Jason fell against the doorway of the first entrance of Titan Tower, the one that lead to the stairway that brought guest to the front door of the Titan's actual quarters. He stumbled into the tower, out of the rain, and began to make his way up the stairs, leaning against the rail as he did. When he reached the top, he knocked as hard as he could with his elbow. In that moment, Jason probably should have been thinking of an excuse as to why he was showing up with no clothes and out of breath, but the pain from his now broken hands was the only thing he could seem to focus on. He knocked once more. No answer. He fell against the hallway wall and slid to the floor.

The Titans pulled into the garage, returning from their battle at the museum. As the members crawled out of the T-car, Raven immediately sensed a familiar presence. It can't be him. She thought to herself, though she could not deny his unique energy filling her from head to toe. She disappeared into her dark portal without a single word to the others. She reemerged in front of Jason, half passed out on the floor. She teleported them to her room.

Jason moaned in pain as Raven set him down onto her bed. "We've got to stop meeting like this." Red X weakly joked, but was met with silence and a stern face. After a few moments, that truly felt like an eternity of awkwardness for the both of them, Raven finally spoke. "Just your hands that need attention then?" He was amazed at her ability to sense his needs without even the slightest explanation from him. This both impressed and terrified the broken thief. Can she feel everything I feel? Even what I feel for-

His thoughts were interrupted by a rough knock on Raven's bedroom door. The pair jumped, startled at the sudden noise that cut through the thick tension between them. Raven walked to the door and hesitated to open it. She felt the boy wonder on the other side. Impeccable timing. She cracked the door and, with a sharp tone, made it clear to Robin he was unwelcome. "What?" Robin fringed his eyebrows but quickly softened his expression. He'd been trying for weeks to break the very thick ice now between him and the young woman he longed for. "Just, um…" he began to scratch the back of his head nervously. "checking in. You disappeared suddenly." Raven rolled her eyes. "Obviously to avoid being bothered." With that she closed the door. She took no pleasure in being cold to him. But she couldn't risk having the door open any longer. Even without the suit, Jason's sudden presence would raise way too many questions.

Raven turned to see Jason now sitting half way up on her bed. He stared at her seriously and intensely. This sent a chill up and down her spine. She snickered softly to herself. I face demons, monsters, and villains… and THIS is what leaves me uneasy. She was yanked out of her thoughts when she heard Jason clear his throat. "Not to sound ungrateful, or rush you in anyway, but my other hand is still smashed into a dozen pieces and it hurts quite a bit." He forced a laugh. Raven made her way to his side, taking his purple and blue hand into her own. He relaxed, despite the pain, once he felt the warmth from her hands. He let her scent in with a deep breath. An overwhelming wave of emotions washed over him. I missed you.

"What happened?" Raven asked. Red X used his now healed hands to adjust his position on the bed and face his… he didn't know what to consider her. "I fell roller blading." That cocky smile she had grown accustomed to during their time together crept onto his face. She was not entertained. Feeling him purposely keeping his distance from her, she refrained from expressing any further interest. She stood and made her way to the door. "I'll get you a Titan sweat suit from our weight room so you can be on your way." Regretting the way he had decided to initially interact with her, he jumped from the bed and grabbed her wrist before she exited the room.

Black aura began to fill the room and Jason quickly let go of the empath he cared so deeply for. "I'm sorry…" he whispered. She swiftly faced him and gave him a hard shove. Not the slap she had imagined over and over in her head, but gratifying nonetheless. "What is it that you're sorry for exactly? Putting your hands on me that night? Leaving without a word? Or showing up only because you needed something from me?" Her cloak hid her expression, but Red X could hear the hurt in her tone. She looked away, embarrassed, and took a deep breath. The black energy began to shrink from around them. "Doesn't matter. I'll be back with clothes." "I was wrong." His expression was gentle. Her eyes met his. "You… turn me into… I mean, you make me feel…behave… foolishly." He stepped toward her. "And that isn't okay by me." He took her hand into his. This made her heart sink and her cheeks burn. "Because that means I have a weakness. That I am weak… for you." He placed his forehead against hers and began to speak so soft it was almost a whisper. "But I can't decide…" The distance between them was disappearing, making Raven place her hands on his chest to attempt keeping him from getting any closer. "Whether or not I can be without you."

Her attempt to maintain the distance between them provoked Jason to let go of her hand and warp his arms around her waist and pull her closer to him. He heard a small gasp escape her mouth. She began to relax her arms, the only thing between her body and his. She found herself being overwhelmed by his sudden boldness toward her. "Jason, we-" "I knew I missed you. Didn't even realize how much until seeing you." Feeling his breath on her lips as he spoke made her skin feel as if it was on fire. Everything she wanted to say to him became jumbled in her mind, and the thoughts that she could make out became stuck in her throat.

Her body seemed to suddenly have a mind of its own. Her hands ran upward from his chest to around his neck. Her fingers became entangled with his now shaggy hair. This reminded her of the mental note she made to herself about teasing him on his new appearance. She opened her mouth to comment but was cut off by his lips meeting hers. Her eyes widened with shocked for just a moment, but soon she found herself relaxed in his embrace. Her eyes closed and she kissed him back, forgetting the world around them.
