I have a new chapter! Along with the start of tradition Larisa shall set for the treasures! I hope you find it amusing and cute, or whatever you would like to feel about her trend. Anyway, moving on from that thank you for sticking with me and I hope you'll enjoy the newest chapter of Be Care What You Wish For. Can't believe I'm at chapter sixty-six.
Now onto the thank yous:
xenocanaan: Thank you for reading, enjoying, and reviewing!
AwesomeFangirlOtaku01: I'm glad you liked how I did the wedding I was actually stuck on how to write it for a while and finally I realized why. Because Larisa wasn't happy with it, she wanted what the wedding stood for more than the wedding itself. After I figured that out it went much smoother! I'm also happy to hear you don't mind the lack of lemon, I know a few people here and there wanted one but I just didn't think I could do it properly.
Esmereilda: I'm glad I didn't disappoint you.
Mariana: I was able to evoke tears! Sorry, I don't mean to be weird, but I always admire writers who can make you feel what their character feels. I try my best to do that myself and to hear I was actually able to reach someone is amazing, thank you so much!
Sanne schouten: I know, he lives! Thank you, I'm happy to hear I'm improving! I'm always trying to improve myself, so much so I'm practically always writing in my free time. I can't even tell you how many stories I have on my computer that are slowly being written.
I do not own Kuroshitsuji
Edit: I would like to apologize I made a mistake near the end, I called the ancient kings Hell-Kings. They're just normal demon king just the oldest one, Hell King is Sebastian's new title and Yuki's old one. I got all mixed up, I forgot I had normal kings and then the Hell King. So sorry!
The light was being rather annoying this morning.
Rolling over in bed, Larisa grabbed her covers and pulled them up seeking warmth because she was freezing at the moment. Hugging her pillow tightly her mind began to slowly ebb away as sleep was coming to her once more, before it stole her conscious however a single finger touched her cheek. Pausing at the sensation Larisa's eyebrows knitted together in confusion, that was not her finger and she didn't remember inviting Sam for a sleep over.
Sitting up in a panic, Larisa gazed over worried only to stall, standing at the side of the bed was Sebastian he wore a dress shirt that he didn't bother buttoning and a pair of dress pants. Feeling her cheeks ting at the sight of his chest and stomach that embarrassment was vanished by the sensation of cold water being thrown over her. She saw a lot more than his naked torso.
Before the red retook her face, she grabbed the blankets and ducked under like a child playing hide and seek with their parent. Sitting under the covers heat radiated off Larisa's face at an astonishing feat, she saw all of Sebastian and he saw all of her. Looking down she frowned when she saw clothes on her she could feel her underwear had been put back on. Not the ones she wore for the wedding either but the kind she liked.
As for the shirt it was like a short sleeve shirt men wore under dress shirts.
Grabbing the collar, she lifted the shirt up and brought it to her nose getting overloaded with Sebastian's scent. Slowly extending her legs she found bruises on both the outside and inside of her thighs, and when she lifted the shirt, she could see bruises on her hips. Then a quick lift of the sleeve showed bruises on her upper arms.
Wincing when she touched one of the bruises on her arms, Larisa jumped when the blankets were ripped off her and she found Sebastian looking her over at once trying to spot an injury. Calming down when he found nothing serious, Sebastian sighed before reaching out for her arm, "I apologize for hurting you…my control wasn't the best last night," he apologized.
Peering up at him, Larisa's embarrassment cooled as she remember more of last night, it was true in the beginning he had been gentle. The more they progressed though the rougher he became but he masked many of those moments…with pleasure. Feeling her cheeks warm a little, Larisa's fingers slowly trailed up to one spot in particular.
She expected it to hurt when she lost her virginity but apparently having a nearly immortal demon who lived almost as long as time, as your partner had its benefits because she barely noticed that particular brief pain. There was a pain though that couldn't be covered up, tracing her fingers over the spot Sebastian bit down on Larisa found it covered by a bandage.
Pausing she peered over to Sebastian who watched her closely, waiting for her to really react no doubt, "…What happened to all the blood…I remember there was a lot of it," she said.
Reaching over to touch the spot gently, Sebastian gazed at the spot with a look of reassurance, "I timed your mark to when you would be your most exhausted, so you wouldn't notice it too much. When you fell asleep, I cleaned you up and bandaged your wound, its deep enough to scar you permanently and I've input some of my power. That is my wedding ring in a sense," he said.
Frowning at that Larisa pointed to him, "So how do human girls give their demon husbands their demonic wedding ring?" she asked puzzled. After all, she didn't have demonic energy or sharpen canines to sink into his flesh. Plus, she was pretty sure she would accidently drink his blood and Sebastian told her that was bad.
Looking at her surprised, Sebastian rose an eyebrow, "You wish to mark me?" he asked her surprised.
Gazing at him confused, Larisa nodded, "Its not exactly a marriage if only one of us wears a ring is it, or did I just say something bad. I never did follow through with my demon lessons. Things were rather hectic over there and when we came back, and you were stupid," she muttered giving him a reproached look.
Chuckling at that, Sebastian reached out and traced his finger tips along her jaw, "Yes, I know," he said leaning over to place a kiss to her forehead. Then gazing at her he held up a hand as he gazed at something beyond her sight, "I suppose for you at the very least, your demonic wedding ring is energy, you giving me your powers brands me as yours and yours only," he told her.
Eyeing him, Larisa crawled closer and touched him stroking his cheek before she began to examine him, he was back to that lukewarm feeling. The little color his skin had, had returned so now he was his usual pale with his odd slightly grey undertone. Then there was his eyes, as the days ticked by, they seemed to tarnish but now they were glowing brightly.
Each day that past Sebastian seemed to wilt under her stare like a flower, his hair went flat and lifeless, losing its luster and that underlining strength of his wavered.
Now though, it was as if the Sebastian from yesterday happened years ago, Sebastian was looking better than ever, and he seemed…stronger. Grabbing the end of his shirt, Larisa peered up to him with tears in her eyes, "You look better," she said happily.
Smirking at that Sebastian held up a hand and out of thin air a single steamed white rose appear, handing it over to her he leaned in and pressed a kiss to her lips, "Because of you my dear I'm better than ever…unfortunately, our actions last night, while beneficial for me, have put you on the map," Sebastian told her pulling away.
Looking down at her hands, Larisa concentrated and felt it simmering underneath her skin, it was like an ocean. She knew Femi said she didn't notice it till she was fifty but maybe all that early training was beneficial! Charging up her energy she leaned over and kissed Sebastian at once transferring a large amount of power, but that usual crash didn't follow.
Pulling back with a smile Larisa looked over to a surprised Sebastian, "Goodbye to all those weak spells!" she said happily.
"You can control it," said Sebastian surprised.
Beaming at him, Larisa nodded, "Yep! I learned how the first time I went back to the past, when I went unconscious Femi taught me, she said I'm the first since her to do it. Apparently, Kotomi didn't really have the need and my other selves never really got the chance," she told him.
Nodding at that, Sebastian sighed and set down a silver tray she completely overlooked loaded down with breakfast. The moment the pancake scent floated over to her Larisa's stomach growled. Passing over a fork and knife Sebastian slipped off the bed, "Make sure you eat everything, you didn't touch a thing last night due to your head being elsewhere thanks to me," he said.
Gazing at the breakfast, Larisa peered over to Sebastian who didn't linger, no instead he left the room leaving her to devour her breakfast. Which she did, eating the stack of pancake along with the bacon and eggs, Larisa chased it down with a glass of orange juice. She was actually able to eat everything, she supposed the lack of eating coupled with last night was enough to make her starving.
Setting the tray aside, Larisa peered around wondering if maybe Sebastian left her any clothes she paused when he reentered the room. I have a bath ready for you, just leave the dishes," he told her.
Gazing at him, Larisa frowned and followed after him, "…Sebastian, how are things going to be between us now?" she asked him.
They saw each other entirely last night, she not only saw all of Sebastian, but he had transformed into what she could only describe as his true form. It was a little scary, but she also couldn't help but find him beautiful too. All that aside they reached a new level of intimacy so that meant things changed right? Did they do that all the time now or was it just special occasions or was it different. If Sam was here, she tell her to do it all the time, then give her the juicy details.
Plus, she wasn't a freaking nun, she was aware of things couples did, like bathing together…was he going to join her in the bath or was it all hers. Did she even want him in the bath or did she want to bath alone. Then of course did he want to join? Should she ask him to be polite? If she did ask though and he said yes, and she wasn't comfortable with it, then what?
Feeling her mind about to implode with the string of possibilities, Larisa was stopped when Sebastian reached out and poked her forehead,
Stopping Larisa peered up to him with a hopelessly lost look that he simply smiled at, "Larisa, nothing has to change, just because you've been with me doesn't mean everything has to change. I'm not expecting you to give yourself to me every night. Nor do I expect you to accept intimacy as Samantha does, I want you to discover what you're comfortable with and we'll go from there," he told her.
"What about you? Don't you have wants?" Larisa asked twiddling her fingers.
Gazing at her, Sebastian smiled, "You took my mark Larisa, I'm completely satisfied," he said.
Nodding at those words, Larisa turned pink, "Can we take a bath together…but just a bath?" she asked him shyly.
"It would be my pleasure," said Sebastian amused.
A few days had passed since Sebastian's recovery.
The first thing he did after attending to her the morning after, was go to Charles to show everyone he recovered and afterward he threaten them in such a way that Charles and his family moved. Larisa had mixed feelings toward all that, Charles had been her childhood sweetheart. He was her first friend, she was sad that things were the way they were now, but she couldn't forgive him.
He turned her entire being against Sebastian, she became a weapon against the person she loved.
So, she accepted this bitter turn of events and just wished things could have happened differently, maybe she should have tried more to help him understand. She shouldn't have just accepted he decided to begrudgingly accept everything. There was no use in dwelling on any of that though, after all she couldn't change the past.
Not really.
Charles near success though brought to light something however, the treasure was far to unknown and that wasn't something she could accept! Walking together with Samantha and Ciel, Larisa listen to the two argue over where to eat after shopping was over with. Ciel wanted to go to a café and just eat sweets and drink tea while Sam wanted a real lunch.
She was fine with either, today all three of them were looking for different things. Ciel needed to get a pick up some book he preordered that was finally available. Then after he got his book, he needed to get some things for his science project. Sam wanted to go to her favorite clothing store that was having a bargain sell. As for Larisa, she was looking for a journal, it was time the treasure was document and who better to do that then her.
That had been what the letter was about, she wanted to make sure the next treasure didn't face the same difficulties she did.
Pausing when Ciel and Sam fell silent, Larisa smiled, "So what's the verdict? Café or restaurant?" she asked the duo.
"Its up to you, she won't budge," snapped Ciel crossing his arms.
Glowering at the pint size brat, Samantha crossed her arms, "You obviously eat a meal for lunch!" she snapped at him.
Rolling his eyes Ciel turned to Sam and fumed, "Not everyone feels the need to gorge themselves, ever heard of six small meals a day. Believe it or not that's better for you. Much better than gorging yourself at breakfast, lunch, and dinner with snacks in-between," he said.
"You have the same smart-alec smug tone as a vegan douchebag," snapped Sam.
"Take that back!" yelled Ciel.
Sighing Larisa grabbed both their shoulders and pushed them apart, "You know, you really shouldn't insult them without knowing them, now if the deciding vote falls to me, then I say we go café and before you complain Sam. I know a café that sells actual food along with sweets. So, is everyone good?" she asked. Getting begrudging grips and groans, Larisa smiled, "Good because I think I found the store for me!" she said grabbing their arms and pulling them into a store.
Entering the store, the strong scent of paper and leather filled the air along with a mixture of different incense and potpourri. The walls were painted red and the front windows were filled with books and journals, then aside from the front area, the rest of the store was filled with bookshelves.
Looking around passing through the shelves, Larisa spied tables in the back loaded down with tons of journals, from flimsy little dairies to thick leather journals. Sorting through the journals, Larisa finally spied one that felt right to her. It was made of honey brown leather and was locked together by two thick straps that buckled shut along with a lock and key made from a bronze metal. Along the spine was fake purple gems that matched the color of her eyes.
Picking it up she smiled, "That's going to be your journal?" questioned Ciel coming up from behind.
Turning to him, Larisa smiled, "The gems match my eyes, don't you think that makes it perfect?" she asked him happily holding the journal up to her eyes.
Frowning at the comparison, Ciel sighed, "Your eyes are pretty while those are hunks of plastic," he muttered out loud.
Smiling at that, Larisa hugged the journal to her chest and stroked the gems, "I think they're dyed rhinestones, Ciel. They don't have the same feel as plastic gems, they feel more real but seeing how the price tag isn't outrageous it's safe to say they're fake," she said looking at the price tag. They wanted fifty dollars, which probably meant even the leather was fake, but she was fine with that, she didn't need anything real.
So long as it locked up nice and tight then she was fine, she wanted this to be for the eyes of the treasure only. She wondered if there was a way to make that possible, she could ask Sebastian if there was a way to use his magic to do it. To bad humans didn't have magic.
Almost on cue Sam came running around the corner, "Look, look, look, I found spell book!" she cried out showing them both a dusty looking book that had the wicca earth symbol. It looked like a cross in a circle, "What do you think, think it looks legit," she asked grinning.
"You are not a credit for your kind, you snowball the stereotype that blondes are dumb," scoffed Ciel.
"Oh, shove it, if demons are real why can't witches and magic be real!" snapped Sam.
Sighing at that Larisa reached out and took the book from Sam, "Well if your going to test out whether or not you have magical powers, Wicca is the magic to do. Religious nutjobs see all magic as bad but wicca magic is supposed to be all about the earth…along with female empowerment, though I'm unsure if it started off that way or just became that way. I mostly collected the spell books to look at the art, plus I liked reading the spells. Some are super weird!" she said.
"You collect spells books?" questioned Sam surprised.
"Some of the art is really pretty," said Larisa shrugging.
Looking down at the book, Sam smiled, "Well, if I can't cast spells then you can have it, but if I can, I demand your other books," she commanded with a grin.
Watching Sam head for the register, Ciel sighed, "If she turns out to have magical powers, the world is doomed," he groaned.
Gazing at her brother, Larisa smiled, "I thought you didn't believe in magic?" she asked him.
Grabbing her journal, Ciel gave her a look, "I didn't, then life happen. In a short span of time I find out my sister made a marriage pack with a demon when she was five or six. Then later I discover that shinigami aren't hallucinations brought on by death, but actually people. Then as if that wasn't the icing on the cake, you turned out to be a freaking power shake for demons. After all that my horizon has broaden to the point where I almost expect magic to be real…but seriously, if she's magic, I'm moving to Antarctica," he said passing back the journal.
Sitting down at her desk, Larisa gazed down at the blank pages in front of her, she had it now and she knew exactly what to put down, but now that she plenty of time and it wasn't a dire situation. She was at a blank on the best way to write out her thoughts.
That was the problem with blank things, you wanted it to be perfect, so you were afraid to start, she often got that feeling when she started a new painting. Gazing at the blank canvas she would be wary about putting paint on it and ruining its pristine condition forever. You never got a master piece from a blank canvas though.
Looking up at the cork board in front of her desk she spied photos of her family and Sam, feeling a smile touch her she got up and with a quick trip around the room she pulled in everything she needed. On the first page she drew herself, using the mirror and her pictures she managed to get down her likeness, she could just use pictures, but she prefer painting and drawing to photography. Coloring it in next she finally put her name at the bottom.
Larisa Michaelis nee' Daniels.
It was oddly exhilarating writing that for the first time!
Turning the page, she wrote on the back of the page:
I think I did myself justice, I didn't trying to correct myself and just drew myself as I saw in the mirror and in photos. I know this is a little weird, but honestly this entire situation is weird. I'm apparently the only one to think of this and to be frank I only thought of it because of the things I watch. There are these two shows I like Gravity Falls and Star vs the Forces of Evil. They both have books in them that kind of explain things. In Gravity Falls the journals are like field journals/memoirs and for Star the book of spells is as stated but also a journal for the Queens of Mewni where they put down advice and what they went through.
Right, well, if you have this journal, you're the next treasure.
Being the treasure isn't going to be a cakewalk, if anything it'll bring you just as many problems as it will bring you blessings.
Sitting back Larisa gazed at what she wrote, rereading it a few time she smiled, "The next girl will probably think I'm childish if she looks up these shows. I don't care though, I love them!" she said happily as she once more put pen to paper.
A quick summery of me and my life, I'll tell you in later detail about my first meeting with Sebastian, my demon mate, but for now, I met him when I was five…or maybe six, I don't have a good grasp on time, which once more will be explained later. I have three brothers, twin elder brothers and one younger brother. I'll draw them as well and give you information on them. Then I have a mom and a dad. I'm half Japanese and half British but I grew up in America. So, one of your souls is American! Not sure if you'll enjoy that or not, but if it helps, we've been just about everything, starting off as Egyptian of all things!
I grew up in a loving home, my mom is a little strict, our house is like a fortress, but she has her reasons, when I was little, I got kidnapped by a religious nutjob, but Sebastian saved me. I have no memory of it though, Sebastian took that memory. (Demons can do this as you will learn though my journal, hopefully you won't learn through experience!) I can't say if I miss it and I'm not even sure I would like it back if I could get it back.
Any who, growing up I was pretty normal, I'm not good with school though, I'm much more artistic than I am intelligent. Something that got me in trouble a lot growing up, my dad was really big on being academically incline, so my report cards were always a source of turmoil. Sebastian's been helping me make better grades though, so its not that I'm stupid. Just incredibly hard to teach.
Other than that, I was never really popular, I'm more on the shy side of things so I wasn't outgoing enough to be popular. Plus, there was an incident one year in school that made me get a bad reputation, I can't really remember. I think maybe a popular girl liked a boy who liked me and got jealous, so she ruined me socially. Or something like that, like I said I really can't remember, I was always stuck in my own world. I have exactly one friend, my best friend, Samantha!
"What do we have here?" questioned a voice from behind.
Jumping Larisa let out a cry of surprise and leaned forward covering the journal, looking back she found Sebastian raising an eyebrow at her, "Sebastian!" she cried out.
Eyeing her amused Sebastian smiled, "Writing down your thoughts?" he asked her curious.
Blushing Larisa slowly pulled away and looked down at the journal, closing it shut she picked it up and turned to Sebastian, "Not really, but also yes," she told him. At that Sebastian's eyebrow crawled higher up, "I'm making a journal…for the next treasure," she told him quietly.
"Oh," said Sebastian surprised.
Standing up Larisa dragged her finger up and down the journal, "I'm not declaring my death or anything, but, well I was thinking about things. No one understands me because of lack of information, Kotomi never put her experiences into the written word. Neither did Femi and that's kind of frustrating," she said twiddling her fingers.
Eyeing her Sebastian walked around and touched the book a small smile surfacing, "So you wish to try and ease the next treasure's mind," he said.
Feeling happy that he understood her thoughts, Larisa beamed, "Something like that, I want to tell her about my reign as the treasure. Not to mention warn her about demon hunters and the precautions she should take regarding them. Then what to do if she accidentally poisons her demon mate, can't have people repeatedly going back to the past just to get answers," she told him.
Chuckling at that, Sebastian nodded, "I'm sure your next life will appreciate it, but that will be very far in the future," he told her.
"Of course! So why are you here? Do you need me to come over?" questioned Larisa curious.
Nodding at that Sebastian frowned, "I feel some demons in the area, no doubt here to see the treasure and her mate. So, I would like you to stay at my home tonight. Don't worry your family will be safe and they'll have protection, but it would be best for you to sleep over," he told her.
Frowning at that, Larisa peered out her window, she almost forgot all about demons, she was on the map now, with her full power out everyone knew who she was. Demons now knew her far and wide, "I'll come over," she muttered faintly.
Watching her closely, Sebastian reached out and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, "Pick out pajamas and I'll take them over to your room. After dinner just come upstairs, when you enter your room you'll be transported into my home," he told her.
Nodding at that Larisa went around the room before picking out her pajamas, passing them over she grabbed the journal, "Can you take this too, I like to get more done…but don't read it," she said.
"I wouldn't dream of it," said Sebastian taking the journal from her.
Watching as Sebastian disappeared from view, Larisa sighed, she wondered if this was how it was going to be from now on? Where demons going to come around now, now that she was out in the open and what exactly where they up too? Did they just want to see what she looked like? Or did they want to try and kidnap her in some kind of surprise attack.
They couldn't steal her from Sebastian, after all she only gave energy to those she loved. She was his mate now so that should tell them there was no way. Then again, maybe they couldn't take her energy like Sebastian, but they could eat her. Shuddering at that, Larisa frowned and pushed out those thoughts from her head. She did not want to imagine demons eating her, so she was deleting that. They were not here to eat her, they were here for something else, she just didn't know what that something else was.
Eventually time would tell her.
Dinner went by rather quickly, the conversation was kept light and her father wasn't able to attend due to work, so it was just her, Ciel, and mother. Heading upstairs Larisa said her goodnights before standing outside her door. Gazing at it her hand hovering over the doorknob she grabbed it and open the door finding nothing but inky blackness. Closing her eyes, she stepped through the door and felt as if she was walking through something thick and icky.
The moment her eyes opened though she found herself in the living room, an empty living room at that too. Peering around the room she quickly went in search for someone but found no one, everyone was simply gone, and she couldn't hear anyone in the house. Sitting down on the couch she frowned, "Wonder where everyone is?" she mused aloud.
Sitting on the couch for close to an hour waiting for someone to come, Larisa ended up falling asleep on the couch waking to the sound of footsteps. Sitting up with a jolt, Larisa looked around blurry eyed till finally she spotted a nervous looking Shimon making his way toward her. Sobering up quickly, Larisa frowned, "Shimon?" she questioned.
Sighing Shimon put a finger to his lips and hushed her before waving his hand indicating she should follow him. Getting up and doing just that, Larisa paused when she found a black hole floating in the middle of the hall and she could hear faint voices on the other side. She could hear Sebastian, "Larisa," hissed Shimon quietly.
Tearing her eyes from the hole, Larisa turned and ran after Shimon not speaking till, they were upstairs and far from the hole, "What's going on? Where were you guys? Where's Sebastian and where does that hole lead too," she asked him confused.
Frowning Shimon lead her toward the room he kept her dress, turning on the lights he walked into the mess with determination. Grabbing fabric, he solely pulled out black, with matching black lace. Raising an eyebrow, he peered over to her before reaching out to grabbed violet fabric along with lighter colors. Walking toward the back he frowned, "The other leaders have arrived and wish to meet you along with Sebastian. He tried to get them to wait but they're proving themselves stubborn, he's more powerful thanks to you but not powerful enough to push them back. He's only been with you once after all," he told her ignoring her embarrassment.
"What about Yuki?" questioned Larisa watching him.
Sighing at that Shimon peered over with a grimace, "Yuki will only assure you don't get eaten, he's not involved with the politics of our world anymore or lack of politics I should say," he said.
Frowning at that, Larisa nodded before pausing as she watched Shimon moved around the room tossing fabric this way and that way, "What are you doing?" she questioned confused.
Turning to her, Shimon balled up the fabric in his hands and squeezed, "You must be dressed to impress, after all your presenting yourself as the queen of our world. The Treasure is after all the one true queen of the Underworld, you and only you. Or rather your soul," he said squeezing harder.
Then with a crackling noise he released his hands and a dress fell from his hands onto the floor in a fusion of black and violet. It was a strange dress, it looked like a hybrid of a toga and a ballgown, it was odd but appealing. It was mixed with regal and pretty. The top was like a ballgown with the cap sleeves, but the skirt reminded her of togas she would see on Aphrodite, Hera, or Athena.
Taking the dress from him, Larisa frowned, "Why do they want to meet me? Is this something like see what I'm made of, because we know what I'm made of prudishness, shyness, and insecurities!" she cried, worried she was about to bring down Sebastian's image.
Smiling at that, Shimon held out a hand, "You'll do fine," he assured her.
Nodding at that Larisa turned away from him and went to the bathroom where she changed into the dress and before she left, she put her hair in a braid before dabbing on some clear lip gloss. Giving herself a look over she sighed and tucked a stray hair away, she didn't look like she did on her wedding day but hopefully she was presentable.
Slipping out she was given a nod of approval by Shimon who took her arm and guided her back to the portal in the hall. Gazing at the portal as it hovered in the middle Larisa took a deep breath and passed through it with Shimon. No matter how many times she would probably do this, it was going to feel weird every time. Slipping though she frowned as the world shifted around her, it was colder on the other side and the ground was different. Stumbling slightly, she quickly regained her footing before looking around and at once found herself smack dab in the middle of a demon party.
All around beautiful men and women stood, all looking very demonic and dressed in vastly different fashions at that too. They all had the alien beauty Sebastian did, but unlike her demon they did not look at her the same which was of course to expect. She was just the treasure many of them viewed her as just a meal, nothing more or less.
Peering around the room she slowly walked over to Sebastian her heart thumping in her chest as they followed her with their gazes. Talk about freaky, they wouldn't even blink like a normal person, once at Sebastian's side she turned to the group and simply frowned. She didn't understand why they wanted to met her, what exactly was it going to do for them?
Maybe they wanted to garner her attention, like some did with Kotomi. If so, they were in for a rude awakening because she wasn't passing out cups of blood. That was just to disturbing. She honestly didn't understand how Kotomi would allow herself to be a blood fountain. Standing beside Sebastian for what felt like forever, Larisa frowned as no one said anything.
Raising an eyebrow, she peered around before frowning, "You guys do realize to get anywhere you have to talk…right?" she asked the room. At once almost everyone looked at her even more, which was odd seeing how they were already looking at her! Frowning at all the eyes, Larisa sighed, "Can we please move this along, unlike you all I have a bed time I like to keep and you're seriously cutting into it," she said feeling annoyed.
She knew she should be respectful, but right now all they were doing was being rude.
Why call her out just to stare at her and stand in silence.
Hearing a chuckle, Larisa peered over to find a woman gazing at her amused, "You look somewhat like Kotomi, not as beautiful though. Though your eyes, the exact same color…true violet oppose to that blue violet you humans usually have," she said amused.
Sighing at that, Larisa frowned, "You know, I find myself surprised that demons even mention Kotomi's looks, seeing how all of you can wiggle your fingers and make yourself millions of times better looking than her. So why does anyone mention what she looks like when you compare her and me?" she questioned.
She accepted that Kotomi was the pretty one, along with Femi and probably the others. That didn't bother her though, as she said before she felt she was pretty cute so her looks never bothered her. She just found it baffling that demons and others always used looks when comparing the two, never their demeanor. Though she supposed they would always expect those to be different, after all they were born in different times.
She would be out of place in Kotomi's time, probably looked down upon and considered rude. She knew she was still seen like that by some of her relatives on her father's side. Customs and the likes seemed worlds apart, just like if you were to look in the past. It was hard to accept other customs, especially if you felt they belittled others.
Larisa wondered if there would ever be a time in the future where things like that would fade away to time and people would look back wondering what was wrong with everyone?
Shaking her head getting her mind off of that long train of thought, Larisa turned to the demons, "What do you guys want? If you're here to see if I'm going to start passing out blood punch like Kotomi then I got some bad news. I refuse to give anyone my power unless I choose to, and before you ask, no I haven't figure out who I might give power to aside from Sebastian," she said firmly.
Hearing a chuckle from behind, Larisa peered back to find Sebastian smiling in amusement, "Well you have your Queen's answer, we all know that is why you all came. So, unless you have anything else to discuss I suggest you leave the area and not return unless given invitation," he said calmly.
It was at that time three people pushed through the crowds, then as a unit they all crouched down on one knee and bowed their heads.
In the middle was a woman who was strikingly tall, she towered over the other two and she had dark skin with tarnish golden tattoos of vines covering her body going all over. She was beautiful with heavy lidded eyes the color of blood, she was built like an amazon with a muscular form, long legs, with a boyish figure.
Flanking her left with was rather young-looking man with wild red hair and bright green eyes, he had a black tattoo over his left eye in the shape of a heart. He was sleek and wore black on black on black, with his coat having long coattails, he even wore thick gloves. The only skin she saw was his head!
Flanking the woman's right was an odd-looking man, he looked as if he took body paint and painted himself to look like a skeleton. Only it was his skin. His eyes were a sparkling gold and his hair was a wispy ghostly white that fell around his face like a fluffy cloud. He two wore black clothes only he had short sleeve top and his jack was sleeveless but like the other guy his coattails were long.
Looking at them surprised, Larisa took a step closer to Sebastian who reached out to her comfortingly, "You wish to say something?" asked Sebastian frowning.
Peering up the red-head smirked, "I pledge my loyalty to you Sebastian, I may not like you and may want your head as a decorative piece in my palace…but I recognize the treasure as my Queen. If she names you my King, then I must obey. So, my queen, you may count me as your loyal minion, that's all I wanted to say. So, I'll be leaving, hope to play with you in the future, Queenie!" he said with a wink before standing up.
Looking at him surprised, Larisa cocked her head, "Really…your pleading your loyalty to Sebastian just like that? Who are you?" she asked.
Smirking at that, the red head shook his head, "I'll pledge myself to whoever you deem your King. I learned the first time you showed up in the underworld not to go against you. As for who I am, I've picked Kale to be my name for a while. I decided to go Hipster with my name this time I didn't invent them, but god do I love the rage they invoke in the masses," he said happily.
Looking at him surprised, Larisa frowned, "…I want to say I like you…but something tells me I'm going to hate you," she said confused.
Smirking at that Kale chuckled, "That's the feeling I go for," he said grinning.
Standing up the woman glared at Kale who quickly lost his smirk, "You speak far too much," she hissed annoyed, then she turned to them both. Flashing a rather warm smile, she walked up to Larisa and grabbed her hand and touched her forehead to her knuckles, "I too plead my loyalty to you, young one. Kotomi and Yuki's rule was very beneficial to our realm. I look forward to your reign in the same fashion," she said.
Frowning at that, Larisa fidgeted and tucked her arms behind her back, "I hope I can met you expectations," she said embarrassed.
Bowing her head, the woman stepped back, "I'm sure you'll do fine, as for my name, I've been going by Anita, or Nita for short," Nita told her amused.
Once she stepped back the skeleton man stood up and stuffed his hands into his pockets, gazing at her with a rather tired expression he frowned, "Echo…same as Nita," he said dully, then he promptly turned around walked off disappearing into the shadows.
Blinking in surprised at his abruptness, Larisa pulled away from that when other voices began to speak but rather than coherent words they were simply mutters. The men and women who didn't speak began to slipped off into the shadows and once a majority was gone, Nita and Kale left as well. Watching them till the shadows swallowed them up, Larisa turned to Sebastian and reached out for him, "What was that?" she asked worried.
Smiling at her taking her hand, Sebastian reached up with his free hand and tucked away a stray bang, "That was your first summit, my bride. You did quite well and even managed to get three of the higher Hell Kings to plead their loyalty to your reign. Congratulations," he said.
Looking at him surprised, Larisa was pulled along and barely noticed when they arrived at the house and Shimon went off to leave them alone, "I did?" she asked astonished.
Chuckling at that, Sebastian nodded, "They are some of the oldest Kings, or I should say they are the younger of the older. There are six ancient Kings and you saw three today, I imagined I'll receive letters and gifts from the other three proclaiming their loyalty. It's the newbies like me that will give us headaches," he announced.
"Why are the ancient ones so willing to give you their loyalty?" asked Larisa.
Smiling at her Sebastian reached out and tapped her nose, "Because they carry much wisdom, they came to the conclusion that the true Queen is the Treasure. Yuki, thanks to Kotomi, created order within our world and while at first everyone hated that and rebelled. They eventually calmed down and came to see what order brought," he announced.
"What about Femi?" asked Larisa intrigued.
Chuckling at that, Sebastian shook his head, "Femi was never associated with Kotomi and to be honest she was treated more like the boogeyman. As you known Femi was long before Kotomi and by the time your pervious-self arrived she had faded to myth. Much like the Greek Gods, Femi had many stories, some not true and some true. She had both good and bad stories. She was mostly used to scare children into behaving themselves," he chuckled.
Feeling a fluttering sensation like laughter pass through her, Larisa reached up surprised and touched her chest. Catching sight of her movement and bewildered expression, Sebastian rose an eyebrow, "Larisa?" he questioned puzzled.
Furrowing her brow, Larisa peered up to Sebastian, "I don't know how, but I think Femi just laughed. I think she found what she became to the demon world funny," she told him surprised.
Frowning at that Sebastian's eyes drifted downward to her hand before back up, "Your felt Femi…are your feeling alright?" he questioned. Before she could answer he leaned down and began to examine her no doubt wondering if she was about to have a stroke, a heart attack, or an aneurysm.
Nodding at his question, Larisa frowned, "I feel fine, the feelings gone," she mused.
Pulling back at that, Sebastian hummed, "I wonder if your gaining a stronger connection to Femi, why though is up for grabs. So much has happened that nothing can really pin it down. Not only have you met the woman twice in your own mind, you've learned your true existence, and then there was the whole angel business. Not only was your body purified enough he could reshape, he reshaped and is undoubtably still residing within you," he mused.
Sighing at that, Larisa shook her head, "There are too many unknown factors, I'm sure there's a number but I'm to much of an idiot to know how many," she said letting out a yawn.
Snapping out of his contemplation, Sebastian frowned and stood up straighter, "It's time for bed, where do you wish to reside tonight. My room or your own? The one here, by the way. Even if the meeting went relatively smooth, I can't let you return home till they all leave," he told her.
Nodding at that, Larisa pointed toward her room, "I like to sleep alone tonight, can I have my journal though. I like to write a bit more before I go to bed," she told him.
Pulling out her journal Sebastian passed it over, "Very well, I'll be downstairs constructing an agreement clause between my Kingdom and the Ancient kings. Make sure you don't stay up for too much longer, good night," said Sebastian leaning down to place a chaste kiss to her lips.
Smiling at him, Larisa nodded, "I will, good night, Sebastian," she said happily.
"Good night, my bride!" Sebastian said happily.
With her journal in hand Larisa went into her room, it was still the same. Sitting on the bed, she got situated on the bed before she cracked open her journal. Going to where she left off Larisa gazed at the finished sentence and wonder what to put next. Should she introduce the next treasure to her family or just start her story and pepper in her family, immediate at that. Mom and dad had enough family between the two of them to pack this journal.
Gazing at the page smiled, she would introduce her family then start the story.
First on the list, her beloved baby brother!
Tell me your thoughts!
