On the outskirts of the small farming town of Withsking, two children were born. The siblings were born of a farmer and a Weaver who were said to be cursed. The children the Weaver bared, one daughter, one son, looking nothing like her or her husband. Her son, the first to arrive shinned a brilliant beam to the sky, announcing his birth. He had dark Navy hair and a mark upon his back said to anyone who saw him, that he was special. Her daughter, fragile and calm came second. Her pink hair and white skin were nothing like that of her parents dark hair and brown skin. Even after looking the child thoroughly over, their daughter did not bare the same mark as her brother. The townspeople saw the amazing light, but no one move a muscle in fear of being cursed by the strange family. A day after giving birth, the Weaver passed away from internal bleeding. The farmer was left alone to care for two special children. As the children grew, so did their powers. It came to the point that farmer could no longer contain his children. At the age of thirteen, daiki and satsuki were forced out of their home by their father who had told them not to come back until they learned about themselves. Ten days and ten nights later, after they had learned as much as they could, came back to the village. In the middle of town last, hung by his neck, being pecked at by vultures was their father who was left to hang by the townspeople. They say the scream of the children echoed through town like a strong, menacing wind. And much like a natural disaster, aomine daiki, the cursed mericle, went on a rampage, killing the entire town with his superhuman strength, while his little sister, soaked with the rotting blood of her father, carried their father to the back of their home to be buried. Aomine could not calm his rage. Even after killing everyone in the village, he still felt the need to kill. His sister stood in front of him un-moving as he moved closer with the intent to kill. With nowhere to run, satsuki faced her brother with the intent to erase the memories that haunted him. Satsuki was weak. Overpowering her brother was impossible. But still she creeped closer to the raging beast and when she got close enough, grabbed him up in a hug.

"Brother, I don't want you to hurt anymore! I'll get rid of it for you! I love you!"

One moment was all it took for satsuki to destroy that horrid memory. She told him that the village was murdered by a barbarian clan who was betrayed by their town leader. Aomine believed her and has spent the rest of his life believing a lie his sister told him.

The whinny and sound of hooves hitting gravel traveled through the center of the old abandoned town of Withsking. The wooden houses and shops corroded in time, eaten away by bugs and covered up by a blanket nature provided, stood hardly noticeable. In order to get to satsuki's house, the group of travelers had to first make their way through the eerily buried town. Despite the building being nearly unnoticeable, bits and pieces of civilization were scattered down the path. Old poorly made children's dolls made of cloth and horsehair, iron pans for cooking, and other common items could be seen from the trail, hidden amongst the tall grass.

This was once aomines home. This village used to bare life on it's shoulders. As they rode through, they all kept silent in respect to that fact, all except kuroko.

"Aomine kun...is momoi San the only one living here?"

Seeing as kuroko was the only one talking in the quiet atmosphere, all eyes and ears were on him.

Aomine sighed.

" Yeah. The other villagers died a long time ago. Satsuki and I grew up here. And even after everyone was murdered, we still stayed here. I didn't leave home until akashi found me. That was about six years ago. I haven't been home since, so I'm sure I'll get an ear full when we get there."

Things became quiet for a few more moments. As the group rode moderately through the center of town kuroko looked at his surroundings. An eerie sight crossed his eyes. A permanent Gallows standing tall in the center of town. It's noose hanging prominently in the center of the split T form. It's wooden frame nearly completely enveloped by a vine of morning glories.

"We are approaching satsuki's. Be prepared to stop your horses."

Kuroko looked up ahead of the group. Following the path to see that just a little closer that eye peak was a well kept house on a lovely hill of green grass and purple wildflowers. After seeing nothing but sad empty homes, seeing a well kept house surrounded but not consumed by nature was a breath of fresh air.

The horses stopped and everyone got off, tying their horses to the nearby trees. Kuroko looked to takao who waved only to sit next to the hoses in the shade. Kuroko remembered what takao said before and turned his head away. The five of them walked up the hill, following the circle stone path to the house. Aomine was leading the group with the intent of seeing his sister first. Kuroko stayed close to aomine, unsure of his surroundings and unfamiliar in any of the customs surrounding the home. Kuroko didn't want to make a mistake and upset anyone.

All five of them stood in front for the well crafted wooden door and watched as aomine knocked firmly. Footsteps could be heard running to the door. The sound of the handle turning and the creak of the wood as a young lady opened the door.

"Oh! Daiki!!! Onii-chan! Welcome back!"

A rushed of pink leaped onto aomine making him fall back first into the grass.

Aomine laughed as he sat up with his sister on his lap.

"I'm home."

Kuroko walked over to aomine worried that he needed help.

Momoi noticed Kuroko looking inquisitive.

"I don't think I've seen you before… are you new?"

Kuroko nodded, feeling a little acward around the new person.

Momoi stood up and grabbed kurokos hand. A rush of firely electricity ran up and down kurokos spine. A thread was created.

"My name is momoi satsuki, and yours?"

"Kurokos tetsuya."

"It's nice to meet you kuroko-kun!"

Akashi rolled his eyes at the scene before clearing his throat.

Momoi looked to him in distaste.

"Satsuki...I'm sorry to spring this on you so suddenly but have you prepared to leave yet?"

Momoi huffed as she helped her brother off the ground.

"You sure get straight to the point don't you? No. I'm not really to go. Why don't you guys come in for some tea and lunch? You can eat while I get ready."

Akashi sighed. He looked to the others who looked neutral at the offer. Akashi srugged his shoulders.

"We'll take you up on the offer then."

Akashi turned to aomine and Kuroko.

"We will take your lunch on the road. Use this time to practice.".

Kuroko and aomine nodded.

"Yes, sir."

Kurokos looked at his hand. Pins and needles still ran through his hand from the thread he had created with momoi.

Aomine led kuroko to an open Meadow not too far from the house. Aomine stood in front of kuroko and looked around.

"This place seems like a good one to start with. Go ahead and do your thing. Let's see if you can use your power. I'll be right here if something goes wrong."

Kuroko nodded before closing his eyes. He took a breath and calmed his heart. As he stood there in silence a memory played in his mind.

When kuroko was a child, maybe 4 or 5 years old, he had gotten lost in the forest. He remembered how scared he felt and how much he missed his parents. After hours of being all alone he had felt like giving up. His lonely crys eventually alarmed a villager who had been hunting near by.

Loneliness…

Kuroko though again of another lonely memory. A very recent one. His mother… the passing of his mother. And the fact that in the end, she was not his actual mother made feelings of sadness and loneliness bubble over.

An aura formed around kuroko, a light blue color. aomine took a step back. He watched as a symbol appeared glowing in front of kuroko. Aomine recognized the symbol. It was a barrier to lock in powers.

"Shit…kuroko!"

When kuroko didn't answer, aomine yelled again.

"KUROKO! Snap out of it!"

Kuroko opened his eyes and the glow and symbol went away. Aomine sighed in relief.

"What happened?"

Aomine walked up to kuroko calmly.

"We need to have a talk with akashi and midorima."
