chapter 13

Two years have passed since izuru fell in love aiko, and there puppy love did not fade during those two years, but instead became stronger, and more mature.

"Misaki can you come down here for a moment?" usagi called me down stairs just as I finished dusting the upstairs. I walked down and saw usagi on the couch looking at a magazine.

"What is it usagi?" I wiped the beads of sweat off of my forehead and sat next to him on the couch.

"Someone circled things in my magazine with crayon…" I grabbed one side of the magazine and pulled in until I could see what he was talking about. Indeed things were circled but they weren't just things, they were rings.

"Usagi, I think we need to have a talk with our five years old." Usagi gave me a look, but shrugged it off as something normal. I called izuru into the living room and made him sit down in between the both of us.

"Izuru, what is this?" I showed izuru the circled pictures and he looked away. a blushed formed on his cheeks and he began to fidget. I sighed and waited for him to tell me.

"i-it's for aiko chan…he said that he wants a ring, so I circled the ones I thought would look good on him…" before I could lecture him on the price and how aiko chan would lose it, usagi patted izuru on the back and got up off the couch.

"Come on little man; let's go get you a ring for aiko chan!"

"Usagi!" I grabbed usagi by the shoulder and spun him around.

"What do you think you're doing?! You aren't planning to actually buy a real ring for a five year old are you?" usagi smiled and leaned down to talk in my ear.

"Don't worry, im just going down to that little shop down the street that sells fake rings that look real, okay?" I smiled at usagi and nodded my head, and with that my two boys left.

I waited

And waited

And waited

I was now pacing back and forth waiting for the boys to come home. They had been gone for over an hour and they weren't home yet. I didn't want to do it, but I decided that I was going to call usagi. I picked up my phone and dialed Usagi's number then put it to my ear.

Ring, ring, ring-cck "hello?"

"Ah, usagi where are you, it's dinner time!"

"eh hold on a sec- *ruffling sounds* izuru put that in your pocket…no the other one…good…you still there, misaki?"

"Yes I am."

"Well, we stopped somewhere on the way home and kind of got a little side track, but were on our way right now."

"oh, I see well get home soon were having soba noodles for dinner."

"See you soon, misaki."

"Yeah, you too."

"bye…"

"bye"

I hung up and sat down on the couch. I lay down with a sigh and fell asleep.

I woke up to the front door opening and I sat up. Usagi was home with izuru, and they were just now taking off their coats.

"Ah, welcome home boys." I looked up to the clock and found that it was an hour after I had called them.

"Where have you been!?" before I could scream and yell at usagi for being out too late, he turned to izuru.

"Go put that ring in a special spot in your room okay?" izuru nodded and ran up to his room. I put my hands on my hips and glared at usagi. Usagi sighed and walked passed me. I turned around and tried lecture.

"Usagi you-eh?" usagi turned around and in his hand was a blue velvet box. He handed it to me with a smile, a smile that made my heart pound.

"i-is that…for me?" usagi nodded his head and slid it into my hand. I gently lifted the top, and the lovely gold glow of a ring greeted me.

"Happy anniversary, mi-sa-ki." I had forgotten… I had forgotten our anniversary, and now I felt stupid.

"you forgot, didn't you misaki…?"

"n-no i—I didn't…I've studied…" I stuttered in a low whisper.

"What was that?"

"I've studied."

"For what?" usagi inched closer and I looked down with a blush.

"y-you know…" usagi hummed and lifted up my chin, then placed a kiss on my lips.

"well I guess you will just have to show me…"
