A/N: This was written for a prompt I received on my roleplay account for Devon.
Devon absentmindedly twisted her hair between her fingers as she went over the maps of the planet for what felt like the hundredth time that night. Her vision blurred, making her unable to make out land from the bodies of water. She sighed heavily and reached to turn off the light that hung above the table. She rubbed her eyes before she stretched out the kinks in her back from being hunched over the table.
She looked up as a figure filled the tent doorway. "What are you still doing up?" She was just able to cover her mouth to hide a yawn. She gave him a sheepish grin.
"I was just about to ask you the same question," Danziger chuckled softly. "We're pulling an early start tomorrow. You'd better try and get a few hours of shuteye." He moved to rub her back gently as she stepped closer to him.
"What about you?" Another yawn.
"I'm coming, too," he assured her. "To bed, Devon. You need your rest. Especially now." He rubbed her slightly swollen stomach.
She leaned into his side. "Alright. Alright. You win," she teased as she ducked between the flaps of the tent, and they headed toward their shared tent to call it a night.
