Love seemed fabled,

It was never talked about or mentioned while I grew.

The only comfort or closure they would give me about this love everyone keeps to themselves, is the ability to imagine such a beauty in your imagination.

As a little girl I would dream about love, being embraced, caressed and adored by someone other than my father and mother.

They are the only love which I knew.

Love of a parent is different from loving someone with your body and soul.

Many of you know, you cannot love your parents the way you desire to love another human; it's unthinkable and shunned.

A kiss from a parent is nurturing. Unlike a lover who kisses every inch of your body.

I dreamt of such since my mother past, when my father had no one to kiss or touch because the angel's had taken her from this planet, turned her into the wind.

I thought I would know when I have fallen in love, know the feeling and the reason for it. To feel comfortable with my thoughts, desires and sinful idea's that floated aimlessly in my mind when I met this person.

But the truth is, it is scary.

To fall in love is nothing but fear and confusion.

You do not understand why your body reacts when you look at them, how their eyes seem to move your heart with a single glance, or how someone's presence can cause you to lose all your composer.

I have fallen in love with someone, it scares me more than anything on this planet.

The door opened slowly revealing the shadow filled shop, and the owner with his friendly smile for money. "Welcome—"he started until he noticed the woman I was with. "You brought a friend", his voice changed to a serious tone.

She glanced over to me before shaking her head. "Not a friend but of an ally of ours", he raised a brow of confusion as he looked over my body. "Princess Kuchiki of Kuchiki kingdom".

The shopkeeper blinked rapidly as he lifted his stripped hat allowing his blonde locks to sway. "Rukia-san", he said breathless.

"That is I", I told him solemnly.

He looked around the area before ushering us inside the shop. "Hurry before someone comes", he whispered as we entered.

Upon entering the shop the smell of musky smoke and wood covered my senses, sending me back in time to when mother would travel out of the kingdom for secret duties.

The snow had stuck to the ground, air blurred by breaths and tree's naked from the winter. Paths were covered by ice, causing the hooves of the horse to echo the silent forest.

A woman dressed in a dark purple cloak whipped the brown horse causing it to run faster. She glanced behind her to see the small girl wearing a pure white cloak, her little hands clenching onto her mother for dear life.

"We are almost there" she told her daughter.

The little girl looked up from the curve of her mother's back allowing her bright purple eyes to glow with the white snow, her rose shaded lips pursed and skin pale as winter. She nodded and looked out to the dead forest. "Mama, the winter is nice" she lifted her hand into the air letting the sparkling ice glide through her fingers naturally.

Hisana smiled at her daughter's words before noticing the village in the distance getting closer. The winter was her daughters love, it protected her and made her stronger.

It didn't take long for them to arrive in the village. The queen raced through the street's on her horse, dodging everything in sight while at full gallop.

Rukia hugged her mother tightly as she turned the horse into a dark alley, and caused the animal to slow down to a fast walk.

Feeling it was safe to look up she met the sign reading:'Kisuke's Shop of Magic'.

Blinking quickly as the memory washed from my mind, I looked at the two as they lead me towards the back room. "I have been here with my mother" I told them.

They both looked at each other and nodded in agreement. "You and Hisana would come here from time-to-time" the woman told me.

"Please, tell me your names" eager to remember them I nearly pleaded.

The shopkeeper lowered his hat as his hand opened the door to the backroom. I could see the small coffee table, tea-pot and cups awaiting us. "We shall discuss this over tea. The subject is quiet heavy" he sighed before heading into the room.

Curiously I walked after him and the woman followed behind me, her hand slide the door closed quickly.

I sat down at the round table, my eyes staying on the blonde unkempt man trying to recall my knowledge of them, there is a deep feeling in my chest telling me I know them. But, why can't I remember them or their names?

"Rukia-san, I am Kisuke Uarahara, and this is Yoruichi" he told me.

The names rang a bell in my head and memories of playing with the two adults flashed in my head. They were friends of my mothers, we would come here for magic item's our kingdom didn't have, while mother spoke with Kisuke I would play with Yoruichi. She would teach me different things, like flash-step, battle techniques and senses.

I rubbed my head as pain flashed through my skull. In the darkness of my eyes, I could see Yoruichi and I playing in a room covered in sand under the shop. She was leaping from wall-to-wall as I flashed after with my winter winds swirling the dusky sand.

"You recall anything now?" she asked me.

I looked up slowly and looked into her bright eyes. "We used to play in that room together under the shop. You would flash all over the place—"I was cut off by the shopkeeper who wore a smirk.

"Seems as though Byakuya's magic is not as effective anymore" he chuckled. "His own daughter can remember with a simple name, you would think since they have the same bloodline his magic would be stronger on her", he finished.

"What do you mean by my father's magic?" being the first time I've heard of such a thing, I grew even more confused and curious.

"Your father maybe a noble man with a crown, but he still relies on a little magic here-and-there to keep his ruling—"

"If that were true my father should use magic to see through his pick in suitors", I interrupted.

"Suitor? He is trying to marry you off already?" Yoruichi perked.

"Yes, he's taken the liberty of traveling far for a man to marry me".

The two looked at each other puzzled before turning to me. "Your suitor, he is not the boy your mother chose when you were a child—"

"I was never to speak with boy's, this is the first I have been around men my age" they seemed dumbfounded by my words.

Is there something that I don't know?

Was there a boy whom my mother chose for me to wed, but father disapproved and used magic to hide those memories of him? Why would my father do such a thing?

There must be something deeper in my memories. There hast to be!

"Kisuke get the picture" Yoruichi demanded as she crawled over to my side, her eyes bright with worry and wonder. 'What did he do to you?' I heard her thoughts whisper in my ear.

He listened to her orders, and went down a hall covered in darkness making him vanish from view.

"You were crying in the alleyway, why?" she questioned.

I bowed my head in shame as she leaned closer to me, I felt shameful for not controlling my emotions and knowing what they are. "I-I am such a fool" I whispered. "How can one not know their feelings?" I muttered.

"Feelings? Rukia, you need to tell me the reason—"she tried.

"I do not know! I have no idea what I am feeling when it comes to the blacksmith! It is new and….. and I am frighten! I am frightened to death when it comes to him, I have never felt this way towards any man or anybody", I shrieked in a sob. Tears stormed down my cheeks as I furiously rubbed my face with my hands. The emotions swirling in my heart made it throb and break repeatedly. I wanted it to stop! Stop already! Please! I beg of you!

"Sweetie, what does this man make you feel?" she asked. "How do you feel when you see him or if you are around him?"

What do I feel when I'm with the blacksmith? I feel safe, there is nothing that can harm me when I am with him, and just looking into his bright amber eyes I feel a blanket of safety cover me. I don't think about my kingdom or the plans Renji has if we wed, Ichigo makes me forget everything I'm running from, he makes me feel like I'm not a princess but a normal girl who he just met. Then there's confusion, I'm just so confused on why I feel this way about him, and what this feeling is, it's all too new and unknown. I feel scared now when I'm with him, my heart starts to race and my thoughts lose control, I can't keep composer. It's like he makes me into a wild woman.

"Safe, he makes me feel safe" I told her, and a smile grew on her lips. "I feel like I can be anything with him, that I am not a princess or some rebel. He understands me even though I do not tell him things, and his brings me comfort with a single glance", I hugged my body as I thought about the bright headed peasant looking for me. I could hear his voice in the back of my mind; that strong, husky, sweet and beautiful voice. "But I am scared—"

"Of what?" she quickly questioned. "If a man can make you feel that way…Why would you fear him?"

"I do not—"

"You do! Stop hiding it!" she shouted slightly angered.

"I do not" I snapped back.

"Why are you afraid, Kuchiki?" she shook me slightly. "Tell me".

As she shook me by the shoulders I tossed my head right and left trying to fight her. I could feel the ice covering the floor as she held me in her grasp. Why am I afraid? Why? Why?!

'Because, I will kill him' my father's voice echoed my thoughts as the woman stopped shaking me like a doll.

"My father will kill him. I do not wish him dead that is the reason I am most afraid, because I do not want the blacksmith dead. I would never forgive myself if he died because of me, and knowing my father he would kill him in front of me, just so he makes a clear statement of empowerment", Yoruichi stopped and tensed as I shook in tears.

I could see my father holding Ichigo at the end of the aisle while Renji stood next to me. My father would use him to make me do as he wishes; he'd make Ichigo watch me get married to my enemy then at the end tell me if I don't wed Renji he'll kill my love. Once I say: 'I do', he will kill him regardless. He may be my father but he's ruthless, there is no end to his ways and there is no one who can change him. Since my mother is gone, there is no one, I can't even change him and I'm his daughter.

I don't want to love because I know it will be the end of his life.

"You love him", she whispered in an embrace. "You have fallen for this peasant of a man, that is what you are feeling…"trailing off she held me tightly. "Sometimes we try to hide our emotions because we know it will hurt someone, but it is not the right thing, Rukia "Yoruichi continued. "Your mother would have wanted you to marry the man you love, and not allow your father to drive you away. Do not let him empower you, you are the rightful person to the throne, the last one who can continued the bloodline to the kingdom. You must remember, your father was just married into the crown, you were born, you have more power than him and if it leads to battle… fight", she squeezed her eyes tightly and her grip increased. "Fight him and win!"

My eyes widened at her proposal, pulling away from her I looked into her hard eyes and looked for her sanity. "You wish for me to fight my father?" I whispered under my breath.

She nodded before placing a hand on my shoulder. "If you don't…he will end himself with the power his has".

"But I will kill him in battle!" I shouted.

My father may be not treat me like he's supposed to, but he's my dad. He is the only one I have left, mother is gone and he is all I have left. I couldn't kill him, I just can't.

"If you do not fight him then your loved one shall", she told me.

Fear quickly covered me.

Ichigo would have to fight my father? Why?

"If you do not, he will have to. If this man is nothing but a peasant then he will die fighting him—"

She tried to tell me but I couldn't hear it anymore. I didn't want to think about deciding who is going to live and die; if I don't fight my dad, Ichigo will die and if I do fight him my father will.

Kisuke made his way down the hall with a pile of papers in his hands. "I got the p—"

"No! No! I won't allow him to die!" I snapped at the mage. "I cannot allow Ichigo to die".

Her hands dropped from my shoulders and looked over to Kisuke who dropped the photos. "H-How—"she couldn't complete what she was going to say.

"What?"

Then my eyes landed on the photos scattered on the floor.

~Ichigo's P.O.V~

"Rukia!" I called out for the hundredth time.

I've been searching for the petite royal since she ran off in tears. When I saw her tears I couldn't help myself, I can't stand it when she cries, it's like my sisters or mother; it hurts me to see her sad. Just her violet eyes covered in red, and bubbling liquid sliding down her cheeks caused my heart to ache. It killed me.

"What are we?"

I ran my fingers franticly through my hair in frustration. "I do not know", I growled as her voice repeated in my mind. I really wanted to know myself: what we are.

Images of her face flashed in my mind: her smile, cute expressions, poker face, curiosity, when she sleeps, the way her face cringes when she is injured or in pain; every expression she makes ran through my mind.

My fist slammed against a brick stone wall causing people to scream at the action, and look at me oddly.

"Rukia…" I whispered as my fist throbbed slightly but the pain subsided.

Looking over to the stone I had punched I noticed the indent were a rock should have been, then I noticed my hand; the swirling black and red flame wiping in the air. My breath stuttered at the sight, and then I noticed what others had, they noticed the magic.

Not wanting to be hung for the deed, I turned around and ran down an alley way. I didn't stop until there was nowhere to run.

Panting heavily I sat on the steps of the small shop, and gripped my wrist tightly as the flame burned brightly. "Go away already!" I hissed as it flickered with energy.

Everything was quiet for a while then a shout came from the shop. "RUKIA!?"

From the voice inside the shop I forgot about my hand, and turned without thinking. Quickly I slid the frame open and ran through the aisles franticly.

I promised to keep her safe, that there is nothing that will harm her, now if she is hurt I will kill whomever did it.

"Rukia! Wake up! Rukia!" I followed the voice and pulled the back door open to see Kisuke and Yoruichi looked over the tiny princess.

"What did you do?!" I screamed before rushing to her side and placing my head against her chest.

When I heard the beating of her heart in my ear, relief rushed over my body and I sighed. "Thank goodness", I whispered into her shirt. "Do not scare me, Dwarf" I chuckled.

"Ichigo" I heard Kisuke say. I looked up to the two and noticed their serious expressions. "How did you find her?"

"What are you talking about hat and clogs?" growling slightly I looked over the two. "What did you two do to her?"

Yoruichi noticed the black in my eyes and then glanced over to Kisuke. "This is the reason Byakuya wanted them to forget each other" she told him.

"What are you talking about?" growing irritated I snapped my eyes between the two. "More importantly: What did you do to Rukia?" I repeated.

As though they were having a conversation with their eyes, they nodded in agreement before turning to me "She fainted, probably from stress" Yoruichi told me.

I scooped up the maiden into my arms and looked at her sleeping face. She looked peaceful and innocent, completely breath-taking to me. "Gomen'nasai" I whispered into her hair.

I made her feel stressed.

She's confused because I couldn't control myself, I had to kiss her and feel her, my heart wanted it and I couldn't resist. Her doe eyes, dazzling expression and luscious lips, I had to kiss her.

Now she's worrying about the status of our relationship, not to mention the stress of her kingdom on her shoulders; or the idea of her father chasing her. She must be worrying about a lot of things, and here I am confusing her because I couldn't hold myself back. I'm so selfish.

I could feel their eyes on me as I lifted Rukia, and held her tightly. Feeling guilty I listened to her soft breaths, stared at her long lashes and slightly parted lips; such a sight made me want to take her and make her mine.

Why am I having such selfish thoughts?

Usually I am a patient and well-mannered man, I would never want these things from a woman, seeing as I have two sisters back home.

Kisuke placed a hand on my shoulder causing me to look up with my shadowed eyes. "This way Ichigo" he pointed to one of the rooms down the hall.

I nodded before standing to follow the shopkeeper closely.

My parents and Kisuke are close friends, he and Yoruichi are almost like family to me. I've known them since I was a baby, they would take care of me when mom and dad had to go for business; they helped me through the toughest days of my life.

Carrying Rukia in my arms down the dark hall I knew well, I stared at the shopkeepers back. I have trust in him but when it comes to the woman in my arms, I wasn't sure who I should trust. I can barely trust myself with her.

He opened the sliding door and stepped to the side allowing me to enter. "She can rest here for now, but we have much to discuss, Ichigo" nodding in agreement and looked down to the tiny futon.

Slowly I laid her down, her long hair flowed over the mattress and the slight light from the street highlighted her features. I wanted to lean down and kiss her, perhaps it will wake her from her slumber like the fables my mother used to read my sisters, but I fought my desires and turned back to Kisuke who was watching me intensely.

I quietly entered the hallway as he closed the door. "Took you a lot to not touch her" he smirked before walking ahead of me. Stunned I stared at his green covered back with narrow eyes. "I can see it in your energy, Ichigo" he told me.

Urahara Kisuke, an old noble who ruled over some land in Soul Society. He was known for his amazing magic which he created on his own, there were several people who would die for his work. The man was blessed with natural magic, the kind that is passed on from generations of cursed souls, this gave him the power to see the soul with a single touch, read the energy level, their past lines and more. There is reason he's always trying to grab anybody's hands; with such a gift his curiosity blossoms and he can't help himself.

Entering the kitchen-like area, I noticed the intense look Yoruichi wore in her eyes as she stared into photos resting in her palms.

She glanced over to me before look down the hallway where Rukia is resting. "How did you find her?"

"I did not find her, she found me" when I first met Rukia is was when she was in her room, probably getting ready for the day. I can remember her leaned out the window and speaking to me as though she wasn't a princess, and in my eyes she isn't.

"Do not try to think of me as a fool. That girl is not somebody you run into without a purpose" she growled leaning forward over the table. "Now, tell me: how did you meet her?"

I sighed in defeat, there is nothing that will satisfy the mage except the truth.

"I was summoned there by King Kuchiki", I admitted.

From the expression on her face she seemed to not believe me, but then she grew serious. "Why would Byakuya do such a thing?" she muttered. "For what?"

"He wanted me to make the rings for Rukia's marriage— "I tired.

"That donkey's ass" she chuckled before sighing. "Well, his ignorance got him into a trouble. His daughter has fled his kingdom, there is no finding her, and she is starting to recall her past", Yoruichi muttered to Uarhara. "How long do you think it will be before the King of Kuchiki kingdom will come crumbling down?"

"Not long", Kisuke replied breathless.

"I would not say that if I were you" such words caused them to snap their glazes on me. "It seems that there is something bothering Rukia as we travel; she will wake from a slumber screaming or in a frantic state, and will look into water as if it is a looking glass".

Tilting her head to the side Yoruichi tried to make something out of the information I had just shared. "Looking glass of water you say?"

"Hai, I caught her staring into the river one morning before she did something unorthodox".

She leaned back with her eyes closed as though thinking about the talent. "She must have gotten that from her grandmother", she smirked before sighing. "You see the Queen before Hisana was a woman of the future, she could use these abilities that no one knew of. If they did she would be slaughtered for such magic…"

~Flash back~

"Oi! Queen-sama!" Yoruichi stared up the castle with her lips curved into a smile as she waited for the woman. "I have come as you requested from my father" she giggled with her eyes on the high window.

"Ah, Princess Yoruichi. You have finally arrived and not a knight with you… as expected from a woman of your scanter" she tensed when a waving sound of a portal covered the air.

Her bright eyes looked up to the sky to see the large dark purple puddle like orb floating above her. "No warning", she whispered before flipping forwards. "Such a move is vulgar for a queen" Yoruichi laughed.

"I have my tricks and ways", the royal smile. She flicked her long cloak to the side making the black material fluttered in the breeze. "Kai toge" the queen laughed.

A large spear appeared in the queens' hands as she tilted her head to the side. Her eyes widened as she stared at the noble, excited for the battle the woman would give her. She swirled the spear quickly like the wind. Laying the spear on her shoulder tightly she smiled creepily at the princess.

"Shall we?" she smirked.

Yorucihi smiled at the queen and flicked her wrist, with the movement a bright shock of purple lightening lite her palms and grew in seconds into a large shocking blade. A long bright chain of electricity traveled up her arm, and across her shoulder like a strap.

Charging towards the woman she cried for battle, and swung her blade down on the queen who block quickly with her spear of time.

Leaping back her eyes pierced her bright violet eyes lite with memories of the princess's past. Her ability gave her the doors to others lives, allowed them to see the happiest moment and the worst, such a gift made people crumble as their captivated in the memory. They reflect in her eyes, drag you into a trance that is barely breakable, as you are thinking about this memory she attacks and kills her prey. It's quiet terrifying but beautiful.

Memories of she and her father playing together in the fields of her kingdom covered her eyes, as she stared into the queens' orbs.

The woman dressed in black smiled as she walked closer to her victim.

Yoruichi twitched a smile as she looked into the memory with laughter, joy and unbarring happiness; she remembered when things weren't so complicated and she could enjoy her father's presence. Now he was too busy working, making allies, attending weddings and try to be the best ruler to their kingdom. She knew deep down that it would be the end of him someday, but she wanted to enjoy him for the remainder of his time. Is that such a bad thing?

A tear danced down her cheek as she blinked away from the queen as reality came to her senses. She figured out that her father is at home working, and not paying mind to her whereabouts.

Then she hear the clicking of the queens' shoes and tightened her hold on her blade. 'How dare you try to use such a trick on me? 'Her thoughts ranted in anger.

As the woman got closer she turned and whipped her sword at the spear causing it to fly through the air like a bird. Startling the queen she stumbled to the ground and looked up to the princess with wide eyes.

Panting softly she looked down into her fading memories with her blade pointing at the woman's throat. "What did you call me here for?" she growled causing the bolts to flicker wildly. "I believe you did not call me here for just a battle".

In shock the queen gasped for air before look to her side to see a puddle of water. "Let me show you what I have seen, my dear" she stretched her hand out and her finger touched the water. Closing her eyes tightly the water glowed bright and images came to life.

Yoruichi tilted her head to the side as she looked down to the water.

She could see her father working hard, signing papers and reading documents with his feather pen. Then she noticed the shadow in the background, the shadow of a man with broad shoulders and short shaggy hair that reached to his shoulders.

Her eyes widened when she noticed the royal clothing on his body as he walked into the light.

"Your father is to be murdered in three nights—"she pulled the blade away and looked over the yard as people walked in peace. "Yoruichi?" she questioned.

"Horse! Bring me a horse!" she shouted in a frantic rush.

Several men nodded and went into the stables to bring out a horse. "What is the matter? There is three days" the queen grabbed the girls' shoulders and noticed the shaking in her body.

"Three nights? Are you mad!" she shouted.

"I am not mad, I am certain—"

"How can you be? The killer is… is—"

"Is whom?"

Her lips pursed together unable to say the words. "My brother" she managed to say.

~End of flashback~

The table is quiet as I looked at the purple-haired mage; she seemed off in her own world when she used to have power and a kingdom at her feet. Those were the days my father and mother told me to never ask about: it brought to many bad memories and crossed ties.

Back in school we would learn about the different kingdoms.

The first kingdom: Restu Castle, known for their large population of witches. Many other kingdoms allied them because of their ability to heal others with magic, not to mention their powers in battle. Rumors were that the witches could make men kill their own side, make other turn on each other and have a kingdom destroy itself with a single wave of a hand. The most powerful mages inhabit the kingdom and train the weaker witches to be stronger; the downfall to the population of mages is the sex. There is mostly women and barely any men, the lands ruler hast to send requests to their allies for men. Such power but yet a failure.

Kingdom Two: Yoruichi's old kingdom. It was the land of assassin's, they taught all their men how to fight in the shadows; they were the fastest, strongest, most flexible and sneaky people any kingdom could meet. Her kingdom was unstoppable until Kuchiki Kingdom was renamed and the birth of a child echoed the land. The once allies castles turned against each other when Yoruichi's brother attack the kingdom by himself.

That winter a war broke out.

Kuchiki kingdom was equal with their opponent until they had enough of the dappling and death; they released their secret weapons. The royal family.

In an hour the kingdom once ruled by the Shihouin became Kuchiki land by the hands of three people: Hisana Kuchiki, Byakuya Kuchiki and their daughter.

According to my mother when Yoruichi ran out to see the battle there was nothing but ice, and scattered soldiers. The field once painted in scarlet red had turned to ice in seconds; the king and queen only took a small percentage, but the princess… it was nothing but an ice-covered murder scene.

"That child was…was outstanding in war and she was only a toddler—"Yorucihi gripped her head as she leaned into the table. "How could two people like Hisana and Byakuya make something so beautiful?" she whispered.

Urahara watched as the woman shook in excitement over the past, muttering the sights she saw during warrior and the power unleashed on the field that day. I've never seen her so out-of-character.

I was waiting for her to foam at the mouth, eyes rolling to the back of her skull and evil laughs sprouting from her lips; but she gained her composer when she looked down the hallway.

Lunging forward towards me, nearly having our lips meet she smile widely like a demon. "Just to think…"she chuckled. "You were to wed such a being".

"What are you talking about? I just met her" I snapped.

Her eyes grew as she stared at me with a scary expression before launching over the table, knocking me down to the ground and pinning me like a trap. "Such rubbish! You, Jiro and Kaien, were in a battle for the princes—"

"Yoruichi" Kisuke stopped her and pulled her off my body. "Stop. Those times have gone and been forgotten. Never to be spoke of again" he stared into her wild eyes as they grew with anger.

"I-In the past?!" she shouted. "Urahara, the poor girl is with him now—"

"She is trying her hardest to protect her kingdom from her fathers faulted ways. There is nothing happening between the two", Kisuke crushed her soul as she stared into his dull orbs. "We need to move on, and see that they are never going to be like we thought they were supposed to".

She shook the shopkeeper softly before burying her head into his chest. "But Kisuke… it was to be so wonderful. A woman with such power and then the lines of—"

"I know, but it is gone and never to be seen", he embraced her tightly before looking over to me. "Either way, I heard Ichigo is destined to wed the famous healer of Soul Society: Orihime Inoue " he smiled.

~Rukia's Dream~

The sweet sound of children laughing sang in the air, and caused me to stir. I blinked slowly allowing the bright sun to peek into my eyes from the large tree I had chosen to rest under; yet don't recall such a decision.

I looked up to the hardy branches of the beastly tree, its limbs filled with luscious leaves marking the middle of summer. Bark old enough to tell me a story about the kingdom's past, but elegance with the fresh breeze blowing the laughter to my ears.

'Mama! Mama!' I heard a little girl squeal my way.

I sat up quickly having the grass rustle under my white summer gown.

'Mama!' the little girl leaped into my arms slightly throwing me off guard but as she embraced me, I couldn't help but hug her back and inhale her sweet peppermint scent. I brushed her short raven locks while her chubby hands tightened on my clothing.

'What is it, my child?' enable to control my lips I heard the voice of my mother come from mine.

She pulled out of my arms and greeted me with a bright smile. Such pale skin and red lips it's almost exactly like my own. I went to touch my lips but couldn't, I had no control of my body.

Then she opened her eyes and my heart stopped when I met two bright violet orbs, and long lashes. 'Mama, Kai-kun and Jiro-san are at it again in the garden', she giggled.

'Rukia, why do you not stop them?' I asked in confusion.

The little girl grinned largely before grabbing my hand and yanking me to my feet. 'Cause, Ichi-kun was teaching me how to grass angels', she told me.

'Well okay then!' I giggled as she pulled me forward. I followed her quickly as she lead me towards the garden; when the sight of a castle larger than Kuchiki kingdom's entered my eyes I tensed.

Where am I?

In the distance I could see horses graving, one of them belonged to my mother and the rest were unknown. 'Rukia!' I heard as we got closer to the castle.

My eyes wandered back to the building made of white bricks, ivory vines wrapping around the structure and to the bedroom windows. A large garden with a steel gate entered my vision as we got closer, and many tree's covered with white flowers.

She opened the gate in a struggle and I helped her allowing the warm metal to touch my skin.

I watched the little girl run into the garden quickly causing me to chase after her quickly; when we came to a clearing where a group of children were playing and a woman in a pale-pink dress sat drinking fruit juice.

Slowly I walked over to her and noticed her large pregnant womb, her long auburn locks fluttering in the wind and pale flesh shimmering with the sun. She was mesmerizing. Her eyes rest on the two boys in the field playing with wooden swords, acting like they were knights.

Looking over I saw two boys. Both the same age, and similar… twins almost.

One lunged with the blade having it hit the other, his tanned skin glowed with a bright smile and dark black hair of night swirled with his steps. I froze when his bright aqua-green eyes looked up to the sun and burned with laughter.

'Kaien, play nice with your brother!' the woman called out to the boys making them stop. 'You too Jiro!'

'Hai, Mama!' first boy sang as he smiled over to the woman.

The second whined as he looked over to his brother with his bright golden eyes, pale skin and hair of white-blonde locks.

'But Mama, it is not fair! Kaien-nii is stronger!' Jiro pouted.

The large woman smiled as she stood and walked over to her sons, hand on her back to help her move. 'Then, why don't you play with your third brother. There is more than just Kaien to play with', she ruffled their hairs as she leaned down and kissed their foreheads.

'I know! But, Ichi-nii is no fun! He cheats!' he shouted.

'I do not!' a voice shouted from behind me.

Twirling slowly I looked over to the child speaking and froze.

Bright head of orange, amber eyes like the sun and skin kissed with sugar. I looked at the miniature blacksmith and looked over to the little girl that was me as a child.

She stuck to the boy like glue making him giggle and laugh before intertwining his fingers into her hands.

I wanted to back away but my body leaned forwards, and the voice of my mother was heard. 'You two shall make the best of royals, won't you?' she giggled.

Then I noticed in the glow of his eyes that I was in my mother shoes, seeing this day, everything that has happened my mother did and I was just a visitor.

'Hai!' he cheered before pulling Rukia closer and kissing her cheek. 'Rukia will be my queen and we will have lots and lots of babies! Like mama and papa!' he cheered making the girl blush brightly. 'And we will dance, and dance!' he cheered as he hugged her tighter and twirled her in his arms.

'Ichi-kun, stop it! It is embarrassing!' she squealed with a smile.

He smiled happily as his palm glowed black and hers white. 'I promise, just like you promised!' they placed their hands together making the black mix with white. 'We will be King and Queen, there is no one else but you and I, in each other's hearts'.

Mom leaned down to the two and poked their noses. 'Are you say that: you shall be my daughters first and only dance?'

I watched as the little boy looked over to Rukia, his eyes bright and sincere as he waited for her to reply with a jester. His big amber eyes grew as he looked into her violet eyes; when she blushed brightly before cuddling into his side, and looking up to her prince-charming.

Looking at the two gazing into each other's eyes brightly, they seemed happy and in love for two kids. Both of them smiled gently before resting on the other.

'Mama! Ichi-nii and Rukia-nee are being all lovey-dovey and gross!' Kaien cried causing everyone to look over at the two.

Both kids blushed brightly and turned away from each other.

'Nah uh!' they said in sync.

A chuckle left my lips and my mother's as we watched them. I never knew that I and Ichigo were really engaged childhood loves; that would explain why I felt so drawn to him. But, why don't I remember any of this?

I don't remember traveling to this land, meeting Ichigo or making theses promises. Ichigo's mother and brothers.

Why don't I remember?

A sharp pain bolted through my head as I thought about all these questions.

Dropping to my knees in pain I screamed in a frantic head rush. The images of all the happiness I once had, the hugs Ichigo gave me as a child, laughter I had with Jinro and Kaien, and with my mom.

All the lose memories seemed to spiral back into my mind as the magic lifted but, deep down I didn't know whether to believe such things or if this is just a dream; a crazy and wishful dream.

Falling to the ground I whimpered and cried in pain.

I could see the day I and Ichigo met; leaning over the window talking like forbidden lovers, the chemistry and spark that appeared instantly. His smile bright like the one that was on the child, eye brighter than the sun and handsome feature that I wished to love forever.

As I started to lose conciseness came to realization that this 'dream' might not be an act of my imagination, but the truth that I have been forced to forget because of my father.

Instantly I sat up, gasping for air as pain echoed through my skull, rippling my thoughts.

Clenching my head I hissed and looked over the room, there is no one around but the sweet smell of Ichigo swirled from my clothing and gave me peace. Then I heard voices coming from the hallway.

I took deep breaths and looked down to my lap. "I knew you…. And I loved you" I whispered. Thinking about the things I and Ichigo had been as children was something I didn't know how to explain. "I have fall in love with same person all over again…"I trailed off.

Lifting my violet shirt to my nose I inhaled his scent and thought about our kiss; his taste and movements, the thought sent me over the edge and back into a dazed excitement.

Slowly I stood from the futon and made my way to the door, as I slid the sheet open I cringed for the light that shined into my eyes, harming them slightly but they got used to it quickly.

Leaning on the wall I thought about everything with my memories, and I came out with a final question: If I couldn't remember for this long, who's to say that Ichigo remembers? What if he knew the whole time and didn't tell me because he didn't know how? Perhaps he feels the same. Maybe my feels aren't just fabled and can be fulfilled.

I grew excited when I thought of these things and stumbled towards the kitchen area.

"Ichigo is to marry the finest maiden in Soul Society: Orihime Inoue", I stopped in my steps for the news.

The sound of my throbbing mind was defeated by the shattering of my heart. Love from the past and now have been all shattered and broken….
