"Hello." Lena said entering the room the next day.
"Hey." Kara replied.
"How is everyone?" Lena asked. "Where is everyone?"
"Adam is having his ankle checked and Wil is getting a check up at the same time."
"Elle isn't having a check up as well?" Lena asked.
"No. Alex is my doctor." Elle said.
"You are just like your mother." Lena commented before saying. "I heard you might be staying here for a couple of days. So I thought you could use some toys." As she spoke she held a large bag out towards Elle.
"Can I?" Elle asked Kara.
"Only if you say thank you." Kara replied.
"Thank you Lena." Elle said hugging her.
"You are most welcome." Lena smiled. "And Krypto is at my place. I wasn't sure if you wanted him here."
"Yes." Elle said.
"Well I can get him later." Lena smiled.
"Seeing you are here, do you mind staying with Elle for a bit?" Kara asked her friend.
"Where are you going?" Elle asked looking alarmed.
"I'm going to go see J'onn."
"Can I come with you?" Elle asked.
"I need you to stay here so you can look after dad and Wil when they get back." Kara said.
"But-"
"If you want I'll see if I can find Baxter and Jenkins and send them over." Kara offered.
"And I'll be here." Lena said.
"Okay." Elle said, far from enthusiastically.
"Come here." Kara said lifting her into her arms. "I'll be back soon."
"You promise?"
"I promise." Kara said kissing her head and putting her down.

"Tell me you have found them." Kara said entering the control room.
"We found everyone who was at the forest. They are all being held securely." J'onn said turning to face her.
"And the people behind them?" Kara asked.
"We are chasing down leads."
"Leads? Haven't the guys we got talked?"
"They don't know much." J'onn said. "They were ordered to kidnap the children. But they don't know by who. They are just in it for the money."
"Have you read their minds?"
"Yes. So we are pursuing other leads." J'onn explained.
"What leads?" Kara asked.
"You should go be with your family." J'onn said.
"Not while the threat is out there."
"Kara, we have this." J'onn said. "The world can't see Supergirl loosing it with these people."
"But-"
"Kara." Alura said stepping forward. "Let us bring these people to justice. Besides, where do you think Elle would rather you be, out there or with her?"

"Mom!" Elle said happily as Kara re-entered the room, before hugging her.
"Hey Sweetie." Kara said lifting her into her arms.
"I thought you were going out with J'onn."
"I was. But he reminded me I don't need to. What I need is to be here with you."
"Seeing you are here, do you want me to get new clothes for all of you?" Lena offered.
"That would be great thank you." Kara said.
"Not for me." Elle said.
"What do you mean 'not for me'?" Kara asked.
"I'm happy with my DEO clothes."
"You wouldn't prefer your normal clothes?" Kara asked.
"No. I like these." Elle said.
"Okay then." Kara replied.
"It's not surprising, Alex's fashion sense was bound to rub off sometimes." Lena said. "I'll be back soon. I'd offer to bring food as well, but Elle has already dispatched her minions to do that."
"They're not my minions they're my Agents." Elle said proudly. "Granddad J'onn said so."
"On that note I will leave you to it. See you soon." Lena smiled as she left.

"Mom?" Alex said stirring.
"Hey Sweetie, how are you feeling?"
"I'm fine."
"It's okay to admit you're not." Eliza pointed out.
"I know." Alex said. "But I'm okay."
"Apart from the bullet wounds and the guilt?" Eliza guessed.
"Something like that."
"What happened was not your fault." Eliza said squeezing her hand.
"Doesn't feel that way." Alex admitted as the door opened.
"Hey, are you up for visitors?" Kara asked entering carrying Elle.
"Sure." Alex said.
"I made you a card." Elle said as Kara put her down near Alex's bed.
"Thanks." Alex smiled weakly.
"Sure you shouldn't be asleep?" Kara asked.
"I'm fine." Alex assured her.
"But you do need to rest." Eliza added.
"Which I am." Alex pointed out as Kara heard something in the distance.
"Problem?" Eliza asked.
"It's Wil." Kara said. "He's crying."
"He always cries." Elle pointed out before pausing.
"What?" Kara asked.
"He didn't in the cave."
"He didn't what?" Kara asked.
"Cry." Elle explained as the door opened again and Adam, nursing Wil in his arms was wheeled in by J'onn.
"Hey." He said apologetically. "I think he needs feeding."
"I've got him." Kara said taking Wil from Adam.
"You look after Wil, I'll take Elle." Adam assured Kara who kissed Elle on the head before leaving with the screaming baby.
"Should you be out of bed?" Eliza asked Adam, concerned with how pale he was looking.
"No." Elle said. "He is meant to be on bedrest and checked for concussion." The comment causing Alex to look guilty.
"Before you start feeling guilty this was all self inflicted." Adam said.
"What do you mean?" Alex asked.
"He fell over, then fell off a cliff." Elle explained.
"You fell over?" Alex asked.
"More tripped. But yes." Adam said.
"He needs more training." Elle said.
"Aren't you supposed to be on my side?" Adam asked.
"I am. That's why you need more training." Elle argued.
"While I agree with your assessment, first he needs to get back to his room. Hamilton will be in to check on you in five minutes. It is best not to disappear before that." J'onn said.
"Come on." Adam said stiffly holding out his good arm to Elle.
"Can I stay with Alex?" Elle asked.
"Alex needs to rest." Adam said.
"Pleeease? I'll read her a bedtime story."
"It's fine." Alex assured him.
"I'll keep an eye on her." Eliza said.
"Okay. But you have to behave." Adam said trying to look stern.
"I always do." Elle said.
"I wish that were true." Adam said dryly. "I'll see you later." He added as J'onn turned the chair and wheeled him out.
"So where is this bedtime story you promised?" Alex asked Elle as the door shut.
"Umm, can I borrow your phone?"
"It's been confiscated." Alex said.
"We can use mine." Eliza said pulling up her library of Elle's books.
Smiling Elle went and sat on Eliza's lap before asking.
"Can you read one?"
"I thought you were reading." Eliza said.
"Yeah, but you read better than I do. And when was the last time you read Alex a bedtime story?"
"She's got you there." Alex said.
"Okay, but you have to choose the book." Eliza said.

An hour later a weary looking Kara returned to the room holding a crying Wil.
"Told you he always cries." Elle commented not looking up form the cards she was holding.
"Yes you did." Kara said approaching Elle. "I hope I didn't wake you." She said apologetically to Alex.
"No. I'm too busy beating Elle at Go Fish." Alex said looking up from her cards. As Kara reached Elle she noticed Wil seemed to reach out for Elle.
"Can you take him for a minute?"
"Me?" Elle asked.
"Yeah." Kara said handing Wilson to Elle. Once he was in Elle's arms he stopped crying.
"Looks like you just volunteered for babysitting." Alex said.
"No." Elle said trying to hand Wil back to Kara.
"You want him to be happy don't you?" Kara asked.
"By which she means quiet." Alex added.
"I guess." Elle said looking down at Wil who was holding out a hand and tugging on Elle's hair.
"Thank you." Kara said kissing Elle's head.
"You okay?" Eliza asked.
"Just tired."
"Why don't you stay with Alex and I'll take the kids back to Adam?" Eliza suggested.
"You want to see dad?" Kara asked Elle.
"Okay." Elle agreed.
"I'll carry Wil for you." Eliza said taking the now sleeping child from Elle's arms.
"I'll see you in a bit." Kara said hugging Elle tightly before Elle walked out with Eliza.
"Have they found them yet?" Alex asked when the door shut.
"J'onn and mom are keeping me out of the investigation." Kara said. "They have everyone who attacked you. But last I heard they still haven't found those behind it."
"They will." Alex said. "No way is J'onn going to rest until he has them."
"I know." Kara said.
"But?"
"What about the next time? Are they really going to be in constant danger?"
"We will figure out to keep you all safe." Alex said as she shifted in the bed as she did so she gasped in pain.
"Alex? What's wrong?"
"Nothing. I just moved too fast." Alex said wincing. "Stop frowning, I'm okay. And I meant it when I said we'll keep you all safe."
"I know." Kara said. "But that shouldn't put you in danger."
"My job puts me in danger." Alex said. "But I'm okay with that."
"You shouldn't be. But thank you for everything you do for me."
"You don't need to thank me." Alex said as the door opened again and J'onn entered.
"Have you found the people responsible?" Alex immediately asked.
"We have detained some suspects."
"So no." Kara said.
"We have arrested the people who ordered the kidnapping." J'onn explained.
"But?" Alex asked.
"They in turn were ordered to arrange the kidnapping." J'onn sighed. "What bothers me is how they knew where you would be."
"Especially as it was a last minute trip." Alex said.
"You think they've been watching us?" Kara asked.
"Right now we aren't ruling anything out, which is why I want to send Winn to your house to check for signs of surveillance."
"Do whatever you need to." Kara said.
"I'll let you know when we find something." J'onn said. "In the mean time, get some rest. Both of you."
"We will." Alex said as J'onn left.
"You should get back to the kids." Alex said once J'onn had gone.
"I can wait until Eliza gets back."
"You don't need to babysit me." Alex assured her. "I'll be fine by myself."
"You'll be even finer with me." Kara pointed out.
"Kara, I'm going to sleep. Go be with your kids. They need you a lot more than I do."
"Okay. But I'll be back."

"Where are the kids?" Kara asked, panicking slightly when she saw Eliza standing alone in a corridor.
"They're in there playing."
"Together?" Kara asked.
"Yes." Eliza smiled standing to one side so Kara could see Elle playing with Wil who was randomly banging a toy.
"Hamilton wanted Adam to sleep so Baxter and Jenkins set up this room for them to play in."
"Let's hope Elle doesn't get to used to having them obey her." Kara said dryly.
"How are you doing?" Eliza asked wrapping an arm round Kara.
"Honestly? I'm scared."
"I know. But have faith." Eliza replied as Elle heard them talking and turned and waved.
Smiling Kara waved back and watched as Elle went back to playing with Wil.
"I know you don't want to let them out of your sight right now, but remember you need rest too." Eliza warned. "I'll leave you to it."
With Eliza gone Kara entered the room and was immediately tackled by Elle who tightly hugged her.
"Everything okay?" Kara asked lifting Elle into her arms as she walked them over to Wil.
"Yes." Elle said.

"When can I see dad?" Elle asked a while later.
"I don't know." Kara said. "When we got get dinner I'll find out."
"Is he going to be okay?"
"He'll be fine. But he needs rest." Kara assured her.
"And Alex?"
"She also needs rest."
"Will she come stay with us again until she's better."
"That's up to Alex, but I hope so." Kara said as the door opened and a black blur raced towards Elle.
"Krypto!" Elle exclaimed as Krypto started licking her. "I've missed you." She added as Kara looked round and saw Lena walking towards them carrying a couple of bags.
"Lena." Kara smiled.
"How are you holding up?" Lena asked.
"We're okay." Kara replied.
"Hmmm." Lena responded, clearly not believing her friend. "Well I have real clothes for everyone. Why don't you get changed and get some sleep while I watch Elle and Wil. Elle's minions, sorry Agents are guarding the door so we will be safe."
"And Krypto will look after us." Elle pointed out, looking up from the dog she was playing with.
"Okay." Kara said going over to Elle and hugging her. "Call if you need anything. Look after Wil."
Finally releasing Elle Kara walked back to Lena and grabbed the bags of clothes.
"We'll be fine." Lena assured her.
