Let's try the training again. Maybe your power will show itself now that the barrier has been released."

Kuroko shook his head which surprised aomine.

"What, why?"

"There is no way...after all that...do you really expect me to be able to feel lonely?"

Sweat dripped from aomines forehead.

"Ah...I guess you're right. Well maybe we can try something else, but for now let's go back to the house."

Kuroko nodded and followed aomine to the house. Aomine had given up too easily and kuroko knew it. Aomine was going through some emotions right now and it probably wasn't safe for him to teach kuroko...not with his feelings. And besides kuroko felt a little awkward after the kiss and would rather sort out his feelings away from aomine.

As they walked into the house, they were greeted by a dinning room full of people chatting and eating wholeheartedly. murasakibara had his chair behind momoi's, concentrating hard on braiding her long pink hair. Akashi got up from his seat and greeted the two at the door.

"Why have you guys come back? Did you make a breakthrough with tetsuya's power?"

Aomine shook his head and akashi's face became sour.

"Tetsuya can't handle the training I can offer him right now. His emotions are running to high."

Akashi hummed.

"Let's talk outside. I have an idea."

Akashi brought both of his men out on the hill and closed the door.

"Tetsuya, do you know why we have powers?"

Kuroko thought carefully about the answer.

"No, I don't."

"We have powers to protect ourselves. It's as simple as that. Being bigger, stronger, more agile, and more dominant over an enemy allows us to survive better than others. Our powers often react to our adrenaline and in our time of need it will protect us."

Kuroko nodded.

"So aomine, I'm going to ask you to stay behind."

Aomine was confused, but soon understand what was happening. Akashi pulls a knife out of his boot. Aomine watched as akashi pointed the knife at kuroko.

"I'm about to kill you tetsuya. You better start running."

Kuroko's eyes dilated when he saw the knife and akashi's killer look. Akashi was serious and kuroko's heart was pounding fast.

"A-akashi kun...your kidding right? Why do you have a knife?"

Akashi sighed.

"Look don't blame me tetsuya, I told you to start running."

Akashi swung his knife fast towards kuroko's neck nearly cutting him. Kuroko fell to the ground in a panic. Akashi swung down towards kuroko's heart but kuroko rolled to the side to dodge it.

Kuroko was hyperventilating and tears were flowing down his cheeks. He had no idea what was going on, but one thing he did know was that he was going to be killed if he didn't keep moving.

Kuroko tried to get up but was Soon tackled by akashi who swung his knife down to kuroko's chest.

I'm going to die.

You? Die? No.

When kuroko opened his eyes, akashi's knife was inches away from his heart. Any closer and he would have died., But something was keeping the knife from going further. Akashi was even trying to force the knife in but it wouldn't budge.

Akashi sighed and pulled the knife away, only to put it back in his boot. Akashi wiped his forehead and looked at kuroko.

"So this is your power huh? Very interesting."

Kuroko looked around him. By a few inches all around him was a magical glow. It reminded him of the barrier before but somehow this one seemed more flexible, almost like it was a part of him. Kuroko stood up and looked to akashi.

"I've never seen such strong barrier magic on a human before. With a little training, we could use this to our advantage. The power within you is fierce, yet invisible. Amazing." Akashi came close to kuroko who whimpered in fear.

Akashi was suddenly pushed off the hill. He rolled all the way down the pathway.

Kuroko had curled into a ball and a large barrier surrounded the hill, house and all. Apparently, akashi wasn't welcome anywhere near kuroko right now. Which was understandable.

Aomine was now inside kuroko's barrier along with everyone else. They obviously couldn't leave like this and something had to be done.

"Aw geez. Akashi's gone and done it now. Tetsu's probably traumatized...well...no more than he already is I guess."

Aomine walked up to kuroko who was shaking and crying. Akashi had broken him.

"Tetsu…"

"GET AWAY FROM ME!"

Kuroko's voice boomed through the barrier making the walls of the shield reverberate like a drum.

BababaBOOM

BababaBOOM

Aomine backed up, nervous that the barrier would force him out as well.

Hearing, or rather feeling the loud noise, everyone came out of the house to see what was wrong. As soon as they saw kuroko, they all looked to aomine for an answer.

"Aomine chii, what's going on? What's wrong with kuroko chii!?"

"Hey, don't look at me! It was akashi that did this!"

Momoi walked up to aomine looking around at the magnificent blue orb that surround the house.

"what is this?"

Aomine sighed.

"It's tetsu's power. He can use barrier magic. But this is way different than normal barrier magic. He forced akashi all the way down the hill and he has domination magic. If anything, akashi should have been able to make kuroko stop, but it seems it didn't work on him."

Midorima hummed.

"The only other time akashi's domination magic hasn't worked was on kagami. This is quite strange."

Aomine nodded.

"Yeah, and what's even weirder is that the barrier reacts to kuroko. It moves like it's apart of his body. I've never seen something like that. Have you guys?"

Everyone shook their head no.

Kiss spoke up.

"who cares! Look at kuroko chii! He's sitting there broken on the ground and no one is helping him! What's wrong with you guys!?"

Aomine quickly reacted to kise's words.

"Wait kise! Don't go near him right now--!"

Kuroko was cornered. Scared and feral. As kise came closer to him, kuroko's berrier reverberated stronger with each step.

Everyone was quiet. the sound of the giant drum kept everyone on their feet, except of course kise who continued forward with determination.

When kise was close enough to hear kuroko's rapid breathing, he knelt down, unable to get much closer.

"Kuroko-chii...i-"

"GET AWAY!"

"Kuroko-chii it's me, kise."

"Please...please...go away…"

Kuroko was flooding his face with tears. Kise could feel kuroko's fear from where he was kneeling.

"Kise...its no use. He needs to calm down first. Hes blinded by fear."

Kise shook his head to aomines comment.

"He needs comfort aomine-chii. He just can't see the difference between us...oh…"

Aomine sighed.

"..yeah...that's what blinded by fear means."

Kise huffed.

"No...i just realised something. What if it wasn't a human that approached him?" "

"What the hell are you...oh...ohhh…"

Kise laughed a little before his bright yellow aura shined around him.

"Kise! Make sure not to shift into something threatening!"

"Don't worry aomine-chii. i won't. "

The shine enveloped kise before fading. The figure sitting there was no longer kise but a fluffy yellow pomeranian.

Aomine rolled his eyes at the sight.

" kise. What the hell did you turn into!?"

Kise turned to aomine.

" the fluffiest, smallest, least threatening wolf pup i could think of."

"You look like you're made of nothing but hair."

"Yeah. that was my aim."

Kise turned to kuroko. He took a few steps closer to kuroko. then , a few more steps past the threshold that kuroko had made. Something kise could not do as a human. Progress.

Kise moved his tiny body closer and closer. The berrier didn't react and neither did kuroko. It was almost like kuroko isn't noticing the new creature.

Kise was now at kuroko's feet. He rubbed his soft fluffy body on kuroko's leg making kuroko look up. It was now visible, what could only be heard.

Kuroko was wrecked. His eyes were void of any feeling. The only glitter to his eyes were the tears. He wasn't there. He was living...surviving off of his primal instincts. He had receded into his own mind for comfort. Kise was unsure if he could help him at this point...but he was will to try.

Kise wiggled his way into kuroko's lap and started to lick away the tears. Kuroko had stopped crying, but had no reaction to the puppy. He only followed the movements carefully.

Kise continued to do what dogs do. He barked and rubbed and rolled for kuroko's attention.

Kuroko reached out his hand and placed it on the soft fur of the animal. Kise stopped wiggling and stood still. He didn't want to frighten kuroko now. kuroko cautiously picked up the dog and put him on his lap. Kise curled up and allowed kuroko to calm down by petting his fur.

Kuroko's eyes started to come back to life. He became aware. His eyes wandered to the fluff ball on his lap.

"What? Where did you come from?"

With that question and kuroko's relaxation, the barrier came flexing back to kuroko as quickly as it came shooting out leaving a light breeze in its wake.

Kuroko looked up to see everyone staring at him.

"What's wrong guys? Ah! Is this animal dangerous!?"

Aomine shook his head.

"No its not...do you remember anything that just happened?"

Kuroko was confused but thought back.

"We were headed back here and we talked to akashi...and now...im here. Where did this animal come from? Why am i on the ground?"

Midorima sighed.

"He must have lost his memory from the shock. Lets get him inside. Kise help him up!"

The little dog jumped off kuroko's lap and transformed back into a human. Kise leaned down and offered kuroko his hand.

"Kise-kun? That dog was you? Wow can you become anything?"

Kise blushed a little as he helped the boy up.

"Pretty much. Anything living that is. Come on. Let's go inside."

Kuroko nodded and he and kise went inside, followed by everyone else, not know what just happened or why it happened.
