KPOV:
As me and Isabella enter Gloira's private office we see Charlie sitting next to Gloria talking quitley already, making isabella scowl looking at them, i'm just glad Charlie didn't notice Isabella looking at them like that he might of said something to her and i didn't want that to happen, i didn't want Isabella to feel pushed away just cos her dad has found his mate,
so i pull Isabella to me as i sit down, i sit her on my lap as she curls up on me pulling her tighter to me, i look to see both Gloria and Charlie looking at us though Charlie is looking a little concered at Isabella, i just shake my head at him to leave it for now and turn to Gloira,
"so Gloira do you have any answers for us after our last talk"
"yeah a few i think, some might make sence and some might not i'm not sure i'm hoping with Charlie here we can put the pieces together" she tells me then looks at Charlie then back to me
"ok so Klaus i know now why it took so long for you to find your mate that is to both your wolf side and your vampire side, it is cos the doppleganger to your curse is alive and close to coming of age for your curse to be broken"
"what how, where is she" i ask sitting up holding Isabella to me close
"well i know, one cos the spirits told me and two if you think about it, it make's sence, you can only mate properly with one person right, so she has got to be a wolf but with you being a hybrid and living forever you will have to be able to change your mate to be like you, for you to do that you need to break your curse, hence the doppleganger must be alive and near of age for you to break your curse to be able to change your mate"
"i have never thought of it like that in a thousand years that thought never entered my mind I just ..." i shake my head to clear my thoughts knowing this isn't the time to think about that, i look down to my mate as she puts her hand on my cheek and kiss's me softly with an understanding of what i am thinking i look back up as Gloria speaks again
"well like i said your doppleganger is alive but i don't know where she is or anything about her yet i will look into it, the spirits will only tell me that she is alive oh and you will need her blood to transition Isabella into a hybrid like your self,"
"why her blood though" i ask, i would rather not have any doppleganger blood in my mate if i can help it but if i have no choice i will have to,
"i don't know why her blood i mean you could try it with normal blood first but i would try it on an other werewolf before hand just in case," i roll my eyes at her and snap at her
"i know that Gloira, i would never put my mate in any danger and try it on my mate first"
"well like i said i will look into the doppleganger to see if i can find any info out about her where abouts," she tells me as i look to Isabella and kiss her
"well at least that is one worry we dont have to stress about so much over at least we know that she's alive some where we just have to find her, then you can do your curse and then change me when i'm ready, right" Isabella say's to all of us as we knew she was worrying about this,
"its not that simple" Gloria say's
"what why" i ask
"because Klaus you need to do your curse first then change Isabella when she's ready right, but you need to kill the doppleganger for your curse to work" Gloria explains
"yeah so we will just collect some blood before hand so Isabella can transition after"
"yes Klaus and that might work for a normal wolf but with Isabella being your mate for some reason it won't work,"
"WHAT, why not, what's wrong with me?" Isabella jumps up panicing looking to Gloria for answers
"I'm not sure what it is but i think it has something to do with your genetic DNA make up, remember last time we talked, i said about you being a shield of some sort cos i can not get a read on you and you was also protecting your mate, well that's not normal thing for just a werewolf to be able to do, only the 'Fay' can do that, shield people like you do, you even do it unconsciously which means your already quite powerful, i can not read your father either"
"Gloria you can not be serious, a Fay, they haven't been seen since i was human, and i remember mother telling me there species was dying out then that's over a thousand years ago," i tell Gloria cos i cant quite believe my mate would be part Fay
"that may be so Klaus, but even though they may not be full bloodied Fay it will still be in the blood line"
"hold on a minute, Nik what the hell is a Fay, what on earth are you talking about" Isabella snaps out at us as i pull her back to me
"Fairies" Gloria tells her and Charlie
"oh fairies, for a minute there i thought it was something serious" my mate say's sarcastically and rolls her eyes out as i grip her arm tighter in warning about her eye rolling as she trys to shrug me off her making me growl low at her stopping her from doing it
"You can't be serious, 'Fay being Fairies' and you think that 'what', me and dad are this Fay or Fairies what ever it is, 'no way' i may believe about vampires and werewolfs even witche's now but Fairies, 'nope sorry' last time i checked i didn't turn into tinkerbell i'm just a werewolf thanks, and i mean my dad as a fairie really ha thats so funny" Isabella is in complete denial of this
"Isabella love, what Gloria said about they being Fay or Fairies is true i have met one once as i human though i didn't know them well, but my older brother Elijah did know of one well they were friends, They lived in the woods away from most people but were hunted down as people was scared of them, they did live near werewolf packs also, as werewolfs change because of the power of the full moon once a month, fairies used that power of the full moon and the power of the change to collect more power for there spells or whatever they used it for, that is what i remember my brother telling me once when i asked about them"
"What Klaus said is true witche's have heard many of folklore about Fairies and you do seem to have some of the qualities of a Fay, like your extremely beauitful for a human and small in stature as well, you have like enchantingly magical draw to you, where even though maybe you didn't know it but i bet other supernatural creatures where drawn to you also" she tells my mate who is sitting with me looking thoughtful untill she sighs out
"yeah even though i didn't know it at the time when i lived with my dad i was near other supernatural creatures and i did feel, i don't know drawn to them like they was drawn to me also" she say's, humm yes those disgusting shapeshifters, i wounder what other supernatural was there maybe if we are there again i'll have a better look around next time i think to myself
"Well isn't that just great dad not only are we werewolfs but bloody Fairies to, lets hope we don't suddenly spout Fairie wings" she laughs out i think if she didn't laugh she might cry and Charlie isn't looking much better
"What i don't get is where this fairie side to us has come from and why now" Charlie ask's Gloria always thinking like a chief of police
"well Charlie the Fairie Blood was probably always in there from the start of your family lines just like your werewolf blood would of been maybe a fairie and a werewolf got together and had a baby and that's what started your family blood line from, i'm not sure i mean like klaus said fairies did live deep in the woods near werewolf's, but over the centuries the fairie blood would of diluted down so i'm not sure what would off triggered it," she looks to him as he's shaking this head and looking up thinking
"Charlie i did ask Isabella last time we spoke, about her family tree but she said she wasn't sure that's why she asked you to come for this talk to see if you had some answers, cos like i said i don't know why your Fay side is showing up now, i mean unless someone in the family has had a blood transfusion and the blood that was used has triggered something i'm not sure or some other supernatural has gotten to you with out you knowing it or something don't know" Gloria say's gentle to him,
but he looks up and looks straight at Isabella as if contemplating about something, looks to gloria, then say's something i never thought he would ever say in a million years
"what about a cold one bite would that trigger it?"
and i'm shocked cos that's not possible, Charlie is a werewolf and he dosn't smell any different to me they is no way he was even near one even the ones me and Isabella killed they wasn't near him we got to them first,
"humm what dad a cold one bite, Nik didn't you tell me if you get bit by one of them it's poisonous to werewolf's and if a cold one bits a human they change into one of them?" Isabella askeds us
"yes love, that's true so i'm not sure, Charlie why would you even ask about that," i ask him sitting up straight while holding my mate hand, as Charlie sighs out
"when i was 19 not long after i joined the police force i was on a job someone had seen a man take a little girl into the forest, so everyone was out looking for her, only i didn't realise how deep i had gone into the woods at the time, i knew the wood's like the back of my hand i had grown up in them woods, i found the little girl bleeding on the floor knocked out as i went to pick her up i heard a noise behind me, as i turned to see the same man who took the girl grabbed me and threw me into a tree and i was bleeding," he tells us
"ok dad what happened next?" Isabella askeds him
"he told me i smell better than the child and had me up by the throat and was about to bite me but two other men come out of the trees and stopped him, they was fighting between them selfs and i tried to get the little girl to safety but something happened and the man grabbed me by the ankle and tripped me over, the next thing i know is he bit me high up on my thigh right by my femoral artery, 'god the pain' i will never forget pain like that ever, it was like burning lava running though my body, all i heard was screaming till i realised it was me screaming, and the men arguing, then one of the men who was trying to help me bite me, i blacked out by then and ended up coming to at the hospital" he tells us running his hand over his moustache, i look at Isabella who has tears in her eyes from charlie's story
"what happened then dad" she whispers out to him but we all hear it
"when i woke up in the hospital i knew something wasn't right but i didn't know what i just felt different but nothing hurt i got better really quick and was able to go home, it took me a few days to get used to eveything but i noticed i could hear better see better was quicker to move and heal from things that's it really, i just got used to it and didn't think anything else to it i had just triggered my werewolf gene a few mon before as well so i did think it had something to do with that,
then i came home from work the next day and the two men who saved me was there, they told me how i was bitten by a cold one and that he couldn't let me change or die from it, his friend who he was with said it was important to keep me alive for some reason he just didn't know why so one of them sucked the venom out of me to stop the change"
"can i see the bit mark Charlie" Gloria ask's him and he just shrugs and say's
"yeah but it is high up i will have to take my jean's down" as i see Gloria gulps which is amusing but Isabella looks grossed out as Charlie rolls his eyes at his daughter
"hum dad may be you can not pull your jean's down while i'm here please" Isabella say's
"Bells i have underwear on you can't see anything and i'm sure even your mate wants to see a cold one bite on a werewolf" he say's to her as she looks at me to see if i want to see it i just shrug
"i can't say i have seen a werewolf with a cold one bite before, well not alive anyway" i say much to the displeasure of my mate as Charlie has undone his jeans so show us, and you can clearly see both bites the first bite and the one to suck the venom out also even Isabella is shocked by this
"god dad i just can't believe all of this" she say's looking at him
"i know Bells, i know, so like i said before would this cold one bite would of triggered the fairie blood to affect both of us?" He say's gesturing him and Isabella
"Yeah i think so, well most definitely the fairie blood would of needed something to strengthen it and the venom would of been the best thing to do that if it was in your blood stream long enough, the venom would of been inside you long enough to change your DNA structure as well, which is most likely the reason for Isabella's shield, in a sense she's a hybrid in her own right already as she was born like it and not changed into it like Charlie was"
"Why cold one venom though? i don't get it" Charlie asks
"because Charlie the person who made the cold one species in the first place used fairie blood in the potion that's why cold ones skin sparkles in the sun and why some cold ones have a gift because of the fay blood in them before the change" i answer him
"how do you know this Nik? i mean, do you know who made the cold ones species then" Isabella ask's me i look down to her and answer her
"Yes Isabella i do know who, as it was my younger brother Kol did it, Kol as a human was a very powerful warlock so when my mother changed us he lost his powers and was extremely angry with our mother but he could still make his potions so he made the potion and used a witch he was with at the time to do the spell but the witch found out that Kol was using her and changed the spell slightly for her advantage, but when my brother realised what she had done he killed her and her entire blood line including any friends she had," i tell her
"but why make them in the frist place? i don't get it" she ask's me
"he simply did it to one piss our mother off and show her even though he didn't have his powers he was still better than her and two was to change her into a cold one, he didn't want to make the cold ones more powerful than us he just wanted to change mother into a lesser species vampire than us so she lost her magic as well and then would have to live forever with us without her magic, he didn't want her to die and have peace, he wanted her to live forever being as miserable as he was"
"oh right, well ok then i can sort of understand that, but didn't you tell me she was dead and that you got her body in a coffin,"
"yes and you know that's true but as much as Kol wanted to changed her i wasn't happy with her still living even as a cold one so i killed her and had her stuck on the other side forever, so she can watch us there and not be able to do anything about it never finding peace, i think that was a better punishment for her" i say with a shrug
"well getting back onto the reason we are here in the first place, is there anything else you know that will help us Gloria love" i ask her cos we're not here for a bloody history lesson
"yes right sorry, hum ok so we know that her shield is from Isabella's fairie blood but it was the cold one bite Charlie got that made it come out in her, it seem's that Charlie your sense's got better yes like sight, smell your hearing humm and your reflex's and healing but the fairie blood in Isabella is stronger in her than you maybe because with you having the wolf gene as well as fairie blood but well it's just a guess but maybe Isabella's mother has fairie blood in her to but would never know, so she has the fairie blood from both mother and father but it was your DNA that made the fairie blood stronger"
"'my god's' what was the chance's of both parents carrying fay blood and conceiving a child" i ask because i know the odd's in that happening
"in reality Klaus it's not possibly like you said the fay had nearly died out when you was human so for this to happen well the odd's are well impossible, Isabella is truely the only one on the planet like this, just as you are, maybe this is another reason you are both mate and imprints,"
"Fate, or Destiny maybe it was always just ment to be" Isabella whispers out, as i look down at her but she's looking at her father and he's looking right at her having some sort of slient converstion but it is Charlie who speaks first
"my mother would always say Isabella was 'destiny' she was always ment to be, it was fated from the beginning, i just always used to shake my head at her thinking she was soft, she told me that i should off named you destiny instead off Isabella but i told her i didn't want people calling her Des if they shortened Isabella to either Isa or Bella at least it still sounds like a girls name not a boys name Des" he tells her
"oh well thanks dad at least i've not got a boy's name, thanks god for small mercy's" she say's rolling her eye's at him
"i was just thinking of you Bells" he say's smiling at her as she scoffs at him then smiles shaking her head then looks softy at me kissing me
"well i don't know about anyone else but after that i could use a drink, cos i got a feeling i'm going to need it for more of this conversation" Charlie say's standing up while rubbing his moustache as Gloria jumps up to
"yeah me to dad, i could really do with a stiff drink" Isabella say's
"Arr i don't think so young lady, your not old enough to drink yet" Charlie tells her as she look's at him and splutters out
"W-W-What dad come on, i've just found out that i'm not just a werewolf but a bloody fairie as well, and you didn't tell me i was a werewolf till a few weeks ago to, and it's not like i haven't drank before, i mean come on dad, your here with me to and so is my mate, Nik wont let anything happen to me," she tells him crossing her arms and tapping her foot at him, he just throws his hands up in the air stressing out
"God Child, ok fine not much though, i mean it bell's" she just smirks at him
"and we will be speaking about your past drinking later" as she rolls her eye's at him
"God dad it's in the past let it go, that's what you always tell me right" she say's to him as we head to the bar, i hear Charlie mutter out under his breath 'she always has to have the last bloody word' making me chuckle and nod.
