A/N: Thanks for the comments

Jennifer Baratta - Thanks!

Guest - Ignoring the numerous plot holes my big issue is if Leviathan is as bad as it is being set up to be why would Kara work with Lex rather than the newly created Justice League? Especially as if she loses they are now all screwed anyway.

As Kelly climbed into the back of the Kara's car Alex immediately apologised.

"I probably should have mentioned it would have been safer to walk than be a passenger when Kara drives."

"My driving is not that bad." Kara jumped in.

"It so is." Alex said before looking at the huge bag Kelly had and asking. "You staying at Lena's tonight?"

"I wasn't sure what to bring. Kara said food or alcohol so I thought I'd bring both. But then I realised both are kinda non specific so I went for a selection of each."

"You had me at alcohol." Alex smiled.

"Apart from you can't drink." Kara pointed out as she took a corner too fast for Alex's liking.

"After this journey I'll need a drink." Alex pointed out.

"Will you stop backseat driving." Kara complained as she heavily tapped the breaks to stop rear ending a car.

"How can your reactions be so bad?" Alex asked wincing as she felt her stitches pull.

"Maybe because you were the one who taught me to drive." Kara shot back.

"So how are you finding National City?" Alex asked trying to focus on something other than the poor lane discipline on display.

"It's good. Different, but good." Kelly replied.

"If you aren't doing anything tomorrow I'm taking Elle to a park not many people know about, you are welcome to join us." Alex offered. "We can show you some other hidden gems on the way."

"Elle wouldn't mind?" Kelly asked.

"No."

"Then sure. Thanks."

"So what are the teams?" Kelly asked as Lena handed her a drink.

"It doesn't matter." Lena said. "No one beats those two." She said pointing to Alex and Kara. "Games' night is where you discover just how ruthless Kara can be."

"Hey." Kara complained. "What is it with everyone getting to me tonight?"

"Everyone?" J'onn asked.

"Alex complained about my driving the whole way over."

"You drove? No wonder Alex looks pale." Winn commented. Seeing Kara's glare he added. "That's a good thing. I mean otherwise her paleness might suggest she was relapsing." He was saved from Kara's wrath by several sirens sounding nearby.

"I'm going to go get some more..." Kara clumsily started.

"Ice." Alex finished for her.

"Right, ice, yes. I'll see you in a bit." She said.

"Do you want help?" Kelly offered.

"No, I'm fine. Thanks." Kara said hurrying out of the apartment.

"Is she okay?" Kelly asked Alex.

"She's fine. It's all part of her process to get into the gaming zone." Alex explained.

"So." Kara said as she drove Alex after dropping Kelly off later that evening.

"So what?" Alex asked.

"Tonight was fun."

"It was and proof I don't need to be locked up at your place." Alex replied.

"You are not locked up. You are there to recover. But if you did want to have more space so you could see people, well a person, I'd get that."

"What are you talking about?" Alex asked turning to face Kara. "And why do you have a goofy grin on your face?"

"I don't."

"Yeah, you do."

"I don't. I'm just happy. Can't I be happy?"

"Of course you can be happy, it's just that you don't look happy happy, more sinister happy."

"I don't do sinister." Kara protested.

"Tell that to your face."

"You are mean when you are grouchy." Kara complained before saying. "So you and Kelly seemed to get on well."

"She's easy to talk to." Alex agreed.

"And single." Kara threw in.

"And only here temporarily." Alex said suddenly realising where Kara was going.

"So if she were staying you'd be interested?" Kara pressed.

"I didn't say that."

"It was so implied." Kara grinned as she pulled onto the driveway.

"We are not having this conversation." Alex said getting out of the car quicker than her wound wanted.

"You'd prefer me set Elle on you?" Kara asked hurrying to Alex's side.

"You wouldn't." Alex said grateful to get through the front door.

"Wouldn't I?" Kara asked as they entered the lounge and saw Elle fast asleep on Adam.

"Everything okay?" Kara asked.

"It's fine." Adam assured her. "She fell to sleep during a movie and I couldn't carry her to bed so left that for you."

Effortlessly Kara picked Elle up and carried her upstairs.

"Sure she is okay?" Alex asked surprised Elle was so out of it.

"She spent the evening playing with Wil and Krypto and now they are all exhausted, so am I."

"You're getting old Foster." Alex pointed out as she sat down.

"I'm not going to argue with that. Although not as old as Krypto." He said looking at the dog who remained fast asleep.

"It's unlike him not to run up to Elle's bed." Alex said.

"I don't think he has any running left in him tonight." Adam replied before asking. "So you survived games' night?"

"And Kara's subsequent interrogation." Alex confirmed.

"Are you sure you are okay taking Elle tomorrow?" Adam asked.

"It's fine. Besides Kelly is going to join us, she can take some of the strain."

"Thanks."

"But are you going to be okay leaving the house?"

"I can push Wil for a couple of hours. Plenty of time to find Elle's perfect birthday present." He then paused before asking. "Don't suppose Elle has mentioned what that perfect present is yet has she?"

"No. She said you and Kara would know. I assume you still have no idea?"

"None. Maybe I'll set mom on her." Adam said as Kara returned.

"Why are you setting Cat on me?" Kara asked.

"I'm not. I was going to set her on Elle to figure out what she wants for her birthday." Adam explained as Kara sat next to him.

"We are such bad parents to not know already." Kara said miserably as Krypto slowly stood and walked over Adam to Kara's lap where he collapsed once more.

"You could always threaten her with a new sibling if she doesn't talk." Alex suggested.

"I'm not threatening Elle." Kara said. "You are meant to be a crack interrogator, maybe you can get her to talk. Or during your date tomorrow you can get Kelly to work her magic."

"You have a date?" Adam asked confused.

"No." Alex said glaring at Kara. "Kara is just demonstrating her inability to do math and has added one and one and got twenty."

"No I got two, as in a couple." Kara smiled.
