Last Time…

Videl blinked, overwhelmed with emotions, 'He's really gonna tell me everything,' "Well how is it that you're able to do the things that you do? I know it's ki and stuff but your brother blew up a whole mountain! Can you do stuff like that? How come you have a tail? And-"

He waved his hands up in front of her, "Woah slow down Vi! And to answer your questions it's because I'm.." he took a deep breath. "It's because I'm not completely human."

The raven haired girl's eyes widened.

Now…

Chapter 13

"Wait you're serious?" she asked. 'What is he then?'

Gohan sighed, "Yes," he said sitting down in the soft green grass putting a hand up to cover his face. 'God I can't believe I'm doing this. I hope she doesn't run from me.'

She raised a brow and looked down at him, "I wouldn't run what makes you say that?"

The teenage boy looked up at her, his eyes widening, "Y-you can hear me again?"

Videl thought for a moment as she sat down beside him, "Well yeah actually but only from just now. I haven't been able to hear your thoughts since I left to go stay at Erasa's."

'That's weird...I'll have to ask Vegeta about this when I see him tomorrow.'

"Who's Vegeta?" she asked.

He sighed again, "Please be patient I will get to that in due time."

"Okay," she said.

"Alright…" the demi saiyan took a deep breath. "My father is not of this world. In fact he is from a completely different planet called Vegeta. I come from a race of space warriors known as the saiyans. The reason why I am so strong is because it's in my blood to be a fighter."

"So you're an alien?" She looked at him skeptically.

"Half alien," he corrected and then continued. "Anyway my father has saved the world more times than I can count and not too many people knew of him. He didn't want to be in the spotlight."

"So if your dad saved the earth was he at the Cell games by any chance?" she asked.

"Actually yes you see along with being warriors saiyans we have the ability to transform-"

Videl's eyes widened, "Transform?" she repeated.

Gohan nodded, "Yes," he got up from the ground and stood looking down.

The teenage girl could tell that something was troubling him but his thoughts seemed cloudy. "Gohan? What's wrong?" she asked warily.

The half saiyan sighed, "I-I I don't wanna scare you away," he said sadly.

She got off the ground and gave him a hug something he wasn't expecting he turned to look at her and she gave him a sweet smile. "You could never scare me...or hurt me for that matter. The only thing that hurts me is you not being honest with me...You-...I-I care about you Gohan so please trust me. I would never do anything to hurt you."

He stood in awe. He was really in love with this beautiful creature standing before him. "Alight, just stand back," he said. Videl back away from him and he began to power up.

Videl shielded her face from the wind blowing, shutting her eyes she covered them with her hands. 'Wow this is intense,' she thought. She felt a warm heat on her arms and then suddenly the wind stopped.

"You can look now Vi," he said.

She took her hands off her face revealing the tall bright figure that stood before her, "Gohan?" she said awe struck. There stood Gohan with spiky blonde hair and blue eyes. "Oh my god! You are the delivery boy and you are the Gold Fighter!"

He sighed looking down, "Yes, I am sorry I lied to you," he apologized.

"So my dad wasn't really the one that beat Cell was he?" she asked.

Gohan shook his head no.

She took a deep breath, "This all makes so much more sense. I've always had my doubts about my father claiming to be the strongest but since I met you you've all but confirmed my thinking. I get why you hid the truth for so long. To protect your family right?"

"Yes," he said.

"How old were you when you fought Cell?" Videl asked..

"About 11," the demi saiyan said thinking back to the fight. It wasn't something that he liked to think about because that was the day Goku died. He sighed as the memories played back in his head.

Her eyes widened, "But you were just a little kid," she said. "Weren't you scared?"

He sighed again as the fight between Cell played out in his head tears began to form in his eyes, "Yes very much. I was scared that I could beat him and that he would kill all my friends and family then destroy the earth. He-he …" he paused to breathe but his breathing was shaky. "He blew tried to blow himself up but before he could my dad transported him to another planet before he could...he sacrificed himself for me...for everyone all because I didn't have it in me to kill Cell. Once he blew himself up he regenerated and then came back to earth. I was so scared and pissed at myself because had I killed him the first time my dad would still be here and alive with me!" he shouted, breaking down in sobes.

The raven haired girl rushed to his side and gave him a hug, "Shhhh Gohan it's not your fault okay? You hear me it's not your fault! So stop beating yourself up about this."

Gohan's sobs quieted into nothing. He took a deep breath and continued. "I was part of a team of warriors who fought to save the earth numerous times. First it was my father that would save the world and then he passed the responsibility on to me. Do you remember a demon long ago named King Piccolo?" the demi saiyan asked, looking at her.

She thought for a minute, "Yeah I remember learning about him a while back." she replied thinking about the green haired man. "Oh wait! He was at the Cell games too, right?"

"Well yes and no. You see my dad killed him a long time ago but before he killed him King Piccolo had a son and that's him. He was actually my very first mentor and after him was my father. He's also an alien." Gohan said slowly.

"Oh well okay… that makes sense," Videl asked. 'Wow aliens,' she thought. "So since you're half alien Chichi is human right?"

"Yes," he answered.

"Oh wow," Videl said smiling. "No wonder why you're so strong."

"So you're not scared or freaked out at all by this?" he asked. 'This was not what I expected.' He thought as he watched her expression.

"Um no, I'm anything but scared actually. Why would you think I would be scared of you?" she asked.

"Because I'm an alien and a freak. If I don't have control of my powers I could kill you in an instant," Gohan said in a serious manor. 'God I really don't wanna scare her.'

"Well I trust you I know you wouldn't hurt me," she said smiling.

"How do you know that? I could snap you in half with the flick of my wrist if I wanted," he said stroking her face.

"Are you trying to scare me away? Because I'm not going anywhere," the teen girl said stubbornly.

"No I'm just letting you know what you're getting yourself into by being close to me. This is very serious. Fighting is in my blood. Saiyans are 2 things fighters and killers. Though we may look human we aren't the only thing that separates us from humans as far as looks are our tails," he explained.

"Oh that's why you have a tail," Videl thought for a minute. "But wait, how come Goten doesn't have a tail?" she asked.

"My mom keeps his tail cut and I've had mine since I was a little kid. It's been cut off before but it grew back so I just decided to keep it," he said.

"Oh why does she keep his tail cut?" she asked.

Gohan sighed. He knew he would have to explain this, "Well on a full moon a Saiyan transforms into a great ape. If we're not in control of it we can do a lot of damage but if we learn how to gain control in that state we can prevent that from happening. As a child you don't really have that much control of it so you basically go wild with the power. In order to prevent that we cut the tails off even though we're stronger with our tails they're also our weakness," Gohan answered.

She raised a brow, "How are they a weakness?"

"Well our tails are very sensitive so grabbing, biting, or even cutting it off makes us sleepy and it completely drains us however we can learn how to train them to handle the pain," he explained.

"So what happens if someone were to I don't know stroke it?" Videl said thinking about when she touched his tail.

He was taken aback by her question, "Uhh I don't know. Why do you wanna touch it?" he chuckled slightly trying not to blush at the way it sounded..

"Yeah kind of," she said as she pet his tail. 'It's really soft.' She giggled watching Gohan purr like a kitten. 'Haha that's so cute!'

"That feels good but like I was saying Saiyans are super powerful and we undergo transformations. These transformations increase our strength, stamina, agility, speed and size," he said.

"How?" asked the blue eyed girl as she let go of his tail.

"Okay so my normal state is when I have black hair and black eyes but when I transform my eyes turn teal while my hair turns blonde which is what you see before you now. This is what's called a super Saiyan," Gohan explained. "Would you like to see my other transformations?"

Videl nodded. "Yes," she said.

He smirked, "Alight stand back," he said feeling confident. Videl stepped back as she was instructed shielding her face like she did before. Gohan then powered up pushing himself even further to Super Saiyan 2. "And this is Super Saiyan 2."

The raven haired girl raised a brow, "You don't really look all that different," She observed. "How many Super saiyan transformations are there?"

This question caused Gohan to think for a minute, "Um I really don't know. I've only known 1 and 2 but it is possible for more to be out there," he finally said.

"Okay well have you ever tried to push yourself farther than ssj 2?" she curiously asked.

"Yeah actually I have. I can never really get there though. I mean I think I'm close," Gohan said unsure of himself.

"Well I'm sure you could unlock all of your transformations," she said. 'He actually kinda awesome.' She thought as she watched the demi saiyan power down.

"See? This is how I became The Gold Fighter," said the Demi-Saiyan.

"So this is how you got your hair to turn blonde," she said as she began to walk towards him and then around him. "I have to say that the hair does suit you but I like you better with your natural black hair."

"Haha geeh thanks Vi." he said with a hint of sarcasm.

She giggled, "Hahaha you know you love me," she said as she poked her tongue out childishly.

He smiled, "Yep that I do. Even though you're a shorty," he teased, laughing.

She glared at him, "Hey I'm not even that short," she defended as she placed her hands on her hips.

Gohan snickered, "Vi you're 4"11," he said. "That's really short."

She poked her lips out, "Hmf! well so what at least I'm a cute short person," she said crossing her arms over her chest.

He chuckled, "Well if you say so," he joked as he looked at the sky. It was getting noticeably darker outside. "We should probably start heading back now," he said.

"Okay race you!" Videl shouted as she took off into the sky.

Gohan stood watching her fly off. He smirked giving her a head start before taking off himself. They flew to his house and landed by his front door. "Do you wanna go back to Erasa's house?" he asked hopeful that she would stay again.

She smiled, "I should probably be getting back to Erasa's but next time I definitely will. Tell Chichi I said hi will you?"

The demi saiyan nodded, "Of course Vi," he said his voice full with slight sadness that she was leaving.

The young teenage girl looked up at him, "Oh and thank you for telling me the truth Gohan. I am really happy that you trusted me enough with your secrets and you have my word that I will not tell a single soul," she said.

He smiled down into her light blue eyes, 'Damn her eyes are beautiful,' he thought. "I trust you Vi," he said smiling sweetly.

She smiled, "Good," she said as she turned to fly off. "Oh and Gohan?"

"Yes?"

She blushed lightly, "You really think my eyes are pretty?"

'I forgot we could do this again...I really need to talk to Vegeta,' "Yeah Vi I really think that," he said with a blush painted on his face.

She giggled smiling at him before taking off into the sky. 'Thank you,' she thought.

'You're welcome,' he thought smiling to himself before going inside.
