Notes: I'm sorry for the huge delay in the third chapter.
"Meow?"
Mikey groaned as he came to. He pushed his cat away from him as he sat up. "Man Klunk," he said, "I had the weirdest…" he trailed off. He was lying on a bed in a room he didn't recognize. It kinda looked like his own room but the walls weren't from a sewer.
"Oh, good you're awake," a voice said for the doorway.
"It wasn't a dream," Mikey finally said.
"No thinking you're a turtle was most likely a dream." Splinter said entering the room with a tray of tea. "I thought you could use some tea."
"Thanks Mikey said taking the tray. "I don't get it Master…" he stopped when he saw a frown on the older man's face. "Uh dad?" that didn't sound right. He never called Splinter dad. "How are we human?"
Splinter looked at him. "I'm afraid I don't understand. You've never been a turtle my son. You're a fifteen-year-old boy."
"Who were those people in the kitchen?" he decided to ask. He didn't believe anything that the man was saying.
"That was your mother April, your brothers Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo."
"We're all fifteen?" he asked.
"Goodness no. Raphael and Leonardo are twins and eighteen years old. Donatello is sixteen."
"How come I don't remember any of this?" Mikey said. "Last thing I remember is Shredder hitting me with wires. Wait that Utrom injected me with something."
Splinter pursed his lips a flash of anger in his eyes that Mikey didn't see as he was looking away. "That sounds like an interesting dream my son. Maybe you can make that your next short story. Now I've got to go the dojo. Are you going to be okay here this afternoon?"
"Yeah." Mikey said. "Just give me a phone and the number to the nearest pizza place and I'll be good."
Splinter smiled. "That's my son." He said and left.
Mikey waited until Splinter was gone and then left the apartment. He walked for what felt like hours until he found a familiar manhole cover. He made sure no one was looking before moving the lid and going down the ladder. He put the cover back on.
He walked until he got to where the entrance to the lair would be. There was nothing there. It was just a regular area of the sewer. There was no indication that anyone had lived down there.
"They finally get tired of you?" a voice asked from behind him.
He turned around and found himself staring at Casey Jones.
"What?" He asked in confusion.
"Your family," Casey asked. "Why else would some teenager come down here."
"Well why are you here?" Mikey shot back.
"That's a really good question. Now get out of here kid before I hurt you."
Mikey grinned. "You couldn't even beat Raph." He ran at the man and kicked him. Casey hadn't been expecting it and went down to one knee before pulling out a baseball bat.
Mikey went for his nun chucks that weren't present.
Shell. He thought.
"Oh you think you're so tough?" Casey asked standing up.
"Look Casey I don't know what's going on but I'm not going to fight you."
"You know my name?" Casey asked in confusion.
"Like I could forget your face."
Light registered in Casey's eyes. "Mikey?"
