AN: I was inspired by some art I saw on Deviantart. It follows from a male Arisen and shortly after the games final ending.

Cheif Adaro sighed as Rook and Selene slowly approached him.

It had been two months since the Thomas the Arisen had left them and in his place, he had left this...thing in his place. A pawn that was not quite a pawn and his lover, the witch's granddaughter Selene. They were a well matched pair in his opinion.(Even though the pawn was more of a servant to Selene than anything else.)

"Might we speak for a moment Ser?" Rook asked and Adaro nodded.

"Of course. What might be your mind, pray tell?"

"Well, Ser...when Thomas rescued me from the dragon…" she blushed sharply and turned away briefly. "Well...on the way back to Cassardis...well I showed my feelings to Thomas most explicitly and physically."

Adaro said nothing. He had guessed as such when they returned. The two of them had had ridiculous grins on their faces as they walked into the town hand in hand. It was somewhat obvious that they were in love. And when they recounted their adventures with the dragon, they had blushed furiously when they mentioned the trip home.

"Well...I am now with child ser. Thomas's child," Selene finished and Adaro sighed.

"You know this for sure? Tis only been two months and there are those who wouldst think that he," he nodded towards Rook. "is the father."

"Thomas was the only man I have ever lain with, for truth ser," Selene said as another blush cross her face.

"I would not dare approach the Arisen's chosen partner ser. It would be disrespectful!" Rook protested.

"Ser, I would ask for your blessing, if not your support," Selene said and Rook nodded.

"Yes. We came here seeking your blessing," Rook added. "Not your aid-"

"Nonsense!" Adaro said with a snort before Rook could continue. "You think I would turn away family like that? Never."

"Thank you ser," Selene said with a smile and the two walked away.
