We get to see the in-ring stylings of Kennedi and Veronica both in this chapter, but we're not at Capitol Punishment yet. Are you ready?

CHAPTER NINETEEN

Ashley cornered Edge after the match on SmackDown, catching him backstage and literally pushing him into the corner. "Come on, Edge, just one date?"

"I'm not interested, Ashley."

"Everyone is interested in me, Edge." Ashley took his hands and put them on her waist, but as soon as her hands moved, so did his. "You can't deny that you find me attractive."

"I find you pushy, which is quite the opposite."

"Trust me, I'll show you a good reason to be with me. After the show tonight." Ashley pressed her body up against his, only for him to push her back, lightly, and turn around her, so that he could walk away.

"You and I will be in bed together one day, Edge. I'll show you a good time, a great time! You'll see." Ashley could do nothing but watch as he walked away. "You'll see!" She shouted, before turning around and running a hand through her hair. "He'll see…"

The next week on RAW, Maria stood in the ring with Ashley on the apron and Lita in her corner, while facing Kennedi in the ring, who had Veronica on her apron, and Michelle McCool standing in her corner.

"Bring it." Maria said, and Kennedi shrugged, waiting for Maria to move in.

Maria, instead, backed up onto the top turnbuckle, and Kennedi ran forward, grabbing her leg and pulling her down in an avalanche leg sweep. Kennedi leaned over Maria as she lay on the ground, one foot on the ponytail Maria wore yet again.

"You should know better than to mess with greatness." Kennedi said, before moving her foot and kicking Maria onto her stomach. "Get up, Maria!" She shouted, and Maria did just that. Kennedi hit her with a perfectly clean clothesline and then dragged her to her feet. From there, she took her by the arm and to her corner, tagging in Veronica, who went to the top rope and came down on Maria's arm.

Maria grabbed her elbow, where Veronica had hit, and the referee checked on her. Maria shooed him away and turned to Veronica, who was her new target. "You want to play dirty? Let's play dirty." Maria lunged in and locked up with Veronica, who spun it around into a neck breaker. Maria lunged to tag in Ashley, and Veronica snatched Ashley by her shoulder-length, multicolored hair.

She let out a primal shriek as she spun Ashley in a circle by her hair and threw her to the ground, before standing up and tagging in Kennedi.

Kennedi hit Ashley with an elbow drop from the top rope to the chest, which Ashley kicked out of. The mistake Ashley made there was standing up, while Kennedi motioned at her to stand up, turn around. The crowd cheered wildly as Kennedi rushed forward and hit Ashley with a spear.

The pin went through completely and they left Ashley in a mess on the mat while Kennedi, Veronica, and Michelle returned to the stage. Edge walked out as his theme began to play, and Ashley sat up, holding her hair and smiling at him.

Edge, however, wrapped his arms around Kennedi and kissed her flat on the mouth, leaving Ashley in stunned horror in the ring. "What the hell?!" she shouted, and Kennedi shrugged her shoulders as she backed away.

"What the hell are you doing, Edge?! Get back here!"

"Shut up, Ashley!"

Ashley ignored Trish's call for silence and continued screaming after Kennedi. "You worthless little Goth kid! Get your hands off of him! He deserves so much better than someone like you!"

Trish grabbed Ashley by her arm and pulled her up to her feet. "Shut up, Ashley!"

"You shut up, Trish! We're supposed to be the greatest female wrestling talent ever assembled into one group, and we've gotten our asses handed to us twice in the last week by a couple of no-talent children!"

"How do you think I feel?!" Trish shoved Ashley back, and it wasn't until Lita and Victoria got between them that they finally both calmed down, and DEAR left with some of their dignity intact.

Later, in the DEAR hotel suite, Ashley was going absolutely insane. She'd grabbed the pillows and had begun throwing them around, and had gotten up onto the bed to beat the crap out of it. The other girls essentially ignored this insanity, and just let her go off. "She's a girl," Lita muttered. "It's normal."

"Shouldn't we try to calm her down?" Mickie asked, her head tilting to the side as she watched Ashley pick up a pillow and throw it at the wall, the pillow bouncing back only to receive a beating. "I mean, we should really help her."

Trish nodded from Lita's other side. Candice was re-painting her nails now, white this time, to bring out her deep tan. Victoria sat next to her, flipping through a two-dollar magazine she'd bought at the 7-11 when she and Candice went there grabbing snacks after the show.

Gail let out a sigh, before walking up behind Ashley and grabbing her by the shoulder. Ashley spun around, venom in her eyes, but Gail shook her head. "You'll get your vengeance on her. Trust me. We'll make sure it happens, and it won't be pretty… but you will get Kennedi Korklan." Gail smiled evilly, and Ashley returned the look as Lita nodded from across the room.

"Impressive."

Trish and Mickie nodded from either side of her, exchanging a look behind Lita's shoulders. "Definitely impressive."

"Bring it, old lady!"

Victoria and Veronica were in the middle of a match the next night when Victoria grabbed Veronica by the hair and pulled her close, so that their faces were inches away. "Listen here, you little-"

Victoria was cut out as she felt the mat shake a bit, and then turned around to see that the other girls on Veronica's side had all come running down and were sliding into the ring, and in came the girls of DEAR on Victoria's side of the ring.

Suddenly, they were all on each other, beating each other senseless, and the referee rang the bell as the brawl broke out in the middle of the ring.

Victoria was on top of Veronica, decking her as hard as she could manage, before Veronica flipped it on Victoria and Kennedi joined her. Ashley came running up behind Kennedi, grabbing her by the hair and flinging her to the mat before digging into her.

Down the ramp came all of the bodyguards, including Edge and Christian, running like hell to get into the ring and pull the girls off of each other.

"I'll get you, you bitch!" Ashley was screaming as Edge pulled her off of Kennedi and then took the redhead out of the ring, from where Ashley had been wailing on her. "Capitol Punishment! You and me! I swear it!"

Well, okay then!
