A/N: This idea, and another one, struck me after rewatching a few episodes of Dinotrux Supercharged Season 3 but mainly the final episode 'Ty vs D-Structs' as D-Stroy is last seen turning around, roaringf before racing off in an attempt to get out of the collapsing tunnel. I don't know if this will be a one-shot or a story but I will have to see which direction it takes. Enjoy.

D-Stroy charged forward as he dashed to get out of the tunnel, his mind filled with two things, anger and what his brother had said. "Not him! He's all yours." kept going around and around in his head as he hurtled along with rocks crashing down behind him in droves. His very life depended on getting out alive which was his main focus at that moment in time.
The tunnel was rapidly falling in behind him, and despite the fact that he had a good distance between the rocks that were coming down and himself, he was taking no chances as he knew that if he slowed down for even a second he would certainly be crushed into scrap and killed. The silver grey and black T-Trux tried to go faster but he was already going at top speed as a T-Trux's engine, especially his, was primarily built for power not speed.
But in this case he didn't care and, even over the sound of falling rocks, he could hear the triumphant cheers of the cowardly Dinotrux of the crater that had teamed up with Ty and friends against him and his treacherous little brother. He also knew that he couldn't slow down and that if he did it would be fatal. A loud grating sound made him look up as he was moving and he saw to his horror that a massive crack had appeared in the ceiling and was spreading rapidly along it.
Then he realised with horror that rocks were falling both behind and ahead of him. To add to that horror, the entrance was definitely smaller than what it had been a few moments before. Suddenly, a rock the size of a Cementasaur came down from the roof and smashed into his right side making him swerve out of control and into the side of the tunnel wall colliding with it hard, and he nearly went into a spin before regaining control.
He was quick to realise that wasn't his biggest problem, his vision had started to blur shortly after being hit by the rock and was slowly starting to go black. D-Stroy knew that he was losing consciousness, something he could not allow to happen in this situation. Despite the pain in his side and arm and the fact that he could black out at any second he charged on like a mad Trux even though he could see that the entrance to the tunnel had gotten even smaller.
With one last frantic combined burst of determination and terror he flung himself forward and crashed onto the ground outside feeling a moments agonising pain before everything went black. When he opened his eyes, he wondered if he had; for it was almost as dark as with them shut. He felt the cool night air about him for night; it was which meant that he had obviously been unconscious through the remainder of the day.
Slowly he pushed himself to his treads and looked around, not bothering to put his beams on, for he could see quite well in the dark, thanking the fact that he hadn't been found by either Scraptors or Scrapadactyls. Thankfully, though, he knew, as did all Trux, that only the latter of the two predators scrapped at night which meant that he didn't have much to worry about in that regard.
It was time to take stock of the situation. He was hungry, having not eaten since that morning before Skrap-It had reported seeing two of the Reptools that followed Ty sneaking around the garage. Add in fighting against overwhelming odds before running for his life straight afterwards had burned off a lot of the reserves of his great strength. Also, the pain in his upper right side and arm was screaming out to be taken seriously.
Under normal circumstances, he would have just shrugged it off, but being stuck in lands that he knew only a little about was not what he would call normal. Add to the fact that being a T-Trux meant he would stick out like a sore thumb was also far from normal. At that moment, all he could think of, besides the pain, was his "little brother" betraying him, the rage that he had felt since D-Structs's first act of treachery all those years ago and his extended absence.
All the time that had gone by, all the pain, injuries, suffering of nightmares and now, to cap it all, treachery when he had needed him most. The rage that was inside him forced itself up and up, refusing to be beaten until, after some many years, finally, and inevitably snapped. The roar that followed it echoed through the walls of rock like a thousand thunderstorms followed by the loud sound of rock after rock being smashed into smithereens.
This was done several more times again and again until finally, out of both breath, pain and weariness, he finally stopped. With his anger taken finally care of, he set off to try and find somewhere safe so that he might at least spend the night in some form of shelter. A cave was what he hoped to find or at the very least a place that was sheltered enough by rocks to keep the weather out.
He was tired, hungry, and the pain in his side was steadily worsening, D-Stroy knew all too well that he would have little chance against anything that might be out at that time and, despite the chance of Scraptors not being out, he wasn't taking any chances. The canyon seemed to be endless as he drove on hoping to find somewhere to rest for he was by now on the verge of exhaustion but, out of either pure determination or complete stubbornness, pressed on refusing to give up.
Eventually he found a small overhang which he decided would be better than nothing and rolling under it made himself as comfortable as he could among the rocks that were there and closed his eyes. He had not closed them for no more than a minute when a slight clanking noise disturbed him and when he opened them and saw what was there was nothing short of a complete surprise.
There a few yards away from him was a small, white Trux no bigger than a Scraptor, looking directly at him, unblinking and unwavering, with bright blue eyes, much like that of the previously mentioned menace. D-Stroy, somewhat uncharacteristically for him, was more curious than anything else which surprised him, for he had never seen a creature like it before and he knew pretty much everything that there was to know about other species of Dinotrux and Tool.
It was also the fact that it hadn't instantly attacked or run away from him considering the size difference between them that added in. Most things in the known world, minus Scraptors and Scrapadactlys, of course, would instantly do either of these actions. While it was just bigger than a Gluphosaur, it had a triangular shaped head with a sturdy, wiry build and was well balanced by its tail.
Like him, it had clawed hands, like that of a Desert Scraptor, not a normal one, it had three smooth blades on its body, two on its back in triangle shapes, one larger than the other, while the third was positioned along the end of the tail, like that of a Sawmetradon. It also had feet and wheels like a Gluphosaur but even these were unlike the glue spitting Trux as they bore some and no resemblance to its counterpart.
The white Trux then cocked its head to one side before it slowly made a small chirping sound which only served to heighten his overall curiosity. Then it turned and started off and, of course, he, without almost realising what he was doing, decided to try and follow it only for the Trux to speed up,m always keeping ahead of him but always close enough so he could see that it was still ahead of him.
Where it was leading him he did not know but he only hoped it wasn't into somewhere dangerous. Even when it wasn't in his field of vision and always seemed to stay ahead of him no matter how fast he drove to try and catch up with it. He didn't notice he was being led through a winding maze of different canyons in his attempts to keep up. He also felt himself getting more tired every second and knew that if he didn't stop soon he would collapse from exhaustion.
Suddenly, the white Trux rounded a left-hand corner and disappeared into a cave. Naturally, he stopped outside and waited for it to come out. When it didn't he took a bigger, and more dangerous, step and moved to the entrance but he could still not see where it had gone. Gathering himself together he slowly ventured inside and cautiously looked around the open space. There was no sign of the strange Trux anywhere as he could see no clear way out of the cave except the front entrance.
His eyes revolved around the cave hoping to see something that would show him where to look, but, again, nothing was there. No tracks or anything. It was as if it had vanished into thin air. Now that he wasn't moving about, the silver grey and black T-trux immediately felt tiredness sweep over him like a wave. Anyway, even if that rogue Trux was still lurking about somewhere he wasn't about to go looking for it.
As he slowly and methodically looked about the cave, he found that it was of a very good size. It wasn't as big as his old one but large enough to accommodate him and several other Trux, so, deciding to make the best out of his current situation, rolled over and settled down against the wall that was furthest away from the opening so that he would have slight advantage if anything or, more importantly, anyone, came snooping around and tried to get a piece of him.
When D-Stroy suddenly felt his eyelids start to flutter, he instantly remembered just how tired he was from fighting against the odds to running to save his life to following the strange, unknown Trux. The pain in his right side and arm had lessened somewhat, which was a bonus. He knew that he would have to take a look at it as soon as he got the chance to, and hopefully, find some way to repair it at the first opportunity that presented itself.
But at that moment all he wanted to do was rest and regain his strength for he knew that he would need all of it to survive in the coming days ahead. His eyes slowly but surely began to close. Despite this, he tried to stay awake as long as possible, a thousand thoughts running through his head, with one quickly making its way to the central forefront of his mental stage amidst its other contemporaries.
What would he do once morning did come? The silver grey and black T-Trux knew that he couldn't stay close to the crater, not at the risk of being seen and reported to Ty and his friends. With these thoughts plaguing his mind, his eyes finally closed. His engine slowed to a gentle purr as his tired body was at last given the chance it needed to recover from the hardships it had endured that day as, one by one his systems shut down.
He began, very quietly, to snore.
A cool night air drifted into the cave as the stars shone like pearls in the deep ocean. All around, everything was quiet. Just then something moved in the shadows and a Trux moved silently forward to stand just inside the entrance and gazed over at the sleeping T-Trux. The small white Trux from before stood silently listening to the deep, but quiet snores coming from D-Stroy. Once more a small chirp came from it and it rolled forward into the cave to stand in front of the larger Trux.
It looked over his injuries with a critical eye. His left shoulder had been severely bent out of place by the impact it had sustained from the falling rock while the large clawed forearm had been knocked out of its socket and was hanging on by only a few remaining strands of wire. The Trux shook its head in what was either sympathy, disbelief or contained anger no one could tell.
Finally, and after seeing that the silver grey and black male was indeed fast asleep, and was not going to be waking up until well after daybreak at that there was no doubt, it turned and rolled silently back towards the mouth of the cave and stood there once more and stared at D-Stroy, unmoving, with its bright, near ice blue, eyes unblinking. Speaking of which, its eyes darted round the inside of the cave and it gave a small nod of satisfaction, clearly pleased with what it had done.
The wind then picked up and started to swirl around the Trux in a small tornado of sorts. "The road to redemption will be long and hard for you D-Stroy," it said in a whispery voice, as if it was trying not to be heard. "But not impossible and you may find something, and someone, you weren't looking for at all." With these words said the wind spun faster and faster still until the Trux faded away in nothingness.
No sooner had it done so, did the wind start to die down and before it stopped completely, leaving only silence in its wake.
Despite being tired beyond belief when D-Stroy tried to sleep he had very nasty dreams, one of which caused him extreme distress. It was a replay of the battle in the crater but was changed in one key detail, a small detail in all but still extremely significant. Instead of D-Structs successfully capturing and using Revvit as a hostage to allow himself a chance to get out before he was overwhelmed and forced into the tunnel, something far more grisly happened in its place.

DREAM SEQUENCE
"This is your fault, brother!" he heard himself exclaim, wishing his audio receptors were faulty. He couldn't believe that he had heard himself say it. "My fault?" D-Structs barked back as he headbutted Garby while Skya latched onto his tail and pulled it round to prevent him from hitting Ton-Ton who slammed into his right side. "You've always been weak!" D-Stroy shot back, finally shoving off his attackers while his brother growled rabidly in response.
"Why? Why did I say that? Even now, when I need him the most, I'm focusing on hurting him?" he thought. Ton-Ton left out a yell as he charged at D-Stroy only for the T-Trux to flip him away with his horns. "No, you don't!" Sky cried, latching her hook around his left horn just as he was about to lunge forward at Jaffa, Prong and Heft grunting as she pulled him away from his targets.
D-Structs wasn't having an easier time as Flynt fired a jet of water making him choke before letting out a grunt as a Craneosaur slammed into his flank sending him spinning right into a head lock with Ty.
"Ty!" Revvit called from a position on a rock near the two T-Trux making them both look round at him. "We must start to drive them towards the tunnel."
In that one single moment D-Structs saw his chance for escape. Like a snake his tail shot out at the Reptool
, but, luckily for him, Ace stood nearby. She reacted quickly and slammed into Revvit, knocking him off the rock just in time. D-Structs missed. Ty growled furiously when he saw what darker T-Trux tried to do, he roared, pushing D-Structs back a couple of meters away. D-Stroy saw Ty turning his back on his brother before Trux started attacking him once again.
Two Dozeratops charged into him, pushing him back, he tried to turn and hit the Ankylodump that was heading his way, but a hook stopped him, pulling him away. A couple of Liftasaurs then started throwing rocks at him, Ankylodumps as well. The Dozeratops kept hitting him without a single miss since the Craneosaurs were setting him up for them perfectly.
He suddenly realised that these Trux weren't trying to force him out anymore, at least, not in one piece. Then, two Craneosaurs hooked onto his right side at the same time, separating his left tread from the ground and forcing him off balance. Next, a dark Dozeratops appeared between two tall orange figures, rolling towards him at high speed. When they hit him, that was it, D-Stroy helplessly fell on his right side, breathing rapidly from both exhaustion and pain.
His eyes widened when the angry Dinotrux gathered around him. He immediately engaged his tail, swinging it around in order to enable himself to get up. But, predictively enough, it was in vain, because the Dozeratops it was aimed at simply dodged it before landing a hit on his head. "Ah!" he cried out in response. The Trux pinned him down just to be sure.
Next he felt some liquid starting to cover his treads. It was the Cementasaurs, who were actually trying to stick him to the ground. When he attempted to fight back, they simply hit his exposed and undefended body much more firmly, it wasn't like they stopped once at any point. He felt the cold, clammy liquid getting into every mechanism where it shouldn't.
"D-Stroy, ugh, get up!" he heard D-Structs grunt from nearby. He was still, well, he wasn't fighting, he was receiving a beating. D-Stroy elevated his head, but before he could even try anything, he felt a sharp pain stab into the area near his engine, he looked back and saw what was causing it. He saw a horn inserted in the oval plate above his tread, pushed in so firmly that it cut through the metal.
He completely lost the feeling in the lower part of his body when the Dozeratops horn scratched a certain segment of his engine. His head quickly fell back down, he let out a slow groan as the sharp metal leisurely left his body. He shut his eyes, feeling something leaking out of him, oil or coolant, he couldn't tell. D-Stroy could just see glimpses of his brother in the distance before thin metal plates covered his eyes.
D-Story couldn't help him. He couldn't even get up, there was no possible way. Even D-Struct's voice seemed distant now, everything started blurring while he began to lose the feeling in his entire kicked and dented body. An Ankylodump heavily landed on D-Stroy's head, Drillasaurs drilled beneath him, damaging his treads while others took turns punching him.
A couple of Rollodons charged into him from both sides at the same time. When they hit him in an attempt to squash his body, the silver grey and black T-Trux yelped, he could feel how they moved the connectors between his body and treads, slightly distorting them. "Does that hurt, T-Trux?" a Dozeratops with short horns and kind of squeaky voice asked with an evil smile, mocking him while other Dinotrux continued attacking him.
The Trux then quickly circled around D-Stroy before he charged into him, his sharp horns ran along the right side of T-Trux's body, scratching paint off and even scarring, making D-Stroy groan again. "Well, get used to it!" the Dozeratops roared when he finally moved his horns away. D-Structs avoided some of the boulders that headed his way, but then a Craneosaur used the chance to rush forward, pushing him with her tail.
His younger brother was already well beaten-up, even standing upright was a challenge there and then. He felt something hit him again, pushing him away, and before he could figure out what it was, he was already facing more and more Trux who were all eagerly awaiting the chance to do the same. To pull him apart, piece by piece, bolt by bolt, tear his horns off, break his tail into pieces and...
END OF DREAM SEQUENCE
He woke with a start, panting heavily, his eyes small points of black against a white background as he gasped loudly for air as though he had just come up from the bottom of a deep, deep body of water. Eventually he fell asleep from both weariness and fatigue though it was still hard to find peace and he wondered if he ever would. But he little knew of the way that his path for peace was destined to take.
The results of which would change him considerably.
