Chapter 7: A New Family

"I can't…"

The sensation of silence and the air of hostility crawled across his skin as he felt his heart pounding relentlessly within him as he heard it thrumming wildly in his ears as sharp emerald-green eyes looked to the brown-haired, olive-eyed boy standing above them all with a sinister smile upon his features. The boy whom he had grown to call a friend looked nothing like he once had and the notion was somewhat chilling. Yoichi's gentle olive-green eyes were hard, and wicked, his energy was vile and the horns upon his head only added to the sense of disdain and fear.

Yuuichiro only stared onward at the form of the once shy and oddly quiet boy that had turned into something ghastly. The fifteen-year-old had never truthfully considered becoming concerned for someone unless they were family; but for some reason, Saotome Yoichi had gained a place in his heart as both a friend and as family – much like the other had in recent weeks – however, the notion of his orders to kill his friend that had come from Guren had shook something inside him to the core.

Every fiber of his being told him that this wasn't right; and all of them knew that. Mikaela, Shinoa, Kimizuki, and even Guren himself knew that the orders he'd given them weren't right. As the thoughts of how to avoid the dire situation entered his mind; he tried his best to discover what he could do to change his friend's fate. A sinister laugh rang through the area and the black-haired boy felt his body still, his entire being bristling in agitation.

"Yuu!" emerald eyes looked to Shinoa who had a concerned expression upon her face as she read the emotions within his eyes.

"I can't…." Mika turned to his brother in surprise.

"We can't just stand here though! Kimizuki will be killed if we do. Yuu…I don't know if you want that or not, but…." The blonde stated this to him but Yuuichiro shook his head.

"No, it's not that Mika…I can't kill Yoichi! I just…I won't do it." Shinoa bit her lip as the older of the two looked to his brother.

"If we don't fight then we can't begin to help him," Mika stated.

"I know, I….."

"Are you going to fight? Or did you just come to play around with Cursed Gear, Yuuichiro?" emerald eyes narrowed into a seething glare as they turned towards Guren.

"I don't care what you have to say you heartless bastard! You're willing to make us kill of someone we care for just because you don't think we can fight for them? Don't insult us!" he snapped.

"Don't you dare disobey me orders, got it brat?" Guren's statement caused Yuuichiro to glower at him as he stared at the boy.

"No! I won't kill one of my allies! I'm not going to do it! I don't care what you say!" Guren walked forward, removing his glove as he did so.

A resounding smack had the others turning to stare as Kimizuki landed not far from them and looked to see what had happened. Yuuichiro was standing still, his head turned, bangs hiding his eyes as Guren shook his hand out and tugged his glove back on. It was evident that the Lieutenant Colonel had slapped the boy across the face; however, all of them felt the sudden flare of aggression that had risen from Mika who shot the man a glare worthy of a demon, and spoke levels of what he desired to do to him.

Guren took in a deep breath, his stoic act remaining intact while deep within he felt a small wince desire to rise in the face of both Mikaela's vicious glower that seemed to freeze the air around him, and the strange stillness from Yuuichiro. It was evident that Mika would be seeking revenge, planning on making him suffer for even daring to lay a hand on his brother in such a manner; however, Guren was considering more on what the black-haired boy would do at the moment. During the last four years, Guren had never struck either of the two boys due more so to a personal promise than anything else, nonetheless, the situation called for being harsher than he normally would be.

It was as he continued to stare at the black-haired boy though, that his gaze finally turned to him. Glowing, and sharp electric-green eyes locked onto him, pupils reduced to a feline state and sharpened teeth prominent as the boy bared them in a threatening manner. When he'd slapped the boy, he'd intended on knocking some sense into him, rationalizing with him; however, Guren had realized, just a fraction to late, that he had initiated one of the boy's gifts, causing it to rear its head in a less than pleasant time.

"Shit! If he loses control right now, we're royally fucked," Guren thought as Mika kept his gaze on his brother now that he'd started to react.

"Yuu?" Shinoa muttered as the boy turned his gaze away from the Lieutenant Colonel, and walked forward. His hand moving towards his sword, causing the others to become guarded as the demon possessed Yoichi cackled.

"Oh! That one's going to move? What will happen now I wonder… none of the others are willing to touch me because of the body I'm in… interesting…" Kimizuki looked at the black-haired boy.

"Hyakuya, don't approach him! You're not yourself right now, come on, back up and…"

"Can it you, egotistical smart-ass, I don't have time for you right now!" electric-green turned to the pink-haired youth who felt himself clam up at that while the others tensed.

"Guren, what's going on?" Mika asked as he braced himself, preparing to attack or defend if needs be.

"I pissed off your brother, and now he's acting on instinct… this is going to be interesting… seeing as one of his gifts is active." The blonde gaped before glaring.

"You, sorry son of a – "Guren shook his head.

"Bless me out later, right now, we have bigger problems on our hands," he stated.

Sapphire-blue eyes turned back towards Yuuichiro as he continued to stare at the possessed boy who had become their friend over the last couple weeks and felt anxiety begin to seep into his body. Could either of them do this? Could they kill their friend? Kimizuki seemed to think that they had no choice, as did Guren; however, he wasn't certain himself. A sudden sliding of metal drew his mind away from his thoughts as he saw Yuuichiro draw his sword, the blade glowing a sharp green as wind of a blackened shade whipped around him, startling him just a fraction as he locked eyes with his possessed friend.

"Yoichi…" the demon laughed.

"Are you going to kill me child? Even if I am in this body? How cold!" the Demon stated.

"No…" Guren and the others stared.

"Are you insane! That thing is…"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Mika's voice startled them as the blonde tightened his grip upon Fenrir, his sudden doubt vanishing as he took in a deep breath. He read the intentions of his brother loud and clear, and intended to see it through to the end, no matter what.

"So, you aren't going to use that Cursed Gear to end my existence? What a pity, I guess I'll have to kill you," it said as it drew an arrow back and Yuuichiro took in a steady breath.

"I am not going to kill you… but… I'll be damned if I let a Demon win. I am bringing you back to reality Yoichi… and I am not stopping… NOT UNTIL YOU WAKE UP!"

The black-haired boy jumped up, the Demon loosing the arrow before he turned, using gravity to his advantage to twist himself out of the way of the arrow, knocking it off course and destroying it with his blade before he used one of the statues as a means to propel himself forward as Mika shook himself out and drew his own sword, casting the sheath aside as a wave of icy air was let loose and the blade shined a brilliant frost-blue shade before he raced forward with Kimizuki right by him, the two going in to help Yuuichiro regardless of the outcome. The blonde silently thanked the pink-haired teenager who shook his head as they jumped up, falling into place with Yuuichiro as the demon fired arrows relentlessly at them, causing them to fall back and lash out with a series of attacks.

Guren watched as flashes of brilliant greens, yellow-greens, and icy-blues went off alongside the sharp ringing of metal clashing while the four boys battled. His attention changed between Kimizuki, Mika, and Yoichi before turning towards Yuuichiro whose gift was still very much active, and had increased his strength, speed, and dexterity and hoped that the boy could get a grasp on it enough to help his comrades. A sudden blast shook the area and Shinoa tensed, a breath of panic rushing out of her lips as she saw the black-haired boy be slammed backwards by the blast, only for her fear to ease a moment later as the boy flipped mid-air and landed in a crouch, Mika and Kimizuki landing not far from them as the Demon laughed once more.

If Shinoa were to be honest with herself, she was becoming more and more anxious the longer the battle went on. The three of them were being bested by their possessed friend; however, Yuu, Mika, and Kimizuki seemed unwavering in their choice to fight Yoichi instead of killing him. The sudden change made her have some hope that if they were working together, they could accomplish this goal, but she also knew not to be to hopeful. Yoichi jumped down from the rafters, landing in a crouch not far from the spot where he had awoken, and her tangerine gaze turned to the others who staggered to their feet.

How could they save him? Possessions were nigh impossible to break when they were as deeply rooted as this one was. They were starting to wear down against the Demon's power, and while Yuuichiro had his Gift active, he wasn't used to it and knew very little on how to control it, therefore, it wasn't going to help him enough to stop this from becoming a tragedy. Kimizuki took in a series of deep breaths, his body aching from the hits while Mika started to stand up again, pain evident in his shoulder from the brunt smack he'd taken from the bow as Yuuichiro got to his feet and turned his hardened gaze towards the Demon, displaying an unending will to save his friend's life.

Electric-green eyes glanced towards Yoichi, contemplating how to save him. The Demon wanted to fight and soon would grow bored and desire to pick them off, leaving Guren to possibly come in and kill the host body. It wanted entertainment, that much Yuuichiro could pinpoint. The monster that had taken his friend wanted to have some fun, and was incredibly sure of itself. Therefore, as he stared, the black-haired boy began to concoct a plan and took in a steadying breath before smiling as he stood straight and began to drag the blade of Asuramaru across the ground, leaving a deep groove along the stone. The Demon bristled as he got closer and then locked his gaze with it.

"What exactly are you? Hehe… I can sense this energy falling off of you… it feels kind of strange… I've never felt this much power from a singular human being before… it's kind of exciting," it said as Yuuichiro continued to watch him, never once removing his gaze from the creature. The Demon sounded giddy, and when he retained his stance and kept his eyes on it, the monster continued to laugh, which was exactly what he desired.

"Hey, listen, I want you to hand Yoichi's body back over to him." The others stared at him, dumbfounded.

"You idiot! He's not going to listen too – " the Demon hummed.

"Why? He's weak, pathetic even! Why would you care about someone like him?" electric-green eyes softened just a fraction and the creature frowned.

"Because, he's my friend… he's part of my family, and I don't let someone or something hurt my family without paying for it," he stated.

"And what will you do? Slay me to free him? Then you're going to hurt him! You'll be the one who killed him! Not me!" it laughed, mocking him as Mika and the others tensed, preparing for the fight coming.

"No, I won't say you… instead… "the boy held his blade up, and moved it back, the blade bracing against his arm and nearly curving back far enough to touch his head.

"What? You'll do what?! I didn't hear you! You mortals sure are –"a flare of green fire rose from nothingness.

"Lend me your strength, Asuramaru!"

A whirl of black wind and emerald fire tore through the area, knocking the others back a step as he held the blade straight out to his left, a steadying breath leaving him as a curving mark of violet appeared upon his face in a tribal style. The weapon glowed brilliantly, fire pluming from it and around it's wielder alongside the shadowy winds while Yuuichiro remained calm in the face of the raw power of his weapon, the air ruffling his hair and clothing a fraction as he moved into a position to strike.

"W-What the hell are you? That kind of power…" the black haired boy jumped forward, sending a wave of the power of his weapon crashing into the Demon who howled in agony as Yuuichiro landed in a crouch, taking in a steady breath while Guren and Shinoa gaped.

"I knew they'd get a handle on their powers with their weapons quickly… it's to be expected seeing as they have a contract, anyone can manifest the power of their demons this early, just by calling upon their names… manifesting the demon itself is another story though… it'll take a while yet for that…" Guren thought as the black-haired boy braced his sword as Mika began to get the idea of what his brother was doing.

"Okay… lend me your power, Fenrir!" a wave of ice and ash erupted from the blue-tinged blade, causing Mika to grit his teeth a bit as he swung the sword outwards, lashing the Demon with yet another attack as the Yuuichiro sent another one at the creature who once more howled in pain.

"They better be careful, those attacks aren't controlled enough to – " Guren laughed at Shinoa's worry.

"Don't be so concerned, my children were taught to do this early on. I gave them enough training to at least steer the attacks in the right direction… they will need more practice though," he stated as the periwinkle-haired girl frowned.

"You could have said something sooner! It's still a big risk though! If they don't watch what they're doing they'll…" a barrage of arrows sailed through the air and Kimizuki blocked them with a wave of energy as his weapon gleamed a yellow-green.

"What are the two of you doing?" he asked as a lash of ice swatted the demon, causing it to fall to its knees.

"Wearing it down…" the pink-haired teenager gaped at the two of them as the Demon struggled back into standing, preparing to fire more arrows.

"Wearing it… what?!" Yuuichiro glanced to him.

"Listen, if we wear this thing down, Yoichi can fight it!" he stated as Kimizuki stared into his eyes.

"Hyakuya… are you sure?" the boys nodded.

"We are… it's weakening, so if we fight it like this… sap its strength… we can beat it," Mika said.

"Okay, I'm all ears…"

Guren smiled as the three teenagers dispersed, coming at it from different angles. The three of them were working together to save someone, unconventional as it was, the Lieutenant Colonel knew very well that they were attempting a form of exorcism that Mito and Sayuri had perfected several years ago. By using the energy of the Cursed Gear, it was surprisingly easy to exorcise a Demon who was possessing someone; however, it was nothing akin to normal exorcisms that they had done before. Taking in a deep breath, Guren looked at the three of them, knowing that once this was over, if Yoichi survived he would be in quite a bit of pain, but if it worked, he would be alive, and the Demon would be subdued enough for him to control it.

"STOOOP!" the Demon wailed.

"Now Kimizuki! Attack it with us!" Yuuichiro called out as the pink-haired teen took in a shaky breath, hoping that the energy output from his weapon could be controlled just enough for him to battle alongside the other two.

"Give me your power, Kiseki-O!" another flash of yellow-green energy blasted away from the twin-swords and the Demon screamed in agony.

The three of them sent a series of attacks after the Demon, all of them knowing that while their attacks were invocations to a degree, they were still to uncontrolled to let lose fully, therefore, they pushed on, battling against the power of the Demon until it finally let out an agonized howl.

"IT BURNS! AHH! IT BURNS!" the Demon dropped the bow, clutching at its head.

"AGAIN!" Mika yelled.

Another whirl of emerald, sapphire, and topaz sailed through the room, lashing into the Demon who screamed in pain again before one of the horn's cracked. The three boys paused at the sight as it drifted away into ashes and wobbled in place, reaching for the bow again as it fired an arrow at the three of them who blocked it swiftly. They prepared their swords, the Demon howling and hissing at them wildly as they kept themselves prepared for another attack as the beast dropped the bow once again and screamed, grabbing at it's head.

"DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU ALL!" it lunged at Yuuichiro who turned the blade to the blunt side and knocked it aside as Mika snatched the creature, holding its attention as it struggled to remove his grip.

"Yoichi! If you're in there then make it give in! this beast as no hold upon you!" he snapped as it wrenched itself free.

"I'LL KILL YOU ALL!" it roared as it attempted to lunge at them again, but the second it took a step forward, the monster froze, a look of realization upon it's face.

In that instant, the purple-hued marks upon the boy's face faded away, the energy around him shifted and the strength of the demon failed as the horns of the creature crumbled into ash as the Demon let out a horrible scream as the boy's body began to sway, almost causing him to fall as Yuuichiro moved forward, catching the boy as he wrapped his arms around his waist, crying into his shoulder while the others stared as the black-haired boy placed a hand atop Yoichi's head, shushing him, and hoping to ease his sobs.

"It's okay, your fine… I saw you fighting the entire time… you did great, Yoichi," he stated, letting his sword drop to the ground as he held the boy.

"I've never seen him comfort someone… seems like he knows what he's doing," thought Shinoa as Guren stared at the scene.

"Well, I'll be damned… I knew that training would come in handy, but not like this. Good job you three, you not only defeated the demon, but saved a comrade as well," he said as Mika glared.

"The next time you tell us to off a comrade, I'll rip your tongue out! You hear me!" the others gawked at him while Guren laughed.

"Yea, yea… you alright there Yoichi?" the Lieutenant Colonel asked.

"I-I" Yuuichiro shot him a glare, his eyes slowly fading from acid green to their normal emerald shade.

"Leave him alone Guren," he stated as Yoichi sniffed a bit and then moved back a bit, rubbing his eyes.

"If… if you and M-Mika hadn't… done that… I don't think I could have beat it… thank you, Yuu, Mika… Kimizuki…" the three of them smiled.

"No problem, just don't let it happen again please," Kimizuki specified.

"Well, congratulations everyone, you just succeeded in your first mission, but… YOU TOOK FREAKING FOREVER!" Guren kicked Yuuichiro in the stomach and he went down, gripping the offended area with a glare upon his face.

"Why would you… hit me for that…" the boy went down, hissing a bit as he attempted to stay at the very least on his knees as Mika and Yoichi checked on him.

"That was a bit uncalled for," Shinoa said.

"Peanut Gallery…" the girl stuck her tongue out before she turned her attention to the black-haired boy who was slowly getting his breath back.

She settled down on her knees and reached to place a hand upon his head, to which he looked up and watched her as she smiled and met his gaze. The others watched her as she looked him over and sighed in relief before brushing his bangs from his eyes, all of them taking a slight hint towards what the girl felt towards the boy while Guren smirked and Mika rolled his eyes at the man's expression.

"Guren has that little twinkle in his eyes that tells me his trolling mode has been engaged… yippy for me…" the blonde thought.

"You had me worried, I don't like it when you act impulsively… on top of that you could have gotten yourself killed stepping out like that without preparing to fight," she told him.

"I'll be fine. I didn't know you could be concerned for a troublemaking brat like me Shinoa… that's a bit out of character for you…" the girl stood as he got himself to his feet and she sighed.

"I guess I've started to see you as a friend and… I don't want to see you get hurt because of that hero complex of yours. Remember, you're not a super hero…" she told him and then looked at the other three boys.

"I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that what you just said goes for us too…" Shinoa nodded.

"You better believe it. If I left out Mika, Yoichi, and Kimizuki, I think Yuu would be angry with me, and I don't think I want to be on his bad side," she stated as Mika and Kimizuki gave the black-haired boy a look alongside Guren and Yoichi. The boy gave them a confused expression.

"What?" Guren placed a hand upon his head, ruffling his messy black-hair.

"Nothing at all cherry boy," he said with a smirk as he started walking away.

"W-What did you…. WOULD YOU STOP CALLING ME THAT?!"

{Training Center: June 24th, 2020, 4:03pm}

Shinoa watched as Mika and Yuu spared with their Cursed Gear. Three days ago, since they had dealt with Yoichi's possession and their gain of said weapons, they had been training rigorously to improve their skills before the day came where they would begin their jobs as members of the Moon Demon Company as a frontline Curser. She smiled as Yoichi stared, settled beside her in awe as Yuu dodged Mika's attack with a flip and the blonde frowned as he turned in time to stop him.

Without question, Yuuichiro was the most flexible of the two, but she figured that came with his smaller frame and lithe muscle tone, not that one should discount Mika. She sighed as the blonde took in a series of deep breaths as he looked at the boy who was standing before him on to have him strike and force him to jump back. Once he had, he fell over and was faced with the sharp green tinted metal of Asuramaru. The two brothers took in a few breaths and Mika put his hands up.

"I give, okay?" Mika stated as Yuuichiro put the blade up.

"Your wobbling a bit, Mika, what happened to that ease you used down in the Black Demon Chamber?" the blonde shot Shinoa a glare.

"That was sheer dumb luck! I barely managed to get the attack to move in the right position. I don't even know how I did it," he answered.

"You just need more practice. Your blade isn't the same type as the one you've been using, so it makes it harder for you to maneuver. After a little bit more training, you'll get it." Yuuichiro picked up a water bottle near the side and took in a deep breath.

"By the way, did Guren say anything about when the team we're on is going to be assembled?" he questioned before taking a sip of the water.

"Not yet, but he did tell me that I can inform you of the members of your team in a few days once he's certain of who he'll be placing on it. As it stands the four of us and Kimizuki are teammates." Yoichi frowned.

"So, one more person? Because, correct me if I'm wrong, but the…." A sudden sound of a door opening cut him off.

"I thought I'd find you guys down here doing something," stated Kimizuki as he approached.

"Having a good day, Kimizuki?' the pink-haired teenager rolled his eyes.

"Until I saw that pipsqueak, yea, my day has been just fine… what are you doing anyways slacker?" he asked as Yuuichiro gave him a dull expression.

"Slacker… that is something I am not. Sorry, but Mika and I have been busting our asses the last three days down here after school, and you're doing what now?" Mika placed a hand on the other boy's head.

"Be nice, Yuu… he doesn't have to meet us here for sparring sessions if he doesn't want to," he stated as he ruffled the boy's hair.

"Cut it out Mika! That's annoying!" slapped the other's hands away while Kimizuki kept watching him.

"Now, now Yuu… I'm sure he doesn't mean anything by it, after all, he is your big brother," Shinoa said with a smirk as Kimizuki frowned and finally a set of sharp emerald eyes locked onto him as Mika caught him in a headlock.

"Let me go you… what are you staring at Kimizuki?" the pink-haired teen sighed.

"I'm just wondering what you did three days ago… that was an energy exorcism… weakening the Demon's hold and speaking out to the person possessed. Did you plan that or what?" he questioned.

"I've seen it a few times… just through what Guren's team did… not much else… I wasn't sure if it would even work, but I figured it would be worth a shot." Kimizuki shrugged, deciding to drop the subject.

"Anyways, on the up side, in a few days you begin your jobs with the Moon Demon Company. Kimizuki? Your sister was moved to our facilities and she'll be taken good care of. As for the rest of you, from this point on we work together. I will be joining you as part of your team officially, isn't that exciting?!" the group slumped a bit as Yuu tilted his head, crossing his arms over his chest while he looked at the girl.

"Stalker," he muttered.

"Cherry boy." The group eyed one another.

"Peanut Gallery!"

"Hero Complex!" Shinoa shot back.

"Grape head!" the two got closer to one another, almost touching foreheads if not for the fact that Yuu was a good five or so inches taller than Shinoa.

"Cherry boy!" she stated as Yuu glared.

"Perverted little nut-job!" the three shook their heads.

"And that saying about opposites attracting is slowly making more and more sense the older I get..." thought Yoichi as Shinoa gave the black-haired boy a sweet smile.

"Awh me?! No! I'm the most adorably innocent thing ever!" she stated in a high-pitched voice.

"This is coming from the girl who was doing a dance on the rooftop of the school about elicit sexual relationships." Kimizuki and Yoichi stared at Yuu as Mika laughed.

"He's right, she did do that," he confirmed.

"Ummm…." The periwinkle-haired girl moved a bit closer to the black-haired boy and looked up to him.

"What do you want?" Yuu asked.

"Nothing, I'm just looking…" he rose an eyebrow at the girl.

"At what?" the others gave Mika a questioning glance to which he could only shrug.

"Your kind of cute when you aren't in a bad mood," she said with a smile.

"Huh?!" she watched him gape at her a bit, a flush coming to his cheeks.

"And, you have very pretty eyes," she continued.

"You're starting to scare me, Shinoa…" the girl just smiled.

"I might just have to choose you as my betrothed," she said with her smile still in place, nudging him in the ribs.

"Now you're really scaring me…" Mika stepped forward and placed a hand on his brother's shoulder.

"I guess I should have known this was coming," he said as the boy gave him a long look.

"Shut up Mika!" Kimizuki sighed.

"Alright, I'm leaving before I lose any more brain cells… you coming, Yoichi?" the other hummed.

"I need to go and get some homework done for tomorrow. I'll see you three later!" the brunette said as he left the training hall and followed Kimizuki while Mika looked at the two of them.

"Stop pestering my brother Shinoa, okay? Come on, Yuu, we've got things to do," the blonde said as he grabbed his backpack and sword before walking away.

Shinoa and Yuuichiro stood in silence for a few moments, not sure what to do or say to each other as they glanced to one another and then looked away again. The periwinkle-haired girl wanted to speak to him, and inform him of something. These last few weeks, she had started to grow fond of the black-haired, emerald-eyed boy in a way that went beyond friendship; however, she wasn't sure how to tell him. Taking in a deep breath, she went to speak to him and saw that he was grabbing his backpack and his sword, before looking towards her.

"I'll see you later, okay Shinoa?" he asked as she glanced down.

"Um… y-yea… sure…" the boy frowned.

"Are you okay?" he questioned as he stepped a bit closer.

"Yea! I'm fine… just getting tired I guess…" he frowned again.

"Uhuh…"

Admittedly, Yuuichiro was confused by her recent behavior. Shinoa wasn't known for her compassion – not that she was a hateful or cruel person – but recently, she had been uncommonly concerned with the others, and him in particular. The girl had him worried only because, while he didn't mind her affectionate side, the sudden unsureness and conflicting behavior had him uneasy. As he looked her over, he thought about her appearance and could quickly admit that Shinoa was a very pretty girl, she was petite in size, but strong and graceful. Her tangerine eyes and periwinkle hair gave her a slightly otherworldly look, but made her no less attractive. Shaking the thought from his head, he glanced away, not wanting to make a scene.

"I'm going to head on, see you – " the girl grabbed his jacket sleeve.

"Hey, um… Yuu? Can you meet me on the roof tomorrow? I kind of… want to tell you something," she said.

"Um… okay? What time?" she thought for a moment.

"During your free period… I have one at the same time as you, and Mika has a science class then, so…" the other sighed.

"Okay, fine… I'll meet you at two on the roof, alright?" she nodded.

"Thanks, see you then…" he sighed as she skipped away and out the door.

"What did I just get myself involved in?"

Author's Note: Whew, I mean to tell you. This was a hard choice at the end of this chapter. I didn't ever think I would actually push the start of their relationship back, but here I am, doing it. I wanted to pace things a little slower, which actually means there is going to be more chapters in this story, neat huh? Well, I hope everyone is enjoying the story, so let me know what you think, m'kay?

Chapter 8: Yuuichiro
