Ignatz traversed the library, looking for more books. Lysithea had asked him to grab her the most complicated magic books she could find, undoubtedly to increase her already vast knowledge of the subject. Ignatz couldn't say no to the 15-year old girl, hence his library visit. As he left with three large books on dark magic (The darkest Seteth would allow at least), Ashe came up to him.
"Hey Ignatz, you got a minute?"
Ignatz considered his options. Lysithea was not a patient young girl, and the books were heavy. On the other, Ashe wasn't a rude person: the opposite in fact. This might be a good time to make a new friend.
"Sure. What is it?"
"I want you to teach me how to paint."
Ignatz was shocked. Him? Teach a fellow student to paint? "Impossible," said his introverted, reserved personality. But his overwhelming passion said otherwise.
"Sure. I'll teach you!" Ignatz beamed, a smile overtaking his usually taciturn features. "Just tell me when and where!"
Ashe looked extremely happy, and Ignatz knew he had made the right choice.
"How about every Friday night after Riding class?" asked the blue-haired student, eyes shining with ambition. "I know a spot where the stars are beautiful."
"Sounds good!" Ignatz replied, a grin on his face not that different from the professor's when they were teaching. As the two parted ways, a new spring in each of their steps, Ignatz heading to Lysithea's quarters, and Ashe to the marketplace, they both felt satisfied: each had achieved the first step in their own goals
