This is dedicated to all the friends I have lost over the years. Either through lack of communication or through time... Even through my own mistakes.
The only words I can say are: I'm sorry.
I can't say or do much more than that.
Onto the story.
Story:
It was a frosty day in Lowee. The Snow reached to the lowest points of the rooftops and even the highest groves.
It was a time of peace and prosperity for the people of Lowee. Nothing bad was happening and everything had gone to normal... Well, almost normal.
A girl who was around 15 years old in terms of her physical appearance, walked out of the main Basilicom, out, and eventually she was facing the forests at the back of said Basilicom.
She walked to the forest and into it. Her name? Rom.
Rom placed a gloved hand on a tree as she arrived to it, with a warm smile she said; "Hello. My dear friend." She took in a deep breath and then carried on past said tree and towards a small clearing.
Her brown hair glistened in the snowy Sunlight of Lowee as the wind gently picked up strains of her hair, playing with it.
Her Blue eyes caught sight of a few flakes of Snow dropping from some of the shrubbery near to the center of the clearing.
She was without her hat today. She had grown taller by a few inches and generally looked similar to Blanc in a way, or Lady White Heart to you and I.
She tilted her head as she arrived at the center of the clearing. She could feel a few tears form in the edges of her eyes, but she blinked them away.
"I miss you." She whispered as she arrived in front of what appeared to be a little shrine. It wasn't dedicated to anyone like Blanc. But. Rather. An old friend of her's.
She hadn't seen this person for over 2 years now... And she made this small shrine in dedication to her friend. She could feel the emotions running through her as she knelt in front of it.
She closed her eyes and Rom could almost picture her friend from a long, long way away. She may be a candidate, she may be a Goddess, she may be someone with Divine blood but... Not even the Divine ones could see those who had passed away.
... Not anymore at least.
A small snowflake landed on Rom's head and she started to feel her tears fall down the sides of her face. She couldn't hold in the emotions for much longer.
The person she had known... Had been so happy. So very, very happy.
Never put a toe out of place... Even if she had been a bit... "Loopy" on occasion.
Rom opened her eyes and took off one of her gloves and placed her hand on the shrine. It glowed... That wasn't normal. But... Maybe, the person was looking at her? Maybe?
She took a look into the skies and slowly stood up. Shaking herself down, she decided she had stayed long enough.
Her time, just like her friend's - Was over.
Not in terms of life. But, Rom knew, she had outstayed her welcome.
So, she put her glove back on her hand and turned around... Not before bowing to the Shrine.
"I'll keep coming back and visiting. But, for now, I have to go. See you later..."
Rom felt a sad smile appear on her face but she had hope, she may one day see her friend again, maybe.
Rom walked slowly away from the Shrine. And... Just between you and me?
I think her friend could see her. Although, from a much further distance away.
The End.
Thank you for reading.
