So I hope my fans are still out there. Hoping. Waiting. Dreaming. 😅 I don't know why I keep letting so much freaking time pass between updates. Sorry, loves!
Update on me: My son is now nearly two and I got another bun in the oven eh heh heh... So hopefully I'll actually finish Teach Me within a normal time period. Love you all and enjoy!
PS: If you haven't read All Tied Up go read it! This continues from there and it's an awesome story 😆
I took a minute to compose myself after the colonel left. My breath was still heavy and I was hotter now than when I'd first gotten to the nurse's office. That bastard was just so—!
I swallowed, still feeling the echo of his warm hard member pressed against my skin.
Damn him, but I was screwed. My body wanted him so freaking much.
I wanted him so freaking much. I took a deep breath and slapped my cheek. Head in the game, Elric. We had a mission to do here and I wasn't going to let Ava get hurt because I couldn't keep it in my pants.
The nurse still wasn't back yet so I shrugged and walked out the door. I had no idea where the lunchroom was so I wandered down the hall aimlessly. I rounded a corner and crashed into what felt like a brick wall. My ass hit the floor hard and I cursed under my breath.
"You okay, kid? I didn't see you there." A huge middle aged man with a receding hairline loomed over me, a thick hairy arm held out to help me up. He reminded me a bit of Armstrong.
I leaped to my feet on my own, my hands snapping into fists. "Who you calling so small a mouse wouldn't spot them with a magnifying glass!? I yelled instinctively before slamming my mouth shut.
The man's eyebrows raised and he flashed a toothy grin. "Well okay then. I can see you're fine."
I grimaced and muttered, "Sorry."
The giant man let out a booming laugh. "You new here or something? I'm Mr. Berk, the gym teacher. I'd love to see what someone as feisty as you would do in the gym."
Gym? Like wrestling and fighting? Now that sounded like my kind of class! "I'm just here for today. I don't know if gym is on my schedule."
Mr. Berk scratched his head. "Pity." He shrugged.
He started to walk away and I called after him, "Hey, how do I get to the cafeteria?"
"Keep walking, kid," he said without turning back. "It's just down the hall. Make a left."
"Okay then," I muttered.
It wasn't hard to find the cafeteria after that. I heard the rumble of voices before I even got inside. I looked around a bit lost at first, but then I spotted Ava and she waved me over. I grabbed a tray and some random food stuff and joined her and her friends at the table. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the colonel talking to Al near the sinks and my face flushed as the bastard looked my way. I looked down quickly before anyone noticed.
Lunch passed by pretty fast, and to be honest the rest of the day was thankfully boring. Much to my disappointment and Ava's relief, we didn't have gym on our schedule. Before I knew it, the final bell was ringing and Ms. Harrow, the literature teacher was telling us to read chapters 12 though 22 of a book I'd read at least ten years ago.
"So what now?" I asked Ava.
"Well I'm headed to the library until five. My driver picks me up after I'm done there. It was nice meeting you, Edaline. Maybe we can hang out some time."
"Uh yeah that would be great," I said thinking quickly. "But actually I'd love to check out the library if you don't mind me tagging along. The co—my uncle said he had to stay late to talk to the headmistress. I'm sure he'll find me when he's ready to go."
Ava pauses, surprised. "Sure, I don't mind. I help out there most days after school so I'll be busy, but you're welcome to come."
I grinned in relief and followed her down the long halls to the library.
You'd think a preppy private school would have better reading material. The only books of any interest were off limits to students. I sighed and slumped down at a corner table, pretending to flip through a book on—I glanced down—Brittentia. In reality, I was keeping a close eye on Ava. No one had made any sort of move on her yet and whoever wanted to use her to get to her father didn't have much time left to do it. I wasn't going to screw this up now by being careless. I played with a loose thread on my glove absentmindedly as Ava passed my table.
She stopped, books stables in her arms to be put away, and asked hesitantly, "So, not to be rude or anything, but are the gloves a fashion statement or...?"
I froze, startled. It wasn't something I even thought about anymore. "Uh, I burned my hands when I was younger. The gloves are just to stop people from staring."
I could have just told her the truth about my automail arm. It wasn't like The Fullmetal Alchemist was the only one with a metal arm in Amestris, but that would have lead to even more questions. This was just easier.
"Oh. Sorry I asked."
"It's fine." I glanced at the clock on the wall. Five to five and still no signs of any impending attack. Unless you count a sleepy looking librarian sneaking chips when she thought no one was looking.
Ava finished putting the books away and grabbed her bag. "Well I'm off. Tony will probably be waiting for me out front."
"I should be going too," I said jumping up. "Must-Uncle Roy is probably done with whatever he was doing."
We walked to the main entrance together and I watched Ava climb into a sleek black Mercedes. I waved to her as she drove away, glad that she was hopefully out of danger. I guess the threat was a dud after all.
The colonel came out of the building behind me and handed me my phone. "Everything went okay?" he asked, his eyes meeting mine.
I shrugged. "Just a boring day of high school. Your intelligence must have been off. Nothing special to report."
The colonel's lips twitched into a smirk. "Nothing special? Nothing at all happen today?"
I glared at him. "Nothing memorable," I huffed, stomping down the front steps. "Just some pervy old teacher in my history class. He can't seem to keep his hands to himself."
The colonel laughed. "That's funny. I seem to remember a sexy student with a—"
I smacked his arm as we reached his car. "Not another word, bastard! Just get me home—I'm exhausted. Who knew doing nothing all day could wear you out?"
"Oh no, Ed. You aren't getting out of our date that easily."
Our date. Damn—I had forgotten.
"I'll drop you off at home so you can change—" His eyes flicked over my body for a second—"though I'd be fine if you didn't." He grinned cheekily.
"Shut up you bastard! Like hell I'm staying in this uniform!"
"Well I'd be fine with you out of it too," the bastard replied immediately. "If you really want to skip this date..."
I growled. "I told you before, didn't I?! I'm not that easy!"
Mustang pulled up to the military dorms. "I'd never call you easy, Ed."
I turned to him a reply hot on my lips, but before I could get a word out the colonel leaned over and kissed me gently. I leaped back looking around frantically.
"What the hell! What if someone had seen us?"
"They would be jealous of the lucky colonel who gets to kiss the most amazing girl?" Mustang replied.
I made a rude gesture. "I'm being serious, bastard!"
The colonel grinned. "Relax. I pulled up around back on purpose. I didn't think you'd want anyone seeing you like this either way. And knowing you," he raised an eyebrow, "there's still a giant hole in the floor of your room leading to the boiler room."
I looked away uncomfortably.
"That's what I thought. I'll be back to pick you up in half an hour."
I climbed out of the car fully aware of the colonel eyeing my legs. "We better be getting food too!" I yelled after him as he drive away.
That's it for now! Hopefully won't take me two and a half years to update again...
It should only be another chapter or two before the end soooooo... love you all!
