My second term, and nothing has gotten any better in terms of… well everything. Usagi and I are still arguing about the name of our little girl, and izuru is still sneaking around with aiko. He thinks I don't know, but daddy knows everything. I was cleaning up the living room of toys and papers like I usually do, when I found usagis new draft for his book. It was neatly clipped together, and distracted my eye from the mess on the floor. I picked up the booklet, sat down on the couch and flipped to the middle of the stack.
…misaki straddled him with carful precision, careful not to wake the sleeping child next to them.
"Wait… this is naughty… we shouldn't do this while the child is here." Misaki whispered.
I stopped there and threw the booklet. Why does he have to wright about everything that happens to us!? I continue to clean up. I moved from the living room to the bathroom to clean. I was expecting a fairly clean bathroom that just needed a quick wipe down, but what I got was the exact opposite.
. *plug your ears*
"IZURU USAMI! GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!" I yelled as loud as I could witch take the breath out of me. I panted and waited for the sound of footsteps to come running down the stairs. I heard usagi walk into izuru's bedroom and tell him to go to me. I heard the little feet run down the stairs and around the corner.
"Yes daddy?"
I scowled at my son harshly, which made my almost six year old shiver in fear.
"Izuru, what is the meaning of this?"
I indicate the bathroom, which was covered in water, toothpaste, and gel, but on top of the mess was a pair of scissors and a pile of pink hair in the sink. Izuru looked into the bathroom and instantly remembered what he did.
"I gave aiko a haircut because he said that his bangs were too long! I'm going to be a barber when I grow up daddy!"
I sighed at the statement.
"izuru you are going to help daddy clean this up, do you hear me?!" izuru nodded his head and ran to the kitchen to get a rag. I began to clean up the hair from the sink when the doorbell rang.
"Coming! Coming!"
I jogged to the door and pressed the intercom.
"Yes?"
"It's Saichi, open up!" realizing that aiko's mother was on the other end I quickly buzzed them in. I knew Mrs. Saichi was going to be very mad about this interaction between our sons, but at the moment I was just hoping that she wouldn't take legal action against me, after all she is a lawyer. Before I knew it, she was knocking at my door fiercely. I opened it up and she marched in with aiko in tow.
"G-good morning Mrs. Saichi."
"Cut the crap! Look at what your son did to my baby!" aiko was moved to the front of his mother so I could see the damage.
"What's wrong with it? He looks adorable." Aiko's mother scowled at me and got in my face.
"Can you not see how unreasonably short his hair is? And look at how jagged the ends are!" I looked at aiko once more. His hair was indeed shorter and his hair wasn't cut by a professional, but the job itself wasn't half bad for a five year old. At least he didn't have chunks missing from his head.
"Mrs. Saichi, hair grows back…but if you really want me to take responsibility I'll take him down to the barber shop later today and have his hair done by a professional so that it will grow back properly, how does that sound?"
Aiko's mother crossed her arms and looked at the watch on her wrist.
"That's fine with me, as long as you're paying for the damage; I have no right to complain. I have to go to work now, but when I come to pick him up he better look better than this ragged mess now. Good day." The mother slammed the door and walked away leaving me and aiko in the entrance. Izuru ran in from the kitchen and hugged aiko. Aiko blushed and smiled before hugging back.
"Aiko chan! Did your mommy like your haircut?" aiko shook his head and grabbed izuru's hands.
"No she didn't, but I love my haircut, because it came from izuru, and I love izuru!" izuru smiled and pecked aiko on the cheek.
"I love aiko chan too"
I smiled. I just loved it when the two of them did cute things like this. Taking a bath together, eating together, laughing together, even just talking to one another gave a flowery, pink ambiance that showed their love for each other. I had to force the smile off my face, knowing that I had to stay mad at the two. They needed to be punished, or they will never learn.
"boys…go clean up the mess you made last night right now or you will be forbidden to see each other for a whole week, do I make myself clear?" I put a hand on my hip and looked down fiercely at the two. Izuru pouted and aiko looked away unfazed.
"A whole week, But daddy that's sooo long!" I shifted my weight, getting tired of standing, and pointed towards the bathroom.
"Go clean it now and the punishment won't happen, will it?" izuru pouted and grabbed aiko's hand.
"Let's go aiko! I don't want to go away from you." The two ran into the bathroom and started cleaning which left me with some alone time. I sat of the couch and turned on the TV. I turned it to my favorite cop drama and watched it half-heartedly. My daughter was stirring inside of me, she was restless and kicking. It reminded me that I had a life inside me and it made me feel a pinprick of joy and excitement.
Two more months; just two more months until I finally get to see her. I can't wait!
I placed a hand on my belly and rubbed it caringly. She was going to be beautiful, loving, maybe even a little obsessive and carefree like her father. And most of all she is going to be loved, cared for and happy throughout her life with only a few hardships. That's what I wanted for my little girl, however we don't always get what we wish for, and I will soon learn that in two months, but for now it's an untold story.

"We're finished cleaning daddy!"
I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up the clock. It had already been an hour since I sat down. My show was over and the boys were done cleaning. I had gotten lost in my thoughts again, what a bad habit of mine.
I got up from the couch and walked stiffly over to the bathroom. I peaked in only to see a sparkling clean bathroom with no hair, toothpaste or gel to be seen. I smiled and patted izuru's head.
"Good job little bear. You too Aiko." The two smiled happily. I was glad that I didn't have to separate these two. I was sure that izuru would become depressed if he couldn't see Aiko for a week.
Usagi walked down from the bedroom to us.
"Why are we all crowded around the bathroom?" I giggled at the comment and suddenly remembered what I had to do today.
"Neh Usagi, I have to take Aiko to the barbers, and I was thinking of getting Izuru one too, did you want to come with us?" Usagi quirked an eyebrow.
"Sure, and while we're at it lets get lunch, I'm starving." I laughed and nodded my head. I called the boys to get their coats on and we left the condo. The barber shop was only a few blocks away. It was a walking distance so we walked together.
We laughed.
We talked…
I was lost in my little bright and happy world…
I didn't realize, and I wish I had…
The sidewalk was lifted slightly by the roots of a cherry tree.
I didn't see the danger…
Izuru jumped in front of me and…
One miss step…one little movement…
I fell…
I fell...!
I heard something snap against the ground.
I fell on her…
I fell on him…
"MISAKI! IZURU!"
I heard usagi calling us.
What's wrong usagi?
I got up on my elbows to see my son underneath me.
Red…
What's that? Red? What's red?
Blood?
"BlooD! BLOOD! Usagi call an ambulance!"
The blood was all over, and izuru wasn't moving. I was afraid not only for my son's life, but also for my daughter's. I had fallen directly on her and him. The some blood could have been mine, but I knew that it was mostly izuru's.
I was scared.
I was blacking out.
The last thing I saw that day was red dyeing my sons chocolate colored hair.
