In death I had thought you would be gone,
The last little fading mist of my happiness.
Many would tell me that you will never be truly gone, you will always be in my heart waiting for me to cry for your winds and hear your whirling storm again.
Since your death I have wished on stars for you once again,
To feel your warm hands and motherly embrace.
You were going to teach me about this throbbing pain in my chest;
Tell me how to make it go away.
Help me forgot those words that he said.
Be there when father was confused or drowning in his crown….
Mother, I know we did not have much time together but you always thought about me.
The reaper took you to soon… but you managed to plan this out…
You knew before me… knew this
How did you know?
I didn't say anything to Ichigo; I don't know how or what to say. In his mind we could have only met a few nights ago, and who's to say that dream was real or not. I would like to think I and Ichigo were lovers in the past and my future is to be destined on that memory; but there isn't any evidence.
Glancing over to the blacksmith I noticed the sharp look that crafted his jawline and caused him to seem serious. There must be something deeper in his mind that is unsettling.
"Is something the matter, blacksmith?" I chirped from on top of my white steed.
We had left the little village and started off on our travels again, if we had stayed it gave my father and Aizen more ground to gain.
He shook his head roughly and sighed before laying a hand on his face. "No, nothing at all" he replied.
I remained silent as we rode along the path before turning my horse in front of Zangustu who stopped immediately. "Do not lie to me", I looked into the two bright eyes of the blacksmith as he tried to look away. "Perhaps you are troubled about going back to your village", I assumed tempted to tell him about my knowledge of his to-be-wife back in the village we were heading. I wanted to think that he was dreading his marriage and had grown to love someone new, perhaps me if anything, but it would be a long-shot of an arrow before that happens. So I thought.
"Maybe I am", I answered with a daring eye. "Perhaps there is someone whom I dread seeing in my village", he continued before patted Zangustu firmly. "But… what would someone of your stancher care? You royals are nothing but selfish people remember" he teased with a bold smile.
I rolled my violet eyes at the comment and turned Sode back to the trail to gallop ahead. "We spoke about this before, Ichigo" hearing the rough sound of his horse galloping beside mine caused me to look over. "Besides, I am not like most royals".
"I know", he muttered.
Silence fell again like a blanket and I looked around the forest.
The large rocks heading towards the mountains gates of Soul Society, large tree's taller than the castle back home, and a large stream running beside the path. I must admit, the landscape is quiet beautiful even though this is just the start of Soul's territory.
It would still be a matter of time until we reached the village, seeing as it is guarded by mountains filled with animals, criminals, and evil-whores.
Mother would tell me about the laws and territories of Soul Society, the reasoning for using a mountain as their shield and to discard the unwanted.
I would like to think that living in such a beautiful kingdom with mountains, rivers, forests and different races, that there would be barely any crime. Sadly there is many crimes in the large land: men raping women, knights turned to monsters by a mage whom have gone insane, several captains who wanted more than a little division but a kingdom. The king is an old man whose lived hundreds of years, battle more kingdoms than there is lands and strict as corpses.
Knowing the background and knowledge of Soul Society, I didn't have the mental concentration to deal with the issue of Ichigo being engaged or the aching of my heart; I needed to focus on the main mission: gaining my kingdom back and getting my crown back.
If Ichigo isn't going to be focused than I'll have to help him through his issues; he's my main ticket into the kingdom, see as they don't allow visitors or want any for that matter.
They seem to have the idea of a visitor entering and murdering all the royals who come for closer; all those royals who have fallen to the hands of another kingdom like Kuchiki Kingdom.
"I care Ichigo", I told the blacksmith to try and open his heart.
A blush covered his cheeks as he looked into my bright eyes glistening with curiosity and warmth. "There is someone whom I do not wish to face in my village", he started. "She is expecting me to come back and love her like she loves me, but I cannot, due to circumstances I cannot be with her. Also, she is not the woman whom I love", he said with a distant voice.
"This woman, did you feel the same for her before these circumstances?" I may not be experienced with men but, I am skilled when it comes to female emotions. Being a woman of my status where: you cannot show weakness, sorrow, stress or the burden of your heart; there are many things you can relate to: A broken heart or seeing the man you love marry someone else.
Since the beginning of this journey I have seen the different emotions that haunt my heart, but had to push them to the side for the sake of my land. I need to be a princess and soon a queen, not a love struck puppy whom is falling deeper for a man I could never have.
"No, I have never been attracted to the women in the kingdom. I find there is something inside of me that does not wish for me to be with them. Like there is someone whom I am destined to be with—"such words made my heart skip a beat and stomach flutter.
"Have you found this person of destiny, blacksmith?" I cut in.
'I am looking at her….' I heard his thoughts whisper in my ear.
Holding my breath I looked at the blacksmith with surprise, such thoughts made me feel light and happy with no reasoning.
Ichigo leaned back on his steed and looked to the bright pink sky as the sun began to kiss the ground. "I believe we have met before. Somewhere I cannot remember, nor do you. I feel as though we were destined to be with each other, Princess" a blush covered my cheek as I sharply stared towards the bank of the river. "When I try to remember there is nothing but pain and hurtful memories of blankness. I believe… you and I were supposed to be more than just thi—"
"Do not speak such fables", I snapped. "There is no possible way you and I could be" turning Sode back to the road I tapped her sides making her run quickly ahead.
Why did he have to say that?
I was content with letting my feelings die, suffer as he married the woman he loves. But this confession makes me wonder: whether he loves her, is forced to marry this maiden or if he's toying me like a cat to a mouse.
Feeling fooled I closed my eyes, that's when the image of my father came to the blackness and Sode stopped.
Blinking I looked down to the white beauty as she looked over to the right of me.
There stood a large beast crouched down as it feasts on a rotting deer. I covered my mouth and nose as the rancid smell graved my nostrils. Rotting meat, feces, disease and horror is all the air danced with as I stared at the beast.
Pulling the ropes tightly, I attempted to move my horse back towards the direction we had ran; where Ichigo is still wandering.
Quivering in fear I tightly closed my eyes as the hunched back anim—person…thing looked forward into the bush and listened to the air with large ears like an elf.
Slowing rising to its feet, I noticed the structure it had, it looked like a large man with thick arms, shoulders and neck. Instead of peached skin there is slick black covering every inch of him, it looks like he rolled in oils. Hands dragging the dirt under him, nails longer than a blade covered in the scarlet blood of the deer and palms that could kill with a single slap.
I held back a scream as its snake like hair swirled with his head as he turned around to look into my violet orbs.
Screams of villagers entered my ears as images of the creature ripping people open covered my eyes. Women running with their children, holding his/her hand tight enough to rip the toddlers hand out of its wrist. A tug with be felt and they would keep running until the parent would stumble and notice they were only hold the hand of their dead child.
Looking down to my hands I saw a child's hand, fingers chubby and twitching as the last sign of dreading life. Slowly the hand morphed in hands I love, the hands of Ichigo.
I felt a force tackle me off Sode and pinned me to the ground.
Trying to prepare myself for the terrifying eyes of the beast, I tightly squeezed mine together and held my breath as I felt it come closer.
"Rukia" was whispered in my ear.
The sweet voice of the blacksmith caused me to gasp and open my eyes to meet two amber suns. "I-Ichigo…"stuttering at the sudden appearance of the man, I grasped his form and looked over his shoulder.
The deer had vanished, creature turned into ash and the embrace of the blacksmith tightened. My hands gripped the blacksmith as the thought of his dead hand came into though; it frightened me more than my father or Aizen.
I think I've found my weakness: Ichigo.
Inhaling my favored smell of the blacksmith I noticed the deathly scent that covered the man hold me, then the touch of a wet tongue covered my neck and I noticed the ice covering my hands as I held the imposter.
This isn't the blacksmith…. This is the beast.
"You are not Ichigo", I growled as I pushed the beast away from my body.
"What are you talking about? Rukia, it is I, Ichigo" it kept its hold on my frame as he pulled back away from our embrace. "Do you not remember? I am the blacksmith" looking at me with the comforting eyes of the blacksmith he sharpened them as Ichigo would.
It looked, acted and sounds like Ichigo but it isn't. If it were my abilities wouldn't try to freeze him, he would warmer and smell like heaven not death.
"Who are you to wed then?" I asked.
He tilted his head to the side while looking into my eyes, they weren't the same as the man I love, and they weren't crowded with worry, hope or comfort but with mystery and hell.
I should have known it wasn't Ichigo but I wanted to be sure, and hear the words come from his mouth for the answer I dread dearly.
"You", he told me. "We are to wed".
My hands glowed brightly as I looked deeply into his eyes, there I noticed the rotting green look slowly taking over the amber.
A scream left my lips when the being pinned me down and its long tongue swag in the air like a branch. Its facial features turned into a rotten skin, where those bright amber eyes turned into dripping death and he laughed evilly.
"Such a sweet smell!"it whispered as it inhaled my scent. "It's too bad that the man you love is not here to save you, and you will be my dinner with a broken heart"laughter of my sorrow left its lips as the creature lingered over my face, and its green eyes stared into my soul. "You and this Ichigo were to be married when children, but he forgot all about you over the years, and you were left to watch him marry someone else," breathe like onions and tone of a demon.
Long nails graced my cheek as it looked down at my pale skin. "For such a beautiful woman like yourself to be broken hearted is a shame. Just think of your death as a blessing: you will never see him wed someone else, live in dread and know he will never be yours".
As the large nails came to my neck I braced for death, I didn't know what to do or how to kill this thing. It looked too much like the blacksmith, I can't kill him!
Waiting for death I stared into the darkness, wondering when life was going to leave me and I would be with my mother. It would be nice to be with her once again and be happy.
"Get out her!" I heard as a horse stopped suddenly.
A blade quickly sang through the air and the beast screamed before releasing me.
For the sudden release I opened my eyes to see Ichigo battling the beast with his giant blade. He spun as he tried to kill the beast, but the blade didn't affect him, it was almost like the creature was immune to Ichigo's attacks.
I watched as the two battled and the demon screamed with excitement as Ichigo stabbed him in the abdomen but nothing happened.
The blacksmith looked over to me before blinking. "You touched it?" I barely heard before Ichigo was thrown with great force against a tree, almost breaking the large bark.
"At least you two will be together in death and the poor princess won't die a broken heart. She will have her wish to be with you forever" the beast laughed as it stabbed Ichigo in the stomach with its large nails.
"NO!" I screamed.
In a blur I grabbed the large bag on the side of Sode which Uarhara had given to me before we left. Opening the brown sack a hilt of white glowed with my hand and a blade of pure ice shot to the sky as I charged.
The blacksmith coughed as blood trickled down his lips. As my blade came down on the arm of the creature it pulled out its nails and licked the warm blood like a tease.
I panted as I watched the black arm squirm on the ground and screams of horror left the blood covered lips of the beast. Quickly I went to Ichigo's side, hands shaky and breath hitched as I looked over the wondrous man.
"Blacksmith…" I squeaked as I held his cheeks, no reply came and I grew desperate. "Ichigo!" I shouted and he weakly looked into my eyes.
His breath was labored when he placed a hand on my cheek allowing his blood to color my white flesh. "You need to kill it…. Only you can" he choked as his eyes looked over to the beast.
"W-What about you? I cannot allow you to die" I cried.
He smiled weakly before shaking his head. "There are other ways to get into Sou—"he tried.
"It is not just that!" I interrupted. Searching is dying eyes and felt my own covering with tears. "I-I-I love you! I love you, peasant" I yelled.
Plunging myself into his chest I cried shamefully, and his hand dropped from my body.
Hearing his heart grow weak I straddled his hips and brought the icy blade to my wrist. "I will not let you die" I whispered as I cut my flesh and placed the dripping blood against his lips. "Drink….drink" I pleaded as the blood ran through his throat.
As the cut healed on my body I watched as his breath came back and the wounds began to quickly heal.
When the sound of the creature getting ready to streak entered the air, I grabbed my blade and felt all emotions drain before turning around and meeting the green eyes with a bright iced smile. Eyes of pure white and skin of snow.
"This shall be fun~" I laughed before standing and walking towards the creature.
"You are….are—"it stuttered.
"Are? Are?" I mocked. "I am Kuchiki Rukia. The princess of Kuchiki kingdom".
Blinking awake I looked around slowly, taking in the sight of blood splattered over the forest and black limbs dangling throughout the branches.
Remembering the creature that had disgusted like Ichigo I gasped and scurried back to a tree, worried about where it was or if it was around me. When I didn't hear any sign of the beast I hesitantly looked behind the tree, that's when the sight of Ichigo covered my orbs.
I ran over to the blacksmith laying in the same spot as before, and noticed all his wounds were healed.
Memories of giving him my blood filled my thoughts as I looked at the sleeping man, and turned to the scarlet murder scene behind me. I had no memory of defeating the beast but seeing as the limbs and parts are throughout the forest, it seems as though my abilities took the best of me after reviving the blacksmith.
Quickly my hands tore over his body looking for any injury, just in case my blood didn't work, but there was nothing: no scratch or bruise on his body.
Relieved I hugged his sleeping body and listened to his strong heart beating like a drum. When my hands rested on his back I felt a pinch of pain as memories of the garden scene played in my head, the same memory I had experienced at the Magic Shop.
Pulling away from Ichigo I gasped sharply, not sure if this was a sign of his memory returning or just my blood affecting the way I see his past.
Unsure I stared at the man in front of me.
Staring at his handsome features I noticed the black mist swirling from his hands and pursed my lips together tightly. Recalling the action we had done in the memories, I looked down to my palm and noticed the bright white glow shimmering to touch him.
I wanted to touch him again and feel the sensation of our souls blending together like they had when we were children. Such a desire seemed forbidden, causing me to shake my head and forget the thought that was circling my brain.
Carefully I lifted the blacksmith and carried him towards the horses where I started to struggle with his weight.
Thankfully the two steeds had seen the struggle and moved close together for me to get him on their backs, like he had done for me several times before.
Tying the ropes together I pulled the wool blanket over the blacksmith and touched his sleeping face before guiding the horses further up the path.
~flashback~
In the Kuchiki Kingdom the two women of royalty sat at a round table, both staring at each other while sipping tea and enjoy the others company.
Rukia looked at her mother with big eyes when she sighed and pulled out a large brown book of their bloodline. Watching the queen flip through the pages she stared curiously, and leaned forward to see what she was looking for.
"Rukia", Hisana started as she stopped flipping and looked at her daughter. "There is something that I must share with you".
Her daughter nodded with her eyes focused on the woman in front of her. "Hai mama".
Slowly she dragged a blade over her palm letting her royal blood pool over the blank page. The red drew over the page creating a tree of the past. Several leaves marking the images of royals she knew, like her grandmother and grandfather. When the image of her mother and father appeared she searched for the picture of herself; but there was nothing.
"Mama…where is my picture?" she asked slowly.
The queen looked over her daughter and took her hand. Placing the blade to her daughters' wrist she pursed her lips and sliced the flesh letting the sticky liquid drip onto the page. "There is a secret tree to our blood, one which many people are not to know of or what they can do. Rukia, my wonderful daughter, this book has magic, magic in which marks the special from the extraordinary", Hisana explained as blood ran over the other leaves and many branches appeared. There were images of women and men whom linked off the Kings and Queens before, many whom the kingdom didn't know about.
Rukia's eyes looked at the branch linked to her grandparents and her mother, as her blood turned to ice a new leaf appeared next to her mother marking: "sister". "You have a sister, mama?" she questioned the queen.
Hisana pulled away from her daughter and looked to the other side of the dark room covered with candle light. She smiled weakly as the thoughts of her twin flash through her mind. "Her name is Yuki", she started. "We are twins but there is something about her your grandfather and grandmother needed to keep a secret when it came to her. She had abilities, like you, but different" turning her glaze onto her daughter she took her hands and squeezed them allowing the memories of a woman with long raven hair swirling with curls, eyes painted with greens and lips pink as petals. She took on the top of a mountain, long cloak on her back as she looked over the land and the kingdom in the distance.
The princess felt a connection with the woman as she looked over the world, and noticed a black marking on her neck as the wind blew her cloak to the side. Shaped like a flame but enough to be known as a water droplet; the similarity was the sun like mark on her hip that burned once-in-awhile and appeared sometimes but not often.
"Your Aunt, she lives in the mountains of District 13 of Soul society, high in the mountains, unknown to the villagers and living off of nature", Hisana told her as thoughts covered her daughters eyes.
The woman turned when she heard a chirp from a bird that perched on her shoulder, singing its beautiful song she smiled and looked over the woods. A man dressed in tattered clothing hobbled up the mountain side, barely holding onto life as an arrow pierced his chest.
He stopped in front of the woman, and coughed her name. She sprinted to his side, ripping the arrow from his chest allowing the blood to pool out of his wound.
Yuki screamed his names as he began to vanish into nothing but a corpse, but the love in her eyes grew as she looked at the man. Quickly she took the edge of the arrow and cut her wrist. Chanting a language unknown to mages, she poured her blood into his throat having him cough several times as he drank.
In seconds his wounds began to heal and his heart grew steady. Her lover was saved.
Rukia gasped as she tore her hands from her mother, and looked fearfully over the room, tossing her hair around and stuttering in her seat. Her cold touch gripped the fabric turning it to ice, and slowly making it shattered. "S-S-She healed h—"she tried but her mother shook her head.
"Not just healed her lover, but brought him back to life" she corrected the young girl.
Panting for sanity Rukia shook her head and looked down to the tree of blood. "That is impossible! Such magic is unknown- not even witches can use that magic" she shouted. "That must be demonic or something evil—"
"Rukia" her mother sternly snapped. "Your Aunt is not a devil-lover. People in our family have been known for this ability, those who are able to do such a thing are hidden and not added to the tree; that is the reason you did not appear with my blood. Your blood is stronger, greater than mine or grandma's, you are something different and extraordinary", like a proud mother she looked to the heavens nearly praising god.
"I cannot do such a thing—", the princess tried.
"Nonsense. You can, you have the marking of someone on your skin. The lords and elements have chosen as someone's soul-mate. Bound by a red thread of life. This red thread binds you to their soul, their life-line and future. Only can such power be used on someone", the queen seemed eager to tell her daughter more and spill the wondrous world hidden by magic of the royals, but it seemed to frighten the little girl.
"But—"Rukia stuttered as she looked into her mothers' eyes.
"Rukia, this is the reason your abilities rebel others. The blood coursing through your veins is strengthening for the day you must be with your soul-mate, bound by markings and in the heat of battle. That is why you must find him" she explained. "If you do not then there is a chance he will die on the field, and your tread will break. Once the thread breaks… you break".
"How can I break?"
Her mother pointed to a man in the tree, he stood tall and proud with his short but sharp hair and water like eyes. "Your great-cousin Kenji was a master of water, he could do anything with the element. His soul-mate Mei was a sick woman, one who could control the element of spirit. One day, she had fallen ill in the village and Kenji went to visit her, when he arrived she was on the end of her thread, dangling like a lost string", she looked down sadly at her cousin and sighed deeply. "He used his blood to save her and doctors', nurses and other patience saw. They reports the magic to the kingdom and, they killed his mate. Once Mei was dead his sanity left his soul and he went on a kill spree. Drowning everyone in sight, burning them in hot water, turning them to prunes, anything you can think of. There was no stopping him, until his mother came and had to…. Kill her son, putting him out of his misery".
Slightly shocked the princess looked down at her palms, she knew of the monster that lurked her blood, the one that would come out during battle and push her to the side. If she lost that thread, there would be no stopping the beast and death would come to everyone in her path. Was this the demonic side to this magic? Or just a limitation to make them less perfect and unstoppable.
"What happens if I give my blood to someone who's not my soul mate?" she questioned.
Hisana tapped on an elder woman with her grey hair in a bun, she smiled kindly in the image. "That is your Great-Aunt Tokua. She could manipulate weather with a single glance; she lived with her mother, brother, sister, husband and two children. One day her daughter grew deathly ill, and there was no hope for her. When she used her blood the little girl took without questioning and began to heal. Then her best-friend got sick, she did the same thing but the blood did not do anything, it only made things worse".
"What are you saying?"
"I am saying: your ability to heal your soul-mate is only for the ones' who have both yours and his blood in their veins". Hisana shortened. "If you were to give your father or I blood, our injuries would only worsen and we would feel like we are choking but on your blood".
Her blood can only heal the one on the other end of the thread, the man she is meant to be with. If she were to use it on someone else, it would be their death and choking struggle for life. "That makes me someone's healer? How can I find this person?"
"Rukia, you do not find him, he will find you" her mother sternly told her before looking into her daughters' eyes. "He will find you and when he does things will happen, memories remembered and feelings burning brighter than a flame…. Even in the mist of doubt, you cannot give up on him and must believe in him".
"What if he does not like me, or I do not like him?"
"That is fable, you two are meant for each other. But, just remember my daughter, if you use it on someone else they will get worse and die. There are moments that you may think the blood is working but, in a matter of waking they will bleed out" Hisana told her. "Do not use this ability out of hope, only when you are certain".
~flash back~
I eyed the blacksmith sleeping on the ground with a wool blanket over him before staring at the fire in front of me.
Since the battle with the beast I had traveled further to Soul Society with Ichigo on the horses backs'. Once night started to fall I had found an area to make camp. There was a water-fall covered with tree's changing color and swallowing the beautiful water flow from the eye of others.
The full-moon sang off the water-hues of the fall, and caused the tree's to glow bright. I looked at the pool of water splashing with life and then to the blacksmith. 'I should clean him off while he sleeps', I thought.
Taking the bucket in hand I went to the water and scooped up the liquid that sparkled brightly in my eyes, and went to Ichigo's side.
Kneeling down beside him I watched as his chest rise and fall, before reaching for his shirt and unbuttoning the plastic buttons slowly. As I did, the sight of his perfect chest turned my eyes to large ovals, and the red dried blood cracked in my vision. I have never really seen Ichigo up-close and shirtless, in the forest I had looked away and tried to avoid staring, but now I couldn't help but stare in amazement.
Bumps of muscle from his days' of being a solider and training hard with his massive blade had given him a wondrous torso. There are scares here-and-there from previous battles that were slowly vanishing because of my blood. Heat echoed my hands as I placed the water on the blood and started to wash away the thick mess. As the scarlet blood began to vanish I noticed something on his hip, a marking in black.
Thinking the mark was nothing but dirt I started to scrub the area but it wouldn't leave, then curiosity came to my presence and the thoughts of my mother entered my mind. Slowing I began to move his pants to see the marking.
Placing the cloth back into the water I slowly crept closer to the marking, and pulled the fabric lower trying to see what was hiding under his clothing. When I noticed muscles tingling by my touch I blushed heavily but continued.
The mark started to form with a tip of a snowflake colored in black, and something else showing at the side, it looked like old-Japanese writing, just like the one on my side.
As I was about to see the whole marking a hand grabbed my wrist and I was pushed to the ground.
Pinned to the ground by my wrist I struggled to break-free but he was too heavy and strong. "What do you think you are doing?" he growled in my ear.
I held my breath and looked up to meet the eyes of Ichigo, they burned bright like the stars and glowed inhumanly. "Ichigo", I whispered as a black smoke started to come from hid back.
Maybe I'm he isn't my thread and I just made the injury worse, perhaps this is him dying. "Why were you trying to look at my mark?" he questioned as the mist began to vanish.
He was only startled and went on defense when he felt me touch him so far down. "What is that mark?" I asked right back.
Looking away slightly his eyes went back to normal and he looked down at my abdomen, that's when he noticed the slight top of the sun marking on my side. Immediately he went to see the mark by pulling on my clothing but I kicked him away and pushed him away.
"You have one too!" he shouted as I scouted away from him. "What shape is it?" he demanded.
"It is none of your bus—"I tried.
"I believe it is, since you just healed me with your blood", shock covered my soul as I looked at the blacksmith. How did he know about that?
"How do you know about the blood thread?" I asked.
"My farther told me about the thread when I was a child, when we used to play together and I made that promise", he looked at me sharply. "Was that a dream?"
I blinked quickly as the confusion covered his eyes. "You remember?" I crept closer to him on my hands and knees.
"We were to marry and—"I embraced him tightly at the news. He remembered us, the past we have. "R-Rukia" he stuttered.
"You remembered", I whispered into his neck as he slowly wrapped his arms around me. "It was not a dream", I continued. "I forgot too, we both forgot. I do not know how but…. We did".
He tightened his hold on me and squeezed my frame tightly as I inhaled his scent, slowly dragging me back to the past when we were kids, the past we were made to forget.
"I love you", I pulled back from his shoulder and looked into his eyes as the words echoed my ears. "I have loved you since we were ki—"I stopped him with my lips.
He didn't kiss me back for a moment but soon reacted and began to move with my lips, slowly growing daring with ever kiss. I felt his hand cup my cheek as he brought me closer.
We parted with rosy lips and stared into each-others' eyes. "I love you too", I whispered into the night.
That night I went to sleep with Ichigo, in his arms and listening to his beating heart.
If it weren't for my mother telling me about the secret Kuchiki thread tree, and the blood, I would have never had this moment. Ichigo would be dead and I would have went insane.
I think my mother thought this through, she thought about everything before she passed away, even the weapon Urahara gave me.
Remembering the hilt I looked to my side and noticed a piece of paper on the side of the pure white hilt. The sparkling diamonds shimmered in the direction and of the note.
Pulling the paper out of the hilt I slowly unfolded the sheet and noticed the writing of my mother:
Dear Rukia,
I know our time was short and there are things I should have taught, there are many things. But, I have managed to show you the things that will help you in the future, hopefully help you fix the mistake I had made in my life.
This weapon is something that can be used by you and your thread love, you two are like: Ying and yang.
Even if I am not there to help you through the future, I know this boy will be there and will find you, it is something he has done before. Before your father became the way he is, and forced you both to forget something so dear.
My little girl, you have grown into a woman and soon there will come a time you will have to become a woman of the throne; you can either chose the crown or let the land go to hell. It most likely has since your father has been taken by the thoughts of his head-knight.
We will meet once again, and you will never know….
Till that time, I need you to trust this boy, the lost prince of District 0.
Love your mother, Kuchiki Hisana
