Chapter XV
Pit looked at the priest "so I'm the angle right, so what am I supposed to do with that?" Pit said giving the Father a half-lidded stare
"the reef is yours so take it," Meta Knight said motioning to the reef
"but it's the property of the museum I can't take it," Pit said looking the priest in the eyes
"we don't have time for this!" Roy screamed out breaking the glass container with his bow he pulled out the reef and put it in Pit's hands
"okay?" Pit put the reef on his head and adjusted it in a spot that felt more comfortable, than a bright flash of light erupted and Pit was gone
"he will return soon, now go find Marth I will find the general and give him his blade," Meta Knight said throwing the blade up into the air and it vanished
"right" Roy and Link both nodded and ran to the door to find no helmets
"oh well guess no helmets," Roy said jumping on the bike turning it on and riding off Link doing the same
"you know where he is?" Link asked Roy
"no, but I saw him go this way," Roy said taking off in some distant direction
A car zoomed down a street
"I'm surprised you talked her into it," Samus asked Ike
"it wasn't easy but she finally succumbed to reason," Ike said with an annoyed tone his arms crossed
"I'm only coming cuz you said that I would get to see Marth again," she said her face turning red
"where are we going anyway?" Zelda asked the driver and the teenage detective
"the Smash City Museum" Ike responded in an annoyed tone
A figure with short brown hair stood at the head of a construction site. He was in a plain brown T-shirt and black pants and a construction worker's hat on his head. His blue eyes seemed proud but his face didn't show it. He had his skinny arms crossed as if impatient. He looked about fifteen years old … he looked pretty young, a little short, a tiny bit scrawny to be the leader of a construction site but none the less. (A/N; he is but this isn't the first time in this fic that I have put underaged people in adult situations before in this fic. (not in that way you pervs))
"Mr. Okan we're almost done," one of the workers said
"how close," he asked in a noncaring kind of tone
"um now we're done," said the worker getting a wave from one of his buddies
"we finished in half the time … nice work" he said still not looking pleased 'Life is being too good to me something's not right' he looks up to see the sky's getting dark 'damn is it going to rain is that all well I guess the gods are being kind today' he walks away from the building and admired it from the ground 'nice work'
A figure lands on the roof of a building watching as an orange car zoomed down the streets and was coming up on a nearby construction site. The figure grinned and lifted its arm to the heavens and a blade ripped its way out of the person's palm. A sword of shining silver, with a golden hilt and a crimson ruby in its center. A fanged smirk overcame the man's face as they pointed the sword into the sky, dark shades of lightning rained down from the sky and struck the sword. Leaving the blade in an eerie purplish black glow. With a horizontal slash of the air, the lightning burst from the sword and it sliced clean through the newly built building causing the rubble to fall into the street.
Unable to stop the car, the blonde driver, bluenet passenger and the brunette in the back dove out of the car. Getting out in time all sighed in relief but the brunette walked up to the bluenet and almost slapped him if he hadn't caught her wrist.
"you idiot you could have killed me" she screamed
"Oh poor you, it's not like me or Samus couldn't have died even if we were in the same situation and if I was you I wouldn't be complaining if anything me and Samus had a greater percentage of dying then you did so can it" he growled as he let go of her hand.
"I have half a mind to slap you" she screamed
"do it I want to see you try" he challenged her
The figure leaped off the building and landed in between there fight. Her eyes widened at the sight of who it was.
"Marusu? The world thought you were dead" she gasped
"far from it my princess, far from it" he took steps closer to her
"Get away from her!" the bluenet screamed as he charged at him.
"fool" he vanished and reappeared behind him and flicked him in the middle of his spine. The bluenet fell on the floor unable to move. He turned his gaze to his blonde friend to find her in the same position, unable to move a muscle
"Samus!" the brunette gasped
"Zelda look out!" the boy yelled a warning to her in time for her to be face to face with the infamous masked murderer. She tried to move but found her body as mobile as a statue.
"Don't resist me, my princess, you'll find that a lot harder than expected" he separated the distance between them and he lifted her into his arms and leaped into the rubble and soon out of the
"damn it" the bluenet yelled jumping to his feet.
"Ike calm down," Samus said as she two jumped to her feet
"something doesn't seem right about those two" Ike said as he stared after them
At that moment a fat man on a nice looking black motorcycle appeared on the horizon, Ike had no idea what overwhelmed him but when the man had stopped in front of the rubble and planned to turn around Ike grabbed him from the back of his jacket and threw him off and on to the ground he then pulled out the SPD badge that was given to 'A' and held it up
"I'm going to have to confiscate your vehicle on behalf of the Smashville Police Department when you wish for it back it will be in the SPD office if you are not there three days you're not getting it back" Ike told him not giving him a chance to speak and jumped on the bike and rode off. The fat man looked Samus and took steps closer to her she got pissed and picked him up and threw him across the road.
At that moment a certain construction worker walked over to there boss that was buying a cookie and tapped him on the shoulder.
"what?" he responded
"Uh boss," he said pointing to the building now in ruins. The teenager didn't say anything but handed him the cookie he then stood there in irritation and threw off his hat in an irritated fashion he then held out his hand to his worker expecting his cookie
"oh uh sorry boss" the man responded wiping crumbs off his face. The teen's eyes were covered by his bangs and he clenched his fists. However, before he could strike a fat man fell out of nowhere and landed on top of the poor teen.
"the gods are fickle!" he managed to say from underneath the fat man. Who at the time was having a phone call with his brother informing him that he is now without a ride and he seemed to be taking his merry time
"I'm going to go get you another cookie okay boss" replied his worker
"you better" the teen growled
"Roy are you sure you're going the right way?" his friend asked him
"no clue" he responded
"he headed east go left" came a familiar voice from his head
"Pit? Is that you or have I gone crazy?" Roy asked the sky
"no, I can hear him too" Links response
"yeah it's cool huh, but anyway go east I'll meet you there" Pit responded
"we're counting on you," Link said, and with that, the two headed for the east in the direction of the beach.
Ike managed to make it to Town square to find Father Knight standing in his way "step aside Meta Rider" Ike said
"Meta Rider? you know I haven't been called that in about eighteen years it sounds almost foreign" he said removing his helmet
"I don't care how long you've been gone it doesn't clear your record" Ike growled
"down pup, my beef is with your father, not you" MetaKnight started
"well my father isn't here," Ike said intimidatingly as he threatened to charge forward
"Listen, boy, I'm not here to speak of my past" the priest stated
"then get out of my way" Ike ordered gritting his teeth
"I will not let you pass until you are certain of where you wish to go," he said
"what do you mean?" asked the detective
"you are unsure of where to go" responded the priest
"I don't understand," Ike said raising an eyebrow
"you're listening to logic not your instincts" Ike said nothing but merely raised his head as if confused but intrigued "science says that he will come to the museum but where is your instinct telling you to go?" the priest removed his staff from his back and held it out "your destiny is not to find the police and stop him, no mere mortal can stop him, not anymore" at that a ball of light appeared out of the staff and hovered in front of the blue-haired teen
"what is this?" Ike asked in confusion
"accept your destiny or damn the future of all life as we know it"
"you're not giving me much of a choice are you?" Ike growled
"I am …either save this world or damn it to hell" the Father responded rather bluntly
"that's not a choice-" Ike started
"I suppose it's not, but then again nobody chooses their fate it was all laid out in front of us the only choice we have is to either accept it or to complain all the way through" Meta Knight responded as Ike started
"I have no doubts that you're just pulling me along to something," Ike said his hands clenched tight on the steering bars
"if you will not accept it by my word, then speak to the General of the Shadow Tribe himself about it" at that he moved so fast that Ike found himself staring face to face with the priest
"Behold the power that the gods have given me to help you see the truth, behold my power to reach into the space that is neither past nor present" at that he latched his hand out from his coat and moved it so fast that all Ike saw was Meta Knight's shadow black coat overcome him and then everything went dark.
Ike opened his eyes to find a dark and empty void of which had no end. Then he began to fall until he landed on a solid surface. He managed to climb on and looked at the rather bold passage made of some sort of bronze,
"what the hell," Ike asked the empty void as if expecting it to speak. "what am I doing here? is no one here? I must be, only madmen speak to themselves" Ike said looking around
"that's not entirely true you've been doing it for as long as you can remember, they call it thinking aloud" came a voice from the darkness
"who's there?" Ike asked the second speaker as the figure began to emerge from the darkness. He had blonde hair messy but it seemed to look like he made it that way, or as if it just liked to be that way, he was at least an inch or two shorter then Ike his broad shoulders conveying power but his stature proving he wasn't all power, his blue eyes showed great strength, skill, and courage but they seemed to be gentle and kind as well. His black tunic, trousers, boots, gloves, and cloak brought out his face but he was still visible as if he himself was glowing.
"who are you?" Ike said lost for words
"I am you, and you are the new me" he motioned to the bronze path ahead of them
"what?"
"Ike you and I share many things in common, but the biggest resemblance is that we both walk down the same path" he started to walk and Ike absentmindedly followed
"what do you mean?" Ike asked confused
"don't you see Ike you must reseal the beast however this nightmare will end, for one will give his all for the sake of all humanity and without you to be by that person it might seal the fate of all life as we know it" he spoke with his back to Ike
"wait you mean someone will die and we can't stop them but how do you know … you're dead you should not know the fate of the living" Ike said taking steps back
"all in heaven know not of the fate of your world, but God is kind to tell us of the newest hero that will be dining with us in Valhalla, the resting place of all who have suffered for the sake of the gods. it is where God's strongest soldiers rest" the man advanced unaware that Ike stop following
"so I'm going to help someone die" Ike said in a shaky voice
"yes but what is one life compared to all of the human race" he was calm but Ike could sense that this man was to feel sorry
"who are you? and what am I supposed to do?" Ike finally spoke
"it is your job as it was mine to protect the royal family as for my name you know it well" he turned around put two fingers to his forehead
"David Samuel Graves" Ike said as if it suddenly came to him
"well done it takes smarts to remember who you use to be" David then flicked him right in between the eyes
"they may have educated you better then me but you still have a ways to go before you're a genius" David then started to walk away
"what do you mean?" Ike screamed out as he followed him
"you worry too much on facts to be skilled you need more than just calculations" David started as Ike merely nodded his head "you need the guts to pull it off, think of it this way you'll never know if something is true if you don't go out there an experiment and sure sometimes you may get the wrong outcome but still keep trying" David explained and Ike took it all in
"I get it now, so maybe I just have to go by my gut sometimes" he said looking at David With a smile David turned his back and started to walk away but before he could Ike grabbed his shoulder
"you said that someone's going to sacrifice their life for humanity who is this person?" Ike asked the general. David turned to Ike his eyes of sorrow and he took in a breath
Roy stood on the rocky ledge overlooking the ocean and turned to Link at his Left Pit at his right now dressed in a white toga and scarf, black shorts and undershirt, and talents of a tannish color a reef in his spiky brown hair and big fluffy wings sprouting from the center of his back. The waves roared and the breeze blew back her hair.
"what's wrong Roy?" Link finally asked
"it's the calm before the storm and yet no one has panicked," Roy said in a calm almost sorrowful voice as if something was troubling him
"what are you trying to say?" Pit asked
"I haven't heard a car drive by or a bird chirp ever since Pit descended from the heavens" Roy said a hint of worry in his voice
"did you guys miss me?" came a voice from the other side of the parking lot
"hey look stupids here" Pit said to his two companions
"what the hell took you so damn long stupid?" Link asked in a playful tone
"nice to have you here Ike" Roy grinned as he shook Ike's hand
"well we going in or not?" Link said in excitement
"but guys there's something I need to tell you" Ike said holding his head down, he was now wearing what David was in his epiphany
"where is Father Knight?" Roy asked worried
Ike explained to all his friends of what David had told him and of what he had noticed 'all the people, animals, even the trees seemed off.
"Maybe it's the dark energy emanating from Ankoku" Pit suggested
"that's probably it" Roy agreed
"so we going to get that guy or what" Link smiled as he put a hand to his sword hilt
"let's go," Roy said and they all descended from the beach below
SR: "Well there you go. Who will die well you'll just have to wait and see? Thanks to Wolfdude16 for letting humiliate his OC. The whole construction worker thing was cuz in an email Wolfdude was being sarcastic and I took him seriously … that was for the Shadow Pole gage :P. Well I tried, so please read and review"
