Ciel x Kagome
The doorknob twisted slowly, soft candlelight filtering in through the widening crack from the hallway. The silence of the night remained unbroken, even when one dainty foot settled onto the floor just inside the doorway. The darkness seemed to welcome the presence, as even the ever-watching moon slipped away behind a cloud and darkened the room to an otherworldly degree.
Twin cerulean eyes glowed softly in the darkness, as the feminine form moved toward the four-poster bed. There was a feline grace to her step, allowing her movements to remain soft and unnoticed by the room's occupant. It would do her no good if the little bird of the manor was alerted to her presence when she was only a few feet away from her goal.
She was here to steal his meal, after all.
The corner of her mouth turned upward into a thin smile. Could she honestly consider it thievery if she was doing the boy a favor? The little bird would no doubt torture him for years to come in order to cultivate his soul for the harvest, whereas her method would be much quicker. Her tongue skimmed along the edge of her lip, for she knew that her method would be much more… satisfactory for them both, as well.
Besides, how long would it take the bird to find another meal? A day, perhaps? Two?
The boy was free for the picking so long as he still hung from the vine, tantalizing and sweet.
Placing her hand upon the bedpost, she considered the boy in the dark for a moment. He was such a young thing, barely even fifteen if she could have taken a guess. This age of man was dark and brutal to have twisted such a youth, though not nearly as crushing as the years she had suffered through. Perhaps it was merely his profession that had caused him to suffer so? The loss of so many had broken many in the past…
Just like it had broken her.
Shaking her head, the demon pushed herself away from the humanity she had lost so long ago with a single step toward the boy. She was no longer the sacred miko charged with guarding the jewel that had been stripped from her body. There was no use dwelling on a past that she could not return to, having accepted her new fate when her fangs had sunk into her first meal and allowed her to taste nirvana itself from such a delicate, pure soul.
She was a demon now, simple and true. Having been created by the very jewel she had sworn to protect, she had been twisted by time and longing, and as such she needed this meal. There would be no remorse as she stole the boy away from his little bird's contract, nor when she drank in his essence.
His youth meant little to her, despite her methods.
Though, as her eyes flicked back toward the door, she supposed that it would not hurt to have a little added reassurance. There was no telling how much noise her new little meal might make while she was tasting him, and she had become rather skilled at creating barriers in her years of practice. But, as her pitch black claw tapped against the frame of the bed, she considered if creating such a display would bring the little bird running. It would be an obvious threat, after all, especially located within the boy's chamber.
Her lip curled upward when she finally slipped onto the silken sheets and began prowling across the space that separated her from the Earl of the Phantomhive estate. There were other ways she could keep the boy quiet, allowing her to savor every little noise created for her as it was protected from the very night itself. Knowing that no other would ever draw such sound from him, that no other would ever delight in hearing it, made her mouth water the closer she got to brushing up against his soul.
The bed dipped under her added weight, as she settled above the boy and took a moment to take in his soft features. He was a handsome one, she would give him that. His youth could do little to conceal the beauty he might possess later in life, and she imagined he might be able to charm the hardest of hearts if not for the demons attracted to the taint within him. It was almost a shame she had not found him first. She would have liked to watch him grow beneath her guidance, linked by the Faustian contract, and known that no other would ever know what lay beneath that facade.
Perhaps she might have even allowed him the privilege of sharing her eternal life as her mate if he amused her enough.
But, alas, such things were not to be with him locked tight between the talons of a bird.
Her lips stretched into a dazzling smile, the woman leaned down to brush her mouth against his ear softly. "My lord," she purred, her eyes becoming gleaming pinpoints of fuschia in the darkness when the youth released a soft groan at the noise. She had found herself amused immensely when she had discovered the little bird of the manor playing the role of dutiful servant, and she hoped that the boy would appreciate her efforts to slip into the role herself as his mistress in the night. "Wake up, my lord."
Ciel Phantomhive's eyes opened slowly in confusion, but the sight of the strange, smiling woman caused him to snap the mismatched colored orbs open completely. "Who are—?" He released a grunt when her hand settled over his mouth, the other locking his wrists above his head before he had the chance to grab the pistol hidden beneath his pillow.
"Uh uh," she giggled. "There's no need for violence, my lord. I'm not here to hurt you… much." Her arm shifted, settling heavily on his locked wrists and allowing her fingers to brush across his right cheek, as she examined the Faustian contract settled in his right eye. She had little doubt that he had noticed the coloration of her eyes, given the way his stare narrowed calculatingly, and her smile stretched a little further. "That bird is trying to keep you all to himself, isn't he? Such a greedy thing."
The young Earl felt his face flare wildly when the woman rose to straddle him properly, revealing her state of undress.
"My name is Kagome, my lord," she chuckled. "I would like it if you'd scream it to the world so that everyone knows who you truly belong to, but, alas, we can't have that little bird come running while we play, now can we?"
Ciel only glared harder at her at the sound of her amusement. His mind was already going through a thousand possibilities on what the demon woman could want from him, the most obvious being his soul, when he suddenly found himself smothered by her breast. "Nnghh!"
Laughing softly at the way the boy twisted frantically beneath her in that moment, she said, "Now, now, my lord, are you truly so embarrassed by a little thing as a naked woman? Aren't you the grand Watchdog of the Queen? Surely you've seen more gruesome things in your short lifespan?"
When she shifted enough to allow him the chance to breathe, Ciel shouted, "Sebast—!"
Her lips shut out any protests he might have in that moment, as she allowed her power to flair through the intimate contact. She could already feel it settling into his blood when she slowly released his wrists, and knew she had trapped him thoroughly when they settled onto her upper arms to pull her closer. Kagome smirked against his mouth, pleased with how quickly her magic had taken hold, when she heard the door slam harshly against the wall.
"Now what do we have here?" the other demon's voice was smooth as he spoke.
Kagome snarled, barely avoiding the blow that would have knocked her clear through the wall behind the Earl's bed. She flicked her hair as she appeared on the opposite side of the room, glaring harshly at the bird of the manor. What had she missed? How had he detected her so soon? Her power should not have set off the connection created between them by the Faustian contract, but perhaps he had heard the boy's attempt to call for him?
The bird narrowed his eyes slightly, saying, "It would seem we have a fox in our midst, my lord," as Ciel shook his head clear of the magic that had taken hold of him so quickly.
"Do you think you can keep his soul from me for long?" Kagome smiled at the way the youth averted his gaze from her person the moment he turned to glare at her once more, his face turning a bright shade of scarlet. "He wants me."
"Sebastian," Ciel snapped, "kill her."
"Oh!" she frowned somewhat. "Don't be that way, my lord. Weren't we having fun?"
"Now."
The window gave way in her escape, but her laughter drifted on the wind as she blended into the shadows of the night where the bird had little hope of catching her. She would just have to return on another night for her feast. The way the boy had wiggled beneath her had left her wanting, and she had little doubt that he would come seeking her if she could pour a bit more of her power into his blood. A smile crossed her lips at the thought, knowing that it would ruffle the bird's feathers if Ciel Phantomhive willingly gave his soul to another.
It might even take months, she thought, but that boy was a meal worth waiting for now that she had had a taste.
