Chapter 2
(Author's Note: Sorry that it took me so long to update this fanfic. I hope that you will still enjoy this fanfic. The only reason it took so long is because I writer's block on this fanfic.)
Recap:
Fenfir was surprised that his daddy was agreeing with mystery girl and yet he was confused. However, when his father said something in old nors; he was surprised when the mystery girl replied back in old nors.
"Loki?"
"Yes, Mayura?"
"I have a feeling that your daughter, Hel will drop by soon."
"I see."
"Daddy?" Rosa said.
"Yes, Rosa?"
"Don't get mad but sister, Hel is dating Hemmy."
Both Loki and Mayura were surprised by this, but they understood that the little ones couldn't said Hemdil's name right.
Loki and Mayura looked towards the door.
"Loki, are you okay about Hel and Heimdall dating?" Mayura asked curiously.
"Not really, Mayura because he harmed you but I'm thinking of a way to test him if he is serious about dating Hel." Loki replied.
"Uh-oh?" Lunara said.
"What is it, Lunara?" Yamino asked.
"Daddy's thinking of something evil to do to Heimy." Lunara stated.
"Lunara, it's probably the test that mommy said that daddy had come up with when he had found out that Heimy was in love with sister, Hel." Rosa said.
Loki, Fenfir, Yamino, and Mayura were stunned to hear that.
"That's right, Rosa because mommy said that daddy would use the same test if any guys wanted to date us when we got older." Lunara said.
"What exactly is the test?" Yamino asked curiously.
Even Fenfir wanted to know about this test that his daddy had come up with.
"It's made up of four tasks in order for the god or goddess to prove themselves if the wish to date any offspring of daddy, Loki." Rosa said.
"The test isn't exactly evil, Rosa and Lunara." Mayura said.
"It is, mommy, when daddy changes the tasks every so often; however, daddy the tasks hard for Heimy so he could see how much that Heimy cared for Hel when Grandpa wanted him dead." Lunara said.
Hearing that he, Loki had created a test of tasks for any god or goddess that wished to be in realtionship with his children was something to hear. Although, he wasn't sure what the tasks were that he had created for Heimdall but he could pretty much figure it out with small details from Rosa and Lunara.
Mayura just smiled at Loki because what Rosa and Lunara had said which let her know that he was a very protective father over his daughters as well as his sons.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door to his office.
"Come in." Loki said.
Hel and Heimdall walked in and they were surprised to see two little girls sitting beside Mayura; then they looked at Loki who was smiling with a mischevious smile.
"Dad, are you okay?" Hel asked curiously.
Loki didn't answer at the moment.
"Um...sister, Hel?" Yamino said.
"Yes, brother?" Hel said looking Yamino.
"Things have become a little strange right now." Yamino said.
"How so, brother?" Hel asked.
"Well, father found out that he married Ms. Mayura recently and that he had two twin daughters with her. They are sitting beside her right now." Yamino said.
Loki was watching Hel's reaction to the news that Mayura was her step-mother and that she had two little twin sisters.
Mayura also watched Hel's reaction to the news.
Hel's eyes went wide with shock at hearing this and said, "Father, when did you marry a mortal?!"
Loki looked at Hel and said, "Apparently, Mayura is no longer a mortal woman. Mayura and myself are still trying figure that out. However, Heimdall will have at least three or four tasks to complete if he wishes to date you, Hel."
Heimdall was shocked that Loki knew that he was secretly dating Hel.
"What are these tasks, father?" Hel asked.
"I haven't decided yet." Loki stated.
Fenfir looked over at his soon to be step-mother because he thought about the mystery girl making his father happy. He also recalled how worried his daddy had been when the mystery girl was in what appeared to be a coma for 4 years after one their mysteries sort of speak and then decided to lay on her lap while she petted him and accepted that the mystery girl was going to be his new mother even though it took him a few minutes; but he wondered what his father was planning for Heimdall.
Hel looked at Mayura and said, "How can you be no longer a mortal?"
Mayura looked at Hel and said, "Loki believes that it might have something to do with an acceident that I got into four years ago. Hel, I know that you don't like me but please understand that I'm shocked about all of this and so is your father."
"So the two little girls sitting beside you are my little twin sisters?" Hel questioned.
Mayura nodded.
"What are their names?" Hel asked.
"Rosa and Lunara." Mayura said.
Loki finally thought of what he was going to put Heimdall through and motioned for Heimdall to follow him while Mayura and Hel talked to each other.
Heimdall walked out of the office with Loki.
"Mayura, why exactly are Rosa and Lunara here?" Hel said.
"They told us that Odin delcared war on Misgard just because Loki along with myself wouldn't come to Asgard. They also said that Loki and myself sent them to this point in time where they would be safe." Mayura said.
"So, Odin has declared war on Misgard because you and dad didn't want to go to Asgard?" Hel said.
Mayura nodded.
"But that's crazy." Hel said.
"I agree since I was pretty much dense at the time when I first met Loki. However, your father had become my only friend at the time as well and I owe him a lot for that." Mayura said.
"How will your dad react to all of this?" Hel questioned.
"Even though I hate to lie to him; I have no choice to do so now that I'm no longer a mortal." Mayura said sadly.
Suddenly there was another knock on the door.
"Come in." Mayura said.
Mayura was shocked when her father walked in.
"Mayura, thank goodness you're okay." Misao said.
"Dad, it's been awhile." Mayura said.
"Where's Loki?" Misao asked.
"He's out right now." Mayura said.
Hel watched the interaction with her soon to be step-mother and her father.
"Mayura, then you can explain this letter to me that he wrote to me four years ago?" Misao said.
"Huh?" Mayura said as her father handed the letter to her.
Mayura read the letter out loud because she knew that Hel was curious as well:
Mr. Daidouji,
I am writing this letter to inform you that Mayura is in a coma like state and I'm not sure when she'll awake; but I'm keeping her stablized right now and I will help her when she does awaken. You could say that I'm detective that uses illousons at times as a precauion; however, I didn't know that Mayura had followed me that day and I take full responsibilty for her situation that she's in.
Please do not be angery with me because Mayura has been a dear friend to me and I've enjoyed her friendship dearly and over that time, I may have developed feelings for her.
I writing this letter as I am sitting by her side while she is in this state and I want to let you know that I will try to help her get caught up with her school work when she awakes because I know that her education is an important factor to you.
I will do my best to protect her better from now on by being more alert.
Again I'm very sorry for what has happen.
Loki
Mayura started crying; Hel had never seen her cry until now. However, Mayura sort of explained Hel's father's letter to her father as best she could without revealing that they were all Nors gods and goddesses.
Misao saw teenage daughter that was now eighteen and able to make her own decisions. He decided to give his daughter a hug then said, "I'm not exactly sure how Loki does his illusions but I think he was in a strange way asking if he could court you and if so; then he has my blesing to do so."
Hel was shocked that Mayura's father was allowing her father to date her future step-mother.
Misao saw Hel and asked Mayura, "Who is this young woman, Mayura?"
Mayura had to think quickly and said, "This Hel and she's a friend that has been helping me. She's a relative's of Loki's; she 's been helping me with a few things since I awoke from the coma of four years."
Hel blinked for a moment because she (Mayura) had told Mr. Daidouji that she (Hel) was related to Loki but Mayura hadn't told her how she was related to Loki.
"Well, thanks for helping my daughter." Misao said shaking Hel's hand.
Just at that moment, Loki and Heimdall walked back into the office. Heimdall looked completely tired for some reason.
"Mr. Daidouji, what brings you here?" Loki could only question.
"Drop the illusion and I'll tell you." Misao said.
Loki reverted to his adult form that he had let Mayura see once and she had called him a god or angel; he couldn't remember exactly.
Suddenly, everyone heard a loud thud.
"Mayura?!" Misao said seeing his daught faint suddenly.
"I forgot that when I take the illusion off that it has that affect on Mayura." Loki said suddenly.
Misao looked at Loki and said, " Are you saying that you've taken off the illusion before and my daughter has seen you like this?"
Loki nodded then said, "The only thing is that she didn't faint the first time; but now it seems that it has a powerful affect now that she is a young woman."
Heimdall looked at Hel confused at what just happened.
"Ms. Mayura?!" Yamino said as he brought her a cup a tea.
Mayura was coming around and said, "Thank you, Yamino. I forgot that I faint now sometimes when Loki is like that."
"How many times has that happened, Mayura?" Misao asked curiously.
"At least, a few times that I can count; but it's not Loki's fault." Mayura said.
"So what would you think if I told you that Loki can start courting you and has my blessing to marry you when it comes to that point?" Misao asked Mayura.
Loki's eyes went wide with shock but he caught Mayura before she fainted from shock again.
"So, you're okay with you daughter dating him?" Hel finally asked Misao.
Misao looked at Hel and said, "Yes, I am and sure that he'll an excellent husband to Mayura when the time comes."
"And if they have children?" Heimdall just had to ask.
"Then I'll be a happy grandpa." Misao said as he decided to leave.
After he left, Loki wasn't sure what had happened while he had put Heimdall through his little test or tasks.
"Hel, what happened exactly?" Loki questioned.
"Mayura's father wanted her to explain your letter to him four years ago." Hel said.
"I see." Loki said.
"Loki, he thought that the letter was expressing your love to me. When you were trying to tell him that I was hurt and you were doing everything to help me." Mayura said.
Rosa and Lunara started laughing so suddenly that it caught everyone in the room off guard.
"What's so funny, you two?" Hel asked curiously.
"Mommy told us of Grandpa's reaction when he found out that he given his daughter to a Nors god to be his wife. He had been in complete shock that didn't speak for two months then he had found that sister Hel, brother Yamino, and brother Fenfir were daddy's kids well that he fainted from that shock that his grandchildren were Nors gods and goddesses. As well as that mommy was a Nors goddess herself because daddy had saved mommy." Rosa said.
Both Mayura and Loki looked at each other with a smile for some reason.
"Grandpa Daidouji said he had alway wondered why mommy like hanging out at the detective agency run by daddy. He told us that it may have been the way of the ancestors for mommy to fall in love with a Nors god and just not any Nors god but the Nors god of mischief." Lunara said.
"No offense, father but how are you going to explain Rosa and Lunara?" Hel asked.
"Well, we thought of a story of sorts." Loki said.
"What's that, father?" Hel said.
"It's were Rosa and Lunara are to pretend part of a mortal program known as 'Parents for young children that no parents' when reality that they are mine and Mayura's children. It's just something to tell the other mortals really or something like that." Loki said.
Heimdall was in shock to hear that the two little girls were Loki's twin daughters.
"Heimdall, you're dating Hel so I suggest that you understand tha no one can know about them unless we need them to." Mayura said.
Heimdall nodded because during the tasks that Loki had him do for the test that he had to do in order to date Hel; he knew that Loki was protective of his family. Loki had made him prove his worth to be allowed to date Hel that Loki chose for him to cross a volcanoe on a tight rope followed by a few other horrorfic and deathfying tasks.
Mayura picked up Rosa and Lunara and walked out of the office to put the girls down for a nap; Fenfir followed her as well.
Loki looked at Heimdall as well as Hel after Mayura left with Rosa and Lunara and said, "Heimdall has proven himself to be worthy of dating you, Hel. However, if he betrays that trust your brothers will handle him. Do I make myself clear, Hel?"
"Yes, father." Hel said.
Heimdall could hear the threat in Loki's voice and he knew that Loki was serious.
~In the guest room at the agency~
Mayura was putting down Rosa and Lunara for a nap since they probably tire just a little.
"Mommy?" Rosa said.
"Hm?" Mayura said.
"Is daddy upset?" Rosa asked.
"Why do you think that your father is upset?" Mayura said.
"Because sprung all of this on you an him so suddenly." Rosa said.
Fenfir curled up in between Lunara and Rosa.
"He's not upset but he is worried about Odin finding out about the two of you and possibliy using the two of you against us." Mayura said.
"We didn't realize that we were coming during a bad time." Lunara said.
"Girls, why don't you get some rest. Your big brother, Fenfir will be with you to protect you." Mayura said.
"Momma?" Lunara said.
"Hm?" Mayura said.
"Rosa and I are glad to see you and daddy along with our syblings before Grandpa goes bersk. We can tell that you and daddy care for each other." Lunara said.
"Girls, I would do anything for your father as well as my family and the family that I came to know because of your father." Mayura said.
Both girls fell asleep.
However, Fenfir looked at the woman that was going to be his step-mother and could tell that she was worried for some reason.
"What's wrong?" Fenfir asked looking her.
"Fenfir, protect the twins because I have feeling that Odin is going to try and use me once again against Loki very soon and no matter what happens keep them safe." Mayura said sadly.
"Yes, mother. I will protect my little sisters." Fenfir said.
Mayura smiled and then left the room.
...Back in Loki's Office...
Loki was talking with Hel and Heimdall. Then Thor, Freyja and Freyr along with Nor Sisters entered his office and he knew that this was going to be bad until Mayura entered the room.
"Mayura?" Loki said.
"Their asleep and Fenfir is with them." Mayura said.
Loki sighed with relief.
"What's going on, Loki?" Freyja questioned.
Mayura did something that no one expected including Loki; she silenced everyone with her finger.
No one could speak.
"Mayura and I are married to each other in the near future." Loki stated.
Everyone's eyes went wide with shock to hear that. Finally, Freyja asked, "How can you possibly marry a mortal, Loki?"
"I'm no longer a mortal, Freyja and yes I am aware of you all being Nors gods and goddesses." Mayura said suddenly.
"How is that possible?" Freyr asked.
"It happened when I was trying to solve a mystery and Mayura had followed me because she was concerned. I didn't realize that Mayura had followed until it was too late and she had taken the hit that was meant for me. Because of that, Mayura was in a coma for four years of her life and she awoke recently and now she is eighteen years-old. " Loki said.
Everyone was stunned to hear that.
Narugami . Thor spoke up saying, "Loki, if Mayura has become an immortal like us; won't Odin try to use her against you again?"
"There is always a possiblity of that or worse." Loki said.
Mayura couldn't shake the feeling that Odin may fact use her once again against her beloved Loki.
Loki noticed that Mayura was quiet and could tell that something was bothering her. He would talk about it with her later; considering they had company at the moment.
"Mayura, how could you marry, Loki!" Freyr said.
Mayura looked at Freyr and said, " Freyr, Loki and I were unaware that would be together as husband and wife until Rosa and Lunara appeared and told us what was going on in the future."
"Loki is mine, Mayura!" Freyja said.
Loki sighed and he hoped that Freyja didn't wake up the twins after Mayura had gotten them down for a nap. He still couldn't believe that Freyja still had a crush on him after he told her that Mayura and him will marry sometime in the future.
"Freyja, Loki and I are not exactly sure when that's suppose to happen." Mayura stated.
They all continued talk; but Loki grabbed Mayura and pulled her close to him. Mayura was surprised by Loki's action then he whispered for only her to hear, "What's bothering you, Mayura?"
Mayura whispered back to Loki, "I can't shake this feeling that Odin will try to use me against you again."
Loki understood Mayura's concern because Odin has used her against him so many times. He finally did something that shocked Mayura and that was he kissed her in front of the others. Mayura was surprised by the sudden kiss but she felt his feelings in the kiss and knew right then that Loki was serious about everything that has happened thus far.
Everyone in the room was shocked to see Loki kiss Mayura so suddenly. However, Yamino had a feeling that it was his father's way of reasuring his step-mother that everything will be okay.
"Just curious, but how Mayura get caught up with her classes?" Thor questioned.
"Koutaro brought Mayura's school work here so she could pass all of her classes and Ecchan transformed into Mayura and with Yamino's help got her school work done while she was in the coma. However, once Mayura woke up she enrolled in college online because her father would still wanted her to continue her education. It was durning that time that Mayura found out about myself, Yamino, Hel, and Fenfir as well as everyone else. However, she didn't mind that we were Nors gods and goddesses because she thought of us her friends." Loki stated.
"That sill doesn't answer how Mayura became immortal?" Thor said.
"I agree with Thor on that." Heimdall said.
"I do have a theory and so does Mayura." Loki stated recalling the memory.
~Loki recalling when Mayura was in coma like state~
Loki was sitting by Mayura's side while she was on the guest bed. He was doing everything to help Mayura by keeping her stablized with his magic as well as his nors god essence.
"Master Loki, Ms. Mayura has been here for two days so far; may I suggest letting her father know." Yamino stated.
"You're right, Yamino. I'm going to right him a letter sort of explaining what happened but notin great detail." Loki said.
Yamino had never seen his father like this before because his father, Loki, Nors god of Mischeif was very concerned over Ms. Mayura who is a mortal. Both him and Fenfir noticed that their father wouldn't leave her side because he was trying to help pull through her coma like state. They had been surprised when their father suggested that Ecchan transform into Ms. Mayura for a couple of days to make an appearance at Mayura's school for a while to keep her grades from slipping.
While Loki was doing his very best to keep her well because he wasn't going to let her die; because she was very important to him. He wasn't sure what this feeling was but he found himself reverting to his orginal form then laying down beside her outside the covers and letting his essence cover her; he would even hold her hand. That's how Yamino and Fenfir usually found him. They weren't sure what their father was doing but they knew that he must've had a reason for it.
Now it had been four years that Mayura had been in this coma like state. Loki didn't give up because he certainly was not going to give up. It was now, the second day of the New Year and Loki was still with Mayura. He had often heard Mayura refer to the mortal tale of Sleeping Beauty sometimes and he couldn't but wonder if it would work on Mayura. He leaned over from the bedside and decided to kiss her.
Mayura's eyes fluttered opened and she said, "Loki?"
Loki was stunned that that had actually worked.
"Mayura, you're awake!" Loki said happily.
"How long have I slept?" Mayura asked Loki.
"Four years to be exact." Loki answered.
"Four years?" Mayura said.
Loki nodded.
"I guess I missed four birthdays then." Mayura stated.
Loki grinned and said, "Ecchan, sort helped with that."
"Thank you for that, Loki." Mayura said.
"You're welcome, Mayura." Loki said.
"Loki, did you kiss me?" Mayura asked curiously.
"Yes, I did. By the way, this is my true form since I'm an illusionist." Loki lied.
"I guess that would make sense." Mayura stated.
"Mayura, I can only assume that you want to continue your education." Loki said.
"Yea, I do but I want to help you as well. So I'll apply to Tokyo University Online as well as attend the campus for some of the classes." Mayura said.
Loki and Mayura continued talking with each other.
~End of the recalled memory~
"So what exactly is your theory, Loki?" Thor questioned.
"Well, it might be because I used some of my Nors god essence." Loki said.
"YOU DID WHAT?!" The others screamed.
Mayura saw how everyone was upset with Loki about what he did; but she knew that he had a reason for what he did. She was concerned and said, "Please, don't be angry with Loki."
Everyone looked at Mayura and they could tell that they had upset her.
"Loki was only doing what he thought was right because I had followed him and knowing that the doctors here probably wouldn't be able to help me; he did since it had something to do with Odin." Mayura said.
Loki was a little surprised that the others had upset Mayura and wondered if where he had shared his essence with her in order to keep from slipping away during those four years had made her a little sensetive to him some how.
