The brunette just stared at her long boney fingers for the longest time...her and the interview just sat with each other in awkward silence the only sound could be heard was the settling of the pipes and drops of water hitting the floor ever so often.

The interviewer cleared his throat awkwardly and rubbed the back of his neck" So Iris, What has been on your mind? You've been quite a fir awhile" he asked.

Iris looked up to look at the side... looking at the only window which had iron bars well more like at the dark clouds forming, she didn't respond until a couple of seconds later" Just thinking..." She said quietly.

He raised a brow at this" of what?"

" Of the moment when I gained clarity..." She replied simply as she watched the slowly began to hit the earth below and drip down into the basement.

A future...was even possible for the brunette...for her child. Iris thought about Maurice's words for the longest time...it seemed like a blissful future seemed my like fantasy than anything...letting go of the past. How could one let go of the past when it's shadow stuck to you where ever you went! She tried!...god she tried to move on...but it's easier said than done. Iris didn't want to live her life alone...she didn't want to end up the person she was now...she didn't want this! It wasn't like she loved the life of chaos and darkness, like her brother she once wanted a home, a family...a future.

But every time she tried to achieve this it was taken from her...it was like the universe was punishing her sins and failures. Her father...Moon...her grandfather...Tina...Cloud...all they died because she couldn't save them nor any of the victims of the Simian Flu. She may have stopped AO but she was a monster just like them...she killed and hunted down others just like them, she could never wash the blood off her hands or crave away the brand they scourged into her skin on the back of her neck...it didn't surprise that her kind denounced her as human but...it still hurt to be cast out by them.

She had lost everything back then...her family...her friends...her home...her husband...everything was gone, she wanted to end it all to end the pain but she met a glimmer of hope in Malcolm...annoying but a glimmer hopes no less. To have a fresh start, to have a new home but that hope soon fell as soon as her namesake was revealed...she was shunned...she was hated...she had no place among them, they judged her before she was even given a chance, of course, they wouldn't have sided with during that incident only Malcolm pleaded in her defense but Dreyfus and the others minds where already set long ago... So many had lost their loved ones to the flu Dreyfus mainly...she had no chance.

They denounced her and threw her out alone in the desolate world...She was only 18 and by that time she had seen death, had killed, witness acts of savagery and much much more. She was alone with only faithful Bruce to keep her company, in the beginning, it was hard...being by herself, no in really taking care of herself but more in the solitude in sense but as time went on she became numb to this longing and soon becoming a desire for distant from all individuals well until her quiet life was interrupted by certain ape called Cloud, making her once lonely existence have a short time of warmth and friendship...which ended in grief...it proved she was not meant to be with others.

She planned to live my life out of these woods, she planned to never get involved with anyone again and went on like that for years, she wasn't here when the colony came in the woods to fix the dam, she decided to travel around that time so she didn't get caught up with the situation with the apes...with Koba...she was actually glad she didn't, she didn't know what would have happened if she saw Koba again...if she saw Caesar again during that time. No doubt the same how it was going now if not worse and most likely with the brunette trying to kill Koba for what he did to Cloud.
Despite how she tried to stay hidden she was found and no much how she tried to run into her brother again she did...she missed him, god did she missed him. She knew where his home was she could have gone to him many times over the years...she was tempted to more than once but her past experiences just showed her being part his life would prove disastrous... Along with lingering fear what the ape truly thought of her.

" Does he...does he really?" Iris questioned to herself quietly.

"Do you really think that?" A voice said to her in a mocking tone.

This caused the brunette to look up figure a tall dark figure, it was tall but no defining features of its own.

" Do you really think he cares about you a human? A murderer"

Iris's eyes widen she started at the figure"I knew what I've done... I don't need him to care about me, he doesn't need me" she told the voice firmly.

"You're lying through your teeth soldier" the voice now appeared as her old training officer from the hell of training camp she was taken to back then, he was middle-aged man with bus cut with bad teeth God she used to get sick at the sight of them, she couldn't even look at them even now.

" Your human, he's an ape, an enemy to human race your own kind which you betrayed!" The man said now circling around her.

" That's not true, actions make enemy, not species!" Iris raised her voice turning around to face him.

He laughed" You aged but still naive like that you back then, little Iris Rodman striving to belong in a world that rejected you so much that you go look for it in kongs"

He smirked darkly" So desperate for love and acceptance you went into the arms of a disgusting ape."

Iris felt her whole body freeze up at this" No I loved Moon, I loved Moon with all my heart " she told him trying to bury how his words making her question herself.

The man scoffed " love doesn't exist between our kind, but you should know how that ends up" he said now pointing behind her which causes her to turn around to look at two other figures in that darkness coming towards her.

" I told you back then"she saw a hand sign as they git closer to reveal themselves showing her an elder chimp but shock her to the core was the familiar fence like scar covering thee side whole one side of his hairless " P-Pope..." She said very quietly eye still holding the evil they held back then, her eyes shaky looked towards figure the long hairy arm had wrapped around the neck, she brought her hand to her mouth as she tried to hold back a cry" You're a corruption, mess with apes heads" Pope continued to sign as Iris looked upon her deceased husband who stared at her with a somber expression" Iris...why did you let me die...didn't you love me" he signed.

Iris blinked open wide as tears started to run down her cheeks not noticing the blade Pope had risen over the other chimps head " I-I tried-

" You failed me...you replaced me with Jimmy" is all he said before closing his eyes and embracing the blade that went into his heart

" NOOOOooo!" She let out voice cracking scream as she reached desperately for him but it was too late...once again she had to watch the one she loved bleed out on the dirt in front of her" He is free from you now and now you be marked" Pope signed and holding a burning rod I don't her face.

Great fear overcame as she stumbled back and only to feel a hand on her shoulder making her snap her head to see Onyx
" I will comfort you" he signed sickeningly both apes where front and back of her, Onyx sank his teeth into her shoulder once again while Pope once again branded her, she let out a terrible wail before collapsing on the ground curled up into a ball shaking.

She peeked through her long dark hair to look at the nightmares of her past
" You're disgusting, just look at you" Pope pointed to her scarred body" Caesar disgusted by you, you think he loves you, accepts you, he thinks your a monster" Pope taunted to her.

"SHUT UP!" she screamed hiding her face into the dirt, tears falling down as she gritted her teeth.

" He can't even bring himself to touch you" Onyx added.

What the ape said was true...not once did her brother touch her sent they reunited...Iris thought it was because of tension but...was because of disgust.

" Iris..." A softer but masculine voice spoke up which slowly made her lookup of the shield her arms made for her eyes to see her father...blood coming out of a gaping hole him chest staining his button-up shirt causing her to hyperventilation.

" Why?...why did you fail me Sweetheart?...why you did you become a killer?" His voice gurgled due to something in his throat which revealed to be blood as it dripped out his mouth.

Right when he said that she felt something in her hand and looked down to see magnum in her hand along with that dead bodies all around " N-No I didn't want to " she said before dropping it into the blood soaked dirt and backing away from it petrified.

"Why didn't you save me, Iris, you promised to find me and Ethan a new home" A small little girl appeared out the darkness next to her father, this little girl had braids in her hair with a blue overall dress and her head leaning to side weird way.

" T-Tina" she barely managed to spit out.

" You failed everyone Iris..."

Iris mind was completely broken at this point as she rugged her fingers into the dirt and let out death rattling scream, everything seemed crushing down on her body and soul, her hand held her chest tightly feeling her ability to breath as vision began to spin...was she dying...it felt like she was...where would she go? Heaven? Probably not...they didn't want her up there...Hell? No worse than living...she just wanted to sleep forever, she brought her hands to rest on her stomach making pause remembering her baby bump...my baby...no... She couldn't give up yet...her baby didn't deserve this...her baby needed a chance...a chance for a future" Baby. I'm sorry mama is messed up...but mama will do her best to make sure you have a chance for a better future than mine" she said rubbing her bell" it was then she saw hands. hands reaching to grab her.

" Nononono!" She tried to fight off violently.

She could have sworn she could hear a voice calling out her name.

" Don't touch me! Don't touch my baby!"

" Iris..."

She continued to fight and looked like she doing well though the hands were strong and persistent.

" Iris"

" Fuck off!"

" Iris!"

" Leave me alone!"

" Iris!" The voice was more strong this time but gruff.

Iris blinked at the voice, it sounded familiar the darkness that clouded her vision slowly began to fade away " Iris.." The figure then spun her around making her back his thick chest with one arm around her waist the other put a hand over her chest

" Breath..." It said firmly" breath slowly" Iris still confused but did as constructed slowly breath in and out raspy breaths while the hand helped guide her lungs. Her weak gaze turned to look behind her to see the king.

" C-Caesar..." She said hoarsely

Caesar nodded as he moved some hair out her face then cradling it" You started acting strange...violent...you hit Zane...looked like your asthma...came back" he replied as he looked her over.

Iris looked all around her to see couple apes and that she was still in the hut...it was a hallucination...it wasn't real...even so, she was still shaken up tears were coming out her eyes again as she felt sobs pour out her mouth.

Caesar's eyes grew softly as he brought his arms around her and held her close to him" Shhhh..." He told her softly" Your safe..." He said rubbing her back" your safe" she let out choked sobs with harsh breaths " I love you, Iris..." he told her in her ear, she was completely taken...she then closed her eyes again leaning into her brother's embrace.

Hey, guys here's the new chapter sorry it took so long life really got in the way and had some problems recently made not a very happy person -.-... But I feeling better now and I hope you like ^^
