"Charlotte what is this?" Clarisse asked still holding her hand a smile came across Clarisse face. "I got engaged" Charlotte smiled at Clarisse
Congratulations Charlotte who is this lucky man?" Charlotte didn't want to tell who he was afraid that she would be mad so she just described him.
"He is the most loving, caring and handsome man you could ever meet your majesty sorry Pierre wants to meet me outside is it okay if I go?" Charlotte looked at Clarisse.
"Go and tell Pierre the good news" Charlotte went out the room closed the door before Clarisse could say another word.
Charlotte walked down to the bridge to meet Pierre but she was nearly running. Her and Pierre have had a secret relationship for a few months now on and off but when he asked her to marry her it was magical
It was a cold winters day and they had just said good night to Clarisse and Joseph. But Pierre and Charlotte decided to go for a walk and when we got to the pond that was when he asked me to become his wife and I of course said yes. But the only thing was nobody knew they were even seeing each other but they had got caught by shades and other workers but they never told Clarisse.
"Pierre" Charlotte saying walking up behind him and placing a soft kiss on his cheek. "Hello Darling" he said putting his hand around her back "I think we should go and tell your mother and step father about us". "I think we should Charlotte why don't we go tell them now they are both in mothers' bedroom" Pierre said grabbing her hand and Charlotte just nodded. How will she act to the news she knew I was seeing somebody but not Charlotte!
Pierre nervously knocked on his mother's door. Come in is all they heard. "Mother can I talk to you please". "yes of course Charlotte Could you wait outside I will be out in one minute" Clarisse asked pointing at the door. "Charlotte stay come sit down" they all walked over to the chairs Clarisse still not having a clue what was going on. "Clarisse and Joe as you know I got engaged but I never told you who it was because" Pierre then had to finish the sentence. "Because we wanted to tell you together because Charlotte and I are getting married" Pierre took Charlottes hand so that she couldn't go anywhere then looked up at his mother.
"you are what!" Clarisse exclaimed. Charlotte got up "excuse me please" and she left. "Mother what did you do that for I love Charlotte with all my heart and always have" Pierre got up to leave
"Let me, I am so sorry Pierre I just never thought you both got back together" Clarisse got up and went to find Charlotte.
Clarisse found her crying by the pond. Charlotte felt a hand on her shoulder "oh Clarisse I'm so sorry" Charlotte had taken of her ring and had it in her hand.
"Charlotte I'm sorry I shouldn't of said that I was just surprised" Charlotte went to hand the ring to her "please give this to Pierre and I will have my resignation to you in the morning your majesty"
Charlotte went to leave "Charlotte what are you doing he loves you don't go please Charlotte you are like the daughter I never had" Clarisse took Charlotte left hand and put the ring back on her finger.
"I love Pierre so much, but I don't think I can be a queen Clarisse" Charlotte said as a tear quickly went down her face.
"Charlotte oh dear Charlotte you will make an amazing queen I will be with you every step of the way Charlotte I promise you" Clarisse wiped a tear from rolling down her cheek "let's go inside Pierre will wonder where you are" Charlotte stood up and smiled and they both strolled inside.
