Jeanette was standing in front of a mirror wearing her signature 80s outfit, a purple baggy turtle neck and a purple pleated skirt. Her hair was in a loose bun. Jeanette was in the room she shared with her sisters and the Chipmunks. She was admiring herself in the mirror.
"I look nice today." Jeanette said,looking at her reflection. "I hope Simon notices."
Jeanette walked out of the room and went to the living room and saw her sister Brittany and her boyfriend Alvin sleeping on the couch in each others arms. Jeanette jumped on the couch, startling Alvin and Brittany.
"We're trying to sleep here!" Brittany yelled then she saw Jeanette and sighed. "Oh, it's you Jeanette." Brittany said,bitterly. "Can't you see Alvin and I are trying to sleep?"
" Sorry guys." Jeanette said. "But do you know where Simon is?"
"How should we know?" Alvin asked. "We don't know and we don't care."
Brittany looked at Jeanette and started laughing. "Oh my god. What are you wearing Jean!"
"I...just wanted to...make myself pretty for Simon." Jeanette said,shyly.
"You? Pretty? In your dreams! Everyone knows that I'm the pretty one!" Brittany said,pointing to herself. "Your..." Brittany began to study Jeanette and her outfit. "Plain Jane."
"Oh..." Jeanette now had tears in her eyes. "I'll...i'll just go..." Jeanette said in a shaky voice.
Jeanette jumped off the couch and walked off crying. She walked for a few minutes before hearing a voice she knew to well.
"Simon." Jeanette said to herself. Jeanette followed the sound of Simon's voice to Dave's music room and saw Simon on the big black piano.
Jeanette entered the room and looked at Simon.
"Hey Simon." Jeanette said. Simon turned his head to her. "May I talk to you?"
"Of course." Simon nodded.
Jeanette jumped onto the piano and looked at her crush.
"Simon...I..." Jeanette began in a nervous voice. "Do I look beautiful?"
"Beautiful is a understatement. You are gorgeous." Simon smiled at his counterpart. Jeanette looked at Simon sadly. "J-Jeanette are you alright?"
"No...Brittany said that I'm not pretty and she called me..." Jeanette paused. "A plain Jane."
Simon took Jeanette's paw.
"Your not a plain Jane, Jeanette. You are beautiful. Just the way you are." Simon said. "And I got the just the thing to make you feel better."
"Really? What?" Jeanette asked.
"This." Simon began. Simon coughed before singing.

When Simon finished singing he looked at Jeanette in a loving way.
"I love Jeanette." Simon smiled.
"I love you too Simon." Jeanette smiled.
