Guarding

Harry was well aware of the demonic presence outside his building. It had been at his apartment too - settled in the coffee shop across the street if he had to guess, likely drinking some abhorrent concoction. Now, it was in the quad, likely wearing the face of some co-ed or another.

There were occasions where Harry wondered at his recent pattern of behavior. Befriending a demon! That was bad enough, sleeping with one? Well… no one was perfect he supposed, and Hunter was quite good at…ahem...sleeping.

"You don't have to watch over me like you're my guard." Harry sighed as he took a seat on the bench outside his office.

The stalking was, however, not nearly so enduring. Even if it was motivated by justifiable paranoia about demonic attacks and elder reprisals.

Harry glanced at the man beside him with exasperation, "I can handle myself." The man scoffed, chin jotting out as he shed the face of a young blond woman.

"I know." Harry rolled his eyes. Hunter was predictable, down to the hair pouf and the dastardly smirk. He was, unfortunately, also quite handsome. Even more unfortunate, he knew it.

Harry crossed her arms, tilting his head down as he raised his brow. "Then why are you here?"

"I just like looking at you." Hunter hands came up as he shrugged. A flirty smile plastered on his face. He even winked. Harry raised his brow further. "My father's taken an unhealthy interest in Parker's love life - thought I'd hang around, keep an eye out." Hunter's face fell into it's natural neutrality as he gazed across the quad.

"Hang around…md?" Harry's eyes drifting over the quad to follow Hunter's gaze. There was, of course, nothing there but students rushing fervently for lunch. "I'm not dating Parker. And I'm faily positive he's straight."

Hunter rolled his eyes, "Straight as a matchstick, and just as flammable." Harry ignored that violent innuendo - any attempts at murderous arson had likely been some odd form of brotherly bonding Harry didn't want to understand anyway.

"Well then, I see no reason to hang around me." Harry straighten on the bench. He could feel Hunter trying not to look at him. Hunter failed.

"You're gonna make me say it, aren't your whitelighter?"

Harry batted his eyes, "I haven't the faintest idea to what you're refering." Hunter growled. "Demon."

Hunter swayed in his seat, moving side to side before turning to face Harry. Harry mirrored him, a genial smile on his face to match Hunter's scowl.

"I came to see." Hunter admitted through gritted teeth. Harry raised a brow, fluttered his eyelashes, and waited. "I missed you." The words were so quiet Harry only heard them because he leaned closer.

"Well…" Harry grinned as he leaned even closer, lips hovering just a touch from Hunter's. "You're welcome to...protect me, perhaps more efficiently." Hunter raised a brow now. "Perhaps in my office?"

Harry stood from the bench to return to his said office. Hunter chuckled and, being a very frustrating and competitive individual, was leaning against the door when Harry got there.

"You know, Hunter," Harry looked at him as he unlocked the door, "I think I missed you too."
