I know it has been a long time. Let me be frank without spoiling things. That last season still has me angry which has made me bitter about writing. Lots of anticipation and no falling action. Anyway, here is something I threw together. If you are still with me. Thank you. Again.

I do not own the Walking Dead, but I do own Lily.

Lily decided to get herself some food before the others bombarded her with questions and looks, so she hastily grabbed a bag of peanuts and rushed back up to the cell she was going to share with Daryl once again.

"Can you believe that Andrea was with the Governor the whole time?" she asked him.

"Hard to believe, huh?"

They spoke of little else until a door swung open. Something was happening. Lily threw her head down to look at Daryl asking if he just got the same feeling and he nodded.

"Come on."

Together they rushed down the stairs to find Carl had just run in from his watch. What caught Lily's attention was how he ran past his father and straight for them.

"It's Andrea," he huffed. "She's here."

Rick hissed and immediately stormed toward the door. "Shit."

The sun was reaching its highest point in the sky signaling noon when they found Andrea just outside the fence. Everyone grabbed a gun, including Merle, and prepared for an attack they were sure was coming, she was just walking through the walker infested field as if she was immune and then Lily saw her walker pet. No doubt she got the idea from Michonne. It was almost as good as smearing themselves in walker guts.

They fanned out across the courtyard in case they had to fight.

"Are you alone?" Rick asked her as she neared the gate.

Andrea avoided the question. "Open the gate!"

"Are you alone?"

"Rick!"

"Answer the question!" Lily shouted to the woman.

"Yes! I'm alone!"

Rick tossed Daryl the keys and he opened the gate just long enough for Rick to drag Andrea inside and force her up against the fence.

"Hands up! Turn around! Turn around now!" he ordered her. He was treating her like a criminal, but then again she was sleeping with the enemy.

Once Rick was done frisking her, everyone filed back inside the prison very interested in learning why Andrea had come.

The second Carol saw her, she pulled her into a tight embrace.

"After you saved me, we thought you were dead," Carol said.

Andrea's green eyes took in the the cafeteria part of the cell block and landed on Hershel's stump.

"Hershel, my god. I can't believe this."

They watched her examine the room and take in all of her surroundings and find who had died. Considering she had also slept with Shane, it made sense why she asked where he was.

"Didn't make it off the farm," Lily answered. She didn't want to speak, but it was better than staring at her in silence.

"And Lori?"

Hershel answered. "She had a girl. Lori didn't survive."

"Neither did T-Dog," Carol added.

"I'm so sorry," Andrea said, trying to let us feel her pain. "Carl…"

Lily placed her hand on his shoulder protectively.

Tension in the air was thick as Andrea spoke. She was trying to fit in, but after so much time away and her having missed so much, it was proving difficult. Her sleeping with the Governor also wasn't helping her appeal to the group she used to know. "Rick, I— You live here?"

"Here and the cell block," Glenn answered when Rick didn't.

Andrea was about to learn that Rick was not the same man she remembered. He was not the one in charge anymore. That job had been distributed.

"There? Well, can I go in?"

Rick finally found his voice. "I won't allow that."

"I'm not an enemy, Rick."

"We had that field and courtyard until your boyfriend tore down the fence with a truck and shot at us."

"He said you fired first," Andrea said bewildered.

"Well, he's lyin'."

Lily stepped forward. "Andrea," she said, about to make everything she knew vocal. "Nothing the Governor says is true. Everything he has based that town on is a lie. He only does things for himself. He has no friends whose relationship doesn't benefit him in some way."

"And what is your proof of this?" she asked taking a step towards the doctor.

Lily pointed to Merle. "Him. He sent Merle to kill us. Merle is his henchman to pick off unwanted survivors. He chopped off my hair. Look, the Governor is not a good man and he needs to be killed." Next she pointed to Andrea herself. "I think that relationship is self explanatory."

"He killed an inmate who survived in here," Hershel added.

Then Daryl. "We liked him. He was one of us."

"I didn't know anything about that," Andrea said. "As soon as I found out, I came. I didn't even know you were in Woodbury until after the shootout."

"That was days ago," Glenn said.

"I told you, I came as soon as I could." Andrea turned to Michonne. "What have you told them?"

"Nothing."

"I don't get it. I left Atlanta with you people and now I'm the odd man out?"

Glenn spoke next. "He almost killed Michonne and he would have killed us—"

"With his finger on the trigger!" Andrea pointed to Merle. "Isn't he the one who kidnapped you? Who beat you?" She sighed. "Look, I cannot excuse or explain what Philip has done. But I am here trying to bring us together. We have to work this out."

"There's nothing to work out," Rick said. "We're gonna kill him. I don't know how or when, but we will."

"We can settle this. There is room at Woodbury for all of you."

Merle chuckled. "You know better than that."

"There's room here for everyone at Woodbury," Lily said. "But we're not gonna send them an invitation."

"What makes you think this man wants to negotiate? Did he say that?" Hershel asked.

"No."

Rick was back. "Then why did you come here?"

"Because he's gearing up for war. The people are terrified. They see you as killers. They're training to attack."

Daryl was not a person to show much affection, but as Lily sat on the table resting her feet on one of the seats, he stood behind, resting his hand on her shoulder comfortingly.

"I'll tell you what," Daryl grumbled, flexing his fingers against her shoulder. "Next time you see Philip, you tell him I'm gonna take his other eye."

"We've taken too much shit for too long," Glenn said in a final tone. "He wants a war? He's got one."

Andrea cast her green eyes to Lily who had saved her once before from their friends, looking for any sort of sympathy.

"He wants a war so that's what we're gonna give him," Lily said flatly.

Andrea turned to Rick. "Rick. If you don't sit down and try to work this out, I don't know what's gonna happen. He has a whole town. Look at you. You've lost so much already. You can't stand alone anymore."

"You want to make this right?" Rick asked. "Get us inside."

"No!"

"Then we got nothing to talk about."

"There are innocent people," Andrea pleaded, but those words bounced off of Rick as he stormed out of the cell block.

"What do you think about all this horse shit?" Daryl asked Lily as he paced in the now empty waiting area.

"I don't think peace can ever be struck with the Governor. Ever. No matter what happens," She said. "We either have to kill him…or move."

"And we ain't movin'."

.. .. ..

Glenn drove out a spare car into the courtyard for Andrea to take back to Woodbury.

"Can you spare it?" Andrea asked.

"Yeah," Rick said flatly.

She looked around the yard saying her last good byes before she left. They were sad to see her go, but knew it had to happen.

"Well, take care."

That was all she said before starting the car. Rick stopped her before she left to hand her a pocket knife and a gun.

"Be careful."

"You too."

With that, she was gone.

.. .. ..

The rest of the day was spent mostly in silence, just thinking of the meeting with Andrea.

It was dark when they gathered around a fire in the cell block, too afraid to have one outside anymore. Lily stood on her one good leg leaning against the wall with Daryl's arm around her waist and Hershel occupying the space next to them.

To their surprise, Beth started singing, filling the empty silence.

"Some reunion, huh?" Daryl asked when Rick joined them cradling the sleeping Judith in his arms.

"She's in a jam," Rick said defending her. He was already starting to sound normal again.

Hershel spoke next. "We all are. Andrea's persuasive. This fella's armed to the teeth. Bent on destruction."

"So what do you want to do?" Daryl asked.

"We match it," Rick said flatly. "I'm goin' on a run."

"I'll head out tomorrow."

"No, you stay here. Keep an eye on your brother. I'm glad you're back, really, but if he causes a problem, it's on you."

"Us," Lily said. "It's on us."

The hand on her waist gave a reassuring squeeze. "I got him."

"I'll take Michonne," Rick said.

"You sure that's a good idea?"

"I'll find out. And Carl. He's ready. You hold it down here."

"You got it."
