Fire Emblem Fanfiction: Ignatz and Ashe Support Conversation C
Ashe walked through the hallway of Garreg Mach, trying to look inconspicuous. He treaded carefully, trying not to drop the medicinal herbs stored in the many inside pockets of his Officer's Academy jacket. He sighed to himself: back to stealing? What would Lonato think? Ashe hated to disappoint his surrogate father, but it was important. Dedue had rushed up to him, actually starting a conversation for once. "Ashe, I require herbs. As soon as possible. His Majesty is ill!" Ashe had tried to read his emotions, but it was futile: the hulking man's face was always calm and collected. "O-of course, Dedue, anything for his majesty," he had stuttered out: Dedue's deadly serious face always had broken his composure. He shook his head again. He couldn't believe what he had done. He had snuck into Lady Rhea's private quarters and stole some of the highest quality healing plants from her private store. He'd never be able to face her again. As he walked down towards the student dormitory, clasping the plants inside his cloak, he stumbled straight into Ignatz. The two young men tumbled to the floor, all of Ashe's rare herbs, spilled out from his arms, as did a plethora of magic books from Ignatz's. The two quickly gathered their belongings, standing up quickly, shifting their items to be more hidden.
"I'm so sorry, Ignatz , I didn't see you there!" said Ashe, breaking the tension.
"Oh, it's ok," he mumbled back, eyes fixated on the floor. Ashe checked his watch. It had been almost 20 minutes, and Dedue was not a patient man when it concerned his majesty's health. He'd have to make it up to Ignatz later. Ashe resumed his "inconspicuous" walk, throwing a quick goodbye over his shoulder, receiving an indistinct one in return. As Ashe mde his way to Dimitri's quarters where Dedue was sure to be, he thought back to Ignatz. Ignatz was usually reserved and quiet, but not like that. As he knocked on the door of his Majesty's room, Ashe decided to do his best to help the young man regain his confidence.
