I do not own Kuroshitsuji (which, by the way, is getting crazy!)
Lying face down on her bed, Larisa barely acknowledge Shimon and the triplets as they took her measurements. She couldn't believe what Sebastian did. He was going to die rather than just sleep with her, granted even she wasn't entirely happy with the circumstance either, but still. It was better than having nothing which is what the had a couple of weeks ago, no wait, minutes, minutes ago.
Pulling her head out of her pillow she frowned, she spent weeks in the past, but it had only been minutes if not seconds here.
Peering up when Shimon pulled her arms out, Larisa looked up, "What are you doing, Shimon?" she asked him confused.
Frowning at that Shimon pulled away from her and first scribble down something before turning to her, "I'm measuring you for a wedding dress and before you get excited, no he didn't change his mind after you left. If my king decides to be an idiot I'll at least give my queen her wish to marry him, so be a dear and sit up," he said.
Sighing Larisa did as he said and sat up allowing him to get his final measurements, once all done Shimon dismissed the triplets and turned to a new page where he began to sketch out dresses. Watching him Larisa frowned, "Your going to make it?" she asked him surprised.
Smiling at that question, Shimon looked over to Larisa, "I can will it into reality, but yes, I can always make it by hand which I will do. It'll keep my mind off things," he said sketching away.
Falling back onto her bed, Larisa watched Shimon quietly as he sketched, "So do demons just acquire skills with their endless time? Or are you all just ridiculously talented?" she asked.
Smiling at that Shimon peered up, "We put everything into learning things, magic helps, but we learn to be the best at, human, things. Otherwise what else can we do," he said sighing. Frowning he peered up to Larisa, "Humans are naturally scared of us, we have to in some ways act like a peacock and lure them in with our beauty. We choose beautiful forms, we strive to be powerful, and we work toward perfection because otherwise humans would have nothing to do with us. After all, would you really be willing to part with your soul for something other than amazing," he asked.
"Sounds hard to be a demon," muttered Larisa.
Smirking at that Shimon chuckled, "No life is easy each comes with its own set of problems, Larisa. Take us, despite having this power and skill we have a different kind of trouble compare to the humans. Every world has its own issues, the same is said for the shinigami, although to be honest they sort of cause their own trouble seeing how you become a shinigami by killing yourself," he said.
"Don't say stuff like that," snapped Larisa glaring at Shimon.
Pausing in his sketching, Shimon peered up at Larisa who glared furiously at him. Frowning he nodded, "Very well, I shall watch what I say about Shinigami in the future. I forget your friendship with them," he said.
Rolling over Larisa frowned, "Its more than that Shimon, suicide isn't a laughing matter. It's the last cry for help a person can make and more often or not it doesn't get answered. If they succeed they can never be helped and if they mess up people are more likely to hurt them even more in response. Someone who doesn't understand the heavy toll of those emotions shouldn't scoff it. You guys cut yourself off from feeling. You have no idea how hard it is to come to that conclusion. You feel so trapped, you want everything to stop. Then that thought arrives for some its so terrifying they simply wrestle with it for their whole lives. While others, they decide whatever waits for them on the other side is better than this," she muttered.
Pausing at that Shimon frowned, "It sounds as if you've had those thoughts," he said.
Sighing at that, Larisa shrugged, "I don't think there's a single teenager in the entire world who's never thought about suicide. I thought a lot about it after Claude wiped my mind fully. I had no idea who I was and felt like nothing but a burden on Sebastian because I was so scared to be alone. I knew he had things he needed to do but I didn't want to be without him. Then to top it all off I was just lost, I felt better after Ciel got his memories of me back," she said remembering those days.
Out of everything she had experienced so far, she would say that was the worst because of what was taken and because of how long it lasted. When she went to the past that had been dreary, however it had at least been manageable. Then when Sebastian had to save her from Winter, that had been pretty bad, but Undertaker and Yuki saved the day.
Usually everything was resolved rather quickly, or she could at least somewhat make out the ending that awaited her at the end of the tunnel.
She couldn't see the tunnel when Claude took her memories. True he gave a time limit when he could return her memories, she wondered now if that was yet another lie, but that didn't change things. She still felt like her memories would never return.
They had been able to overcome so many things since meeting, but now they were here. She had the solution to this problem, but Sebastian was refusing it. What would she do if he refused it? He wouldn't, right? He promised her a life as his wife so surely, he wouldn't let this just pass him by and succumb to death. What would she do if he died?
"What am I going to do, if Sebastian dies?" Larisa muttered aloud.
Tapping the nose of one of her stuffed animals, Larisa jumped when Shimon answered her, she actually forgot him. She wasn't expecting an answer. She was getting one however, "If Sebastian chooses to play the fool then you'll be left to move on with your life. It'll be hard at first, but humans can be rather resilient and move on," he answer.
Pausing at that Larisa frowned, move on, if Sebastian died she was supposed to move on.
Become the target of a new demon who had none of the history Sebastian or Claude had with her, she would only be a prize to other demons. She could go back to humans but after everything she didn't want to marry a human. She didn't even want to marry some demon…she wanted Sebastian, frowning at that Larisa hugged her stuff animal tight, she would only ever be Sebastian's.
She never really snuck out of the house without a demons help, slipping down the stairs quietly and silently Larisa let out a quiet breath of relief when she reached the kitchen. Now she just had to disarm the alarm both in the house and on the gate and she was free.
It was like one of those high suspense moments in tv shows, where the hero was so close to being discover or getting out of danger that you find yourself holding your breath with them. Getting past the front door, the hardly ever used door since they used the back door all the time. Larisa tip toed as she crossed the lawn and reached the gate. Disarming the gate next she slipped out and let out a sigh of relief when she was on the other side.
She knew what she was doing was stupid.
After all, she was teenager girl with zero to no fighting skills going out in the middle of the night where she learned there was not only perverted and evil humans out there. No, there were also sadistic blood thirsty demons who if they caught her scent were likely to gobble her up. There was also an effeminate male shinigami who might identify as female, who hated her and wanted Sebastian to himself…or herself…it was never really made clear.
Not to mention that red head shinigami wasn't her favorite subject…he had been scary and even now she could still feel his chainsaw slash through her flesh.
Suppressing a shudder, Larisa slipped through the streets in total silence catching the last train into the city where once more she took to the shadows avoiding everyone. Finally reaching Undertaker's street, Larisa hid behind a trashcan as a drunk stumble by before booking it for the coffin store. Knocking on the door she didn't have to wait long for Undertaker, it was almost as if he was expecting her to come see him.
Sighing Undertaker stepped back and let her in, "Larisa, you just love taking risk, don't you," he asked her with a lengthy sigh.
Frowning at that Larisa played with the ends of her hair as she slipped further into the store, "If I asked someone to bring me they would catch on," she told him quietly.
Sighing at that Undertaker nodded, "True you are very simple minded not to mention something of a romantic cliché, but that is your charm. Kotomi was a hopeless romantic herself, always ready to sacrifice herself for Yuki's happiness. Not that he would let her," he said.
Listening to Undertaker, Larisa frowned, "…Femi was also a hopeless romantic, she was willing to defy an angel of all things just to save her relationship with Zaxs. I still can't tell if being one is good or not," she muttered. Walking around the shop she peered at all the coffins, "Do you still remember my funeral requirements?" she asked him.
Smiling at that Undertaker looked over to her, "Aspen wood with silver bars, the inside should be lined in silver-grey silk and you want it to be soft so something like goose down feathers or maybe swan. You would like the feathers to be taken without harming the bird. Along with all that you also want to be buried in your favorite pajamas with the pillow and comforter from your bed along with your collection of stuffed animals," he said.
Giving back a smile Larisa chuckled, "You sure do remember funeral details," she said amused.
"Larisa…tell me why you're here," said Undertaker firmly.
Frowning at that Larisa turned to him with a frown, "…Undertaker, can I ask a big favor of you?" she asked him quietly.
Sighing at that Undertaker peered over to her with a frown, "You'll have to ask it out loud…because otherwise I won't believe you truly have the conviction to go through with it. So, yes, but I will only grant your favor if you say it out loud," he said firmly.
Nodding Larisa turned to him and was surprised at the swell of calmness that surrounded and filled her up, she thought she be more scared. She didn't though, it felt like this was right. Sighing out loud she let her gaze go steely, "…If Sebastian lets himself die, I need you to send me to the afterlife and retrieve my soul once more and reincarnate me when the time is right," she told him.
Reaching up, Undertaker lifted his bangs knocking off his hat, "…Just like that awful tale Romeo & Juliet, I never did enjoy it, or any of Shakespeare's other works. There's just too much sadness in the world and he sought to write such unhappy stories," he said.
Feeling tears swell up in her eyes, Larisa sighed as her teardrops fell into her lap, "I hate feeling like this, but I know Sebastian is my one and only. There is going to be no other after him and if he dies, my life isn't going to be good. Once I turn of age, I'll have demons coming at me from all over but because of Yuki they won't be able to eat me. However, they'll be able to court me and if Claude was of any indication it's going to be a bloodbath. They'll play dirty with each other and cause total chaos, not to mention my family and friends will be drawn into the cross fire. This fighting will be never-ending too because I'll refused everyone…the best thing for the world…is that this Queen dies with her King," she told him quietly.
"You truly believe that?" asked Undertaker.
Sighing Larisa nodded her tears lessening, "I do, Sebastian is the one I've chosen, once we choose that's that. There is no thought of another, it was true for Femi and it was true for Kotomi," she told him firmly.
Turning away Undertaker frowned grimly, "I'll do it, I'll give you your eternal nap and I'll keep your soul safe and search for your next vessel," he said calmly.
Standing up Larisa walked over to Undertaker and reached out to take his hands, "Undertaker, I don't know how I can ever thank you. I know its horrible to ask this of you…I'm sorry I couldn't be a better treasure for you," she told him honestly.
Smiling at that Undertaker reached out and rubbed his finger across her cheek, "You know, I've always wondered about myself. When I was a normal man, I couldn't accept life, when I was a shinigami, I couldn't except death. Then as a being who you have no sway over, you had complete sway over me. I was as much enamor with the treasure as demons are. Not in quite the same fashion but…I was enamored," he said amused.
Chuckling at that Larisa reached up and grabbed his hand before bring it together with his other hand, clasping his hands in front of her she wrapped her own around his, "I know you loved Kotomi, but I think you can find love again Undertaker…maybe with my next life don't take a back seat…kay," she told him lightly.
Smirking at that, Undertaker reached out with a finger once she released his hand and tapped her nose, "Someone had gotten a big head," he said.
Smiling at that Larisa sighed, "I just don't want you to be so alone," she told him.
Shaking his head Undertaker closed his eyes and leaned in touching foreheads with her, "I'm never alone so long as I have your soul, Larisa. Even when you were reborn and in the hands of your parents I was always keeping an eye on you from afar. Looking forward to the day you would finally become aware of yourself…I like my role and I'll keep it, but I appreciate your thoughts," he told her.
With all that needed to be said, said; Undertaker escorted Larisa home making sure none of the demons took notice of her escape.
Watching her slip into the safety of her house, Undertaker frowned, "If Sebastian is truly undecided on bedding his queen then the Shinigami will be made aware…she still has that destiny, that is not going to make things easy. Oh, what to do, what to do," he said tiredly wandering off into the night.
With her decision made, Larisa woke up the next day and decided that she wouldn't be badgering Sebastian into a choice because she was secure with her own. If he decided to die without having her then she was passing on with him. As husband and wife at that too, if Shimon had anything to say about it. The demon, who, in the beginning, she suspected hated her, had been going crazy with making wedding perpetrations. He was turning the house and the garden into a fairytale wonderland, most of his work was on the dress Larisa had yet to see.
While everyone else was busy preparing the house and making decorations.
Leaving Larisa all alone with Sebastian, since he didn't have much energy, even after getting blood from her, the two of them stayed alone in his room. Laying together on his bed, Sebastian mostly slept while Larisa held him while watching cartoons on a tv someone brought up.
Peering up as Sebastian shuddered, Larisa watched him before noticing an accumulation of sweat covering him, she had never seen him sweat before. Slipping of the bed Larisa wander around his room finding a new shirt for him, towels to wipe him down, and another blanket. Because his shudder turned out to be shivers.
Reaching out for the buttons on Sebastian's shirt she jumped when he reached out and snagged her wrist in a death grip…a weak death grip. Eyeing her he gave her a disapproving look that she rebuffed with an eyeroll, "I'm not going to try and rape you, I'm just helping you Sebastian. Your covered in sweat and I don't care what you are. That can be comfortable," she said firmly.
Eyeing her for a moment, Sebastian sighed and released her sinking back into the bed exhausted, "I'm sorry," he told her.
Shaking her, Larisa didn't say a word against him, instead she went to work. Ignoring any shyness, she stripped him of his shirt and them began to wipe away his sweat. Once he was good and clean she eased him into a new one before pulling his blankets back up along with his new one. Smiling once her work was done, she got the dirty towel and shirt and tossed them in the hamper.
Once back Larisa smiled, "Do you really believe I would rape you while you were unconscious," she asked him teasingly.
Reaching out pulling her in close, Sebastian sighed, "Maybe not willingly, but I wouldn't put it past Shimon to hypnotize you into it," he said tiredly.
Resting her head on his chest, Larisa frowned, "You should be nicer to Shimon, he's working very hard on our wedding, giving my dress very special attention," she told him softly.
Giving on a hum, Sebastian took a deep breath before peering at the tv, "What on earth are you watching?" he asked her confused. There was some purple hair girl acting like a spaz on the screen, raving over somebody named Akane, "Really what is this?" he asked looking at Larisa.
Smiling up at him, Larisa chuckled, "'Watashi ga Motete Dousunda', or by its English title, 'Kiss Him, Not Me', its an anime about a girl who has four boys and one girl chasing after her. In the manga she later on gets a fifth boy, buuut, he's crazy…like crazier than Claude, well maybe not that crazy, but then again, he did some pretty stupid and weird stuff," she mused falling into thought.
"Larisa, I have absolutely no idea what your talking about," said Sebastian.
Chuckling at that, Larisa nodded, "Not to worry I shall explain it all too you and with you being dead on your feet you have no choice but to listen to me! Get ready to be bored to death as I teach you about the lovely world of anime! Otaku-style," she cried out.
Smiling at that, Sebastian chuckled, "I'm prepared, my bride," he said relaxing as she launched into a big explanation about all the animes she loved and why. Along with all the anime boys she loved, which was a daunting amount. She seemed to have gain more since the last time he checked. How could one girl have so many anime crushes?
The next few days were mostly the same, something that surprised Sebastian because he was sure Larisa would sulk that he didn't take her offer. The girl in question though seemed alright, she never mentioned a word about his choice and didn't pester him for it. Seeming content to be with him and take care of him till he told her he would have her or till he took his last breath.
At first the others didn't follow her example and would pester him endlessly, but they too soon began to follow her lead, settling for preparing for the wedding.
Watching Larisa as she painted his fingernails, Sebastian frowned, "Larisa," he said quietly.
Peering up with a small smile, Larisa nodded, "Did you decide after all you don't want me to paint your nail…because you can wipe it off afterward, you won't hurt my feelings or anything. I just want something to do," she told him.
Shaking his head, Sebastian watched her continue on with his nails, "…You haven't pestered me about what happen and my choice," he said.
Pausing at that, Larisa frowned before peering up, "Because I know its impossible to change your mind, you'll do what you want and nothing I say will change it. Plus let's be realistic, I don't have much in the way in convincing and manipulation. I'm not smart enough or devious enough, I'm a naive but good-hearted girl, at least I like to think I am," she told him firmly.
Smiling at that, Sebastian pulled away his hand to gaze at the rainbows Larisa painted on his nails, "I blame that angel residing inside your soul…it at least explains how Femi became Kotomi, then you," he joked, eyeing the heart rainbow she painted.
Taking back his hand, Larisa frowned, "Rainbows aren't your thing," she said taking the nail polish back to his nail returning them to their onyx color once more. Gazing at his nails, Larisa lifted his hand for him to see, "Do all demons have black nails?" she asked him.
Shaking his head, Sebastian sunk back into his pillows, "Almost all, half-bloods tend to go either way some will have these nails while others have nails like yours," he told her.
"Wonder why you guys have black nails," mused Larisa attacking his nails with new nail polish this time she was going to make it a 'My Little Pony' theme.
"Again, with the cartoons," said Sebastian closing his eyes after he took notice of the bright happy colors she was painting on.
Frowning at that phrase, Larisa gazed at Sebastian nails glumly as she painted the main six plus the three princesses and Starlight Glimmer's coat colors on, "Would I still have been able to watch cartoons in the demon world, if I got to go," she asked glumly.
Furrowing his brow at that questioned, Sebastian scowled, "You're still going to get to go to the demon world, Larisa. As for your question, yes, I'll set something up for you…lord knows you'll probably go crazy without cartoons. You'll also be free to make all the art you want…you can decorate the entire castle or mansion…whichever you would prefer to live in," he said.
Feeling Larisa stop, Sebastian was about to open his eyes to see what was wrong when he felt a stinging sensation on his left cheek. Opening his eyes, Sebastian whipped his head back and found Larisa glaring at him furious, "You don't lie to me Sebastian, don't start now," she snapped.
Glaring at her, Sebastian struggled to sit up only to get pushed back down easily by Larisa who stood up with a cold look in her eyes, "Don't lie to me, we're not going to the demon world together. You grow weaker and weaker every day, Sebastian. If you stood a chance of me reaching my full power, then you would have been able to not only block that slap but not get pushed down by me. Drinking my blood everyday isn't going to keep you going," she said getting off the bed.
Making her way to the door she peered back to him, "I'm not going to pressure you to be with me, but I refuse to listen to you make false promises, whether you believe them or not! Don't mess up your nails, I'll be back when they dry I need to use the restroom and see how things are going," she told him tartly, then with no other words she left him to his thoughts.
Watching her leave, Sebastian frowned and leaned back into pillow squeezing his eyes shut, damnit, what the hell was he doing?
Standing outside the door, Larisa let out a distraught sigh feeling a swell of remorse fill her, she shouldn't have slapped him. She shouldn't have shoved him! She couldn't control herself though, hearing him talk like he had a future when he looked near death had been too painful. Covering her face with her hands attempting to keep in her tears, Larisa let out a pitiful whine.
"Well that was dramatic," said someone to her left.
Jumping feeling her heart literally skip a beat from sheer terror, Larisa whipped around and found Shimon standing to the left of her. Pulling away from the door he gazed at it before turning to her, "I understand your frustration though, so he did deserve that slap. Making false promises he can't keep," he said shaking his head.
Sighing Larisa turned away, "I shouldn't have slapped him," she said remorsefully.
"No, correction, you should have slapped him more," said Shimon walking past her.
Stepping down the hall he paused and peered back, "I was just coming to get you, my Queen. Your dress is finally done and with wedding preparations almost finished with I need your approval. If I have to change anything I would like to know. This dress is the only thing making me sane…I need it to be perfect otherwise…I might go out and murder just to relieve this tension," he said furious.
Frowning Larisa edged away, "That's not a funny joke coming from a demon, Shimon," she said warily finding herself feeling very uncomfortable.
Flashing a scowl Shimon peered over, "It wasn't a joke," he said seriously.
Grimacing at that Larisa nodded, "Um, just make sure you kill a murderer, no need to take decent people out of this world," she said frighten.
"I make no promises," said Shimon finally stopping outside a door.
Opening it up he swung open the door and gestured for her to go in. Eyeing Shimon for a second more, Larisa finally slipped through the door and made her way in. The room had fancy blue, white, and gold wallpaper with bolts of different fabrics all around the room, in the middle a sewing machine.
It was literally a seamstress's room.
Smiling a bit, Larisa looked around at all the different fabrics before finally spotting her dress on a mannequin in the middle of the room. It practically had lights shining down on it giving it the spotlight treatment, the dress was stunning though.
Walking up to it, Larisa smiled, the silhouette was an A-line. Most of the dress was solid white with a glittery substance sprinkled on making it shimmer in the light. Spotting along the skirt was black lace arranged into butterfly wings with black pearls at the center acting as the body. The dress had a scoop neckline and a bare back with see-through black lace covering it all with short cap sleeves.
Then the veil was the same black lace and attacked attached to a dark silver tiara encrusted with black pearls and onyx stones. Then to complete the look she would have lacy, see through black gloves and simple white high heels, "I used some black. Not because I question your virtue, I'm quite sure that is still intact, but you are marrying a demon so black seemed appropriate," Shimon explained.
Gazing at the dress, Larisa walked up to it and reached out to touch it, her wedding dress, like so many other little girls she dreamt of what she would wear. Like with most things the dress evolved with the years, slowly transforming as her taste changed. The dress before her looked nothing like her dream dress, if anything it was better than she imagined it be.
She was in love with the dress, yet…she wasn't happy.
Blinking when tears clouded her vision, Larisa sniffled and turned to Shimon who frowned, "If you don't like it feel free to tell me, because like I said, I need the distraction," he told her.
Shaking her head Larisa sniffled and fell into a chair that appear from out under a pile of nearby fabrics, "Its beautiful, I love it," she sobbed.
"Your reaction says otherwise," said Shimon frowning.
Letting out a pitiful laugh, Larisa nodded, "Yeah, it does, but I do love it. Its perfect…but, this is going to be it. He won't consummate with me and he's going to die. He won't survive to my seventeenth birthday…he's going to die and when he does, all I'll have is this dress. This perfect dress," she sobbed to him feeling very alone and very scared.
When Sebastian was gone, everything would be gone.
She would follow him to grave, she would be lying if she said she wasn't scared and content with her choice, but truth was…she wasn't ready to die. She wanted to marry Sebastian, have a life with him and enjoy all those milestones you saw or read about. To have children with him and raise them and watch them go off and start their own lives.
Larisa wanted to do so much, but that only happened with Sebastian.
For the safety of her family she was going with him, she would never forgive herself if one of them died because of a demon.
Gazing at Larisa for a moment, Shimon held out a hand, "Come with me, I'll show you the preparations we've made for your big day. You'll only drive yourself crazy if you sit and mope," he told her dragging her up from the chair.
Pulling her along he took her down the stairs and through the house before finally bringing her outside where she paused at what she found. The garden had been transformed. It no longer resembled the old on and had a new design and flowers, with a trail of arches leading to a gazebo.
A kaleidoscope of flowers surrounded the archway trail and gazebo, both where decorated in red and black roses and red candles were laid along the ground resting inside clear bowls. An isle of flower petals lead from the house to the gazebo.
"This is so beautiful!" said Larisa astonished.
Nodding at that Shimon frowned at the preparations, "Yes, its adequate for you and him promising yourselves to each other. Its only too bad we can't make the arrangements for the grander ceremony, the one which would have force everyone to form an alliance with Sebastian," he said signing.
Pausing at that, Larisa peered over nervously, "You wanted me to get married in front of a huge crowd…would it have been like a wedding to rival the royals in England?" she asked.
Nodding at that Shimon smirked, "Yes, only that wedding would have been less about love and more about a showcase of power. To show the demon world we're the new leaders because we have the treasure by our side…it would have been wonderful," he said his eyes glowing red as a wicked expression spread across his face.
Watching this, Larisa sighed, "I swear, the more I get the know you the more I question you…I can't tell if you'll be my greatest ally or my worst enemy," she said.
Ignoring her words, Shimon calmed himself before taking her inside, "Next is your wedding cake," he said gesturing over to a table where a single cupcake sat. It was decorated very pretty but it was a single, large, lone cupcake.
Peering over to Shimon, Larisa pointed, "Its a cupcake," she told him.
Frowning he nodded, "Well, we don't eat…so it's just for you…we have other things for Samantha and Ciel," Shimon explained.
Nodding at that Larisa frowned, "Well at least this means we won't waste food, that's always a good thing I suppose. So, who made the cake? My guess is Alphonse because he has the most experience with humans. Although Shiro could also be the one who baked, when you guys are busy he's the one always left in charge of me and my needs along with the triplets," she mused.
Agreeing with her, Shimon sighed, "Your correct, Alphonse was indeed the one who baked the cake, if we were going to the demon realm after this he would have been in charge of your meals. After all Sebastian, would have been too busy getting the world under his thumb. Let's not think about that pile of shattered dream though. Now, all that's left is for you to put this all into use, which will happen tomorrow. So, come over tomorrow with that in mind, the sooner we get this underway the better, at least your last wish will come true," he said.
Sighing at that Larisa leaned against the counter, "So if I was going to the demon world with you all, would being a queen be like it is up here. Would I have to go to events like charities, meetings about law making, or other things like that?" she asked curious.
"We're demons, our world doesn't run like the humans. Your events are the ones you and Sebastian wish to set up. Leaders are partial to parties due to the perpetual boredom that inflicts our kind. As for law making, the law is whatever Sebastian says it is. The most you'll have to do with laws, aside from you wishing to make one, is attend executions for when someone disobeys them. For the most part, if we were able to go to our realm Sebastian would have only been busy for the first decade. He would have had to get everyone to plead their allegiance to him and believe it or not, even with the power boost he would have gotten from you if he wasn't an idiot, there still would have been hold outs. After that you two would do whatever you please, maybe you'll have to hear out others once in a while but ruling in our realm isn't like ruling is in the human world," Simon said.
"Um, about the e-executions? Is there no justice system?" asked Larisa nervously.
"In our world there is only one law, the strongest sets the rules. Not like your world were the richest sets the rules. We can snap our fingers and make gems…so, power trumps money. If you disobey the laws the strong as laid in place…well, then that means you challenge their authority. We don't take that in stride," said Shimon coolly, snapping his fingers and making her a large diamond showing her an example at how easy it was for him.
Taking the diamond from him, Larisa frowned at her reflection in the large gem, "That still seems unfair," she mutter.
"Never claimed it was fair. Demons don't pretend things are fair, we don't believe in making up lies no, instead we face the truth, the unfair truth. That being the world isn't fair and there will always be someone to take advantage of things and ruin it for others," Shimon said calmly.
Sighing at that Larisa turned away, "Sometimes you are really depressing, Shimon," she said making her way back toward Sebastian's bedroom.
Next chapter...the wedding and the wedding night, what will happen! Stay tune till next time, please tell me your thoughts!
