Chapter 3

The raven haired beauty awoke to find herself in bed laying next to Gohan. 'Huh? How did I get here?' She wondered. She sat up to get out of bed only to have herself forced back down. She looked down only to see that the half saiyan was holding her while still deep asleep. 'What do I do? I can't get out of his hold,' blushing, it was then that she realized that there was something around her waist. 'W-what is that!?' She thought as she felt it pull her tighter. It wasn't hurting her it was just pulling her closer to Gohan in a protective manner. 'I-is that a tail!? H-he has a tail!?' She mentally shouted in shock it seemed like the more she moved the more tightly it got. "Gohan let me go!" Videl shouted but he didn't even flinch. 'Man he can sleep,' she thought when suddenly Chichi busted throw the door.

"What happened?" Chichi asked in a worried tone looking at the poor girl.

"He won't let go of me," Videl sighed in frustration. She'd managed to get his arm off of her but his tail was not budging from her waist. Not that she minded that he was holding her it was just the whole idea of him having a tail was kind of freaking her out.

The Ox Princess tried to calm her down. "Oh don't worry dear I'll solve that Gohan we're out of food!" Chichi shouted causing the Demi-Saiyan to shoot up out of bed and his tail unwinding itself from around Videl. 'This boy is just like his father,' she mentally sighed. 'Well now she knows he has a tail. Hopefully she can accept that he's not like any other teenaged boy her age.'

"What no food?" Gohan pouted looking down at his now growling stomach.

"Unbelievable," Videl scoffed in complete shock then all of a sudden they heard running down the hall causing all three of them to turn heads towards the door as Goten bursts through it.

He frowned. "No food? My life is over!" the Goku mini dramatically wailed.

Mrs. Son shook her head looking over at her youngest son. "Hahaha no the food's not ready yet but I'll call you when it's done. Come on Goten let's leave these two lovebirds alone," Chichi said with a wink as she and Goten exited the room. 'Man this boy is his father's child...They both are,' she thought as she began to think of her late husband.

"Uh Gohan?" the raven asked looking at him from where she was sitting which was still in his bed.

The demi saiyan looked into her clear blue eyes. "Yes Videl?" he responded. 'I can't believe she slept in my bed.' he thought and while nothing happened between the two it felt nice to have her close by him. He wanted to protect her. He didn't understand why but he had a desire to make sure that she was okay. He'd hoped that he didn't make her uncomfortable by putting her in his bed. He thought that she was going to protest but what cane out of her mouth next took him completely by surprise.

"You do know that you have a tail…Right?" She asked looking at the brown furry thing as it still clung to her waist.

His eyes immediately looked down. 'Oh, shit! Why is it doing this!?' he shot a horrified look at his tail before releasing it from her waist. "Oh yeah I know I was born with it," Gohan said trying to sound normal. 'Well no point in trying to hide it now I just hope she doesn't think that I'm a freak.'

She watched as his tail wiggled around before it wrapped itsself around his waist. "And how is one born with a tail?" Videl curiously asked.

"Um I don't know my dad had one and I have one so it's hereditary," Gohan said scratching the back of his head. 'Oh no she's asking so many questions I can feel it come on mom hurry up with making breakfast,' he prayed.

"Hmm okay," Videl replied in a calmly manner 'I suspect that there's more to it than that but I won't pry I can wait for him to tell me everything,' she plopped herself back on his bed with both of her hands on her back supporting her head. "Hey Gohan would you be interested in participating in the WMAT this year?"

He thought for a moment. 'I've never actually been before...it could be fun...not to mention I could pay homage to my father and I'm sure the others would want to go as well.' he came the a decision. "Sure but is it okay if I invite some friends to participate with me?" replied the demi saiyan.

Her face lit up, "Awesome sauce! And I don't see why not the more people the better the challenge will be!" Videl said enthused.

'This is gonna be really fun...I wonder what Piccolo has been up to I'm sure him and Vegeta would love this opportunity,' he thought smiling as he laid back down on the bed.

"Now are any of your friends stronger than you?" Videl asked curiously.

The son of Goku smirked in a way that would make his father's rival proud, "Nope not even close," he said confidently.

"Wow that's very impressive um since you are the prodigy of a great martial artist and you yourself are obviously trying to become a great martial artist...not to mention that you're way better than my dad could ever be I was wondering..." She paused. "I was wondering if you could teach me how to fly," Videl said blushing.

"Thanks and I can teach you," he smiled. 'Her blush is so cute.'

"Breakfast is ready!" Chichi called from the kitchen.

"Come on let's eat!" Gohan shouted in excitement as he and Videl made their way to kitchen.

"Okay okay already jeez," said the raven with a light laugh 'Man he really loves food' She thought as she sat down at the table.

"Hey Gohan can we play today," the Goku mini asked already seated at the table. "Videl can come too."

The demi saiyan looked over towards his little brother. "No not today sport." he said softly. Goten frowned and looked down. He'd wanted to spend some time with his older brother. "Today I'm going to teach Videl how to fly," Gohan continued as Chichi put the food on the table there were pancakes, waffles, bacon, eggs, ham, sausage and fruit.

"You'll start teaching me today?" she asked smiling as she fixed her plate.

Gohan looked at her and saw a sparkle in her big blue crystal like eyes. "Yeah of course flying really isn't that hard all you have to do is find your Ki and focus your energy then you have to learn how to control it," he said also fixing his plate.

"Alright that's enough talking about flying right now let's eat first and then you can concentrate on flying later," Chichi said as she and Goten fixed their plates.

"Okay mom," Gohan said as he and Goten woofed down their food. The plates began stacking up high between the two boys as they ate.

"How did you ever get use to them eating like this?" Videl asked the Ox princess as she watched the two demi saiyans eat.

"You never do you should've seen their father he was absolutely without a doubt far worse than the both of them combined. He was a skilled fighter and a loving husband but the man would run if he ever saw a sponge," Chichi smiled shaking her head as she ate.

As Gohan and Videl finished their breakfast they both changed their clothes and went outside. "So what are we doing Gohan?" the pigtailed teen asked as she started stretching in the grass.

The demi saiyan placed two fingers on his chin and thought for a minute. "Um well first I should teach you how to master control of your Ki and then we can move onto flying?" he finished with a smile.

She smiled, "Sounds good," Videl said as she sat down on the ground Indian style. She took a deep breath to relax her body.

Gohan sat in front of her also sitting Indian style. "Okay first in order to fly you have to tap into that hidden energy inside you it should be easy for you since you already have martial arts experience," he smiled.

"Um I don't know what you mean. What energy is inside me?" she sat with a puzzled look on her face.

Unknown to them Goten had ran outside to follow the two teens only to jump in between them startling Videl. "Big bother can I show her? Can I?" he asked.

"Goten you were suppose to go play somewhere else," Gohan stated looking at his little brother.

"I know and I started to follow this pretty butterfly but then I heard what you were talking about and I wanna show her can I?" the Goku mini begged.

"Sure, squirt." Gohan said finally giving into his little brother's pleas.

"It's like this Videl," Goten said as he shot a kai blast through the nearest mountain only it didn't just go through it the blast blew up the whole thing. The world champ's daughter looked over at the boy in shock.

'Nice leave it to him to over do it,' Gohan thought mentally palming his face. "So like I was saying everyone has that energy inside and all you have to to gain control of it is focus your Ki by meditation until you bring it out," he explained as he walked over to his little brother. "Hey Goten I'm going to need you to go off and play while I teach Videl how to control her energy." he whispered.

"But no fare! You still haven't taught me how to fly yet," pouted the little demi-saiyan.

His big brother sighed. "Well, you're right I do still have to teach you but you already know how to control your Ki Videl doesn't and once I teach her how to control hers I'll make it up to you. I'll even throw in some of our own flying lessons. Okay squirt?" Gohan ruffled his little brother's hair..

The Goku mini's pount turned into a small smile, "Well okay but if you promise…then I guess it's okay but I'll hold you to it Gohan!" he said running off to find something to do.

He chuckled after his little brother, "Sorry about that do you understand though Vi?" asked Gohan walking back over to her.

She had a mixed expression on her face. "I saw but I still don't fully understand," sighed the raven in frustration. 'What the hell? Goten just blew up that mountain and he's only a little kid!' Videl shouted mentally.

The spiky haired teen scratched his head trying to think of how to better explain. "Here I'll show you," Gohan said as he started forming an energy ball in his hands. "See? Like this. This is what your Ki looks like when you pull it out of you. Just relax your body like you're meditating. Take deep breathes and slowly draw the power out."

"Oh okay I think I've got it," Videl said as she started to concentrate. She was having a hard time relaxing her body. She was way too tense.

"Vi you'll never pull it out if you're all tense like that you've got to relax and loosen up," Gohan said watching her try to loosen up. They sat together outside for what seemed like hours and Gohan could tell that she was getting impatient.

She let out a huge sigh as she continued to concentrate trying loosen up. She was still very stiff.

"No good you're still stiff," Gohan said. "Okay close your eyes."

She'd raised a brow, "Why?" Videl asked.

"Just do it" Gohan said with a sigh.

"Okay," Videl said as she closed her eyes.

"First take a couple of deep breaths in and out to help relax and ground you." he said. The pigtailed girl followed his directions breathing deeply in and out. "Now imagine that there's a pole and you're trying to pull on that pole to get it closer to you," Gohan said. 'Hopefully this helps her.' He thought as he watched her concentrate.

"I don't see how that's going to help but okay." the raven haired beauty said as she imagined herself pulling a pole closer to her and suddenly she felt something warm in her hands.

The half saiyan's eyes lit up in joy, "You did it Vi!" Gohan said as he watched her bring her inner energy out.

Videl opened her eyes following the warm feeling near her she looked down and saw a bright light glowing from her hands. "Wow this was inside of me? That's amazing!" Videl said as she watched the light glowing from her hands.

"Let's go show Chichi!" She said enthused as she got up off the ground but as she got up she fell over landing on Gohan panting as if she had just ran a mile. Lucky for her he caught her and stopped her from falling any further.

"Are you okay Videl?" Gohan said with a worried look on his face. 'That must have taken a lot out of her,' he thought.

"Y-yeah I'm fine," she replied, a heavy blush stained her face. 'OMGOMGOMGOMG! He caught me! How could I have been so clumsy?' She thought.

"Maybe you should take it easy. The energy that you brought out can sometimes make you exhausted after using too much but in your case this is your first time bringing your Ki out so it just took a lot out of you. You have to keep practicing it in order to get better at it," the Son of Goku said as he helped her up.

"S-so in other words it's basically like stretching a muscle?" Videl asked as she stood up in his arms causing her blush to deepen. 'Is it bad that part of me doesn't want him to let me go? Wait what am I saying? He's my friend!...My hot friend! Kami help me.' She mentally palmed her face as her blush continued to paint her face.

He thought for a minute, "Yeah sort of," Gohan said as he held her hand to help her stand. She wobble trying to gain her balance. "But be careful standing up though."

She nodded, "Okay." she said as she continued to wobble. She managed for a little bit before accidentally tripping over her foot and almost fell but before her face hit the ground Gohan was there to catch her again. 'This just isn't my day today,' she thought as she felt a wave of sleepiness hit her.

"Maybe it'd be best if I carried you inside," Gohan smiled scooping her up bridal style normally Videl would've opposed but she was just too tired and she closed her eyes while they made their way inside the house Goten stopped them.

"HEY GOHAN! HOW WAS TRAINING!? YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT I DID? HUH? HUH? I SAW A LIZARD AND A LADYBUG AND A BUTTERFLY AND A WORM AND THIS REALLY NEAT ROCK!" yelled the little Goku chibi as he rambled on and on about how his day went as well as some of the things he saw.

"Yeah yeah that's great Goten but I'm kind of in a hurry and shhh Videl is trying to sleep," Gohan said trying to get by his little brother. 'I love him but man he can really be annoying when he wants to be.' he thought.

"Big brother what happened to Videl?" Goten asked as he watched Videl asleep in Gohan's arms.

"Nothing really she's just tired is all." Gohan said. 'She fell asleep I'd hate to wake her up she looks so peaceful.' He thought as he looked at her fast asleep in his arms. the demi saiyan carried her in his room and puts her in the bed. "Sleep well Vi." He said as he kissed her forehead before leaving the room. 'She'd kill me if she ever found out I kissed her.' He thought but little did he know that raven was completely awake the whole time.

'D-did Gohan just kiss my forehead?' Videl thought as she blushed a deep red she touched her forehead where the spiky haired teen had kissed her. 'Does this mean that he likes me?' she asked as she tried to figure out if she should be mad or not.

Meanwhile Chichi was in the middle of a phone conversation with her one and only best friend. "Bulma I'm telling you she's Gohan's girlfriend and she's so pretty. She will make perfect grandkids for me!" she smiled.

"That's great Chi! I can't wait for Trunks to be old enough so he can give me grandkids of my own!" Bulma shouted through the phone in excitement. "I wonder if I can meet this girl she sounds like an amazing girl I'm sure everyone will love her. You said she's the daughter of the famous Mr. Satan huh? Well that certainly interesting I think I'll throw a party that way everyone can meet her I'm sure they'd be interested in her as well."

"Oh we'll be there that I'll make sure of," said the Ox princess.

"Oh I know the perfect outfit for Trunks he's going to look so cute," Bulma said she was cut off by a sudden boom that was heard in the background. "Goddamn it Vegeta if I've told you once I've told you a billion times! Stop wrecking the GR! I just fixed it yesterday!" shouted a very angry bluenette.

"Woman I am the Prince of an entire race! You do not tell me what to do! I do whatever it is I please!" shouted a certain Saiyan Prince we all know and love.

"Well I hate to burst your bubble your royal highness but you rule over only 5 saiyans because everyone else is dead! You think that you can just break whatever you want without a consequence then you're sadly mistaken no sex for a month! I'm so sorry you had to hear that Chi I'll have to call you later," Bulma said clearly pissed off by the tone in her voice.

"No problem B." Chichi said laughing as she hung up the phone. 'That Vegeta never learns.' She thought shaking her head she made her way to her room.
