So here is the 3rd chapter, and they will now meet almost all of the Avengers. And I am sorry if they are a bit out of character right now. I have actually never written anything with all of them before. But I will try to do my best.

So enjoy :)

Before they had exit the door Cara had created an illusion of the man that went in, and when he passed the guards, they were close behind him. Thor had held his breath as they did, but no one looked at the man, and Thor was surprised that it was no alarm at the door, giving them away. It was like it was too easy, but he wouldn't complain.

Yet he didn't relaxed, his whole body being on edge, thinking that someone would spot them, somehow, he wasn't sure of how, since no one could see them, nevertheless he feared that they would be spotted and thrown in jail too, and then they couldn't save Loki. Thor refused to let that happen, not when they were so close to freedom. All they needed to do was to get to Heimdall, who had been a bit reluctant to help them, but Frigga had convinced him, which didn't surprised him.

When he thought of his mother, he felt a bit guilty for not taking Loki to her before they left, but Cara had said that Frigga would not want to see Loki like this, and his mother had agreed. But Thor was still unsure. What if Loki would never get better, would Frigga never be able to see him then? But Thor didn't have a choice here, he needed to repress his doubt, knowing it was to much of a risk not to leave immediately. So they kept walking towards the Bifrost, and their escape.

Thor glanced over the familiar buildings of New York, when they landed on, Man of Irons roof. He saw that he now was visible again and that Cara stood next to him, carefully looking over Loki, who still was unconscious.
Even if she didn't show it, Thor could tell that she was really unsure about being here, and that almost made him unsure, but he ignored that feeling and gave her a steady look.
"This way," Thor said and took the lead entering the building.

The common room was empty as they entered and Thor thought it was a bit strange, but he guessed his friends was off doing things.
"Put him down on the sofa," Cara said and Thor obeyed, placing his brother as carefully as he could on the sofa. A low moan of pain left Loki's lips, but he didn't wake up.

"Thor," a familiar voice sounded from behind him and he turned around to see Steve stand there with Tony.
"We thought we heard a loud bang on the roof, and who else could it be by you!" Tony smiled at him.
"Captain and Man of Iron," Thor smiled back at him as they grated him, before spotting Cara and the man on the couch.

"Wow, you brought guests with you, and one of them is a woman," Tony said. "Is she yours, or does anyone has a shot?"
"Don't talk about friend Cara in that way," Thor said with a low voice but Tony just smiled.
"It was a joke. I have Pepper and you know that," Tony's laugh got stuck in his throat when he met the woman's eyes, they were the coldest he had ever seen, making him think of death.

"You have to excuse Tony," Steve said but she didn't responded, instead her eyes went back to the man on the sofa, and Steve did the same, observing the man. "Your friend is hurt."
"Badly," Thor started to say when Steve walked closer to help the woman, but he soon stopped in the middle of a step.

"Thor!" Steve said and the tone of his voice made Tony walk closer as well.
"Are you crazy?" Tony said. "How can you bring him here?"
"Bring whom here?" Clint's asked, as he and Natasha left the elevator.
"Loki!" Tony said. "Can you fucking believe it, Thor brought his whacked up brother here, just because he is hurt!"
"Get him out!" Steve said.
"Better off, let's kill him," Clint uttered coldly, he had far from forgiven Loki for what he had done to him.

"If you even try gets close to him, I will kill you all," Cara said without looking at them.
"Great, who are you?" Clint said.
"This is Cara, she is a friend," Thor said, trying to take control of the situation.
"Why is she here?" Natasha tried to get a impression of the woman, but she came up empty handed.

"She is here to help Loki," Thor said.
"Not in my house!" Tony protested and walked towards Loki ones again, but stopped when Cara's cold eyes met his, once more.
"I am a woman of my words," she said and then look at the others. "And can all of you please be quite, I need to concentrate to remove the chains, so I don't kill all of us."
"All of us?" Steve said.
"It's powerful magic, who knows what may happen if I can't control it," she answered, as the magic left her hands, making them all fall into silence.

They had all stepped away even further when they felt the energy around Cara and Loki increasing, none of them could shield themselves from magic, and they weren't very keen on dying. Thor could tell that Cara struggled with the chains, a lot. He had seen her use magic the first time they meet and she had used it with ease, but her she seemed to be close to losing control more than ones, and he understood that if she would let it, it may actually kill them all.

Her green magic fought the black one coming up from the chains, and looked like she absorbed it, and he could see that she was in pain, in a lot of pain. But it didn't seem to be the pain that affected her, not now at least, not she rather seemed to struggle with the fact that the black magic appeared to be unwilling to let her command it. However, the pain effected his brother, he moaned and started to toss back and forth, Thor didn't like that, he didn't want to see Loki in such a state.

Cara increased the amount of magic she used and it seemed to calm Loki down, a little bit at least, but by doing so, he saw how she fought not to be over taken by the pain. He understood what she was doing, at that moment. She was taking the pain his brother felt into herself, to help him. Thor wished he could do something to help either of them, but he was forced to just observe.

Suddenly Thor heard a click, and the chains feel off, and in the same second Loki screamed and woke up. He sat up, panting, what seemed to be from both pain and fear. Loki's sudden reaction had the others in the room jump, unprepared to hear Loki scream, especially such a sorrowful and haunted one.
Thor looked at Cara, she was exhausted, nevertheless she soon switched all her focus to Loki, who sat next to.

"Loki," Loki didn't seem to hear her, he just stared around him, in fear, and it almost had Thor doing the same, fearing that someone besides his friends would be there, someone that was after Loki.
"Loki," Cara's voice was still calm and friendly, just a bit firmer and it seemed to make Loki pay attention to her, at least a bit. He looked at her and she smiled a small smile, before she moved away a bit. "Sorry for sitting so close to you."

Loki didn't say anything, he just nodded and curled up in his clothes and Thor smiled, it had been a good idea to those to him.
"I am also sorry for touching you without permission, and for causing you pain," this time Loki didn't move, he just sat there, but Thor could tell how frightened his brother was.
"What's wrong with him?" Clint asked in a hostile voice and those words made Loki curl up even more. Cara gave Clint a deadly glance before she switched to softer eyes as she looked on Loki.

"I know that you will not believe me, but you are safe here. And I will not force you to do anything. You decide everything," she explained, hoping that Loki would after sometime believe that. When Loki didn't say anything and she stood up, very slowly, backing away from him, to make sure that she didn't threaten him. She then slowly moved over to the others, as Loki laid down again, curled up into a ball, trying to make himself as small as he could.

"Do you have something for him to eat?" She asked politely.
"For him? No," Clint said and Cara sighed and just shook his head.
"Great idea Thor," she glared at the God who just rubbed his neck. "Guard him, while I find my way to the kitchen and makes him something to eat."

Cara found her way to the kitchen with ease; it was in one of the room in connection to the common room. However, she wasn't alone, Natasha and Tony had followed her into the room. Clint refused to leave the common room, and it sounded like he had gotten into a fight with Thor, which made Cara take a deep breath in frustration, she needed to deal with it soon, knowing that it wasn't good for Loki. Steve seemed to just be standing in the room, or she guessed since she didn't hear him.

"You aren't using any of the food in the fridge," Tony said, sulking in an almost childish way and she just smiled.
"I wouldn't try to stop me," she said and walked over before she glanced inside and thought what she should make. She was torn between soup or something else. Soup could warm him and it was easy to eat if he was in pain, but it could also remember him of warm sperm going down his throat, and she didn't want that. She decided to make something else, and she ended up with salmon, it was easy to eat and had a lot of nutrition.
She felt how the other watched her, expecting her to do something else than cooking, and they soon stated questioning her.

When she was done with the food and had avoid answering the other's questions about who she was, what happened to Loki and all the other things she had expected them to ask, she gave them two plates with food, before she walked out to the others and handled them each plate. They all looked surprised at her but she didn't pay them any attention, as she walked over to Loki.

"Hi Loki. It's me again," she announced. "Just coming with food."
Cara walked around the couch and placed herself on the table, still far away, careful not to get to close.
"I brought you food. Do you want to take it from my hands or shall I put it on the floor in front of you?" She asked and Loki seemed to think about it, as he stared on the floor and she didn't rush him. After a few minutes he reached out his hands and she handled him the plate.

"Be careful it's warm." She warned him gently as she started to eat on her own food, trying to get some energy back. She glanced at the others, sitting at another table, actually eating their food. They refused to not glare at them at them but they stayed away. Thor may have had something to do with it, since he sat in their way, giving them glaring back at them all the time. He wouldn't let any of them hurt Loki, at least not when he was like this.

"Luckily Banner isn't here," Steve said.
"Luck? I would love for him, or rather the other guy, to be here and throw Loki out of the window!" Tony said, and Cara saw that Loki flinched at those words.
"Loki," she said softly, trying to make him not listening to the others. The God looked at her. "Finishing the food is the best compliment you can give a chef."
Loki looked at her then on the food and slowly took another bite and she smiled.

"I hope you liked it. I tried to think what you liked to eat the last time we saw each other. And I remember you liking fish." She tried to talk about stuff that could make him not listen to the others or think about anything. "I also remember that you didn't like corn. A very odd thing not to like."
She smiled and Loki gave her a glance, and for a second she thought she saw a smile, but as soon as she thought she saw it, it was gone.

After they all had eaten she knew that Loki needed to sleep, but she wasn't sure of how to make him do so and feel safe, or how she would protect him from the others. But she guessed that was the easy part, more worried over how she would phrase herself so she wouldn't frighten Loki.
"Loki, I was thinking of sleeping for a while, or maybe closing my eyes are a better description, since I don't think I will get much sleep tonight," She hoped that he would understand that she understood how he felt, yet she doubted it, he was to confused for it as it was now. Yet she continued talking to him normally, as he understood it all, a bit wary but she still did it. And when she asked her next question she was careful not to use the world sleep, in case it would give him the wrong impression. "Would you like to stay awake?"

Loki seemed to considerate it, and she knew what he thought about. Was it worth it? You could get more energy to fight if you slept, yet you could also be ambushed in your sleep, and then it wasn't worth it. And if you wasn't ambushed, you still had the nightmares.
But after a while Loki shook his head, and Cara smiled, he was willing to try to sleep and that made her happy.

"Okay, thank you for letting me know. Would you feel comfortable to sleep here on the sofa? Do you want to sleep on the roof under the stars? Or maybe in a room?" She wasn't sure what he would prefer, she had always slept under the stars when she could, where she had no walls, but that had meant that she had needed to be on the lookout for people, but she had preferred that over feeling locked up in a room. Cara waited patiently on an answer and Loki then pointed at a room and she nodded.

"Then I am going to get your one. I will be right back, but I will tell you when I am getting closer," she explained, carefully standing up and walked over to the others, who sat at the table. "Can I ask for a room and get one or do I need to just take one?"
"I have one lovely, with a lock on it," Tony said sarcastically but Cara didn't found it funny at all.
"You are dangerously near death," she said and gave him a glare that showed that she wasn't joking.

"He can take mine," Thor offered and Cara thought about it but then shook his head.
"That's very kind of you Thor, but I think he needs his own. A room that he can turn into his, so he feels safe," she explained and Thor nodded understandingly.
"I think we can get him a room," Steve finally said.
"Always the hero," Tony muttered.

Cara had looked at the room, it wasn't to small to resemble a cell and the windows impossible to open, so Loki couldn't jump. She wasn't sure if he would try or not, or if it even would hurt him if he did, he had been immortal the last time they met, yet she knew that Odin could undo that if wished and she was unwilling to take any chance. She had also changed the lock to the door and made sure there was only two keys. One for her to keep and one she should give Loki.
After that she walked back to Loki.

"Hi, me again," she said and walked towards him. "Your room is read, if you still want it?"
Loki nodded and slowly stood up but he lost his balance and fell back down on the couch.
"Do you want to try again? Or do you want me to help you?" She offered despite knowing that he most likely didn't want anyone near him, in anyway. And to prove her right, he tried again, on his own, soon standing up, a bit unsteady, but he stood.

Cara had made Thor make sure the other wouldn't get near Loki, and Thor seemed to be doing fine.
"This way," Cara said and walked slowly through the tower, keeping an eye on Loki. When they arrived she let him go in first, or rather giving him the chance to change his mind. But after a while he walked through the door and she walked after.
"I hope you like it," she said. "I am slowly going to reach into my pocket and receive a key I will give you."

Loki first looked terrified and she understood that glance to well.
"It's for the door, but I will not lock it, that's up to you. But I give you the option. You can lock yourself in here to feel safe, and lock out other people. But if you don't want to lock it you can leave it unlocked."
Cara grabbed the key and placed it on the desk and Loki looked at it with horror.

"You are the only one who has one. So if you don't want anyone in here, no one can get in here," it was a lie, however, she was the only one with a key, except him, and she hopped she would never need to use it. She simply had one for emergencies. Then she flipped her hand and a little shining orb appeared in her hand. "This is also for you. If you ever want me to contact me for some reason, you just squeeze it. Then I will get here, knock on the door, and you can let me in if you want. Or I will sit outside the door and just talk to you. It's all up to you."

She then backed out of the room, leaving the door open for Loki to decide if he wanted it to be open or not. She slowly walked away from Loki's room back to the common room where the other was and she sank down in the sofa Loki just had been laying in. She was exhausted, both physically and mentally. It had been a long day, and she hadn't had a moment to relax, and she knew that she couldn't do that yet, but she needed to lay down for just a short time.

"Cara is everything alright?" Thor asked and she looked at where he was standing.
"In a lot of pain, and I have little energy. But I have been worse, so need to worry," she said with a weak smile, and Thor nodded at her.
"You took his pain, right?" Thor asked and she could see the others getting closer too, placing themselves around her.
"Only what he would have received from me removing the chains and the collar, that was the only one I could take," she said.
"Was…was it a lot?" Thor asked and she smiled at him.

"I think you will feel better by not knowing how much," Cara said and Thor looked at her, from what cryptically answer she had just getting him, he understood that it must have been a lot of pain.
"Thank you for helping me saving him."
"We aren't out of the woods yet, we can't even see the end," she said but then smiled. "But thank you for letting me know that he was alive."

Thor just nodded at her, she was still mad at him for failing Loki the first time, but for now she was willing to let it go.
She then turned to the others with a weak smile.
"I can now answer all of your questions, because I can tell that there is a lot."
