SAO:BTFL: Chapter 3 – Operation Tokyo Survival

DIH Operative Sean Michalek (Echo 3-1) embedded with Special Forces Group Ghost Squad

Sean and the rest of Ghost Squad sat in one of the many small Study Rooms located within the National Diet Library, around them were various other Special Forces type units, ranging from United States Delta Force to NATO Response Force to British Special Air Service.

"A lot of big names here huh?" Rin asked.

I nodded "We've got all three SAS's, Navy SEALs, SBS, GIGN, GROM, GSG9, I also believe Shayelet 13 is here"

"Isn't that JTF2 over there?" Shiro pointed out.

I nodded "I believe that's CIA SOG next to em', and is that? SAT? Shit, this is a large line up boss"

Rin nodded "Sure is" she pulled out her Cell Phone "We're all set up?"

I pulled out my phone and opened Discord, an app primarily used by gamers to communicate while gaming, however we were using it for a different reason. A Radio frequency is easy to hack into however a Discord Group Chat is not.

"Copy boss" I said slipping my airpods into my right ear and joining the audio chat room.

Shiro and Yu both nodded giving confirmation that they were set up as well.

A tall American man walked into the small study room, behind him a small Japanese female and a tall British man followed. He stopped in front of a white board and hit it gathering the attention of the Special Forces units.

"Hello everyone, thank you for being here, welcome to the 31st Annual Counter-Terrorism Games, last year we were lucky enough to be hosted by Isreal but this year we are here in beautiful Tokyo. Now as you can see behind me is the most confusing Metro Subway map, I've ever seen. This will be simple, one of you lovely ladies will be acting as a terrorist group while everyone else tries to stop you, now, no one will know who the terrorist group is as it will be completely random, much like a trouble in terrorist town match except everyone's the detective and there is one terrorist"

The small Japanese lady started to hand out folders "Now" the British man started "These folders were shuffled and sorted at random, whatever you get is whatever you get"

A folder made its way into the hands of Rin and she opened it, me and the rest of Ghost Squad gathered around her as we read the red slip of paper "Terrorist"

We all nodded at each other.

"Now that you know what you are, go out there and cause as much panic as you can" The room wasn't laughing "Ya'll are a hard crowd to please. Anyway, don't worry about civilian casualties, Tokyo Metro along with the Metropolitan Police are aware of what's going on. Have fun"

7:30 am
"Start of Terrorist Timeline"

All the Special Forces Groups have been in separate study rooms for the pat hour and a half. Ghost Squad and I had also followed this rhetoric.

"Alright, once again here's the deal, right here" she pointed to the case on the table "is the fake bomb, our job is to transport this from here to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building"

I reached into the duffle bag and pulled out a Crosman Battlemaster AK Airsoft Rifle, there were three in there, one for me, one for Shiro and one for Yu, along with four Avengers Military Style MOD-II Quick Release Body Armor Vest's used by airsoft specialist's around the world and one AW Custom NE12 Series 1911 GBB Pistol for Rin who had to carry around the fake bomb.

"Michalek" Rin growled.

I put the AK back into the duffle bag "Sorry boss"

She laid out the Metro Map "Alright so we are going to walk into Nagatacho Station and transfer to Akasaka-mitsuke Station via the underground passageway, hijack a subway train which will alert both Tokyo Metro and all the other Special Forces to our activities which is the reason why we will suit up in the passageway, Echo, 1-2 and 1-3 you will deal with the civilians, I will deal with the driver, you all understand?"

"Timeline: Step 1"

I grabbed the Body Armor and placed it over my chest, I then filled it up AK Magazines and placed my cell phone in the pocket situated in the middle of my chest beneath the armor, I then pulled out the Airsoft AK Replica and knocked a mag in and did a cocking motion though it wasn't needed, just felt cool to do. I looked over to the rest of Ghost squad who had just finished suiting up I then said into my airpod "Echo 3-1 to ghost Actual, we are ready over here"

"Ghost Actual to 3-1, copy that, let's move"

"3-1 Copies"

"1-2 Copies"

"1-3 Copies"

We all walked out of the bathrooms at the same time as a group of High School Students from out of Tokyo passed up, the brandishing of my AK caught the attention of a group of girls who proceeded to scream causing the attention to focus on us.

"Good going 3-1" Rin commented in English. Rin only uses English when she's really annoyed with me.

"Not my fucking fault boss" I replied in English.

Shiro and Yu pointed their AK's at the civilians and yelled "Get out of here" in Japanese.

The civilians did as he said and started to run in every which way, we made our way into Akasaka-mitsuke Station, I waved my gun at the Station's guard in a secret way that was designed to let them know that this was a part of the UN event, the station guard nodded and yelled into his walkie talkie to clear the station of civilians before allowing us to pass. To keep up the act I pretended to shoot bb's in the general direction of the civilians, Shiro and Yu joined me. After the last civilian had passed the exit gates we were let through, we ran down to the Ginza line platform.

8:15 am
"Timeline: Step 2"

A subway train had just finished stopping as we ran down the deserted steps. People were stepping out of the train when they say us approaching to which they ran back into the train, we hopped in and split up, I held the back-subway car while Shiro held the middle and Yu held the first car. I could overhear Rin yelling at the driver to go. I looked out the window to see two Special Forces come down the stairs as we started moving

"Boss, they're on to us, just saw the SAS and GIGN run down the platform stairs"

"Copy that 3-1"

"Alright listen, we are cultists with Aum Shinrikyo, we won't harm you if you don't do anything stupid" I pointed towards a High School Student who had her phone out "Meaning you missy, better not call the Police"

She put her phone away in a panic.

The subway's intercom system crackled to life.

"This is a special announcement to all Ginza Line riders, Akasaka-Mitsuke Station and Aoyama-itchome Station have been closed due to a security exercise hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, thank you for your patronage"

"Boss, we are good to get off at Aoyama, I'm sure Toei hasn't mentioned for the subway to not stop there"

"10-4 3-1"

"Timeline: Step 3"

The train came to a stop at Aoyama-Itchome station and we hopped off, Rin explained via the intercom before we got to the station that we were a part of JGSDF Special Forces and that we were working with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police in a Security Training Exercise.

I looked around the platform and spotted the Australian SAS Unit skulking the area. "Boss, the Aussies are here"

"What's the play" Shiro asked as he came up beside me.

Rin and Yu appeared behind us, she was apologizing to my car because I scared them so bad.

"I'm sure that all the other Special Forces have the Government building locked down that only the SAS's are holding down the subway platforms now"

I nodded, this made sense, not to mention, the GIGN are probs still running down the street from Akasaka.

"Take em' out" Rin said.

Me and Shiro smiled "You got it boss"

We dropped the Backpacks we were carrying and rushed up the stairs of the platform, Rin and Yu headed towards the next Subway Train and took off, leaving us behind.

"Ghost 1-2 Taking Command of Echo 1-3, Sean, you ready?"

I looked over at him and nodded. I took the ping out of a Smoke Bomb and threw it into the unsuspecting Australian Team.

"What the fuck?"

"360 PROTECTION"

I came out of the corner and took out one of them out.

"I'm been hit"

"Tighter lets go-AH"

Shiro came out of the corner and took out another, I switched to my knife and ran into the confused circle, taking out the last two.

The smoke cleared and the Aussies held their hands in the air.

"You did good" The Australian SAS Commander commented "Your JGSDF right?"

"Sure" Shiro answered before turning back to me "Echo 3-1 let's move"

"Right"

8:27 am "Timeline: Step 4"

I stepped out of the car we grabbed off the street and of course the building was being evacuated.

"Echo 3-1 to Ghost Actual, 20?"

"Stuck on the Platform"

"Copy that, be advised, Metropolitan Government Building is being evacuated, we're gonna have to sneak in somewhere"

"What's it look like Echo 3-1"

"Delta Force, Spetznaz, Japanese SAT, I assume the British SAS is somewhere nearby, The Israelis and GSG9" I responded.

"Well the SAS-"

Day 8 of SAO

I found myself on the floor of a Street Market, how I got here I don't remember, why I blacked out I also don't remember. I looked to my left to see Sayori crumpled onto the ground beside me which caused me to question something. I looked around the Street Market and noticed that only the NPC's were standing up, all the players were either regaining conciseness or still crumpled onto the floor. I got up and leaned over Sayori's unconscious body and shook her with the intent of waking her up, this however showed to be frivolous as I got response.

I then got up and looked around me once more before walking out of the Market Street into the Main Square. As I entered the Main Square, I found Thinker waking up from whatever was going, I strolled towards him and he gave me a confused look.

"Why is it that everyone else is knocked out but you aren't?"

I shook my head "I was knocked out as well until just three minutes ago, my partner is still knocked out. Do you have any idea of what's going on Thinker?"

Thinker put his hand to his chin and pondered, "This is just an assumption but I'm pretty sure that Emergency Service's are moving everyone to Hospitals where they can keep an eye on them"

This assumption seemed to make the most sense. However, this would have to be a major mobilization of both National and Prefectural Police & Medical Services to pull this off. Not to mention as well that half the people that now live in this world live alone in the Real World much like myself, however I'm sure that the Captain is aware of what's going on and allowed Emergency Services into my dorm room.

"Sean!?" I heard a call come from the entrance of the market street, I waved Sayori over and she joined us "hey, what's going on?"

"We assume that a mass movement of people to hospitals is what's going on" Thinker responded.

"That seems realistic" Sayori concluded.

After a while everyone started to wake up and started to question the situation, they were currently in. Thinker however was quick to explain the hypothesis that we came up with and everyone understood what was going on.

"Alright, you ready to go?" I asked Sayori.

Originally, we were going to take the journey to the Town of Tolbana as it was the last town on the first floor, and we haven't been there yet.

"Yep, let's go" Sayori cheerfully responded.

"Hold on" Thinker stopped us "Before you go"

He opened his menu and a few seconds later a screen with the words Thinker has sent you a friend request popped up on my screen.

"If I ever need future information then this makes it easier for me to contact you no?"

I nodded and accepted the friend request and we set off for the Town of Tolbana.
