I do not own Kuroshitsuji
Dipping her spoon in the parfait, Larisa gazed over at the duo of Shinigami who digested everything she just told them about Femi and herself. True to his word Undertaker sent the shinigami her way when he finally came across them. Today they were outside her school's gates waiting for her so they could speak with her and discover what she had learned in the past.
Shaking his head, Ronald leaned back, "I can't freaking believe Shinigami have missed this," he said balancing the chair on two legs.
Nodding at that Will sat in total silence his arms crossed over his chest, "Indeed this missight is rather embarrassing…but what's done is done," he said.
Looking between the two Larisa first pointed her spoon toward Will, "First you owe me an apology," she said firmly. Getting a look from him she dipped her spoon in the treat again, "Your past self didn't believe I would tell future you about all of this! So, you owe me an apology. Then after that I would like to know…is the shinigami people knowing about who I came from going to have any ill effects on me and my future?" she asked them curious.
Frowning Will gazed at her and blew right past the apology, "That's difficult to say…what that demon attempted to do is rather worrisome. We can't have demons using you to get unspeakable power but there's no way they would choose to destroy your soul. You as a person have done nothing to warrant that, this will be something the higher ups will have to discuss," he said.
"I'm never going to get my apology, am I?" asked Larisa looking over to Ronald.
Smiling Ronald grabbed a spoon and stole some of her parfait, "Don't dwell on it, also do we even have to worry. Yuki will be watching out for Larisa and the future treasures. Not to mention Undertaker and probably Sebastian too. I mean as much as it's a pain that she powers up demons she tends to get their undying loyalty. It would be impossible for someone with a mindset like Claude to enact a plan like that. The treasure is always going to have a guard," he reasoned.
Frowning at the mention of Claude, Larisa gazed off to the side as the two shinigami argued about demons being a good source of protection. It was still strange not to have Claude around, she kept looking over her shoulder expecting him to come toward her with a new plan in place. He was gone though, which meant that her days of anticipation were over.
Things were blissfully boring.
She was back to hanging out with Sebastian, getting closer to him and letting him freely attempt to love her but she was still on the fritz about it. She still worried about it. Sam though told her to give it up all ready because Sebastian was going to be alright.
"So how are things?" asked Ronald breaking through her thoughts.
Looking over Larisa blinked, "How is what?" she asked.
"I don't know, your life? Your feelings? Learning your origin?" asked Ronald shrugging.
Frowning at that Larisa shrugged her shoulders, "I suppose it's all good, being in the past was really…stressful and then losing Claude on top of it all was kind of hard. That's life though, hardship and good moments. So, I'm just as always…waiting for the next attack," she told them.
Pushing up his glasses, Will frowned, "You have been attacked far more than Kotomi…but less than Femi. Of course, Femi started a war in the demon's realm so she spent the first couple of decades getting assassination attempts on her," he said casually.
"They tried killing her? If she could give out power outs shouldn't they have tried to, I know it's horrible to say, but keep her alive and milk her for that power?" asked Larisa confused.
Smiling Ronald gave an awkward chuckle, "When Femi first showed up, demons and Shinigami's were scared of her. There was no one like her, shinigami were worried she would throw what little balance the demon world had out the window and often tried to get rid of her. While demons feared the same thing and at first, they thought her as an angel's weapon. Femi and Zaxs were the first open couple in the demon world that showed love. Love in the demon world is a myth but back then to them it was like she cast a successful spell on Zaxs. They were all fearful of her, especially when Zaxs was able to slowly build an army that would die willingly for the duo," he said amused.
Femi was a hurricane.
Chuckling at all that Larisa smiled, "Yeah, Femi was probably able to charm the demons without her power, she was kind of amazing. Confident and beautiful, she reminded me as a less over-sexed version of Sammy. Which is weird seeing how I am my best friend's polar opposite," she told him.
"A soul can have a rainbow of personalities. It's not guarantee you'll turn out the same, then again if you experience the same circumstances as your pervious life you do find yourself similar to your past and there are instance certain traits will carry over" said Will as he stood up.
Standing up as well now that her parfait was done Larisa mulled that over, "I suppose that makes sense, from what I've heard I do have more in common with Kotomi then I do with Femi," she muttered aloud.
Nodding at that, Will turned his gaze to Larisa before turning to face her fully, "Thank you for sharing this information with us. If you learn anything else then please get ahold of us, the way you did last time will do," he said giving her a slight bow.
Smiling at that Larisa nodded, "No problem, you're the soul people so I figure you should know about Femi more than anyone else," she told him waving him off.
Nodding once more both shinigami escorted her out of the café after she paid for her dessert, turning to face them as they headed off to their jobs, "Be careful!" she called out to them. Turning Ronald smiled and waved good bye while Will ignored her, but that was alright. She didn't expect him to accept her words or anything!
Sighing Larisa turned around and headed toward home, she wondered when this became normal? She didn't mind it or anything but meeting with two shinigami at a café! It was like an event in a manga, but it was her life not a manga. Smiling she gazed up at the sky, "I hope my next life will be able to have nice meetings like this!" she said to herself aloud. Hopefully though that her would meet her own Shinigami, Larisa would prefer Ronald and Will were finally put to rest by her next life.
"I do hope when you say that your thinking of your next incarnate late, late in the future," whispered a voice in her ear.
Jumping Larisa felt shivered run down her spine as she turned to face a certain demon, grabbing her hand younger Sebastian stood in front of her with a smile, "Sebastian!" she said happily.
Using his other hand, he grabbed her chin and ran his thumb over her lips before leaning down to kiss her, "I don't want to hear any death talk from you any time soon," Sebastian told her with a smirk.
Blushing Larisa pulled away, "I'm just talking aloud…I'm not planning for my death now, although know that Undertaker has my funeral arrangements ready," she told him amused.
Looking over to her, Sebastian hummed, "Well I'm not surprised by that, what size is your coffin is casually talk with Undertaker. Your preferred funeral arrangements might be consider flirting though. Should I be worried, my bride?" he asked teasingly.
Smiling at that, Larisa shook her head, "You know the answer to that," she said.
Nodding at that Sebastian lead Larisa toward home, "So how was your day?" he asked her.
Frowning Larisa looked over, "I got yelled at in English," she told him. Raising eyebrow Sebastian waited for his bride to continue, "The teacher accused me of not paying attention when I couldn't correct the sentence she put up on the board," she told him dejectedly.
"Were you doodling when she was lecturing?" Sebastian asked her pointedly.
Seeing her red cheeks, he nodded, "I know you don't get along with their teaching styles but you have to at least attempt to pay attention, Larisa. I guess we'll start with English when you come over for your lessons today so be prepared my dear," he told her.
Sighing at that Larisa let out a whine, "I hate learning," she moaned.
Chuckling at that, Sebastian reached and poked her forehead, "That's like saying you hate living my dear, you spend all of your life learning no matter who you are. Yes, even the totally hopeless ones as well who don't have enough brain power to muster that humans expel carbon dioxide!" he said amused with her expression of annoyance.
Waving him off Larisa rolled her eyes, "Yeah, yeah I know, doesn't mean I have to like learning school stuff, I don't mind other stuff," she grumbled.
"You're going to be quite the sullen queen aren't you!" Sebastian said amused.
Frowning at that Larisa peered up at him, "What kind of queen am I going to be?" she asked him curious as if he knew. Femi had been some kind of warrior queen, while Kotomi was more of a doll wife she supposed. Larisa was kind of curious were she would fall to be perfectly honest. She didn't like the idea of fighting and barking orders like Femi. Yet, she didn't want to be some faceless queen who only offered out scraps of her power to those Sebastian favored.
Releasing her hand when they arrived home, Sebastian smiled at her, "Well, that is up to you my dear, don't worry however you don't need to rush figuring out what kind of queen you want to be. Once you take the elixir of eternal youth you'll have as long as you need," he said casually.
Pausing at that Larisa frowned, "How exactly does that work?" she asked him.
"How does what work?" asked Sebastian.
Going to ask him Larisa paused when the door opened and her mother came out carrying the trash, pausing at the sight of them Dana's eyes went back and forth before a smile touched her, "Why Sebastian! I see you and Larisa have finally made up!" she said pleased.
Beaming Sebastian looked down at Larisa, "I know she couldn't stay mad at me forever! It was just a matter of waiting till she would hear me out," he said casually.
Nodding at that Dana stepped out of the wall and put out the trash, putting several bags in various bins after all she was all about recycling, "That's good to hear! Would you care to come in for a cup of tea, Larisa's got some time before she heads over to see your father for tutoring," she said.
Shaking his head, Sebastian put a woe is me expression on, "Unfortunately I must decline, I have plans after this, I just wanted to escort Larisa home safely before I headed off. Thank you very much for the invitation however, after all having tea with two lovely ladies is always enjoyable," he said.
Rolling her eyes Larisa sighed, "Laying it on kind of thick aren't we, Sebastian," she asked.
Smirking he tapped her lips with a finger, "No need to be jealous," Sebastian said teasingly. Then with a couple more flattering phases he was off. No doubt just going around the corner to go in through the back of the house, since her mom caught him.
"He is a sweet boy. It's too bad you and Charles didn't work out but Sebastian is quite the catch!" said Dana making her way in holding the gate open for Larisa.
Stepping in after Larisa followed her mother in before heading upstairs. Taking a quick after school shower and slipping into more comfortable clothes she headed down running a brush through her hair. Once on the bottom step she found Dana placing down a plate grilled cheese on the table along with potato chips, "Mom…please stop with all the food," said Larisa sighing. Day in and out both her and Sebastian kept trying to stuff her full of food.
"You've lost so much weight sweetheart, you need to gain some of it back," said Dana patting the back of the chair with a look of pleading.
Sighing, Larisa shuffled over to the table and plopped down, "If I get fat I'm blaming you," she grumbled before thinking she would also blame Sebastian.
Picking up the golden grilled cheese Larisa took a bite and a warm gooey sensation filled her mouth, it was slightly salty from the butter but plenty cheesy. Slowly chewing on it Larisa gazed out at the table and found various magazines for security systems and other things. Looking toward her mother, Larisa frowned, "Don't we have enough security with the wall and our current system?" she asked.
Humming as she worked, Dana chopped vegetables as she spoke with Larisa, "There's no such thing as too much security," she said casually.
Frowning Larisa leaned back, "I'm pretty sure there's story that says otherwise…I don't know why you worry. It's not like anything bad happens," she said.
Looking back Dana frowned, "Nothing bad happens because of that wall and our security system, no one is ever going to take you out of your bed without my knowledge ever again. No one is hurting my baby ever again," she said firmly.
Feeling a flash of guilt Larisa sunk into her seat, she knew it wasn't her fault. After all it was more of Femi's fault she had this connection with demons. Not to mention she didn't kidnap herself…she still didn't have those memories since Sebastian took them but she knew she had been taken. Once she was older papa told her about it telling her the psychologist figured she blocked it out. Turn out she didn't, Sebastian took that horrible experience from her mind.
She wonder why those memories didn't return, all of the ones Claude stole returned. Oh well, questions for later. Gazing at her mother's back as she worked on dinner Larisa frowned, she wondered what momma would do if she discovered what Sebastian was. Would she be upset? Would her mom ban her from her seeing Sebastian? Despite certain things her mother was pretty religious nothing where she quoted the bible to battle everything she disagreed with.
She was nowhere near a crazy religious person, but if she could she would still go to church every Wednesday and Sunday. They use to go with her, save for their father who followed the Shinto faith. That all stopped after that more devote member of the church took her and attempted an exorcism on her to rid her of Sebastian.
Looking up Larisa frowned, "Mom can I ask you a question?" she asked her.
Looking back Dana smiled, "Go right ahead sweetheart!" she told her.
"My imaginary friend from back when I was younger…what was he? Did I ever tell you?" she asked her starting off small.
Pausing at that, Dana looked back and frowned, "Well that's an odd question, but I suppose you probably can't remember him. You just know it was because of your friend that woman went after you, I really wish your father would have never told you about that day," she grumbled.
Sitting in silence Larisa watched her mother quietly as she washed her hands then she turned to her and leaned against the counter, "You told me he was a demon king…but he was a good demon who protected you. I don't think it was a demon though. You probably assumed that because of all those folk tales your grandmother would tell you about demons and monsters in Japan. If anything, your friend was probably some fairy or something," she said casually.
"…what if it was a demon?" asked Larisa carefully.
Pausing at that Dana frowned, "You had no demon imaginary friend, Larisa. Demons are evil and there is no way you have something evil as you friend!" she said sternly.
Frowning Larisa watched her mom, "Some girls who dislike Sam would say otherwise. Still, what says demons are evil?" she asked.
Sighing Dana crossed her arms, "Honey, I know what your father and grandmother say demons are only tricksters but they aren't like fairies and just play with people, they're evil…alright?" she said.
Frowning at that Larisa nodded, "…Right," she muttered biting into her grilled cheese.
She wasn't paying attention to his lesson. To her Sebastian sounded like the peanut's parents because her mind was focused on her mom. What was going to happen when she found out what Sebastian was, didn't she need to tell her? It was one of those things the more you try to hide it the harder it got and in the end, you were just better off telling.
Was her mom going to cut off ties with her when all of this came to light? What would happen if they had kids would her mother completely reject them?
"Larisa," snapped Sebastian.
Jumping Larisa snapped out of her daze and looked at Sebastian finding him glaring at her, "Larisa, what have I told you about dozing off like that," he said sternly, crossing his arms.
Leaning back in her seat she nodded, "I'm sorry," she muttered.
Gazing at her trouble expression, he frowned, "What happened? You were in a good mood earlier," he said raising an eyebrow.
Sighing she frowned at him, "I was…I just started thinking about things back when I was a kid," she muttered too him. Peering up to him she leaned forward once more, "When I was a kid I got taken by some religious fanatic. I'm guessing you saved me because I don't remember it at all and in my experience memories don't disappear like that on their own. Not to mention all of Claude's taken memories are back," Larisa told him.
Nodding at that Sebastian leaned back in his seat, "I did save you, I took the memories of that experience and destroyed it. You weren't able to work through it, if you wish to be angry I'll take it but I stand by my decision. I waited close to a year but you continued to lose weight, lose sleep, and were frighten of everything. After I took your memories you recovered," he said.
Sighing at that Larisa nodded, "If momma ever finds out you're a demon, I think she might turn out like that woman. I mean she's always been a religious person, she only stopped going to church because of what happened with me and she could see how much religion of any kind scared me. What am I going to do? I don't want my mother to hate me and I don't want her to hate you," she said.
It was completely possible for all of that too.
Seeing his bride's concerned expression, Sebastian frowned, "Don't worry about all of that, Larisa. It might seem she wouldn't react very well but then again, she could surprise you and be supportive because of the face I show her. I act the way I do around your parents to help them accept me, to show them that I want what's best for you," he told her.
Looking up at him with a frown, Larisa crossed her arms, "But what if it's all for nothing, what if all she sees is you're a demon and she doesn't want a demon anywhere near her family. Then decides she doesn't want me because I refuse to leave you," she muttered.
"Your mother won't abandon you, Larisa. Everything she's ever done shows that she wants to protect you, she may forbid you to see me but she won't abandon you. So, you have nothing to worry about, now let's get back to our studies," Sebastian told her firmly.
Gazing at him Larisa nodded, she really wanted to believe him about her mom but something deep down told her if momma found out about Sebastian something bad was going to happen. Still seeing the concern on her face, Sebastian sighed, "We have a long way till we reach that Larisa and when it happens I'll be by your side. Maybe she'll be angry in the beginning but I'm sure she will eventually come to accept your choice. It just might take a little time," he told her honestly.
"But you think she would come around…eventually?" asked Larisa softly.
Nodding his head, Sebastian threaded his fingers, "Everything she's done is to protect you, she loves you…she may hate me for an eternity but highly doubt she would ever hate you," he told her.
Nodding again Larisa peeked up, "…What about…um…what about…a child…between us?" she asked him blushing a bit.
Looking at her surprised Sebastian smiled a touch of a smirk working at the edges, "Has my queen imagined a child between us?" he asked her amused.
Giving him a look Larisa sighed, "I'm a girl, what girl hasn't once or twice imagined what a child between her and the guy she's in love with would look like!" she said looking away bashfully.
Letting his amusement leave, Sebastian watched Larisa, "So…have you reconsidered a child between us?" he asked her. He of course could give her, her desire now. He loved her and she him so their child would be born from love just like she wanted.
Frowning Larisa leaned back, "You get the chance to try and love me…I don't think anything will come from it but if you do love me I don't mind having a child with you. If you don't though I don't know…I mean it's not as if you would be a bad father and you at least care about me, right?" she asked him carefully, it was always a little weird talking about Sebastian's feelings.
"I care very much for you," confirmed Sebastian gazing at Larisa intently.
Blushing Larisa looked away, "Then maybe, it wouldn't be terrible to bring a child into the world," she told him quietly. Give birth to her own little Damien Wayne…that's all she could ever really see when she imagined Sebastian's child. Ever since she watched Son of Batman she could only see giving birth to a Sebastian version of a Damian Wayne.
Reaching over Sebastian flipped through Larisa's textbook before landing on a page, "Now, that those concerns are dealt with, problems six through twelve!" he told her cheerfully.
Sighing Larisa wilted in her seat but went to work.
Working on math problems then moving on to English, she stretched her arms above her head when Sebastian finally said the magic phrase, 'Tutoring is over,'. She really did love that phrase. Laying her head on the table she smiled, "The ordeal is over!" she cheered happily.
Eyeing her Sebastian smiled, "So should I send a text from your phone to your mothing telling her you're going to Samantha's or do you want to go home?" he asked her removing the books from the table while also pulling out her cell phone.
"Sam's please," she said leaning back.
Nodding his head Sebastian sent the text before watching Larisa, "So what would you like to do today?" he asked her with amusement.
Sitting up Larisa stared at him before smiling, "Dancing!" she told him.
Frowning Sebastian raised his eyebrow, "Dancing?" he questioned her.
"Dancing!" said Larisa happily.
Smiling at that Sebastian nodded, "As you wish" he said.
Things were going good, gazing out the classroom window Sebastian watched Larisa eat lunch with Samantha and to his annoyance Charles. Two months had passed by, with Claude finally gone life was no longer hectic or frustrating. He no longer had to squash out his plans or worry about Larisa getting taken by him anymore.
Life wasn't perfect though.
There was still one more nuisance.
Charles…
He tried his best to just focus on developing his relationship with Larisa like Yuki suggested, but he couldn't just forget Charles's threat. He was able to give Larisa the attention she craved and helped her through any problems she had but so far, her problems were easily dealt with.
With high school getting closer to an end she was realizing the reality of becoming his wife and she was understandably a little frighten at the thought of being a demon's bride. After all there weren't really any nice tales for her to hear about a girl becoming a demon's wife. Not to mention she still wasn't a hundred percent sure how she would be a queen to him or the demon world.
Still all of that he could handle easily.
It was him he couldn't handle because he didn't know what that brat was up too. Narrowing his eyes Sebastian turned away from the window when Charles offered the girls juice. He wished he could banish Charles from Larisa's life but this century allowed that no more. In the past, he could have order her to no longer see Charles but with every century women gained more rights.
Not that he was against that. Demon woman had independent so it didn't really matter to him, he honestly didn't get it with humans. They made themselves fight for every right, constantly split half and half on everything. It was ridiculous how much humans tried to control each other, even demon kings just left their subject alone. Heck when Yuki took over the only thing he enforced was less attacks on the humans out of crusty to Kotomi.
Later on, that just became smart seeing how humans were getting more dangerous so it was better to just stay in the shadows away from the general public's knowledge.
Sighing he seated himself at his desk and went to work on grading worksheets, making his way through his papers. He got halfway through the stack when there was a knock at his door, turning his gaze over he caught her sweet scent and smiled, "Come in, Larisa," he said.
Stepping in Larisa frowned, "How did you know it was me?" she asked him curious.
Reaching up Sebastian tapped his nose, "You have a distinctive smell compared to other humans remember?" he told standing up. Heading over he smiled, "So you got my note?" he asked her closing the door behind her.
Nodding Larisa held up a small piece of paper that told her to come speak with him after she had lunch, he had slipped it to her in the hall. Frowning Larisa walked over to his desk and seated herself in his chair as he walked around his room gathering things, "What's up? Did I do something to get in big trouble? I couldn't have failed a big test…that doesn't happen till next week," she pondered aloud.
Shaking his head Sebastian smiled, "Nothing like that, beside you'll do just fine on your test. I've made sure of that, you've been doing very well in tutoring. You have nothing to worry about, just relax and take your time. Your also not in trouble. You don't do anything to warrant detention or disciplinary action, that would be Samantha," he said calmly coming back to the desk.
Sitting on a clear spot, he faced her as she leaned back in his chair sinking into the cushioned seat, "I called you in to speak to you about Charles," he told her.
"…Charles?" asked Larisa puzzled.
Nodding Sebastian slipped off the desk and headed back over to the window where he had the perfect view of Larisa's lunch table. Currently it was being occupied by Sam but Charles had run off now that Larisa was no longer there, "What does he talk about with you?" he questioned her.
Gazing at Sebastian back, Larisa put her elbows on the desk, "Nothing much…sometimes he tells us about his training, the places he's been, or what he's done today. Other days he listens to me and Sam, why? What's this all about? You're not jealous are you, because Shimon told me not to make you jealous because of the whole not marked," she said concerned.
Was he about to go nuts like that time she crushed on Lee Byung-hun in front of him.
Sighing he looked over and shook his head, "Don't worry Larisa, I'm fine on that front you've chosen me and you even claimed you love me. I won't flip out, the beast inside is completely satisfied with you and knows your true feelings," Sebastian told her gently.
Relaxing at that Larisa folded her arms on his desk, "Alright then, what do you want to know about Charles then? I mean he hasn't really done anything," she said confused.
Looking over Sebastian sighed, "I know your becoming his friend once more but I'm worried about him, at the start of the semester he told me he would free you from my control. He's convinced you're being manipulated by me and I highly doubt his mind has changed. I'm starting to worry because he's been so quiet, that look in his eyes told me he was preparing for something," he confessed to her.
There was no point in keeping these kinds of things secret. After all this affected her as much as it did himself and this way she could also be on the lookout. At his words worry touched Larisa she stood up and joined him at the window, "What could he do though? I mean there's no way he could defeat you in a fight and something tells me he wouldn't face you head on. So, what should I look out for?" she asked him concerned.
Crossing his arms behind his back he shook his head, "I don't know, he's not foolish enough to attack me head on. So, we have to wait and see and hope we can battle whatever he throws, perhaps I should call back Shimon and the others," he said frowning.
He had no idea what Charles had in store but he hoped he was ready.
Gazing over to Sebastian, Larisa frowned, "Are you sure he's even up to something. I mean I told him I was done with him, are you sure you're not just paranoid because we're actually experiencing peace for once? I mean I get it, the first couple of weeks I was looking over my shoulder waiting for the other shoe to drop. I think we're good though, he's done nothing and has actually been pretty nice," she told him wondering if Charles was putting on an act or being genuine.
Frowning Sebastian shook his head, "No…somethings coming I can feel it…so be careful Larisa," he told her quietly. Then he turned to her with a smile, "Remember your feelings, Larisa. That you chose to love me and why you chose me. Don't let yourself forget that," he told her.
Blushing Larisa nodded, "A-Alright," she told him surprised by his words.
Turning away Sebastian went back to gazing out the window watching the teenagers below go about their young lives, "You can go rejoin Samantha," he told her.
Nodding Larisa started to leave only to pause, "Um, me and Sam are going to do something after school, I'll try not to be late for tutoring but I don't want to make any promises. Sam sometimes tries to keep me even though I tell her I have to go," she told him.
Peering back to Larisa he nodded, "Alright, have fun then but tell Samantha to keep the wild things to a minim. As you said this is the first time in a while we've had peace…let's keep it that way," Sebastian told her quietly.
Smiling Larisa nodded, "I'll see you later, if I'm ten minutes late please come rescue me!" she cried to him as she ran out of his classroom.
"Always," said Sebastian.
For once in her life Sam was actually choosing to do something on the mellow side. Looking through the dresses, Larisa found a mixture of them on the racks. Some were inappropriate for girls their age while others were appropriate. Skimming through them all she found nothing calling to her unlike Sam who was piling them up high, "It's nice doing this again. It feels like a life time since we've done this," said Sam throwing a black dress to her growing pile.
Nodding Larisa smiled, "Yeah ever since Sebastian we haven't had much time to just do this kind of stuff…I've spent most of my time in danger. Or walked around with all or part of my memories missing," she said ending with a frown. She hated that.
Seeing her expression Sam paused in her search of clothes, "…What's that like? I mean I know what it was like when just your memories of Sebastian were gone. What about all of them though?" she asked her rather curious.
Frowning Larisa picked out a pretty dark blue and black dress, "The best way to describe it would be, hmm, you know how when your waiting for something and it's put you on edge. You start getting that gut wrenching feeling and every minute, second, and hour begin to feel like an eternity. After a while you just can't sit still but the more you move the slower time seems to get so you just start to do anything and everything to make time pass but nothing works?" she asked her.
Nodding Sam sighed "Like when your tracking a package and you finally see its at your post office and you wait for what seems like an eternity but the mail seems to want to run late on that day," she said.
Gazing up at the ceiling Larisa sighed, "Exactly walking around with no memory of who you are is like that…but all the time. You just don't know what to do with yourself and your nerves become shot. Everything is a new experience and it just overloads your mind," she told her.
"Hopefully that's all over with now," said Sam grabbing a lilac dress it had a ribbon sash with lace covering the bell-shaped skirt, "Also try this on," she told her handing it over.
Taking the dress from her, Larisa frowned, "I don't think it's over, after all this is life and I'm sure there are others out there that want the power of the treasure. I just hope my head doesn't get messed with anymore, I hope that is just a Claude thing," she told her entering a changing room.
Locking the door, she shed her clothes and pulled on the dress, pulling up the zipper she turned and looked in the mirror, "Lilac isn't my color," she said chuckling. Scratching her cheek, she headed out and showed Sam who looked her up and down, "I know…not my color, right?" she asked her.
Chuckling Sam nodded her head, "Yeah, lilac is not your color…despite your eyes being violet," she said reach over to push back Larisa's bangs to get a good look at her eyes. Smiling she leaned in with a sigh, "I've always liked your eyes, they're really pretty. Like tiny jewels!" she said happily.
Smiling Larisa gazed into Sam's eyes, "Your eyes aren't that bad either! I've always thought they were a lovely shade of green!" she told her.
Chuckling Sam nodded to the dress, "Take that off and stay in, I'll find a nice dress that matches your eyes!" she told her heading further in. Waving her hand, she looked back, "Don't worry I'll make sure it's something you don't mind wearing!" she told her disappearing into the racks.
Watching her Larisa smiled and slipped in but went ahead and put on her clothes, stepping out she began to look through the clothes herself letting her mind go back to Sebastian. He was worried about Charles but what exactly could Charles do to Sebastian. She just couldn't see anybody being physically capable of taking on a demon.
Demons were…amazing.
They were almost perfect, capable of doing anything and full of power. Humans were seriously outclassed when you threw demons into the mix. She wondered why such creatures even existed, then again, the same thing could be said about humans…
Looking down she touched her womb with a thoughtful expression, what kind of being would a child between her and Sebastian be like. He would be half demon and half human. Would that give him something that others didn't have or would he be less? Would it be like between a vampire and a human in Twilight, they're superior to humans but rather inferior compared to vampires? Or would it be like between saiyans and humans in Dragonball Z, they always said Gohan had more potential. The only reason it always came down to Goku and Vegeta was because their kids weren't obsessed with fighting like them.
"What's up?" asked Sam startling her.
Jumping Larisa peered over to her, "What?" she asked.
Pulling her hand away from her womb Sam looked around, "Do that and people will think your pregnant," she told her quietly.
Nodding at that Larisa sighed, "I was just thinking about the future…I mean, maybe someday I'll have a baby with Sebastian and if that happens I wonder what he'll be like," she told her.
Looking at her surprised Sam frowned, "It could be a girl you know," she told her.
Smiling Larisa shook her head, "I have a feeling it'll be a boy, I just hope he'll love me and be a healthy baby!" she told her laughing.
Shaking her head Sam held up a new dress before stalling when she spied the clock on the wall, "Man, we have to close shop now if we don't head back you'll be late and Sebastian will think you've been captured. Of course, seeing how you're the treasure that's your life now," she said.
Putting back a dress Larisa sighed, "Yeah, but it's alright! I mean everyone needs a little adventure in their life, I'll just be receiving a lot of adventure. Although it would probably be easier to take if I actually had some magical abilities. All I have is the ability to control who gets my power…I wish there was some way to fire ki blast like Goku," she said dejected.
"Yeah…you think the treasure would develop some kind of defense mechanism. I mean you're not overly pretty like demons to lure them in…you just smell delectable to them. That I don't get though, I mean it just make you more likely to be eaten," Sam commented.
Frowning as they made their way out of the store Larisa sighed, "The first treasure…Femi she believes this is her lifelong punishment for taking the elixir of the angels," she told her.
Crossing her arms, Sam hummed aloud, "I don't know about that, but then again what do I know. What about you, you're a treasure just like that Femi do you think she's right?" she asked.
Holding up her hand, Larisa looked at her palm were underneath were her veins that held the life liquid known as her blood. The power to empower demons was deep inside of her down to her soul but it invaded her entire body, it invaded all the treasures bodies. It had gotten many killed, but it also gave others to change the world…all the worlds if you want to technical.
When Femi did what she did and got the power to make Zaxs as powerful as he became she brought order to the demon world. She created a new age for demons.
Kotomi she did the same she brought order back to the demon world. That wasn't bad, that was good so this power didn't punish.
"No…I think maybe the angel elixir did something good to Femi and to us. I mean Femi gave Zaxs a heart and made him love and she said she gave other demons hearts. Kotomi did the same so I don't believe we're in this world to be punished for what Femi did. I think we were made to bring something to the demons. Everyone talks about demons as being heartless monsters and they've been called that for so long that the demons believe it. I think maybe that angel elixir was able to see that demons do have hearts they just need someone to pull it out. And what better than a female to do that! Then to make sure the demon learns love it makes us radiant power and then makes it, its strongest when we have love in our heart!" said Larisa happily, that's what she believes.
Mulling that over Sam smile, "When you put it that way it's like the elixir has a mind of it own," she snorted in amusement. Walking for a bit more Sam jumped when something hit her, "Hey! What if it does! I mean what if that angel somehow fused with Femi's soul and now the two are one or something!" she said excitedly.
Frowning at that Larisa hummed, "The angel fused with Femi…I suppose it wouldn't be far-fetched and it would explain why he disappeared," she muttered.
Sharing looks the two shrugged, "Oh well, not like we'll ever know for real. It's all theory," said Sam.
Nodding in agreement the girls headed for home before parting, heading toward Sebastian's in silence Larisa gazed up at the sky and wondered what she would learn with him today. She had a test coming up in biology so they would probably focus there today. Finally reaching her street Larisa picked up her pace, she should probably hurry up after all Sebastian would totally tack on time if she was late.
Ready to turn into his yard, Larisa's foot tripped her up and she went crashing down slamming into the yard. Groaning she sat up with a groan, "Well that was graceful!" she said sitting up dusting herself off before wincing when she felt a stinging sensation in her knees. Looking down she found her knees had been skinned, but only the left one looked bad.
Standing up Larisa frowned, "I hope Sebastian doesn't mind starting off the lesson with a healing session," she said heading inside.
Don't you just love a good cliffhanger! Tell me your thoughts!
