Chapter 5

**Side note** I know the time is a bit confusing but Videl had been learning to fly for a little over a month. ~Number1dbzgal ^^

"Hey Videl?" Erasa asked.

The champ's daughter looked up from her notebook, "Yes?" she answered.

"So word is going around that you're entering the WMAT. Is that true?" Her blonde best friend asked as they both sat in class. Two weeks had gone by and Videl could finally fly with full control of her ki thanks to Gohan. Now he could train her and it would be just in time for the tournament.

"Of course and I plan on winning this year." the raven confidently smirked as she turned to write answers on her paper.

Erasa smirked, "That's my girl!" she said writing answers on her paper as well. "You know Vi ... I have noticed that you've been hanging around Gohan lately...What's up with that?" she whispered causing a blush on her bestie's face.

"W-well Gohan has actually been the one helping me train for the tournament," she explained.

The short blond haired girl's eyes widened in shock, "Wow he must be pretty strong to help you out with your training then," she gushed nudging her bestie's side.

Videl smiled, "Yeah he is," she replied. The demi saiyan had changed her life in a new way. Opening her up to all kinds of fighting techniques that her father had otherwise told her were fake and tricks. She would now be learning them and she was excited. She heard shifting behind her and she turned to see that Sharpener was sitting behind her and he kept peaking over her shoulder trying to get the answers. "Will you cut it out!" she hissed as she covered her notes.

He frowned playfully, "Oh come on babe-I-I mean Videl sharing is caring." The blonde jock said with a wink.

Gohan glared at the blonde haired jock, "Sharpner you're never going to get far in life if you cheat." he said as he wrote on his paper.

He pouted, "Awe come on give me a break I can't see the board!" Sharpener shouted in frustration.

Erasa rolled her eyes at her classmate. Even she could admit that he could be a bit dramatic at times. "Well then you should've asked to sit somewhere else or maybe you should go get glasses." she said snickering at the thought.

"What no way! Glasses are for nerds!" Sharpner shouted in horror.

"Glasses aren't all bad. They're meant to help you see and besides some people can actually pull of glasses." Videl commented as she stole a quick glance at Gohan who was concentrating on his paper. 'I wonder what he would look like with glasses,' she thought blushing.

"Yeah right the only person fit to wear glasses is nerd boy over here." The blonde said as he put his feet up on the desk and leaned back in his chair.

The demi saiyan chose to ignore the blonde's poor attempt at an insult. "You're going to get in trouble again Sharpner." he warned as he looked over at him and then back at his paper.

"Mind your own business brains! I'm trying to get some sleep," Shaprner said too loudly causing the teacher to look back and see him.

"That's yet another detention Mr. Pencil!" The teacher said as he frowned pushing his glasses up.

"Awe fuck!" He shouted falling out of his chair.

"Watch your mouth." The teacher said just then the bell rang. "You are all dismissed! Mr. Pencil come here I'd like to have a word with you."

"Awe man." he sighed as he watched his classmates leave the room.

Videl shook her head as she, Gohan and Erasa walked out of class. "Why does it seem like he gets detention every day?" she asked rhetorically.

Erasa snorted, "Cause he does!" she laughed.

"I tried to help him out once but he did nothing but blame me for him getting in trouble so I stopped trying to help." Gohan said as he scratching his head.

The short haired blond girl sighed. "It's not you Gohan. Sharpner just wants to do whatever he wants when he wants. You can't save everyone." She shrugged and then looked at Videl. "Well I'll catch you love birds later." She winked as she ran to her next class causing Gohan and Videl to blush.

"Erasa get back here!" Videl yelled but it was too late the short haired blonde had turned to run around the corner. 'I'm gonna make her pay for this!'

Gohan wanted to try to calm her down but he was just as fearful of her as he was of his mother. 'Sometimes I forget just how scary she can be...hehehe' he thought just as he felt someone grab his arm and when he looked down he saw red hair. 'Angela?' he thought.

"Hiyah Gohan, what's say you ditch this slut and come hang out with a real woman?" The purple eyed girl said as she clung to the Demi-Saiyan's arm in a flirtatious manner. 'Oh no not this again. I'd rather eat dirt than hang out with her.' His nose wrinkled as he smelled an unpleasant smell which he guessed was coming from her skirt. 'She smells like fish and other men' He thought in disgust.

Seeing Angela pissed Videl off. She hated her and she hated the fact that she was all over Gohan. She was the biggest slut in school and she could get almost any guy she wanted. Videl had just about enough of the redheaded girl pushing her breasts all over her crush so she marched over to her and removed her hands from around his arm. "Excuse me but I'm not a slut! Unlike you I don't go around sleeping with every guy who gives me the slightest bit of attention and Gohan would rather eat dirt than hang out with trash like you!" the raven haired girl said coldly as she glared at Angela.

The redheaded teenaged girl flipped her curly hair over her shoulder. "Hmf! Well the way I see it you couldn't possibly know how to please him. I mean after all you are a virgin." She giggled with a cocky smirk.

"That may be true but at least I'm not the one walking around with an infection." Videl said with a smirk.

"I don't have an infection!" She squealed angrily. She couldn't remember who she had sex with last but it had to have been at the party she had gotten drunk at last week. She tried masking the smell with perfume in hopes no one would be able to smell it. "Hmf! well we'll see who ends up with Gohan in the end. You better watch you back." Angela said as she walked away flipping her hair. 'I will make him mine!'

Gohan looked down and signed. This was going to be a long day.

The raven haired teen walked over to her locker to and opened it to put her books inside, "What's wrong Gohan?" she asked as she saw that he was looking down.

"Nothing... it's just that I really don't like her like that." said the spiky haired teen shivering in disgust causing Videl to laugh. "It's not funny!" he protested.

She smiled, "No no you're right its hilarious." Videl said as she continued to laugh.

Gohan rolled his eyes, "Haha very funny well at least I'm not the one that's short." he smirked. This caused Videl to stop laughing. Oh how he loved teasing her about her height. He loved how short she was compared to him. He found it very cute.

"Oh come on I'm not even that short!" She whined poking her lips out as they walked to their next class.

Gohan couldn't help but that that the face she was making was cute. "Haha how tall are you again?" he asked curiously looking down at his friend. She mumbled something but he didn't quite catch all of it. "What?"

"I said 4'11." she repeated blushing.

The demi saiyan thought for a moment. "Wow, yeah that is pretty short." he smiled sweetly.

Videl frowned, "Yeah yeah rub it in my face why don't you." she said looking down. 'He probably doesn't even like short girls like that,' she thought sadly.

"Why? I think it's adorable that you're short." Gohan said without thinking.

"R-really?" The blue eyed girl said as she blushed. 'H-he thinks I'm adorable?' she mentally smiled.

"Yeah." he smiled as a light blush painted his face. Just then the warning bell rang. "We'd better go before we're late."

"Y-yeah right." the pigtailed girl said as she and the demi saiyan went their separate ways to each other's classes. When she got into her classroom she saw her best friend already writing down information from the board. Videl sat in her seat next to her best friend and quickly opened her notebook to start writing. Her friend then slipped her a piece of folded up paper. Videl opened it up and began to read.

'So what's up with you and Gohan? You guys have gotten awful close since you guys started training together. When he first got here you were hell bent on figuring out his secrets and now all of a sudden you guys have been buddy buddy. Are you guys dating? Did you guys kiss yet? Did you fuck? I gotta know.'

'What the hell!?' Videl mentally shouted 'She is crazy.' she rolled her eyes sighing as she wrote on the piece of paper. She then folded it and handed it to her best friend. Erasa took it and opened up the paper quickly reading it.

'Gohan and I are just friends. Yes we've gotten close because he's been torturing me in my studies and helping me train. THAT'S ALL. No we're not dating but I do like him and I doubt he feels the same way about me. And you're perverted as hell for those last two things.'

Erasa giggled as she read the last part. She wrote on the paper and gave it back to her. Videl took the paper and began to read it.

'Lol are you nuts!? Gohan totally has a crush on you! A blind person could see it. He always looks at you with puppy dog eyes when you're not looking.'

Videl blushed as she stared at the note. She nudged her best friend who was sitting next to her trying to get her attention. She'd grown tired of writing messages back and forth. "Are you sure?" She asked as she twirled her hair looking down at her desk blushing.

"Yes Vi." Erasa said with a smile.

"Well he has a funny way of showing it." Videl said frowning as she gripped one of her pigtails. She turned to glare at the board in frustration.

'Man if only Gohan knew what he was getting himself into haha.' Erasa mentally laughed nervously as she looked at her best friend. A Sweat droplet slid down her forehead as she put her head down and wrote on her paper.
