So, I've dropped the ball in terms of updating this fic. Yeah, I know. I should've done better. But I'm not gonna make promises I can't keep and say I'll keep updating this fic.
Put it simply, I've lost all interest in RWBY. I've still got a little interest in Slenderverse, but my eyes are on other webseries now (such as Arkn Mythos, Monarch's 52, Soursalt, etc.) What's more, I'm pretty embarrassed by this fic. I wrote it when I was in middle school for fun, and somehow you all seem to like it a lot more than I expected. My current work (in Arkn: Legacy, on my first book I just got done writing recently, and on other various bits of work floating around the internet) is a lot more polished than this. A lot more.
As such, I'd declare this fic a dead one.
However, I'm not gonna leave you guys on a cliff-hanger like that. This will pretty much be where I summarize what I had planned. If you guys want to pick it up and work with the concept in my stead, fine. Just credit me.
The next arc was going to be Caught-themed, from what I remember. It centered around Caught's "mirror clones" somehow snapping and the whole situation turning into, basically, the plot of "Us" by Jordan Peele. Noah's mirror clone was basically going to be Prebrand/Sisyphus!Noah, Tim's mirror clone was going to be a pretentious asshole, Evan's mirror clone was going to be giggly and aggressive, and Caught's mirror would be the creepy Mirror Caught that whispered to Natalie in "Aftermath." Eventually, Caught would realize that the only way he could defeat the clones was by making peace with himself (something that Tim would help him do).
From there, the last arc would have been called "Darkness Beyond." It would have involved them facing up against Salem and winning. Ozpin would pop in after they killed her (because He's Ozpin, That's Why) and grant four wishes of theirs. Their four wishes was that them and Team AVNJ remain in Remnant, that they become full-time Hunters, that the "world-saving" be handed over to four guys who deserved a second shot at life like they did, and that Slenderman or any of his goons never go near them or their loved ones again.
Their ending? They move into a flat together, next to Team AVNJ. Team CTNE became rather legendary in the RWBY world, going on 209 missions total. AVNJ would go on 192.
Caught became Vale's Spymaster. Rumor has it that he never married, exactly - but that he was seen in Tim's company constantly. He stopped a war between Vacuo and Atlas, and became known as the Cackling Shadow.
Tim became known as the Blackguard. He became High Commander of Vale's armies. His powers of Grimm control saved the lives of many brave men, and his strategies for combat were as effective as they were ruthless.
Noah became known as the Firebrand, as fate has a sense of humor. He never got divorced from Evan. He kept going on long, dangerous missions that would have killed other Hunters. He always kept travelling, on one mission or another.
Lastly, Evan joined Noah. He became known as the Blademaster, and set a record for most Grimm killed by a single hunter.
The sequel would've involved Arkn Mythos characters coming to Vale as the "new World-Savers," along with Stan Frederick and various other "new wave" Slenderverse characters. Zeke Strahm (long may his badassery reign) would have made an appearance as a badass mercenary making his way in the new world he found himself in.
