Last Time…

It had been a few days since Gohan and Videl had spoken or seen each other since their fight and Videl was nervous that she'd see him in school. Erasa had eased some of her worry earlier that morning and she felt better when he didn't show up for their first period. As the bell rang for her next class Videl gathered her books and began to head towards the door. She looked down not paying attention when suddenly she bumped into a large hard object causing her to lose her balance. She began to stumble and almost fell had it not been for the object in front of her stopping her fall. She felt two big strong hands hold onto her shoulders starting her so that she didn't fall and when she looked up she immediately frowned realizing who the strong hands belonged to.

"Hey Videl," Gohan said with a nervous smile.

Now….

Chapter 12

Videl shot a piercing glare at the spiky haired teen. "Gohan," she spat.

The demi saiyan nervously looked at the tomboy scratching the back of his head. "It's good to see you," he said desperately trying to make conversation.

Videl folded her arms and sent him a scowl that almost rivaled Vegeta's. "What do you want?" she asked.

"I just wanted to talk," he explained.

She raised a brow. "Oh so now you wanna talk?"

He nodded.

She gritted her teeth as she heard the warning of the late bell. "I don't know… I have to get to class," she said looking down the hall.

He frowned. "Please Vi?" he begged.

She glared at the demi saiyan. "Why should I when you've been doing nothing but keeping secrets?" she asked.

Gohan sighed he knew she had every reason to be mad. It was his fault for causing such distance between them "Just give me a chance to explain."

She thought for a moment. 'Why should I listen to what he has to say? How do I know he won't lie to me again,' Videl looked into his eyes, they looked hopeful but yet sad. She shook her head and sighed in defeat, "Well?" she asked waiting.

"The day before Bulma's party… I'll explain everything," he said his heart racing at the thought of finally telling her his secret. The pressure was weighing on him.

She glared at him, "You know I'm going to hold you to that right?" Videl fired.

He gulped trying not to cower in fear, "Yes a-and don't worry Videl I plan on telling you the truth."

"Hn."

Gohan smiled slightly looking down at his feet, he scratched the back of his head nervously, "Well, can I ask how you're doing?"

"I'm fine," she stated.

"Um okay," he awkwardly looked down.

She frowned. "Was that all?' she asked curiously

His eyes widened. "No! Well...that is.. I was wondering if you were still going to Bulma's party."

She sighed, "Yeah I might," she said.

Gohan frowned, "Well when I tell you my secrets you might not want to go," he said.

Her eyes widened as the bell rang for class, "Wait what do you mean?" She asked.

He sighed, "It's nothing...nevermind."

She shot him a glared, "Whatever," she said and with that they both parted and went their separate ways to their classes.

One week later...

It had been exactly one week since their convo in the hallway and the two teens were nervous about the upcoming events that would partake during the weekend. Bulma's party was on Saturday that meant Friday Gohan was gonna tell Videl his secret.

Friday morning Gohan awoke nervous and extremely tired. Tired because he hadn't gotten much sleep the night before. He went to the bathroom to get himself ready for school. He was so worried about telling her the truth and about what she'd think of him after. He splashed some cool water in his face, closing his eyes and sighing. He opened his eyes with a look of determination 'You will tell her today, just remember what mom said' he coached as he finished getting ready. Once he finished getting dressed he went to the kitchen to have breakfast that his mom made before taking off for school.

Landing on the rooftop and careful not to be seen, Gohan made his way inside the school building. He made his way down the stairs to the main hallway. He'd been landing on the rooftop at school ever since Videl found out he was Saiyaman, he'd long since felt there was no need to try and keep up appearances with his jet copter. Gohan walking into class and sat right in his seat putting a head down. 'I really hope she'll still like me once this all over,' he thought sighing. He reluctantly picked his head up every few minutes to see which one of his classmates were present, trying to keep a special eye out for a certain girl rocking her signature pigtails. He yawned, 'Man I'm tired. I should get some sleep,' he put his head down for a few minutes only to be tapped on the shoulder. He lifted his head up to see that it was Videl. She looked like she wanted to say something to him but instead she frowned and sat in her seat next to her best friend.

"What's with Gohan?" She asked quietly pulling a book out of her bag.

Erasa looked towards him, "I don't know I haven't spoken to him today. He just looks really tired," the blonde answered.

"Oh," she said, biting her thumbnail. She was anxious to say the least. Today she would finally know the truth about Gohan. It excited her and yet made her nervous to what kind of things he would be hiding from her.

"Why didn't you ask him when you tapped him?" her best friend asked.

Videl bit her lip, "I don't know… I- it's complicated."

Erasa shook her head, "Everything is complicated when it comes to the two of you. Whenever you two get to be okay again I'm gonna need you to give me all the details or I'll take you shopping again," she threatened.

"You would dare!" Gasped Videl.

"Eh hem! Miss Satan is there something you would like to share with the class?" the teacher asked pushing his glasses up on his face.

She blushed, "No sir," she replied.

"Alright then, pay attention," he said continuing a lecture that no one was paying attention to.

"Fine!" Videl whispered so only Erasa could hear. All she got back was a satisfied smirk from her best friend. The two turned their heads forward in an attempt to at least look like they were paying attention.

Later on that evening...

He really wanted to tell Videl the truth about him. It was eating away at him and he knew that he was pushing her away...he didn't want to but he just didn't want to get hurt and more importantly ...he didn't want to hurt her. Unknown to him the final bell had rung and the demi saiyan looked up to see that his classmates were getting up out of their seats. He caught Videl out of the corner of his eye as she was making her way out of the classroom with Erasa. He had to talk to her. Quickly he used his speed to catch up to her.

"Hey Videl?" She turned around and her bright blue eyes stunned him. He felt like the wind was being knocked out of his chest.

"Yes, Gohan?" she said.

Hearing her say his name made his heart beat, "I really want you to come over later after school, can you?"

She bit her lip, "I don't know Gohan," she said.

"Please? My mom misses you and so does Goten," he started.

Her brow raised, "Oh so they're the only ones that want to see me?" she asked.

Suddenly he felt like the air was thinning as he was at a loss for words, "Well ye- I mean no- I-I mean! It sucks not having you around and I-" he paused. 'Am I really gonna do this? Am I really gonna tell her everything?' he took a deep breath. "I miss having you around."

"Really?"

"Yeah so please come over and I will tell you everything you want to know and answer all of your questions.."

Videl smiled, "I would love to come over this afternoon."

Gohan smiled, "Awesome! Let's go," he said as they made their way to the roof of the building. They both flew up into the sky soaring and flying by the clouds. They both landed near a meadow with yellow flowers. "So what do you want to know first?"

Videl blinked, overwhelmed with emotions, 'He's really gonna tell me everything,' "Well how is it that you're able to do the things that you do? I know it's ki and stuff but your brother blew up a whole mountain! Can you do stuff like that? How come you have a tail? And-"

He waved his hands up in front of her, "Woah slow down Vi! And to answer your questions it's because I'm.." he took a deep breath. "It's because I'm not completely human."

The raven haired girl's eyes widened.
