Guest - Thanks! To be honest I am undecided. I have a few real life issues I need to deal with before I consider starting a new story. But if I do I'm not against trying a Batwoman one.
As Kara stepped through the portal she found herself in a street in Gotham where everyone was looking at a bank of TV screens showing Batwoman plummeting into a river below.
"Even if she did survive the fall, there has been no sign of Batwoman for three minutes and all indications are she is dead." The reporter said. "This is Joe Rushbrook live at Beaver Creek Intersection."
Not giving it a second thought Kara took to the skies and flew towards Monchant River and the referenced intersection. Before she reached the masses of journalists she dove into the water and swum beneath the surface to where the images showed Batwoman had entered the water. Seeing black cape flap near the bed she hurried over and saw Batwoman pinned to the river bed. Easily removing the chains Kara grabbed Kate and flew back up the river before breaking the surface and flying to Wayne towers.

"Okay, this is weird." Luke said.
"What?" Elle asked.
"Kate is coming this way. Really fast. Like really fast."
"Is she okay?" Elle asked.
"Her heart is beating. Fast." He said looking at the screens. "But she's alive, just not talking and moving really really fast."
"You said that." Elle pointed out.
"Well, she shouldn't move that fast." Luke said still looking at his monitors. "She is heading straight for us. And still moving really fast. If that isn't Kate we are so screwed." He added as he felt a breeze just before Supergirl landed in front of him and helped a gasping Kate stand.
"Mom!" Elle cried.
Carefully releasing her friend Kara rushed to her daughter and picked her up.
"I have missed you so much." Kara said squeezing her tightly as Luke passed the shivering Batwoman a blanket.
"You were hurt." Elle said as she clung to Kara.
"I'm fine." Kara assured her. "I'm sorry I scared you. I love you so much."
"Love you too." Elle said as Kara pulled back slightly and said.
"Happy Birthday."
In response Elle just threw herself back into the hug. Looking over Elle Kara saw Kate, who stood wrapped in a blanket looking pale and disorientated.
"Thank you." Kara said.
"You are the one who just saved me." Kate pointed out.
"You saved Elle and kept her safe." Kara replied.
"About that." Kate said looking guilty.
"There was an incident." Luke added.
"What type of incident?" Kara asked looking concerned.
"One involving a blade." Kate said awkwardly.
"Are you hurt?" Kara asked putting Elle down and carefully looking her up and down.
"No. My powers are back."
"But she was cut." Luke confessed.
"But all healed now." Elle said.
"Then why are you wearing a bandage?" Kara asked seeing the bandage.
"So Mary doesn't find out I'm half alien." Elle explained as Kara noticed she had soaked Elle with her damp uniform during the hug.
"I've got you wet." Kara commented.
"You're wet too." Elle pointed out.
"There are spare clothes for Elle down there." Kate said pointing. "We'll give you some space." She said limping off with Luke. After a few steps she looked back at Kara and said. "By the way Elle has something to tell you about the heat vision thing." With that she continued walking.
"What is it?" Kara asked Elle.
"It can wait. Can I have another hug?"
"You sure you're okay?" Kara asked holding her daughter tightly.
"Now you're here." Elle said. For a moment neither said anything until Elle finally asked. "Can we go home now?"
"Not yet." Kara said. "We just need to wait for Winn and Alex to end the lockdown. But soon. In the mean time why don't we both get into dry clothes?"
"Okay." Elle agreed without releasing Kara.
"And then you can tell me about your powers."

"You look terrible." Luke said when Kate finally appeared in her office.
"You try diving into a frozen river." Kate replied as she stiffly sat down.
"I thought you were gone." Luke confessed.
"I thought I was gone." Kate replied.
"I thought I was going to be stuck with babysitting duties." Luke said.
"As long as you have your priorities straight." Kate said. "Speaking of priorities, doesn't Wayne Industries have any tech we can use to make the suit more…."
"Invincible?" Luke suggested.
"Yes." Kate agreed.
"No." Luke replied.
"What about stopping the weapon Alice used on me?"
"That I may be able to do. Hopefully the suit captured enough information for me to come up with a mitigation." Luke said as the secret entrance opened and Kara stepped through into the office holding Elle.
"How are you feeling?" Kara asked stepping towards Kate.
"I'll be fine." Kate replied shrugging off the concern. "How are things on your Earth?"
"Contained." Kara replied. "But the lockdown is still happening so we need to wait for Alex to come and get us. So we may be stuck here for awhile."
"Did you guys forget about our plans?" Mary asked entering the office. But when she saw Kara holding Elle she exclaimed. "You're real."
"Umm, yeah." Kara said confused.
"Sorry, but when Kate she she had a friend, especially one who trusted her with a kid I did doubt your existence." She said before commenting on the fact that Kara was carrying Elle. "And wow you are strong."
"You must be the sister, Mary." Kara guessed.
"Yes." Mary said unsure how Kara knew that.
"I'm Kara. I've heard a lot about you from Kate."
"You have?" Mary asked before grinning.
"Thank you for looking after Elle."
"It was no trouble." Mary replied.
"Am I interrupting something?" Kara asked remembering Mary's greeting.
"We were going to go out for pizza." Elle said.
"Although delivery may be better right now. Everyone is spooked out there and doing crazy things." Mary said.
"Why?" Kate asked frowning.
"Because Alice just killed Batwoman." Mary said before feeling guilty for saying anything in front of Elle.
"Oh that." Kate replied.
"What do you mean oh that? Don't get me wrong she had lots of flaws like lack of boundaries, too high expectations and a little creepy the way she just snuck up on me, but Gotham needed her."
"I'm sure she's fine." Kate said. "But you are right let's order in."
"Do you want to help choose?" Mary asked Elle who looked at Kara.
"I promise I'm not going anywhere." Kara assured Elle. When Elle nodded Kara put her down and watched her walk off with Mary.
"You know you have three cracked ribs?" Kara asked Kate.
"Well aware." Kate assured her.
"I don't know how I can thank you." Kara went on.
"You don't need to thank me. I mean you are the one who saved me." Kate said.
"You did so much for Elle." Kara reminded her.
"She also broke her, I mean cut. I mean technically that wasn't her fault, but it wasn't not her fault either." Luke said.
"I don't know how you do it." Kate said cutting Luke off.
"Do what?" Kara asked.
"The whole hero thing on top of having a family."
"The family thing still needs plenty of work." Kara said. "But it helps having friends I can rely on. Plus Elle and Wil are normally invincible, which is a huge help."
"Okay, the order is in. We may have overdone it a little." Mary said returning with Elle who immediately returned to Kara's side and hugged her.

"I need to get to the clinic. I assume with no Bat it is going to be a busy night." Mary said once they had demolished the pizza.
"Thank you for everything." Kara said smiling at her.
"You're welcome." Mary smiled as Elle hugged her.
"I'll see you around." Mary said to Elle before looking at Kate and asking. "See you later?"
"Sure. Be careful out there." Kate replied.
"I'm guessing the answer is no, but do you want any help until your ribs recover?" Kara asked once Mary was gone.
"No. Thank you. But I need to do this by myself." Kate said as Elle yawned and leaned against Kara.
"I get that." Kara said.
"So do you have any plans?" Kate asked Kara.
"Alex said she'd come here. I hope that's okay." Kara said.
"It's fine. But a hotel would probably be more comfortable." Kate pointed out.
"I think Elle can sleep anywhere tonight." Kara said nodding to Elle who was struggling to keep her eyes open.
"She's had a long couple of days. She's not got much sleep." Kate explained before adding. "Nightmares."
"I'm okay." Elle said sensing Kara looking down at her.
Before Kara could say anything the door opened causing everyone to tense. As Elle opened her eyes and looked round she immediately jumped up and ran to her aunt.
"Hey kiddo." Alex smiled.
"You're hurt." Elle said noticing the bruises.
"I'm fine. It's just a few scratches. You okay?"
"I'm fine." Elle said hugging her. "I missed you."
"I missed you too." Alex said. "J'onn sent you a birthday present." Alex said causing Elle to step back and look questioningly at Alex who nodded at Baxter and Jenkins who stood behind her.
"My Agents!" Elle said happily as Baxter awkwardly said.
"Ma'am."
"Did they just ma'am her?" Luke asked confused.
"I'm here too." Barry waved earning a glare from Elle who immediately returned to her mother's side.
"The good news is their alien is back on their Earth and contained. And we can go home when you are ready." Alex said.
"You ready?" Kara asked Elle, who was holding her tightly while looking at Barry with suspicion in her eyes.
Nodding, Elle reluctantly released her mother.
"Thank you." Elle said stepping towards Kate before hugging her.
"You're welcome." She said awkwardly hugging back.
"Sorry I annoyed you." Elle said to Luke.
"That's okay." He said before seeing Elle approach. "And there is really no need to hug-" He continued as Elle wrapped her arms round him. Not knowing what to do he just patted her on her head until she released him. As she returned to Kara, Luke said.
"Oh, don't forget your bag."
"I've got it." Alex said taking it from him before asking surprised by the weight. "What's in here?"
"A few birthday presents." Kate explained as Elle took Kara's hand.
"Thank you for everything." Kara said to Kate who nodded back as Alex activated the portal.
"See you soon." Barry smiled waving at Elle who responded with a glare before walking through with the others.
"Wow, she really doesn't like you." Luke commented.
"I heard he claimed he was better than Supergirl." Kate explained.
"Faster. And I am faster." Barry said.
"Not what I heard." Kate replied.
