How exactly were you supposed to treat an angel?
Gazing at the angel that was keeping to himself at the moment while Larisa peered over to Femi who glared at the figure with a look of frustration. Clearing her throat, Larisa frowned as she gazed at the woman, "Um, what happened?" she asked her. Why was everything different, not to mention how was that guy even here?!
Fuming Femi paced back and forth, "Don't ask me, ever since that idiot start poisoning you he started to materialize. At first the island just grew and bloomed, before long I could hear a voice. The more you drank that spiked apple juice the stronger he became and now here he is. I had hoped he would fade away along with whatever you ingested but it seems he's here to stay. Lucky me," she griped annoyed, obviously not a fan of this angel.
"I guess the angel inside really did get stronger thanks to Charles…wait does this mean I'm still poison? Did I just doom past Sebastian as well as future?!" cried Larisa alarmed.
"You have nothing to worry about from me, young Larisa," said the angel coming up from behind.
Turning around to face him, Larisa stepped back and gazed at the man, up close he was even more beautiful and pristine than when she saw him in Femi's memories. His long silver locks were like silk and seemed to wave despite there being no wind. His green eyes with lit up with kindness and gentleness and his skin was odd, he was like the palest shade of grey with a purplish shimmer.
She wondered if all angels looked like him, Gabriel looked normal though, maybe this is what you looked like when you weren't fallen. Or maybe he looked like this because of what Femi did, she only really got a curtsy glance at the man in Femi's memories.
Frowning at the angel, Larisa took a deep breath and composed herself before she began to question his existence within her, "Why are you here? I mean didn't you disappear after Femi drank whatever was in that chalice?" she asked him politely. There was no need to be rude with him. Not only was he an angel but he didn't seem like a bad person. Femi was probably just cross with him because of their collective history.
Smiling at her the angel waved toward the gazebo, "How about we take a seat," he offered.
Nodding Larisa followed after him with a grumbling Femi following from behind, once they were inside the angel seated himself waiting for them to follow. Smiling at her, putting her at peace almost immediately the angel began to speak, "When Femi drank from my chalice, I went into her. That elixir was essentially my life force so when she drank it I became her in a sense," he explained.
"You've been here the whole time?" asked Femi annoyed.
Smiling at Femi the angel nodded, "Yes, I've always been within you, I was never really able to influence you but your later reincarnations I was. I didn't do much though, I simply whispered to them to do what was right rather than wrong. I was more or less that voice of consciousness," he told her.
"I guess that explains why they were all lily white," scoffed Femi.
Frowning at that Larisa rose and eyebrow, "If your able to influence us…does that mean you tried to push them away from demons? Is that why for so long we kept dying?" she asked warily. He obviously didn't like demons, he went to stop Zaxs so could he be responsible for all the death Femi witness?
Snapping to attention at that question, Femi glared furiously at the angel, "Are you the reason I witness so much death!" she shouted furious.
Frowning at their words the angel looked them straight in the eyes, "I know Femi will find this hard to believe, but I approve of your intertwin fate with the demons," he said throwing both girls for a loop.
Scowling Femi stomped over and pointed at the man, "You tried to sever me from my Zaxs! You fought against us for so long and even sent people to save me from him!" she cried out furious.
Nodding at that not denying her claims, the angel smiled before reaching up for Femi. Allowing his hands to hover around her head he sighed, "I did, because before I became apart of you all I saw was another poor human was getting tricked by a demon. Zaxs really was trying to love you, I learned that and came to see that within you. You have no idea how many demons claim that kind of nonsense to others just to play with them," he told her calmly.
Going quiet at that, Femi frowned and chose to not say anything more. Looking over at her then back to the angel, Larisa frowned, "What made you change your mind?" she asked him.
Smiling at that questioned, the angel chuckled, "Femi and Zaxs's love, I thought at first it was all fake on his part but the longer I watched the pair the more convinced I became. I saw what she did for him, she made him capable of feeling. So, when she died and was reincarnated I decided that, 'The Treasure', would become demonkind's humanity. However, things do not always go as you intend them to go, as Femi knows," he said with a touch of regret.
"All them were murdered till Kotomi," mused Larisa.
"Yes, some were outright murdered, others were accidental because the demon was caught off guard by the taste of the treasure, and others simply just drew the short straw," the angel mused.
Letting all that sink in, Larisa frowned, "So are you going to be here forever like Femi now?" she asked him curious. It was weird enough thinking about Femi watching her life from here, but could he now do that as well? If so, her self-consciousness was going up for a spell…at least still she forgot about him for the most part.
"Only time will tell," the angel said.
Nodding at that Larisa sat back and began to think over this new predicament, man, so much had changed thanks to Charles. Speaking of that jerk, she came here with a mission and it was time to see if there was a way to unlock her powers. If not, she supposed she could age in the past…but that was going to be a long time, not to mention she would have to send Sam back.
She wouldn't make her friend age in the past with her, Sam had a normalish life and Larisa would make sure her friend got to keep that life. If she did have to age here though, what would she do about her family. Would Sebastian glamour her to make her appear as the right age? Or should she just use this to sever ties. Or should she just tell them the truth, despite how terrified she felt.
Shaking her head, Larisa peered over to Femi, she would worry about that bridge when she crossed it for now she needed to get her answer from her ancestor. Grabbing Femi's hand Larisa looked her in the eye, "Please tell me you know how to kickstart my whole treasure destiny," she asked her. She saw everything, so she knew why she was here.
Giving her a small smile, Femi sighed, "I do, but I don't know if it should be done," she told her.
"What do you mean, of course it should be done! If it can save Sebastian why wouldn't I do it!" cried Larisa confused.
Standing up, Femi crossed her arms, "There was one incarnation of ours that almost found happiness, she was named Cassandra. She like all the others crossed paths with a demon but unlike others they developed a relationship…one that eventually evolved to sex," she told her.
"What happened? I get the feeling this isn't going to have a happy ending," said Larisa cautiously.
Sighing at that Femi began to play with her hair, "I thought everything would be alright, she was sixteen only a year away from her power unlocking and she had a demon protecting her. I thought Cassandra would live and become a queen just like me. Then they started, I wasn't watching out of respect for privacy, but I felt her death…before her death I felt the unlocking of her power. I think the loss of her virginity to him was what unlocked the power. None of the girls before were raped so that's all I have to go on, as for why she died. I think it was because of the shock, you understand how demons marry right?" asked Femi.
Nodding Larisa reached up to grab her neck, "Sebastian said when he marks me during our first time together it would become permanent. Not really sure how it becomes permanent, but apparently those are the rules of demon marriage" she muttered.
Giving her a confirming nod, Femi actually moved her hair to show Larisa the marking she received from Zaxs, "I think when he did that, her power unlocked, and it was too much for him. He was a rather low-level demon with little to no restraint, he probably lost himself when her sweet blood turned even sweeter," she theorized.
Sighing at that Larisa frowned, "So, he killed her by accident," she said, maybe Femi really did have a curse put on her. Even when their soul found a semblance of happiness they didn't find a happy ending, it really made you think. Not to mention made you wonder how Kotomi broke the curse, if there was even a curse to begin with.
Leaning back against the gazebo Larisa sunk deep into thought, well, she came back to the past and found out from Femi what might unlock her power. Go figure it was the loss of her virginity. She was starting to think the person who wrote her life hated her. She always had a sneaking suspicion of that, but whatever, she had her answers. Now she just had to go back to the world of consciousness and head home, so she could get the courage to save Sebastian.
She wondered if he would let her get drunk, because she was a little scared.
Larisa wanted to save Sebastian and she was going to do whatever it took to save him, but that didn't stop the knots in her stomach from forming. Sure, she always planned to give herself to Sebastian, but it was one thing when that was left to the future and not the immediate present. Feeling so many things whirling around inside, Larisa nearly fell out of her seat when someone spoke up.
Breaking the silence that had formed, the angel cleared his throat and walked over to Larisa, holding out a hand he smiled, "May I please have a word with you, Larisa," he asked her kindly.
Looking up at him, Larisa gave him a small nod, "Um, sure," she said shrugging.
Standing up together with Femi, the angel turned to her and kept on his smile, "I would like to speak with her on my own," he told her politely.
Glowering at the angel looking very angry he had the gall to ask that of her, Femi scowled, "She's my descendant, my soul, not to mention I know everything she knows," she snapped.
Smiling at Femi, the angel smiled and nodded, "So it does not matter whether you're with her or not because you will come to know what we spoke of," he argued. With that they left Femi who muttered a string of curses in a foreign tongue. Larisa was pretty sure it was her old ancient language though, hmm, she wondered if that was as forgotten as hieroglyphs.
Or was the tongue they spoke in, in ancient Egypt the same the spoke in present Egypt, she wished she was better at school.
Walking away with the angel they finally stopped at the point furthest away from Femi, seating himself on a bench the angel patted the other seat waiting for her. Sitting beside him Larisa looked down at the shoreline and sighed, she should be happy. She knew what to do to save Sebastian but now she just had a new string of worries, "Its not your virginity that unlocks your power," he said finally pulling her out of her worries, only to of course replace them with new ones.
Looking up afraid, tears began to fill up Larisa's eyes but before they could fall the angel cut it off, "It was the feelings Cassandra felt when she gave herself to her demon that unlocked her power," he told her promptly.
"The feelings?" questioned Larisa.
Nodding the angel reached out and touched the area above her heart, "Cassandra felt a great love in her heart for her demon just like you and Femi. When she gave herself to her demon, she was so overwhelmed with love and happiness that she instinctively wanted to give him her everything. That included the power she didn't know she had. Your love and happiness is the key to unlocking your power Larisa. If you want to save Sebastian, you must both be ready and want to give yourself. I know that you plan on giving yourself to your demon, but unless you find a way to be okay with it at this very moment…you may simply just lose your virginity without unlocking your power," he told her very calmly.
Moaning at that Larisa looked over with a glower, "You realize you just made this harder, right?! I'm called a prude by Sam for a reason you know!" she exclaimed.
"Would you have rather gone out there and possibly lost your virginity and not been able to save Sebastian. If anything, you would have gone back, been discouraged and forced to come back here and given an even grumpier response by your grandfather," said the Angel smiling.
Frowning at that, Larisa glowered, "Shut up," she moaned.
Smiling at her, the angel reached out and laid a hand on her head, "Marry him the human way, before you marry him the demon way," he told her.
Looking up at that, Larisa frowned, "What do you mean?" she asked him.
Standing up the angel smiled down at her, "Your pretty old fashion for a girl in your day and age, I believe you might feel more at ease with giving yourself to Sebastian if you do it the way you imagined for so many years. Marriage and then giving yourself to him. If you hear him pledge himself to you, I think you'll find some of those butterflies settle," he told her.
Thinking about that, Larisa could actually feel some of the butterflies in her stomach ease up, she was still nervous like no tomorrow but, it seemed a lot less scary when she thought about it this way.
Peering over she gave him a small smile, "Thanks," she muttered to him.
"Simply trying to save you an unnecessary trip my dear," the angel said happily.
Smiling at him, Larisa chuckled, "Do you have a name?" she asked.
"Angels tend to change their names throughout their lives, but, before I became apart of Femi, I went by the name Meri," he told her amused.
"Meri?" questioned Larisa, that was an interesting name.
Feeling something rather familiar, Larisa stood up just as she began to get that floating sensation, guess since she got all her answers it as time to leave. Looking back at Meri she bowed, "Thank you very much, you too Femi," she said once the dark hair woman headed over.
Sighing Femi smiled, "Good luck," she told her.
Waving goodbye, Larisa smiled, "Thanks, and try to enjoy your new roommate Femi. I know you had your differences in the past but your both different people now," she said before she finally faded away out of whatever level of conscious this place was.
Slowly opening her eyes, Larisa gazed up at the ceiling and began a check on her body. Last time she had been asleep for so long that she actually lost control of her limbs. Wiggling her finger and then her toes, Larisa found her limbs were fully under her control. Sitting up with a smile, she stretched, "Well good thing is, I don't have to relearn to use my limbs again," she said happily.
Swinging her legs over the edge she had just got onto her feet when the door opened revealing Sebastian who came in with a trolley, "You always have a trolley," Larisa commented.
Pushing it into the room and closing the door behind him, Sebastian smiled, "I see your up, that didn't take very long. I was expecting for this to be weeks, not a day," he said.
Walking over to him Larisa grabbed the lid and lifted it up to reveal warm water and a sponge, "You were not going to give me a sponge bath," she told him dryly.
"Who do you think gave you one the last time you were here?" Sebastian asked.
"Sam and then the triplets," Larisa said dipping her fingers into the water before flinging it at his face.
Brushing away the few droplets, Sebastian smiled, "Samantha planned to meet me here," he said.
Gazing at the basin of water, Larisa frowned, "I'm leaving soon," she said quietly.
Watching her Sebastian nodded not really understanding why humans felt the need to state the obvious, he knew she would be leaving after all she didn't belong in this time, "So you found your answers? Femi was able to give you the answer to save my future self," he said.
Nodding her head, Larisa flashed an awkward smile, "Yeah, I will, so your future self is saved!" she told him not really sure what to do with herself. She had no idea what to say if he asked her how she would exactly save him. To her relief though he did no such thing, instead he went about things by reaching under to produce a cup and a kettle. Pouring tea, he added in just the right amount of sugar before passing over the cup, "Thanks," she muttered.
Saying nothing at first Sebastian studied Larisa in silence, "Your so sentimental that I get the feeling I should say something to you while we have some privacy," he said quietly.
Smiling at those words Larisa inhaled the sweet aroma of the tea before peering up, "You don't have to, I know you've yet to make the change. So being a jerky demon is all you know at the moment, besides it's the thought that counts," she told him softly.
"Still…I'll try, so forgive me I don't make it flowery enough," Sebastian said.
"Forgiven ahead of time," answered Larisa.
Watching her quietly, Sebastian sighed, "I guess my goodbye to you is, I look forward to getting reacquainted with you in the future. While you seem to have the same trouble as your grandfather, you seem to be worth the trouble just like him. Tasty things seem to run in this family," he said.
Chuckling at that Larisa grinned, "Just for future references, I wouldn't refer to someone as food and expect it to come off as a compliment," she told him amused.
Before more could be said, Sam pushed the door open with a frown only for it to transform into a smile at the sight of her, "Lala!" she yelled tackling Larisa to the ground. With that they spent the next hour readying for their leave. Once they got all their stuff they headed outside with only Ciel and Sebastian seeing them off.
Standing between the two groups, Larisa smiled at Ciel and walked over to him. Throwing her arms around him in a tight hug, Larisa squeezed him tight making sure his last hug from her would be a warm and inviting one. Finally releasing him, she patted his shoulder, "Don't let them paint you too evil in the history books, gramps!" she told him happily.
"No promises," Ciel answered.
Chuckling at that, Larisa leaned down and kissed his cheek much to his embarrassment before running back to the group. Rubbing his cheek with a scowl, Ciel watched as slowly the group began to fade, "Make sure I never see you again, Larisa!" he barked.
Waving her hand, Larisa smiled, "I would really like to make that promise to you gramps, but I just don't feel I can. I'll do my best though!" she yelled out to him.
With no other words spoke the group faded to nothing, hanging onto her memory for as long as he could, it wasn't long till she finally slipped out of Ciel's mind. Frowning he reached up to his cheek where he found some kind of lingering warmth and pressure, he felt like he had been kissed. Shaking his head Ciel frowned up at Sebastian, "What are we doing out here, Sebastian," he asked annoyed.
Peering around seeming equally confused, Sebastian frowned, "I do not know, young master," he mused feeling as if he forgot something important.
Meanwhile Larisa felt a wave of relief as they appeared in the yard and she found Sebastian just as she left him standing on the porch looking a little worst for wear. Dropping her bag, Larisa ran over to him and threw herself into his arms. Stumbling back a little, Sebastian wrapped his arms around her as well, "If your greeting me like this, I assume you were successful," he answered.
Looking nervously, Larisa chuckled, "Yeah, but before we get into that will you a least drink some of my blood… I kind of have a lot to go over," she told him.
Moving into the kitchen, Larisa filled up a wine glass and watched as Sebastian drank it in front of her, although he did it unintendedly. He had his back to her as he drank it, she knew he didn't want her to see it, but she couldn't help but watch. It was like he was half dead, but he had life in him now, a small spark and been lit inside of him, he still looked worn out, but he had some color.
Relatively speaking of course, Sebastian was on the pale side.
Turning around once the blood was gone, Sebastian jumped upon seeing her, "Larisa! You shouldn't have watched that," he snapped.
Shrugging at his comment, Larisa walked over and held up her bleeding wrist, "I've seen you drink my blood before when you lick up my wounds," she told him.
Grabbing her hand Sebastian licked her wrist healing up her wound, "That's different," he muttered.
Smiling at that Larisa chuckled, "I won't watch you if it bothers you, but it doesn't bother me, vampires were always my favorite monsters before I discovered demons!" she told him happily.
Frowning at that Sebastian kept her hand in his own, "I rather you didn't see me treat you as my past-self did, I would like to separate myself from him as much as I can. Drinking your blood to empower myself doesn't exactly do that," he said.
"I see it as romantic, you need me to be stronger and only my blood will do," said Larisa.
"I've warped you horribly," answer Sebastian.
Laughing at that Larisa shook her head, "Trust me, you have absolutely nothing to do with it, I love vampires meaning I have a lot of vampire romance books. Within them is all about a vampire boy both thirsting and lusting after a girl. To me, that's love!" she told him.
Smiling at that, Sebastian sighed, "Something tells me it would be a lot easier for demons to woo girls of this century to do their bidding much easier than any other," he said.
Just smiling Larisa walked side by side with Sebastian to the couch once they were seated she looked out at the room, "Um well first I need to marry Sebastian my way," she told the room. Getting looks of surprise Larisa stood up and twiddled her fingers, "Femi told me about one of our lives, Cassandra, she almost became a queen, but her demon killed her by accident. Wh-When they started to take their relationship to the next level she unlocked her power as the treasure. The surprise of her blood changing shocked her demon and he ended up killing her," she said embarrassed.
"So, your virginity is the key…seriously whoever directs life does not like you, Lala," snorted Sam.
Blushing at that Larisa frowned, "Can we please not make the obvious immature jokes about all this, its hard enough accepting this. I'm doing my best so Sam…shut up, you too Kyo, Darryl," she snapped looking at the trio of two over sex demons and one human.
Sighing Shimon frowned, "Your virginity is the key to break the seal," he mused.
Blushing profusely, Larisa sighed, "It's a little more complicated than," she muttered.
"Its not happening," said Sebastian firmly, his voice cutting through the room. The whole room turned to face him, leaning against the arm of the couch Sebastian gazed up at Larisa, "We'll find another way to stop the angel blood from spreading. For now, the energy you can pass on and blood will have to do, I apologize ahead of time for making you bleed," he said firmly.
"My Lord," cried Shimon.
"No!" snapped Sebastian glaring, his eyes turned red and began to glow as he looked at Shimon in anger, even weaken Larisa could feel the unsaid threat behind that no.
Struggling to stand up Sebastian was helped by Shiro who began to escort him out of the room, trailing after him Larisa frowned, "Sebastian," she cried. Stopping Sebastian turned to face her dismissing Shiro, so he could speak with her alone. Waiting till Shiro left, Larisa walked over to him seeing how he was already drain even after just acquiring her blood, "Sebastian all you have to do is marry me and then…h…have me," she told him embarrassed.
Narrowing his gaze, Sebastian frowned, "I threatened you with a forced mating twice already, I'm not doing it again," he said firmly.
"Twice?" asked Larisa confused.
Sighing he leaned against the wall, "Right after we discovered you were the treasure I told you, I may have to put my marking on you with or without your love thanks to your status. Then after you returned, and Claude died I threatened you with consummating our union since you no longer needed my love," he said tiredly.
"This is different," said Larisa.
"How?" asked Sebastian.
Frowning Larisa reached out and grabbed his jacket, "This time I'm giving you my consent!" she exclaimed leaning up to kiss him.
Allowing that Sebastian gently pushed Larisa back and smiled, "You might say you're okay with it, but I can tell your not Larisa and I refuse to make your first time be something you'll regret. I'm sure I can last till your birthday," he said.
"Sure, isn't definite," snapped Larisa.
"Better than the alternative," said Sebastian.
Gripping his shirt and pulling at it, Larisa glared at him tearfully, "As long as you marry me I'm ready Sebastian, I want to save you because I love you so please let me do this!" she cried her voice rising.
Grabbing her hands Sebastian pulled her hands away and smile, "I'm happy to hear that but I still refuse to take you this way Larisa. I want your first time to be everything you've thought it to be, a perfect husband would do nothing more," he said.
Yanking her hands away and glaring at him, Larisa fumed, "A perfect husband wouldn't stubbornly refuse his wife when all she wants to do is save him. He also wouldn't make her doubt her own appeal! A perfect husband would take his wife's words into consideration and make a decision that isn't going to cost him his life! This isn't just your decision, Sebastian," she yelled storming out.
Slamming the front door behind her, Larisa left Sebastian alone in the hall, he wasn't alone for long either as soon as the door shut he was joined by Shimon and Shiro. Grabbing his arms keeping him steady Shiro frowned, "She's right you know, this isn't just your decision. Its hers as well and you know her choosing to give herself to you was hard for her. She's very shy about that stuff," he said.
Glowering at Shiro irate, Sebastian hissed, "I know that, but I refuse to make her first time a bad memory! I'm trying to do something considerate!" snapped Sebastian annoyed by his answer. The beast inside was more than ready but the reasonable side would not let it come to pass, because it was supposed to be special to her and he would let it be just that.
Sighing Shimon grabbed Sebastian's other arm and together with Shiro he helped Sebastian up the stairs, "My lord, you will die. You will die and leave her all alone, even with Yuki as her protector she will be thrown into a whirlwind of pain, lies, hate, and bloodshed. Once your out of the way she will be subjected to a fate no treasure has experienced. That will be a horrible experience for her, the two of you consummating isn't going to be what you think it will be to her. If you were listening to her you would have heard her. She wants you to marry her, her way. She's making it special for herself, so instead of yelling out no…really consider this," he said firmly.
Frowning at that Sebastian stayed quiet as he was lowered into the bed, once he was situated Shimon stood up and brushed off his clothes. Gazing down at Sebastian he frowned, "I will allow you to think about this, but I expect the correct answer when I return. In the meantime, I will prepare a wedding for the two of you, whether or not you decide to consummate with Larisa. She should at least get one of her wishes if you decided to be a moron and die an idiotic and completely avoidable death," he said leaving the room curtly.
Watching him leave Shiro chuckled, "Never thought I see the day Shimon treats you like that, I thought he die treating you like a brilliant king," he said in amusement.
Peering over to Shiro, Sebastian sighed, "I didn't want her first time to be like this, forced because of the circumstances," he muttered.
Shaking his head Shiro smiled, "Forced would mean she has no say in this, she isn't even being pressured into this because she willing. The only thing that's wrong at this moment is the timing. Nothing about this is truly bad, sudden but this isn't going to be a bad experience unless you make it bad for her. At this very moment all Larisa is, is afraid my lord but not because of the reasons you think, she's never done this so she just afraid of her feelings, being exposed for the first time ever, and not knowing what to expect. You've been around for thousands upon thousands of years and have had more partners than she's had crushes…on anime boys by the way. So, all she's thinking is you know exactly what to do, while she doesn't and knowing that you know what to do makes her worry about what she does. So, my advice to you is to simply drown her in pleasure. Teach her exactly what to do so she doesn't feel afraid and make this experience something she will treasure…a perfect husband can manage that," he said.
Making his way out, Shiro paused at the door, "A perfect husband could turn this situation into a wonderful memory for his wife," he said leaving him with those words.
I'm really getting better with cliffhangers, I use to completely suck at them! I hoped you enjoyed.
