A/N: I know it has been a while, but I haven't had much time. I'll try to get the final few chapters up quite quickly.
"Where's Elle?" Adam asked as he returned home and didn't get his custom hug.
"Backyard." Kara replied.
"Yet I don't notice any thumps of a ball." Adam pointed out.
"She's up a tree." Kara explained.
"Why?"
"Enjoying the view."
"How tall is the tree she climbed?" He asked confused.
"Not tall enough for a view."
"Let me guess, Wil has been agitated all afternoon."
"That would be an understatement." Kara said looking up. "But he's down now."
"You okay?"
"Just tired."
"Want me to do anything?"
"Check on Elle."
"Sure, I'll be back in a moment." He said kissing her head before heading outside.
Having entered the backyard he looked up at the various trees and couldn't see Elle.
"Elle?" He called.
"Dad?" She responded from somewhere.
"What are you doing?" He asked, still trying to figure out where she was.
"Just sitting."
"Up a tree?"
"Why not?" She countered. This time Adam figured out where the voice was coming from and started to climb the tree. Having finally got to the branch Elle was sat on he asked.
"You couldn't have chosen a lower branch?"
"This seemed the best."
"It is a good branch." he said sliding over to sit next to Elle. "In fact it is a really good branch."
He commented looking down.
"It's just a branch." Elle countered.
"It's more than that." He said. "It could be a great platform for a tree house."
"A tree house?"
"Want to build one?" Adam asked.
"Really?"
"Yes, but you'll have to help."

"Everything okay?" Kara asked when Adam and Elle finally came back into the house.
"It's great." Elle said walking towards the front door and getting her coat.
"You going somewhere?" Kara asked.
"Yes. To buy supplies." Elle said.
"Supplies for what?"
"The tree house."
"What tree house?" Kara asked looking at Adam.
"The one dad said we could build." Elle said happily.
"It seemed like a good idea." Adam said looking at Kara. "We'll be back soon." He added following Elle out of the house.
No sooner had they left Kara got the Supergirl alarm.
Looking down at Wil she considered her options before wrapping him a blanket and flying to the DEO.
"Hold him for a minute." She said passing the child to J'onn before going out on the rescue.

"We're back." Adam called as Elle and he came back into the house.
"You get everything you needed?" Kara asked.
"We did." Adam said.
"Can we start now?" Elle asked.
"It's pretty late. And I need to cook dinner." Adam said. "But we work on it all day tomorrow."
"Fine." Elle agreed.
"Everything okay here?" He asked Kara.
"Yeah." Kara smiled before Elle asked.
"Um, where's Sprout?"
"He's- Shoot. I left him at the DEO." Kara said as the front door opened.
"Forget something?" Alex asked walking in holding Wil.
"When exactly did you forget our son at the DEO?" Adam asked confused.
"I gave him to J'onn to look after so I could help with a fire. I may have forgotten to swing by the DEO to pick him up." Kara confessed as she guiltily took Wil from Adam.
"Why are you looking so happy?" Alex asked Elle.
"Firstly we are building a tree house and secondly mom forgot Sprout. Although you did bring him back so that kind of cancels out."
-00-
"Where's Kara?" Alex asked as she entered the house the next morning.
"Still asleep." Adam said as he continued to cook Elle's breakfast.
"She okay?"
"Just tired. She's been pushing herself pretty hard and it is not like Wil is sleeping through the night." Adam said placing a plate of food in front of Elle before pouring Alex some coffee. "You okay?" He asked.
"Fine. Why?"
"Don't know, you just seem off."
"It's been a long week." Alex shrugged before noticing all of Elle's food had gone. "You going somewhere?" She asked.
"To build the tree house."
"Not until mom is awake." Adam said immediately causing disappointment to cross Elle's face.
"I can look after Wil while you two go and build." Alex offered.
"You sure?" Adam asked.
"Go." Alex smiled.
"Thank you." Elle said hugging Alex before racing outside.
-00-
"Morning." Alex greeted when Kara finally emerged.
"Hey, what are you doing here?" Kara asked sleepily.
"Looking after Wil, whilst the construction takes place outside. You okay?"
"Yeah, why?"
"You stayed in bed until after ten. That's not like you. Do I need to run some tests?"
"I'm fine. It's just feels like I never have any down time. I guess it caught up with me."
"You sure that's all it is?" Alex pressed.
"I'm sure. All I need is some rest."
"Which is what you are getting today." Alex said. "Adam and Elle are building and I'll look after Wil so you can just veg out."
"Don't you have things to do today? You've had a long week too."
"I'm fine." Alex said. "And this way I can keep an eye on you. But if I think there is something wrong I will take you to the DEO and use you as a pin cushion."
"I promise I'm okay." Kara said before seeing the news in the background showing a clip of Supergirl. "Or I thought I was, but seeing I don't remember doing that, maybe I'm not."
"That was J'onn. He's covering for you today." Alex explained. "Like I said today is about you resting."
"You're the best." Kara said hugging Alex.

"I can't believe you did this in a day." Kara said that evening as she went out to see the tree house.
"Well we make a good team." Adam said looking at Elle before asking Kara. "How are you feeling?"
"Great."
"So you won't be forgetting Sprout again?" Elle asked. "Because if you did I'd be okay with it."
"Elle." Kara gently chastised.
"Wait, did you ever forget me when I was a baby?" Elle asked.
"No." Kara said hugging her. "I never forgot you when you were a baby."
"Speaking of forgotten children, where is Wil?" Adam asked.
"Sleeping, Alex is keeping an eye on him." Kara explained. "I wanted to talk to you two about something."
"Are you sick?" Elle asked looking up at her mother.
"No, I'm not sick." Kara promised her. "I've just been talking to Eliza."
"Is she okay?" Adam asked.
"She's fine. But she was wondering if you wanted to go and stay with her for a week." Kara said looking down at Elle.
"By myself?" Elle asked.
"Yes. But it would be for a whole week so it's fine if you don't want to."
"Of course I want to." Elle said. "I'll go pack." She said running into the house.
"It's not until next week." Kara called, but the statement fell on deaf ears.
"You okay?" Adam asked wrapping an arm round Kara.
"I thought there'd be a bit of doubt there, not one hundred percent excitement. Are we that bad parents that she can't wait to leave?" Kara asked sadly.
"We're not bad parents."
"I forgot Wil." Kara reminded him.
"And I forgot Elle when she was a baby. She's just excited to see Eliza and spend time on the beech." Adam assured her.
"You sure?" Kara asked.
"I'm sure." Adam said kissing her head.
