After her declaration, Hinata was back on the streets of Konoha. She was completely engrossed in her thoughts as she wondered what she would do next. The environment around her had completely disappeared as she thought about the changes she was going to have to make to her life. There was definitely no possibility of her going back home to her father, but she knew she was going to need money to keep herself independent. It was then that she became angry for not thinking it was important to have her own savings for any emergencies. She was wrapped up in the idea of her and Sasuke being together forever that she didn't contemplate the forever might have been too much of a fantasy term. He always made her feel as though she was the only one in his eyes and because of that she gave him her complete trust. How foolish. At this point her adrenaline was starting to wear off and conveniently she caught sight of a park nearby. She quickly made her way over to the nearest bench and dropped down heavily enough that the wooden seat creaked underneath her weight. Her emotions had finally returned to her as she began to relax. The tears welled up in her eyes as the betrayal set in. He wasn't just her lover but her best friend. For him to her embarrass her like this was infuriating. She loved him with her whole being...maybe that was her mistake. Her tears had finally broken through, warming her cheeks with the sadness they carried. As her mind filled her head with the happy moments they spent together, she cried harder. She mourned the death of their relationship because for her, there was truly no possible way she could think of forgiving him.

After a few moments she finally gained her composure, wiping away her tears aggressively. She reached a point that she refused to cry any longer. This was going to be her turning point. Training would become her life. It was going to help her harden herself to the disappointments people constantly gave her. "No more" she whispered, balling up her fists before standing to her feet. It was time to rid herself of the hurt forever and with that thought she stood up and sprinted her way over to Anko's office. It was late but she had to get this done tonight. Once she arrived at the office, she was pleased to see the that there were lights on in the upstairs area which meant that Anko was at least awake. She knocked on the door a couple of times before stepping back. The light was immediately turned on downstairs and the woman made her way door, stopping for a brief moment to look at who was knocking before opening the door. "Hinata? What are you doing here?" she asked with yawn as she closed her robe. "Are you alright?"

Hinata stepped passed her, completely ignoring the questions. Her eyes were beginning to well up with tears again but she quickly wiped them away, "I need to divorce Sasuke."

Anko watched as Hinata forced herself to say those words. She concluded that they seemed to be having a lovers quarrel and as a result her first approach was to calm the girl as much as possible. Divorces were rough and they usually took a long time. "Wait...let's sit" she suggested, making her way behind her desk to have a seat. Once Hinata sat down Anko leaned forward, looking at her for a moment. "Maybe you should sleep on it. Men are idiots at times, have you tried talking with him?"

"What he did is unforgivable" Hinata responded, breaking eye contact with Anko for a moment as her anger returned. "The time for talking is over. I want nothing to do with him anymore."

Anko sighed heavily as she leaned back against her chair, still studying the young woman. "What happened?" she asked, getting into her professional mode.

Hinata rolled her eyes, really not wanting to talk about the events. She looked down at her hands before bringing her attention back to the woman, "Well I guess that's information that you're gonna need to know..."

"You know my style, I'm not a gossip. If he's a dirty bastard, which from what I'm seeing with the attitude you have now, he is. He might just make this difficult. But you're a Hyuuga so this might no-"

"I'm doing this by myself...I don't need help from that family. I completely severed my ties when I married Sasuke." she said a little more loudly than she expected, interrupting Anko. " The only thing I carry for them are these eyes and nothing else."

Anko simply nodded in response to Hinata, understanding her feelings on that matter. Frankly, she didn't want to be in any business with the Hyugas. She heard the family was not the easiest to deal with and she would continue to avoid them if she could. "Ok then, well to start I want you to know that I believe in you. I see your strength through your words. I know you'll survive whatever is happening" she'd say with a bright smile as she took out her notepad. "I'm ready to listen when you're ready to talk."

Hinata smiled as well, allowing herself to relax for a moment. "I really appreciate that" she said with a sigh as she worked up her nerve to talk about the situation. "Sasuke cheated on me..." she'd finally say, her voice cracking a bit after her confession. "With Sakura" she added, disgusted to even have to say her name again. "This might make things more complicated but I want to be truthful...brace yourself" she warned. "When I found out what he did...I went to the hospital and threatened her...held a kunai to her throat and everything. I don't know how Sasuke will react to that but I'm prepared for anything."

Anko's mouth fell open when she heard what Hinata did but it soon turned into a mischievous smirk as she continued taking notes. 'Who knew I would like this girl so much' she thought to herself. She then grabbed the official divorce papers and handed them to Hinata. "Alright here you go...all ya gotta do is get him to sign these and once signed the divorce will be looked over by the Hokage and as soon as she finalizes that, you are free. Do you have somewhere to stay? I know you're not going to want to stay with him."

Hinata sighed heavily as she took the papers, "I have no idea what I'm going to do about living arrangements yet" she explained as she rose to her feet. "Hopefully I can find an inn or something but I don't know how successful I'll be at this time of night."

"Oh! Hold on one second" Anko said as she searched her desk for something.

The young woman held the papers close to her chest as she waited, glancing at the papers in the process. She still couldn't believe this was actually happening but she was comforted at the fact that this would be a new beginning for her.

"Ah here" the woman said as she handed over a card to Hinata. When the girl took it, Anko stood up to make her way to the door. "I know the owner of that inn. He knows me and owes me a favor. Just let him know that I sent you okay? Directions are on the card as well."

"Thank you for everything Anko. I know it's late and last minute but I just had to do this" Hinata explained as she went to give the woman a hug.

"You don't need to explain anything to me sweetie. After hearing what you've been through in the last couple of hours, I think you should seriously consider grabbing a drink" she'd say with a wry smile as she returned the hug. "Take care of yourself."

Hinata and Sasuke's Apartment

Hinata stood outside the apartment, biting at her bottom lip nervously. Her thumb traced the cuts of the key as her mind played over what was going to happen when she went in. Usually she would have thought that Sasuke would stop her from leaving, but now she didn't feel like she knew him anymore. The past couple of months had been rough between them and now the wedge had grown even more. The had reached their end and she was scared that he wouldn't try to stop her from leaving. That realization made her not want to go in. Regardless of her fear, she knew she had to do this. He needed to know that she was serious. After taking a deep breath, she finally opened the door to a dark apartment. She looked around for a moment before turning the light on seeing that Sasuke was waiting on her.

"We need to talk" he said softly when her eyes met with his. He knew his actions were unforgivable but he never expected that Hinata would actually go and confront Sakura. To drive her to the point where she would pull a weapon on someone is horrible. Anything could have happened and it would have been his doing.

Hinata sighed as she set the key down on the kitchen counter. Her head dropped for a moment as she actually thought about whether she should give him the opportunity to explain himself. She turned suddenly in his direction, her face marked with a cold expression as she looked at the man she once trusted. "We have nothing to talk about. You made the decision to fuck Sakura and I made the decision not to deal with you anymore" she said sternly as she walked over to drop the papers on the coffee table. "It's over Sasuke."

Those words rang through his ears like a loud bell. He didn't expect things to fall apart this quickly. For some reason he expected that once they calmed down and spoke that everything would be okay. Consequently, he made the mistake of being like everyone else in that he thought he could predict his wife's behavior. He knew her better than anyone else and he forgot about her strength that he admired so greatly. Hopelessness started to set in as he stared blankly at the papers on the table. "I am so sorry" he finally said, looking toward her before crawling to her side. "Please don't leave Hinata...I'm sorry."

"Stop it!" she said loudly, tearing away from him to make her way to the bedroom. Tears started to well up in her eyes as she went to the closet. She grabbed some bags and started stuffing them with as much of her things as she could. Time was of the essence here because he strength was dwindling as she listened to his pleas. By the time she had finished stuffing her bags, he was standing in the door frame blocking it as though that would stop her from leaving. She immediately grabbed her bags and walked up to him. "Move" she commanded.

"Hinata please" he begged as he continued to stand in her way. However, Hinata had pushed passed him.

She dropped her bags by the door and walked over to the papers. "Sign them!" she yelled but her voice cracked a little as tears started streaming down her face.

There no was changing her mind and it seemed like the best thing to do was to sign the papers. She was too upset to even hear him out. He swallowed hard as he picked up the pen and signed hesitantly. "Finished" he'd say sadly lifting the papers off the table to hand them over. He feared that it was the last time he would ever see her in 'their apartment'. " Where are you gonna stay? I mean you don't talk to yo-"

"None of your fucking business..." she'd say angrily as she roughly wiped her tears. "Fuck" she cursed as she began to cry before snatching the papers out of his hand.

"I can help.." he said softly, taking small steps toward her.

"No!" she yelled, her voice cracking slightly as she turned away to walk out of the apartment. "I'll be back to pick up the rest of my things la-" but before she could finish she felt his large arms wrap around her waist, making her drop her things. She felt like she could break down right there and she needed to escape. "Get off of me..." she breathed, trying her best to hold herself together.

"Please just stay...don't leave me" he begged as he clung to her, burying his face in her neck.

Hinata bit her lip hard, finally slipping out of his grasp. She turned around pushing him away. "I swear to god the next time you touch me like that the outcome will be worse..." she growled before picking her things up. "You did this to us" she'd say before storming out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

Sasuke stood with his head dropped, looking at the place on his chest where she pushed him. The warmth of her hands still lingered and probably would stay there for a long time. He screwed up yet again. This time hurting the one person that he truly cared about. The sound of the door slamming echoed through the house. It made him drop to his knees as he realized that their relationship was truly over.

Hinata ran down the stairs, tripping on the last one before falling to the ground. This time she couldn't hold her tears back and after a minute she began to sob. She looked back at the place she resided in for the past three years. She had loved and lost there. Now she was leaving it and it wasn't because she wanted to but because she had to. It was time to prove that she could make a new beginning for herself.
