Kagome was in the girls' locker room bawling her eyes out. She just found out that if her powers do not develop by the end of the current school year, she will have to go to a different school; a 'normal' school. She never minded normal school especially because she did make friends.

"Who is in here?" Sango's voice demanded. Startled, Kagome put her hands over her mouth and pulled her feet up to her chest so that she could remain hidden from her best friend. The tears continued to flow from her face and showed no signs of stopping anytime soon.

"Is anyone in here or am I just hearing things?" Sango wondered out loud to herself. I know that's Kagome in the stall but if she is trying to hide from me, then as her best friend I must respect her privacy. Sango saw Kagome's bright colored shoes before she could hide them, but Sango had some processing to do about what had happened in class before she could try and console her friend. Sango walked out of the girl's locker room only to be welcomed by a cold stare.

" Lady Kikyo, what do I owe this pleasure?" She asked the woman standing before her. To a stranger's eye they would think that Kikyo and Kagome were twins because they look almost identical to each other except that Kikyo was the head priestess at the school. People have been speculating for years now that Kikyo made Kagome so that if anything happens to Kikyo, there is an identical version of her to take over her old responsibilities.

"Well I wanted to commend you for your spar earlier with Koga of the Wolf Demon pack." Kikyo said blankly. Kikyo was notoriously known around the school for being a blank slate with little emotion. She used to be a warm, kindhearted soul that once graced the halls of the school. After her mission to protect the Shikon jewel went horrible, she self exiled herself for ten years. She just randomly showed back up at the school one day and no one has seen her show any real emotion since.

"Well that you very much, why were you watching? This is not the priestess side of the school." Kikyo just shook her head no as to tell Sango that she was not going to give her an answer. As Kikyo turned to leave Sango noticed Kagome poke her head out of the door to the girl's bathroom. Sango could see that Kagome had been crying because her eyes were swollen, and red. Kagome noticed Kikyo and slammed the door shut as to avoid her.

"Kagome, you might want to start finding other options unless you accept my help unlocking your powers." Kikyo said as she walked around the corner of the corridor. Sango could hear Kagome wailing right behind the door and whipped it open to see her best friend sobbing on the ground like toddler.

"Get your ass up right now and tell me what is going on." Ripping Kagome off her butt onto her feat was an easy task for the demon slayer. "I heard you in there earlier but I did not want to ask you, but after that spectacle with Lady Kikyo I am curious as to why you have been lying to us about your powers." Sango asked while the sheepish Kagome tried to avoid eye contact with her best friend.

"You heard it all Sango. My powers are not in yet so I have to do what everyone else who is 'normal' and find a different school after this year." Kagome said putting quotations around normal with her fingers as she said it. "Kikyo has offered to tutor me but what if it's no use? What if I go through all this training only to find out that I am not a priestess?" Tears started to well up in her eyes. Sango just held her hands friend and let her cry her tears. After Kagome was done she wiped her tears. A loud whistle in the distance told the girls that class was done and the locker room would soon be flooded with curious classmates, and Kagome wanted to hide.
