Lindsey went to talk to Mac at the office. She met Mac in his office while Stella was waiting in the hall. They sat down on Mac´s couch in the office.
"Mac I know that I have problems and that I need help" Mac looked at her encouraging her to continue. "I am scared of another therapy but I know that I need to do it. I am thinking about a psychosomatic institution to get the help I need." Mac nodded and pulled her against him.
"Lindsey you know that Stella and I will do everything in our power to help you no matter how. You have our support." Lindsey nodded. They left his office and the met Stella in the hall. "We will talk tonight" he said hugging Lindsey and kissing Stella.
In the evening they sat down in the living-room. Lindsey was insecure and scared and Mac tries to reassure her by taking her hand. "Stella, Lindsey says she wants to get help in a psychosomatic institution because she thinks that it might help her" Mac said squeezing Lindsey´s hand. Stella nodded and looked at Lindsey and Mac.
"Lindsey if you think it will help you?" "I hope so" she said and Stella nodded. "Lindsey I would love to help you and have you home during that time but if you think that it will help and will give you some stability Mac and I will support you no matter what." Lindsey nodded and hugged Stella. "Thank you big sister." Stella kissed her head. Stella held Lindsey for a while and Mac was holding her hand and they tried to assure her that everything will be alright. When Lindsey fell asleep Mac carried her to her bed and after checking on their children he went back to the living-room to talk to Stella.
He joined Stella on the couch and wrapped an arm around her. "Mac I do not like it" Stella said. Mac nodded against her head. "Stella I know but ultimately it is Lindsey´s decision and if she feels she needs to do it to have a chance for a new life then we have to support her" Mac said looking at her. Stella nodded.
Mac knew that Stella had problems with Lindsey´s wish but they had to accept it. "Mac I love Lindsey. She is my sister and I will support her no matter what" she said putting her head on his chest. Mac kissed her head. "I just hopes it will help her the way she thinks it will help her. I just want her to be happy and finally have the chance at a normal life, like we have one" she said kissing his chest. Mac just held her and let her to her thought for the moment. He knew that she needed to process it.
During the next few weeks Mac, Stella and Lindsey talked a few times over Lindsey´s plan to go into an institution and the more they talked about the more Stella understood that she really needed to do it and even if it hurt her to the core she accepted it and supported it. Lindsey wanted a good institution and maybe even outside of New York City to get away for a while, from everything. They knew that it was not going to come cheep but Mac was willing to even pay for the most expensive Clinic if it helped Lindsey.
