Gohan stood next to the bed, Kyuuri fast asleep, their twins had come just come the previous night and he couldn't blame her for being worn down, he wasn't doing too well himself but that's only because a Saiyan woman's rage during giving birth was a terrifying thing.

"Look at you, little guy." Gohan said with a smile as he looked down, gently rocking his son in his arms. Gohan craned his neck and looked into Daikon's eyes as he stirred, they were already hard and fierce looking, a true Saiyan. The half-Saiyan's attention was diverted to his left as his son's tail worked it's way out of the blanket he was wrapped in, Gohan feeling a twinge of anxiety as he glanced out the window, it was early evening and the skies were clear, a full moon was coming.

"Hey, how's Pan doing?" Gohan asked.

"I don't know why you've got me taking care of her." Piccolo said, glancing down at the newborn Saiyan he held.

"Oh come on, Piccolo, you practically raised me." Gohan said with a laugh.

Piccolo cracked a smirk before looking up at Gohan. "I trained you, she's not ready for that yet."

"Maybe someday." Gohan replied.

"The only person who'll train them is me." a tired yet aggressive voice spoke.

"Kyuuri!" Gohan called as he set down next to her, Daikon instinctively reaching for his mother.

Kyuuri formed a tired smile, reaching out towards her son. "Hey there." she said. "Let him come."

Gohan set Daikon on the bed, the infant Saiyan crawling over to Kyuuri, the Saiyan woman taking him into her arms.

"It's amazing, they can move on their own already." Gohan remarked.

"Saiyans mature faster than human children." Kyuuri answered. "Where's Pan?"

"Here." Piccolo answered.

"Piccolo?!" Kyuuri exclaimed, not expecting the Namekian to be present.

"Sorry, I...kinda needed help." Gohan laughed.

"Why? They're just babies...Saiyan ones..but still." Kyuuri said.

"Because of this." Piccolo answered, Pan slipping out of his grasp and levitating over to her mother before lying down next to her brother.

"They can fly already?" Kyuuri asked.

"You said Saiyans mature faster than humans." Gohan replied.

"Not this much faster." Kyuuri stated before looking around the room. "Where are your parents anyway?" she asked.

"My mom's looking after Goten and my Dad's off with Vegeta, they're training with Whis." Gohan answered.

"Whis?!" Kyuuri blurted, the twins whimpering as they woke up, Kyuuri quickly rocking them back to sleep. "You mean the God of Destruction's teacher Whis?!" she asked in a hushed tone.

"Yeah, he came by earlier to visit Bulma, Vegeta tried every trick in the book to impress him but in the end it was instant ramen that won Whis over." Gohan said with a laugh.

"I could really go for some of that right now." Kyuuri said. "Hopefully I can shake this off soon so I can train with them, too."

"It's way too early to be thinking about that, don't you think?" Gohan asked.

Kyuuri felt her Saiyan rage start to build only for it to die down as she looked down upon her sleeping children and realized Gohan was right. "You know, I started training when I was four, my father told me Saiyan children usually started training when they were two and I thought I was behind...I know they can fly already...but I can't imagine them learning to fight anytime soon.

"They won't have to." Gohan said. "On Earth there's more to life than fighting, they can do anything they want.

"They're lucky, I suppose." Kyuuri answered.

"How so?" Gohan asked.

"There's no King Cold, Frieza or Cooler to force them to fight like there was for our parents...and myself...they get to be children."

"Right." Gohan said, the memory of when he first met Frieza flashing through his head.

Kyuuri suddenly reached out and grabbed the half-Saiyan, pulling him in close and sharing a kiss before letting go. "I'll be back at 100% soon enough." she said before drifting back to sleep.

Gohan smiled at Kyuuri and his children before moving to lay down next to them when Piccolo poked his head back in the room, beckoning him over.

Gohan slowly approached the door, opening it and having a chill travel down his spine. Before him stood Trunks, not the child he knew, but the young man he fought alongside during the battle with the Androids and Cell. He wore a long black overcoat and regard Gohan with a grin.

"It's been a long time." he said.

"Yeah...for real." Gohan replied.

"He just got here, says he needs to talk to you urgently." Piccolo commented.

"What about?" Gohan asked.

"It would be better if you came with me." Trunks said.

Gohan glanced out the window of the house Bulma had generously gifted he and Kyuuri once the latter had revealed she was pregnant.

"There's no time machine." Trunks said with a smirk.

"Then how...?" Gohan began.

"You'll see in a second." Trunks answered.

"Wait...I can't just go...Kyuuri just gave birth, Pan and Daikon are with her! I can't just leave them." Gohan explained.

"Trunks already told me what's going on...I'll take care of everything here, just go." Piccolo responded.

Gohan wanted to argue but the severity in the Namekian's tone worried him. "Okay, let's go."

"Alright...if everything goes right you'll be back in an instant." Trunks said.

"If?" Gohan asked.

"Just wait." Trunks replied.

Gohan made to reply when gears that seemed to be made completely of energy appeared above and below him. "Trunks! What's-" was all he had time to say as they were teleported away.

oOo

"Are you sure this is the right move?" Supreme Kai asked.

"He deserves t know what's coming his way, after all, it is his Son." Elder Kai replied while strolling over to the nearest table.

"If you believe in this, then I'm with you." Supreme Kai said.

"Alright, this should be it." the Supreme Kai of Time chimed in as she entered the room, two scrolls in each hand. "How are things going there?"

Elder Kai and Supreme Kai glanced down at the scroll before them, Gohan was standing quietly while Trunks explained the circumstances. "Looks like he'll be here any minute." Elder Kai answered.

The Supreme Kai of Time walked over to the scroll, watching as Gohan protested having to leave. "I hope he can help us." she said.

"I'm sure he can." Supreme Kai said. "Elder Kai and I trained him ourselves." the younger Kai said before gesturing to the Elder. "He unlocked his full potential, surely ou know that."

"I do." Supreme Kai of Time said, glancing away. "I just don't know if it will be enough.

"We tried getting in contact with Vegeta and Goku but they're training on Beerus' world and that Whis never picks up when I call him." Elder Kai said.

"That's because you always call asking if Beerus is awake." Supreme Kai said wryly.

"As if you don't want to know, sometimes you even encourage me to ask!" the Elder argued.

"Enough, you two!" the Supreme Kai of Time called out. "They're on their way here."

oOo

As soon as the two half-Saiyans materialized Gohan slowly spun in a circle, taking in his odd surroundings. There was a large fortress-like building with an enormous tree protruding from it in the distance, a white archway with gold trim leading to it's interior while a small domed dwelling sat off to the side with an assortment of junk lying around it. Beneath them, short green grass extended in all directions until it met a pool of water that ran along the side of this strange place, pillars seemed to guard the edge as all there was beyond them was a green sky with what appeared to be planets in the distance.

"Kinda jarring your first time, huh?" Trunks asked.

"Trunks...where are we?" Gohan asked.

"Welcome to the Time Nest, it's where all of time and space is watched over by the Time Patrol." Trunks replied.

"Hold on." Gohan said, grabbing Trunks by the arm. "What's the Time Patrol...what am I even doing here?" he asked.

"The Time Patrol was established by the Kais thousands of years ago to make sure that certain beings weren't trying to change events that were otherwise supposed to be preordained.

"There are people out there trying to change time...other than you?" Gohan asked.

"Well, I only attempted to change things so I could help the world...that's why I got off easy. All I had to do was join the Time Patrol to help fix other things...but there are others out there trying to change things, such as the Demon God Demigra...you'll learn about him pretty soon, here." Trunks said.

"You didn't bring me here to fight this...Demigra guy, did you?" Gohan asked.

"Oh no, nothing like that, Demigra was defeated for good a couple years ago." Trunks answered.

"What am I here for, then?" Gohan asked.

"We're going to explain that to you." Trunks said, gesturing towards the large building ahead of them.

"We?" Gohan asked.

"Yeah, some friends of yours are here." the other half-Saiyan said with a smile. "Oh...uh...congratulations on getting married and having kids by the way."

"Bulma said she invited you." Gohan answered.

"Oh yeah, I kinda changed my address." Trunks said, pointing to the domed house surrounded by a variety of different mechanical parts.

"Well, hopefully you'll be able to meet Kyuuri, Pan and Daikon soon." Gohan said with a small smile as he headed for the Time Vault.

"I already have and hopefully bringing you here can prevent what happens to them" Trunks thought as he watched Gohan walk ahead of him.

oOo

Elder Kai, Supreme Kai and the Supreme Kai of Time greeted Gohan and Trunks as they came in, Gohan stopping at the door whilst Trunks made his way past the Kais.

"So, fended of Beerus, did you?" Elder Kai asked with a grin.

"Yeah, I almost thought I was done for at the end there." the half-Saiyan said before turning to the Supreme Kai of Time. "I don't think we've met."

"Not yet at least." she responded. "I'm the Supreme Kai of Time, otherwise known as Chronoa." she said

"Not yet?" Gohan asked.

"The place we're located is called Toki Toki City." Chronoa began. "Someday people from all over time and space will travel here and call it home, some of them becoming Time Patrollers...that's why we brought you here, actually."

"I've got it." Trunks said as he entered the room, a scroll in hand.

"You might want to prepare yourself." Supreme Kai said.

"Right this way." Elder Kai called as Gohan strode over to the table Trunks set the scroll upon.

"What do I need to prepare myself for?" Gohan replied.

"Just watch." Supreme Kai said.

As they unfurled the scroll, a scene began to play out, a blue skinned and white haired being wearing red and white armor standing across from a young man with long black hair wearing slightly modified Saiyan battle armor in a ruined city.

"That thing they have...I think I know what it is now." the blue-skinned being said.

"You're probably wondering why we're showing you this." Elder Kai began.

"His name is Mira, he's a bio-android much like Cell." Chronoa continued.

"Mira, you can't!" a similar looking woman yelled off to the side.

"And that is Towa, his creator...and Sister of Dabura." Elder Kai said.

"What? Dabura has a Sister?" Gohan exclaimed.

"Yes, as you can imagine she wasn't quite thrilled about his death." Supreme Kai answered.

"She and Mira are traveling through time trying to change things, Dabura's death being one of those things, what we're showing you here, this is when they finally gained the ability to change time and space any way they want...of course things didn't quite go according to Towa's plans." Chronoa said.

Gohan continued watching as Mira let out a cry, purple and black energy surging around him.

"No, I can do this." Mira growled.

The younger man that stood across from him sprinted forward, leaping into the air and going Super Saiyan before throwing a punch at Mira. The Android blocked it before kicking him away, the younger Saiyan man teleporting behind him and smashing him into the ground, Mira recovering quickly and flying back at him.

"Who is that?" Gohan asked, even though the answer was already coming to him.

"He's a Time Patroller, tasked with stopping Mira and Towa...your Son." Chronoa explained.

A chill shot through Gohan as he looked upon the scroll, his eyes darting back and forth as Daikon clashed with Mira, the two seemingly evenly matched...it was his own son, grown up. "I can't believe this." Gohan said.

"Unfortunately we didn't bring you here just to show you this." Supreme Kai said.

"Look out, you're overheating! You're going past the limit...you have to stop, Mira, it's too dangerous!" Towa called.

Daikon trade more blows with Mira as the Android laughed maniacally.

"He can't hear me, if he doesn't stop his core will overload and destroy the universe!" Towa called to Daikon.

"Kind of your fault." Daikon growled as Mira sent a volley of ki blasts his way, the young Saiyan deflecting them before flying at Mira and sending a roundhouse kick at him, the Android fading out of the way before grabbing Daikon by the throat and tossing him away. Daikon looked up to find a Kamehameha baring down on him, barely dodging it before pulling a hand back and locking eyes with Mira. "Masenko!" he shouted, the golden stream of energy tearing through the air towards Mira.

The Android made to move out of the way when he was suddenly struck with a blast of electricity, Daikon's blast making it's marking smashing him into the ground.

"What?" Daikon said, turning to find Towa herself had stopped him from dodging the blast.

"I'm lending you my aid, we need to put and end to Mira's recklessness."

Towa sent a volley of ki blasts at Mira, the Android raising his arms to block them before flying back at her, perform a flurry of jabs and kicks, the Demoness managing to block them with her staff before leaping back and flying forward with a stab, Mira fading to the side and kicking her away. Daikon leapt in, slinging a jab into the the Android's face, sending him reeling back a couple meters.

"You think you and my naive creator are going to win...don't you?" Mira said with a smirk.

"I know I am." Daikon said before bringing his arms in towards his chest and straightening his legs. He let out a battle cry, Mira and Towa watching as Golden energy swirled and coalesced around him, electricity crackling across his body. "You're strong enough...hope you don't mind if I skip Super Saiyan Two!" Daikon shouted as a burst of ki radiated across the battle field, the dust clearing to reveal Daikon had achieved Super Saiyan Three.

"It makes no difference" Mira hissed.

"It does, I'll show you that much." Daikon said as he teleported next to the Android, kicking him into the air before flying at him, Mira not having time to block as he was struck with a series of jabs and hooks, Daikon tossing him back down into the ground before dropping a kick right onto his stomach.

Mira grabbed him by the leg and threw him back into the air, charging up his signature move, the Serious Bomb and sending it at the Time Patroller. Daikon pulled his hands back and brought them together, releasing a kamehemeha, pushing the blast back at Mira. The Android's eyes went wide as it hit him, the explosion tearing apart what was left of the city block they battled in.

"He's still hanging on." Towa said.

Mira flew out of the crater, throwing combinations of punches and kicks at Daikon, the young Saiyan man, but in his weakened form, he was no match. Daikon blocked each attack before suddenly teleporting high into air and diving at Mira. The Android charged back at him but to no avail as Daikon took a hold of him and flew him closer to the ground before releasing his right hand and throwing kiai punch into Mira's chest, the Android crashing into the ground, unconscious, the dark energy that flowed around him fading away.

"How could you go and destroy your own power Limiter?" Towa asked as she flew over to him. "You bungled everything right to the end! I'll need to take out your core and fix it."

Suddenly Mira awoke, swiftly grabbing Towa by the throat. "No repairs will be needed." he said.

"Let her go! This is over for you." Daikon growled.

"I've grown past her schematics." Mira began. "I'm walking on my own now...and I will evolve into something beyond myself...by absorbing my own creator!"

"Mira!" Towa called. "I was the one who made you...you'd turn on me?"

Mira simply bowed his head and began absorbing Towa into himself. "You're nothing but a failure..." she said quietly as she was taken in.

"That object Towa was holding when she was absorbed was a Time Egg." Chronoa said. "Before this fight, she had stolen it from us in order to gain mastery over time...every time egg is birthed by the owl Toki Toki, every one has contains the power to alter or create a new time stream...with that kind of power, Mira could be anywhere."

"We know where he's going, though." Elder Kai said as they turned back to the scroll.

Daikon watched as a blinding torrent of energy surrounded Mira, his voice ringing out from within. "I could fight you...kill you here...but it should not have ever gotten to this point, I will stop this before it has even started."

Daikon rushed at Mira, everything dying down to reveal Mira was gone, Daikon stopping in his tracks and looking around in confusion. "Where'd he go?" he called out.

"Don't worry about Daikon, we'll be bringing him back here, unfortunately we think the next part is a bit too sensitive for him...that's why we brought you here, so you'd be ready." Trunks said.

"He's coming for us in the present." Gohan inferred.

"He already came for you." Chronoa said.

"Gohan, you, Kyuuri, your children and Piccolo were supposed to die tonight at Mira's hands...we sent Trunks back to take you here before it all happened and brief you on what you were about to face...and to stop it from happening." Supreme Kai said.

Gohan's mouth fell agape in shock before he grit his teeth, shaking in rage. "What are we waiting for then? Let's go."
