A/N: Thanks for the comments

Jennifer Baratta - Thanks!

Guest - That kind of depends on your definition of angst. By my normal levels there will be a little, but not as much as I normally put in stories.

"You could video chat her." Alex pointed out a few days later as she sat down next to Kara on the couch.

"I have today already. Four times. I think Eliza was getting annoyed." Kara confessed.

"With you? Never." Alex countered. "Mom will understand."

"I think Elle was getting annoyed."

"Elle wouldn't be annoyed. Unless you were interrupting snack time."

"Which I did." Kara sighed. "But I miss her."

"I know." Alex said. "And she misses you."

"I hope so. She is way too young to be independent." Kara said. "So how are you getting on?"

"I'm fine."

"No you're not."

"It's not like I haven't been here before." Alex said.

"I know. But I'm guessing it is no easier this time round."

"No. Especially as I'm not drinking." Alex said.

"Something your liver thanks you for." Kara said pulling Alex in for a hug. "But whatever happens I'm here for you."

"I know." Alex said leaning against her sister. Before Kara could say anything else Wil started crying.

"Want me to get him?" Alex offered.

"No, he'll need feeding." Kara said. "But you can make the popcorn." She added before running off to get Wil.

As Alex went to the kitchen she found Adam pouring himself some juice.

"You're alive. I thought man flu was getting the better of you." Alex said.

"Cute." Adam croaked.

"I assume you don't want popcorn?"

"No, I'm good with my soup." He said as he glanced at the microwave. "How's Kara?"

"Still missing Elle. But your kind of pitiful suffering is distracting her."

"Happy to help." He said as the microwave bleeped. As he took the bowl of soup out he said. "I'm going back to bed. I'll see you later."

"You know we could have made soup for you." Alex pointed out.

"That's funny." Adam said walking off.

"I can cook soup." Alex protested.

"You really can't." Adam said disappearing.

"Where's your bag?" Kara asked the night before they were due to pick up Elle.

"What bag?" Alex asked confused.

"The bag you are taking to Midvale. The bag I am trying to put in the car."

"I'm not going to Midvale."

"Yes you are. I'm not leaving you here by yourself."

"I'll be fine. Besides, you have lived a week without Elle, you need time with her."

"You are her favourite aunt, she'll want to see you." Kara said.

"There won't be room."

"Yes there will. You know you aren't winning this argument?"

"I will think about going. But no promises."

"We leave at 6am." Kara smiled. "And if you don't come I'll set you up on a date."

"Okay, now spoon the mix into the case." Eliza instructed Elle as they made a pie.

"Like this?" Elle asked.

"That's right, then try to level it out." Eliza instructed. "That's perfect. I think it is ready for the oven." She added taking the pie over to the oven. As she shut the door she turned to Elle and said. "Now we wait."

"I don't like waiting." Elle said.

"Neither does your mom. Why don't you finish your picture?" Eliza suggested.

"Okay." Elle said climbing down from the chair. As she did so she suddenly looked up and called. "Mom!" With that she ran out of the house and towards Kara who was getting out of the car.

"I have missed you so much." Kara said lifting Elle into her arms.

"Me too." Elle said as Adam moved towards them.

"What about me?" Adam asked.

"Dad!" She greeted happily as he embraced both of them.

When he pulled away coughing Elle frowned and asked.

"Are you still ill?"

"I'm okay. I'm nearly fully recovered." He said tussling her hair as he did so Elle saw round him to where Alex was walking towards them holding Wil.

"Alex! You came too." Elle said excitedly.

"I did." Alex said passing Wil off to Adam moments before Elle finally escaped Kara's grasp and rushed towards her.

"I missed you." Elle said wrapping her arms round Alex's waist.

"I missed you too." Alex said returning the hug. "But I think your mom wants another hug."

As Elle returned to Kara, Eliza stepped forward and hugged her eldest.

"How are you?" Eliza asked.

"I'm okay." Alex said weakly smiling.

"What happened to the door?" Adam asked entering the kitchen and noticing one of the cupboard doors was hanging strangely.

"Elle." Eliza said. "She's been struggling to control her powers."

"Why didn't you say anything?" Kara asked.

"Because you would have worried. She's going through the exact same thing you went though when you first got to Earth."

"I'll fix this." Adam said. "And any other damage she has caused."

"It's okay, it just a cupboard door." Eliza assured him as Elle walked in. Seeing what they were all looking it she said.

"I'm sorry." And ran out.

"Elle!" Kara said hurrying after her.

"Your powers may be developing but you are a long way from being able to outrun me." Kara pointed out as she skidded to a stop in front of Elle.

"I'm sorry." Elle said looking upset.

"For what?"

"Everything I broke this week."

"Everything?" Kara asked.

"The cupboard, the glasses, the backdoor, the paint box."

"Why didn't you tell me your powers were playing up?"

"I didn't want you to worry and I thought you'd stop me from coming. Am I in trouble?"

"Did you mean to break anything?"

"No."

"Did you apologise to Eliza?"

"Yes."

"Then why would you be in trouble?" Kara asked lifting Elle into her arms. "I'm sorry this is so hard on you."

"Am I stupid?"

"Of course not. Why would you think that?" Kara asked.

"Grandma Alura learned how to control her powers really quickly."

"Well she is older and you are a good teacher. It took me ages to learn how to control my powers. I broke so much round here, including a guy's foot." Kara said kissing her head. "Why didn't you tell me you were struggling."

"You've been really busy and really tired."

"I am never too busy for you." Kara said hugging her tightly. "I'm sorry you thought that. From now on we'll spend more time together."

"Just us?" Elle asked.

"Just us." Kara confirmed.

"I missed you." Elle said.

"Me too."
