Hey, this is my first fanfic. Hope you like it!

11 year old Sara jumped out of the car, grabbing her bag, which is now flying behind her. She is going to be late to school, and her first period teacher is so stingy about tardiness. She cries out "bye mom!" and runs up the steps to her school. The building is a boring brown red looking color, and bright gold colors West Elementary School shine against the faded backdrop.

The bells rings, ding, ding, nearly there, and the classroom is right in front of her. She pushed the door open as the last ding rings through… and she trips over her own feet and lands on the floor, her bag flying, papers spilling out everywhere. Great, what an athlete I am. She hears the giggles in the room, clumsy strange Sara Pearman again.

"Need some help?" a voice calls out to her. It is not one she recognizes. She looks up and gasps. The boy is beautiful, perfectly sculpted blond hair, jutted out chin, and a beautifully shaped mouth. She is cut through her daydreaming when a sharp voice says "Tardy, I see. Again. I'll see you this afternoon for detention, Ms. Pearman. Sara groans inwardly.

Then she zooms in on the boy in front of her, and remembers his offer. She nods her head, and he helps her up. She glances at his eyes, and he caught hers. She looked away and blushed. Who is this boy?

She walks straight into a lamppost, distracted by thoughts of this boy. Ow! She rubs her head with her hand. Already it is throbbing and will turn into a great welt on her head. Sara shakes her head and walks over to her car and climbs in

.

"Nice bump you got there!" her mom comments. She rolls her eyes and does not answer. Her mom continues "by the way, a woman emailed and said that you may have a free scholarship to a boarding school in Maryland! I know you do not love this place, so she is dropping by to talk about it. Aren't you excited?" she says a little bit excitedly and rushed

. What? I stared at mom, dumbfounded. A new school? Mom spoke, "Sara, aren't you happy?" she says a bit desperately "you are not happy here. Maybe you will elsewhere."

I blubber, "but..it. What...yeah, I guess so. " still shell-shocked.
