First things first, I'd like to apologize for my absence-some things came up in my personal life. However, everything is now settled, and back to normal.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled The Return - Remixed. (By the way, to make up for my absence, I will be posting 5 chapters today... kidding. Just two. Don't worry, I'm not that crazy.)

This is a chapter between the wrestling matches and the in-ring stuff. It deals with the morning and afternoon prior to the RAW after Capitol Punishment. ALSO, it's the beginning of the Twitter War portion of the story. Enjoy!

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE

The morning after Capitol Punishment, Ashley sat with her feet propped up on the coffee table of their hotel room. It was minutes before they were ready to check out, and everyone was grabbing the last of their things, making sure the hotel suite was completely cleaned and that they had everything they needed.

Maria, who had been sitting on the couch next to Ashley, suddenly sat up, and then moved to stand next to the window, before turning into the living room.

"Guys! Get in here, now!"

"What is it, Maria?" Candice asked, stepping into the room first, followed by the other girls of DEAR. "What's the big rush?"

"You guys might want to see this…" Maria coughed awkwardly as she turned the volume on her phone all the way up and turned around, holding it out for the other seven girls to watch as it played through.

Edge showed first, with Kelly and Natalya over his shoulders, and the other Divas behind them. "Good morning, WWE Universe."

"This is the first of many challenges," Natalya added, smiling. "But it's the first step in the official destruction of the girls known better as…"

"DEAR." Kelly smiled.

Edge took over once again, crossing his arms over his chest. "This is the declaration of war. Tonight will be the first night of many that DEAR will face defeat."

"But you'd need an army to defeat DEAR." Kelly gasped, clearly acting as Natalya giggled next to her.

"Where, oh where, could we get an army?" Natalya continued, but Edge held up his hands.

"Who needs to find an army, when I've got the Divas?" Edge smiled. "The Divas Army has officially been formed. And DEAR had best prepare themselves for the fight of their lives, because even if my army turns to a militia, or turns to one or two Divas, we will fight. And we will win this war."

"Bye, DEAR." Every Diva said in unison, as well as Edge, before the video clip ended.

"What… the fuck… was that." Maria took her phone back just as Lita swung her hand down to knock it to the floor. "Where did you see that, Maria?!"

"It was linked to me on Twitter by a fan. It's on YouTube, and it's already got half a million views."

Lita was enraged, as were Ashley and Trish, but Candice only tilted her head slightly to the side with confusion. "I'm sorry, but why does this matter?"

"Because, you idiot, they've got the control over the situation now!"

"But we're an army, too. An army of women with talent."

"They have Edge," Ashley insisted to the still-not-caring Candice Michelle.

Victoria shook her head, signaling for the other girls to stop. She and Candice were mostly a package deal when it came to each other, and therefore Victoria knew when Candice wasn't ready to give up her opinion. "I think we should just check out, and-"

"No." Lita's emphasis on that one syllable had chills running down all of the girls spines, especially with the low tone and the anger that resonated through this word. "Ashley, get your laptop. Trish, girls, we're responding to those low-life 'Divas' and we're going to show them, tonight, that they will fucking get slaughtered. Do you hear me, bitches?!"

"Yes, Lita."

Everyone but Ashley spoke, as she was still digging through her luggage to grab her laptop.

Natalya, Kelly, and the other Divas were still laughing and having generally a fun day. They had been checked out since early, and had since gone to the airport and were hanging out in a restaurant there with their bodyguards.

"How do you think DEAR reacted?" Kelly laughed, hugging CM Punk's arm and pulling herself closer to him. He kissed the top of her head and laughed along with her.

"They probably pissed their pants." Kennedi rolled her eyes, letting out a single cough as Edge put his arm around her.

"Honestly? That seems more likely than anything else." Veronica leaned back in her chair, Christian putting his arm around her as well. She shoved it away, but took his hand instead. "No one's really given them a challenge they didn't know they could defeat before-no offense, Kelly, or Nat."

"None taken."

"What Kelly said."

Natalya and Kelly laughed for another second, before Alicia looked over at them. "Maybe they didn't piss their pants. You guys should see this."

"God damn it…" Kelly muttered as Alicia flicked out her phone's backboard and set it down on the table. Everyone crowded around before Kelly pressed the play button.

Lita and Trish sat front and center on the couch, the other girls sitting around them, and Lita waved, feigning a girlish laugh.

"Oh my God, like, hi!" She stopped, put her hand back on her lap, and became serious as she spoke again. "No. You want to know our response to your challenge?"

"You girls are nothing. With or without Edge." Ashley said from between Trish and Lita, sitting on the back of the couch. "It doesn't matter who you have, or where we are, or what you say or do… it's not going to happen. DEAR cannot, will not, be defeated."

"So, in response to the Diva's Army-ha, such a pathetic army-we'll have to say…"

Every girl in DEAR sat up straight and leaned forward, making eye contact with the camera. "Yes."

Kennedi's phone buzzed and went off with a notification, and she picked it up to open it. "Oh, someone mentioned me in a Tweet."

"It's probably a fan."

"No, it's someone I was following." Kennedi's face showed confusion, as that was the only thing that had loaded initially, before the rest of the screen loaded. "Holy mother of… Ashley?"

"Are you sure you want to look at it? I mean, are you even good to go to RAW, Kennedi?" Veronica was concerned about her friend, but Kennedi was ignoring her, already on Twitter, with Veronica over her shoulder.

ashleymassaro11:The Diva's Army? more like Salvation Army from the indies. kkorklan91 has got no talent & her friend's no better. good luck Edge.

"Oh, hell no. She did not just say that." Veronica scoffed, and Christian squeezed her hand. "Don't try to comfort me! I can't be mad when you're doing cute shit."

Everyone laughed for a second at this, before returning to the topic at hand when Kelly spoke out. "What are you going to do about it?"

"Well, Edge doesn't even have a Twitter, so he can't respond. Guess that means I've got to do that." Kennedi smiled as she opened up a new Tweet in response to Ashley's.

kkorklan91: DEARWWE can't hold us back from winning this war. esp. with MariaLKanellis and ashleymassaro11 - did I stutter?

"What a bitch!" Maria slammed her hand down on the door handle of the car. "I wasn't even involved and she mentioned me!"

"Obviously she's got no class." Candice adjusted her bangs in a compact mirror and then looked over at Maria. "I wouldn't worry about her."

ashleymassaro11: kkorklan91 and vavaveronica need to get lives other than their nightlives. don't quit your day jobs girls.

MariaLKanellis: DEARWWE is going to destroy McCoolMichelleL and her day care services tonight LIVE ON RAW.

misslayel: I'd like to ask that DEARWWE kindly sod off chelle & the girls - that'd be great.

kkorklan91: ashleymassaro11 bite me blondie.

AmyDumas: I'd like to ask that misslayel get back to England where she belongs & never come back.

REALLiSAMARiE: turning off my twitter notifications because blowing up my phone is classy. thanks kkorklan91 and divas army.

"This isn't over, but my phone's dying and we're getting on the plane." Kennedi shoved her phone into her pocket angrily. "They are not winning this."

Sorry for excessive usage of the horizontal rule (the line that separates sections of the story) during the Twitter War. .-. I couldn't think of a better way to separate everything, haha. ANYWAY. Review what you think!
