"Minister?" Sachi popped her head into my office's doorway.
When AMI5 took off I was awarded the title of Aincrad Minister of Intelligence by the playerbase so Sachi has instead of referring to me as Master Sergeant but as Minister.
"Yeah, what's up Sachi?"
She slipped into my officer, a small girl, around the age of 12 maybe 13 followed in behind her, she was wearing a yellow robe and had a Dagger hidden in a sheath and a Pouch.
"I found this one hanging around the front entrance" She said, pushing the girl in front of her.
I got up from my desk and walked over to her and in an effort not to look down at her I plopped down in front of her and sat cross legged.
"Hello" I said softly "I know you're not five, but can you just tell me your name?"
She looked over at Sachi who gave her a nod "Silica"
I got up from my position and returned to my desk "So Silica, tell me why you were hanging around our front door?"
She looked back at Sachi who sighed "She says that she wants to work for us"
"Huh?" I ask confused, looking at Sachi.
"Of course, not as an Intelligence Operative like Yua or yourself, she just wants to do something, she's scared to go out into the world by herself" Sachi cleared up.
"So, she just wants to busy herself?"
"Yeah"
I look over at her "Silica, from what I can tell, you're not really shy, your still scared, but once you get more comfortable in Aincrad, you'll become more sociable with people, am I correct with my assessment?"
Silica nodded "So how about working with our Foreign Affairs Department? Right now, it's just Yua who just does meetings with the Aincrad Liberation Front, but I think she'd enjoy the help"
"Foreign Affairs?" Silica asked.
"Ahh, right, you probably don't know what that means, Foreign Affairs normally means the relationship between the governments of two countries. However here it means the relationship between two guilds. People who do foreign affairs like Corporal Yua maintain relationships by being friends with people of other Guilds, you know? Like having a group of friends but they all have their own group of friends"
Silica nods her head "I think I get it…."
"As long as you understand the basics, then you'll do fine" I return to the 'Newspaper' I had in my hands. It was just a piece of parchment that could be swiped left or right to change articles, it was written by a group of Video Game & normal Journalists who were trapped into the game called "Anicrad Daily". Nothing interesting was… I look back up to notice the two females haven't left yet.
"Huh?" I ask.
"Minister, just where is Yua?" Sachi asked.
"The corporal is on the 3rd Floor doing some leveling why?" I say quite confused onto why she was asking.
"No, she's not…" Sachi says.
"Huh?" I open my interaction menu and scrolled down to the friends list and opened up CplYua's tab to show the map, however this wasn't the topography of the 3rd floor of Castle Aincrad, instead this was the topography of the 25th floor of Castle Aincrad.
"What the hell is she doing on the 25th floor? We just got there" I complain.
"Let's go" I equip my coat, a black coat with red lining, my symbolizing coat that defines me as the Head of AMI5, for now anyway. I kneel to Silica and ask her a simple question. "You mind holding down the fort while were gone?"
She nods her head "Alright, I'm counting on you", I pull a teleportation crystal out of my inventory, grab onto Sachi and yell.
"Teleport 25th Floor"

Day 256 of SAO
Sachi, Yua and Silica poked their heads into the doorway of my Office, I was reading the Newspaper as I normally did in the early afternoon. "Death tolls lower this month" I mutter to myself, "Yeah, you three need something?" I ask haphazardly not bothering to look up from the article I was reading.
Sachi walked in first, Silica hiding behind her and Yua came in last, Itou's head poked into the doorway "Alright boss, I've off"
"Have fun" I say toward him. He had several orders today in the upper floors. My attention was now turned onto the three girls that were crowding my office, I put the newspaper down on my desk and leaned my arms onto it "as I asked before, do you need something?"
"Master Sergeant"
"Minister"
"Seannnn"
The coo's of the three girls filled the room and made me very suspicious "Yes?"
"What's todays date Minister?"
"Uhhh, it's day 256?" I question.
"No, not how long have we been in SAO, what's todays date?" Sachi asked again.
"Uhh, I know it's July?"
I was very confused as to what they were hinting to.
"Yes, how many days in Jul-"
"It's your Birthday" Silica barged into Sachi's questioning.
"Huh? It's my birthday?"
"It is on the 19th right? That is what you told me" Yua asked if her information was correct.
"It is on the 19th, but today isn't the 19th is it?"
"July 19th, 2002, you, Master Sergeant were born, today you turn what is it now? 21 years old?"
"Yes, Sean is 21 years old now" Sayori confirmed.
"When the fuck?" Sachi asked her very valid question.
"Ya'll beat me to it, who's idea was it?" she asked.
Yua pointed at Silica who pointed at Sachi who rounded it back to Yua. I laughed "Ladies, I don't care for my birthday, let's just leave it at that for now alright?"
The four girls sighed "Understood" they all said at the same time.
The bell to the front door of the HQ rang, I didn't have any scheduled visitors today. Asuna had made her way into my crowded office "Ahh, Minister there you are"
"Huh? What's up 2IC?"
"Just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday"
I facepalm "Thank you Asuna, but if you have anything that is of actual importance let me know now"
"Yes, Floor 35th boss? You mind getting intel on that for us?"
"Sure, I'll send CCP Squad out soon, I'll have Silica inform you when she heads up to your HQ in two days"
"Thanks Minister"
"What are you still doing here CCP Actual?" I asked Sachi who looked at me dejectedly before rushing out the door.
"You four are a handful"

Day 365 (Year and 1 Day) of SAO
"Cheers!" the Command Structure of AMI5 say as we clink beers and Silica her juice "We finally moved out of that small place"
"I mean, we kept it as an outpost, now right?"
"Yeah, Boar Squadron Is keeping care of it now"
In just a year Aincrad Military Intelligence Sector 5 grew from just Myself, Yua, Sachi, Sayori and Itou to Silica in February with the creation of the Foreign Affairs Department to fifteen more in June creating the Intelligence Operations Department and the creation of CCP Squad and IJN Squad, to thirteen more in October creating the AIM5 Protection Bureau. AMI5 now had over 34 members, and I was sure, that now with the HQ moved to Floor 47 that it would only grow from there, especially with the plans I had for Floor 47. The State of 47, a Federal Government that is run by the Citizens of Floor 47, people, couples, ect that decide to live on this beautiful floor. I came up with this back in June, wherever we decided to set up permanent camp is where we would set up a Government, try to get people back into the regular swing of things as well as to set rules and regulations for society as a whole, especially with player muggings on a weird rise recently.
"Alright, now that we have secured Her Majesty's Tower-"
"Is that what were calling it? Her Majesty's Tower?" Sayori asked skeptically.
"It looks like the Tower of London so that is what we are calling it, Dictator decision" I affirm.
"Alright, alright" Sayori backs off.
"As I was saying" I say to get back on track "Now that we have secured Her Majesty's Tower, I think it's time for our biggest expansion yet"
"Oh no" Sachi muttered.
"Oh yes" I replied back "I present Operation State of 47!"
Sachi, Sayori and even Silica looked confused, Yua and Itou however understood what I was on about.
"Wanna explain Minister?" Sachi asked.
"So, I've had this idea for a while, wherever we permanently settled down we'd create a democratic Government, something that can create rules and regulations, keep the people in check while giving them freedom. Basically, try and get them back into the regular swing of things since it's been a year now"
"What about the makeshift Government Floor 1 technically has?" Sayori askes "It acts as a global Government does it not?"
"No, not really Sayori, ALF's Government only spans Floor 1 to Floor 25 and it likes to be in complete chaos 24/7" I joke.
Aincrad Liberation Front, I'm sure you know, was created after the 25th Floor ALS Massacre of 2023. It's a marge of my friend Thinker's Guild MMO Today and the dejected forces of the Aincrad Liberation Squad however not all joined this, there is a rouge faction of ALS out there somewhere lead by a player named PoH and intel tells me that they may be planning something big.
"Alright then Master Sergeant, how do you set this up?"

"Alright everyone!" an Announcer that works in Aincrad Military Intelligence Sector 5's 3rd Public Relations Division screamed out to the crowd of well-dressed people who sat at round tables like they were at a Military Ball Event "Welcome to the first and hopefully not annual AMI5 New Year's Eve Ball!"
The crowd cheered. The AIM5 High Command, I, Yua, Sayori, Itou and Sachi were sitting on a long table that was set up on stage, in the middle was the podium in which we could hold speeches. "Now, for the man of the hour, Founder and Head of the Administration Department SeanCityNavy!"
I got up and walked toward the podium, the announce moved back to my right side and nodded to me "Yeah, I'mma be honest, I hope this isn't an annual event" I start.
The crowd laughs at my joke and I smile "Thank you, I wasn't planning that, anyway, Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for coming to this Military Ball type event, I know that you may not be used to this type of activity but if your going to work for AMI5 I would suggest you get used to it, it's fun once you get the hang of it trust me"
I took a deep breath "Aincrad Military Intelligence Sector 5 started as a five man Intelligence Gathering Guild, we'd do small stuff, finding out rumors, helping small guilds find good hunting spots not already taken by Beta Testers, that sort of stuff, until one faithful day when we were asked by ALS to scout out the 25th Floor, a large clearer guild asking for the help of a Small Intel Gathering guild was huge for our popularity"
"After that we had requests come in from the KoB about floor intel and since Silica joined us in February we grew and grew till we settled down in floor 47 and started the State and then we exploded, we were able to hold two outposts, create divisions, set up or main departments and keep floor 47 safe while doing our jobs as Intelligence gathers, I'd like to thank everyone here today for doing their jobs and the people who were to busy doing their jobs to join us. Aincrad Military Intelligence Sector 5 is like a child to me and having watched it grow to the 2.5k Members it has now only makes me proud, lets have a good 2024 and let's get out of this place!"
The crowd cheers as I walk back to me seat between Sayori and Sachi.
"Thank you Minister, now I'd like to bring up the Governor of the State of 47, Alice"
The Governor of the State of 47, a young female of the age of sixteen named Alaics (Alice) took charge of the state right after it's founding, she's a great leader and an even better legislator, we've bumped heads before, over real life issues, you know, out of SAO, such as Japans Military Spending ect.
"Psst, Minister" I looked over to Sachi who was dressed in only what I could call the USAF Dress Blues.
"Yeah?"
She looked over at Sayori and Yua who were currently giving her the stink eye, she then looked at Silica in the crowd who, was just sort of staring at Sachi and then backed off "Nevermind"
A few minutes later Alice had finished her speech and the announcer was back up "Thank you Madam Governor for that wonderful speech, we wish you luck in the next election which is?" He looked over at me and I popped two fingers "Two months from now? Shit that's close, anyway, let's begin the better part of the festivities, I'd like to welcome the AMI5 Services Band containing members from the Department of Peace Operations, Department of Intelligence Operations, Department of Foreign Affairs and the AMI5 Protection Bureau to the stage, they will play the background music as we milly about with each other"
The crowd applauded as the AMI5 Services Band took the stage and began to play music, they then went around and started to talk to each other. The food wasn't set to appear till after Midnight, the cooks were working hard. Silica ran up the stage and stood right behind me as she chatted with Sachi.
A few minutes later and a Message popped up in front of me, it was from our Intelligence Outpost on the 27th Floor, I opened it up.

EMERGENCY REPORT
As of 10:34 pm AST, four Players were murdered by an unknown group of individuals. Observers reported to the 2nd Signal Brigade, Detachment Charlie of Three men in black cloaks who have now since gone missing. The Players were apparently having a party to celebrate the new year when they walked up on them and brutally murdered them with daggers that had a paralysis affect. The 2nd Signal Brigade, Detachment Charlie is requesting the activation of the 1st Military Police Battalion, Special Weapons & Tactics Detachment Zulu and 1st Military Police Battalion, 3rd Investigative Protocol Division for investigation of the area and lockdown of Floor 26
I looked over at Itou who had just finished reading what I was, Sachi as well.
All three of us got up and left Sayori and Silica with a we'll be back.
"What you want to do about this?" I question Itou and Sachi.
"I say we honor their request" Sachi replies "They want SWAT on scene to secure it and the 3rd to Investigate, we can't do much with just Charlie Detachment, they are just a Observe and Report outpost"
"I agree"
I look at Itou "The Peace Ops is your department chief" I reply "Your choice to activate or not"
"Current time?" Itou asked.
"11:35 pm AST" Sachi replied.
Itou opened his interaction menu and messaged the 3rd's & Zulu's Commanding officers, they replied almost imminently with Copy on all, currently leaving party and activating unit, well be en route in ETA ten minutes.
"Sachi, go with em" Sachi nods and teleports herself to Her Majesty's Castle "Itou, alert County Units to lockdown, we have no idea if they may be here, no one is allowed in or out of the safe zones, I'll lockdown the Capital city, everyone should be in already due to new year's"
"10-4"
Me and Itou walked back up to the stage and I pulled the announcer aside and told him a code phrase "Alpha Zulu Tango Zulu"
He nodded and walked up to the podium "Ladies and Gentlemen, I have just been informed by my Commanding Officer that Floor 47 has activated a Level 7 Priority Lockdown, it's nothing to worry about, just means you can't leave the safe zone for a while, still have fun"
Sayori looked at me and I smiled "Don't worry bout it"
