Chapter Seven

"I remember that Fury didn't want the Avenger's to know about you being alive." Trinity whispered once she woke up from who knows how long of a sleep, feeling a familiar presences close by, opening her eyes. "How he wanted you to be a kept secret so they can continue to be a team."

"Yes, and you didn't let that happen, what with telling Wheelie to tell the Avengers before they dispersed to their own world or life." Phil said just as quietly, pushing her hair from her face as he walked closer.

Trinity captured his hand, holding it to her cheek, her head feeling heavy as though she was sick with a fever. "It's not right that he wanted to keep you secret and help other agents capture other superheroes in the DL."

Phil smiled softly, "They're not clearance level seven."

"But they are friends, and they became family."

Phil sighs and leans down, kissing her forehead. "That they are. Breakfast is ready if you want to come down and eat." Trinity shook her head, "Come on sweetheart, if you stay in bed any longer you'll only be more depressed." he coaxed his niece.

Trinity shut her eyes tightly before nodding in agreement. Phil smiles to himself and leans down once more to kiss her forehead before leaving her be. Trinity opened her eyes once she heard the door closed, feeling the sadness grip her heart tightly. Swallowing Trinity forced herself out of bed and moved towards the bathroom. She showered until the hot water turned lukewarm and her tears stopped mixing with the water.

She dressed in black leggings with a red and white striped shirt falling to her knees and falling over her right shoulder with a picture of a grey crown with the letters 'PRINCESS' underneath, and black wedge booties with two buckles on the side. She put on a large necklace with white jewels four inches apart and a red ring that was a flower design on her ring finger. If she was to get out of this depression she needed a little pick-me-up. She smiled when Carly, Sam, Stone, and Will commented and whistled as soon as she entered the dining room, Carly coming over to her give her a tight hug.

"I don't feel like doing much but I do want to get out of the house." Trinity tells them as Carly quickly begins to French-braid her hair. "Any word about Ironhide?"

Phil smiles at his niece. Straight to business as usual, without any show of slowing down. To not think, no doubt. Like uncle like niece. It was one of the reasons why he works so much, that and he was good at what he does. Though Phil hoped that Trinity will learn from his own mistakes and not let work take over her life; that family is more important than working your way through life. With Sam, Will, Stone, and Carly to stay, however long, Trinity will see what's more important than wasting your life away with work.

"Nothing yet, Ratchet is working overtime and he doesn't want to give any news until he's sure that the SHIELD agents working for the council hadn't done anything to hurt him further." Will tells her after a moment of hesitation.

Trinity nods, brushing her short bangs from her eyes as she turned to face them. "I've been out of work for a month, I want to go to Washington and help Ratchet in any way I can."

The three NEST agents, Carly, and Phil looked to each other worriedly, knowing that Trinity could be a great help to Ratchet in saving Ironhide. But to use the information that the Decepticons have placed in Trinity's head without caring of the consequences was very dangerous. Will, taking a deep breath, moved forward and softly took hold of the young woman's arms. The woman he has come to see as a baby sister and grow up quicker than any teenager should have.

"If you want, we'll go to Washington, Rini." Will tells her, smiling softly as he shook his head, "But not so you can use that power for Ironhide. Only!" Will says sternly as Trinity went to protest, "Only because you're not thinking straight and you can overdo it to the point of killing yourself."

Trinity inhales sharply but tiredly exhales shakily. "I get it, sorry."

Will smiles softly, kissing her forehead. So, without further conversation Phil urged everyone out of his home for the drive to Washington D.C., while taking out his phone to call the Director and let him know what was going on. After Director Fury had given him a couple of more days of rest Phil, and Will, got in Sideswipe with Phil taking the driver seat. Trinity, as usual, got on Acree–though she didn't take the helmet this time, much to the protest of her family and friends–while Stone got in Dino, and Sam and Carly in Bumblebee. They left Phil's house with Acree and taking lead, quickly making their way around the morning traffic.

Once they left the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel and were on the open expressway Trinity felt the tension vibrating from Acree and knew the familiar feeling all too well. Slowing her breathing, Trinity touched her hearing aid, which the Autobots fixed to become an earpiece to communicate with them, asking if her uncle, Sam, and Will were able to hear her. She was scanning the cars on both sides of the lanes, her heart beating quickly, trying to level her breathing so she wouldn't hyperventilate and freak out. Though the woman knew that Acree would take over if she did freak out. Said Autobot gave out a vibration of comfort, but it didn't help too much since she was too tense as well, scanning each car to find the Decepticons.

"What's going on, Trinity?" Phil asked first with confusion.

"I think you guys need to call back-up because we're about to get some unwanted visitors."

"How many?" Stone asked as both Phil and Will could be heard on their phones.

Acree sent her another vibration, Trinity getting more nervous. "I don't know, Acree's having a hard time locating them!"

"We're in luck Trinity, a few of the Avengers are actually nearby." Phil suddenly told her.

Sam, however, had other ideas for the situation. "Rini, get off this ramp now!"

Trinity didn't get the chance to reply as the floor near her exploded. The woman screamed as she was thrust off of Acree and flying through the air, the Autobot flying just behind her. Acree had changed into her form, firing at the Decepticons that have finally revealed themselves, while making sure to keep Trinity safe. As the ground was approaching all Trinity could think about was her family that were inside the other Autobots, praying for their safety.

Steve sighed as he rode the streets of Brooklyn in his Harley Davidson motorcycle, reacquainting himself once again. In the past four years he has noticed that no matter how many times he walks or drives through the streets of his old neighborhood, he still sees them as how they were from his time. But at the moment he was only driving on muscle memory as his mind was purely on Trinity. Phil had texted him–he can still remember how long it had taken him to get the hang of that–that morning, letting him know that Trinity was fine and still sleeping.

He wanted to go back and see for himself. To be there when she woke up, but knew having her family and friends there should be enough. Steve also didn't want to upset her emotions even more with the fight for her between him and Stone. The man out of time prayed that Trinity didn't know about the two of them wanting to get her attention and affection. He wasn't sure if he would be able to face the humiliation or the anger that she might have towards him. She wouldn't be too much upset with Stone, it was obvious that they knew each other for too long that Trinity would, no doubt, take his side.

Steve came to a stop at a red light, looking at the stores ahead. He still couldn't believe that the Brooklyn Antiques was actually still there and standing. Though Director Fury has told him that the underground facility was no longer in use and has been closed off since the breach of the assassin and his experiment. Feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket, Steve took advantage of the red light and quickly brought out his phone. He frowned when he saw the logo of SHIELD on the screen and slid the green phone to the side before putting it to his ear. Although he was still hesitant with all the new technology, he was slowly starting to get the hang of it.

"Rogers."

"Captain, we just received a call from Phil that there is an enemy nearby and they're going to need all the help they can get." Agent Hill informed him quickly.

Immediately his thoughts went to Trinity and Steve felt his heart sped quickly. "Where are they?"

"On the 278 in Brooklyn. Captain, Hawkeye and Natasha are only five minutes out from your location."

"Tell them to hurry, I'm heading in the direction of the expressway!" he told her before hanging up the phone.

As soon as the green light to turn came on Steve sped from his spot and headed west. He heard the sound of the airplane engine coming in close and was all too grateful that his team wasn't too far behind. He felt the air rushing past above him and saw the Quinjet lowered almost at ground level, the back already opened. Pushing the gas throttle at maximum, Steve didn't have much of a problem getting on to the plane the second it touched the ground, stopping his bike and quickly turning off the engine.

Thor gives him a nod in greeting, standing by the cockpit, a frown on his face. His girlfriend for a couple of years, Jane Foster, was sitting nearby and gave him a smile while Bruce Banner stood nearby, holding on to the rail above his head. Clint, leaving the rear door opened, quickly secured his motorcycle, letting Steve know that it was Natasha who was piloting the Quinjet. He had to wonder where Tony was, but could only assume that he had other things to do. He was, after all, a business man as well and although he gave the reins to Pepper, Tony still had to be present for certain things.

Clint suddenly nodded towards a long storage door behind him. "Your suit and shield's in there, we're ten minutes out."

Giving him a curt nod Steve moved towards it, quickly shedding off his leather jacket, Jane looking away. "What else did Phil say?"

"They're Decepticons, we need to take out their eyes before taking out their heads." Clint informed him.

"Great, so long as we take off their heads we should be fine." Steve tells them, not really having a plan since they didn't fight with these alien robots before. They've only heard and seen them on the television or from other people, but that was all. "Thor, if you're able to use your lighting on them that would probably work on our favor. Clint, use as many explosions you have with your arrows, try to aim near the chest and neck area. Natasha," he yelled so she was able to hear him, "just shoot at them to distract them, and Dr. Banner," Steve looked towards the man who was waiting for his orders. "Smash'em to hell."

Bruce smirked and gives Steve a curt nod. Once he had his mask on, Steve walked past everyone to the cockpit, wanting to know how far out they were from Phil. However when he looked out the windows he didn't need to ask as he saw the destruction of both sides of the expressway in chaos with cars stalled to a stop and the innocent bystanders running away from the eight large robots. Natasha was turning in a wide circle when suddenly Steve felt his heart sank. He saw one of the evil robots had fired towards Trinity on the motorcycle and being thrown off, debris flying around her as well.

"Make sure to fly over them! I'm jumping down!" Steve told them, running back towards the back.

Natasha looks back at Steve but doesn't respond as she started to maneuver the ship to fly over the Decepticons. Steve came to a stop in the middle of the opening and looked down to see that the motorcycle had turned into her robot form and was within reach of Trinity. Taking his shield from his back and holding it in his left arm, Steve went into a stance like that of a runner in a relay race and pushed off. He held his shield with both hands, placing his body in a crouched position so that once he landed on the back of the evil robot he would be able to slice his head right off.

When he landed he did just that, looking towards Trinity's direction to see that the robot that should have had her was hit by the same alien robot he was about to kill. Fear griping him, Steve quickly smashed his shield down on the back of the robot's neck, seeing some type of liquid spurting out from the neck, and pushed off to jump towards Trinity, sliding his shield on to his back once more. He reached out as soon as he was close to the woman and wrapped his arms around her waist, turning them in the air so that he would land on his back if he couldn't get his footing.

Steve didn't have to worry as he did land on his feet, feeling the ground shake as the robot he had just killed fell to the floor. He looked down at Trinity, who had looked up at him at the same time, confused to have seen him. Just as suddenly Steve tightened his hold around her waist and moved her behind him as he brought his shield back to the front, covering them from the energy that would have killed them. It bounced off the shield, vibrating dangerously against Steve's hand, and hit the wall that separated the expressways, the exploding ruble falling everywhere.

Steve turned when he felt Trinity move out of his arms to see her looking towards the others, no doubt. "Will! Stone! Gun!"

"What do you think you're doing?" Steve asked confused, "You nearly just got killed!"

Trinity caught a Bushmaster ACR and the magazine, quickly slamming the magazine in and pushing down a button to cock the weapon. "My job, Captain!" with that said Trinity brought the weapon against her shoulder and turned back to the Decepticons, quickly firing towards the eyes and neck. "Aim for the neck or the eyes! The Autobots will take care of the rest!" she ordered to the Avengers.

Shaking his head, Steve stuck close to Trinity, both moving together, moving out of the way when the Decepticons fired at them or trying not to get stepped on by the large robots. They both froze when they heard crying nearby, Trinity and Steve looking at each other. They ran towards the wreckage of cars, Trinity suddenly pushing Steve towards the car as she jumped backwards just as a Decepticon foot slammed down where they were. Steve watched with desperate eyes as Trinity crawled backwards against the stone wreckage, holding the weapon against her.

"Go!" she yelled at him, taking out the magazine to see how much she had left, before looking back up at him. "Save the innocent! Go!"

Knowing that she was right, Steve turned and rushed towards the cars, jumping over the hoods to hide behind cars. There was a family five crying and holding on to each other as the youngest held on to a brown dog that was whimpering along side them. He looked around them, seeing where he can take them to safety when the yellow Camaro SS–for the life of him, Steve couldn't remember his name–came to a screeching halt nearby. The doors opened and the seats moved forward.

"Quick, get in!" a male static voice sounded.

Steve looked towards the family and nods at them. "Go, quickly, he will be able to take you to safety."

The family ran towards the car, the kids going into the back seat, Steve standing up and looking to make sure that the family will be safe. He heard the car screeching away and sent his shield flying at the knife attached to a chain that was heading towards Trinity from the back as she called for ammo. She turned with surprise, holding on to the magazine, as she stared at the Decepticon that had screeched with anger. Quickly she snapped out of it and let the empty magazine fall before she slammed in the new one and started firing at the angry Decepticon that tried to kill her.

Steve took hold of his shield and jumped out of the way as the Decepticon started to fire his weapon towards him, falling next to Trinity, who turn back to hide behind the concrete. "Thanks," she said breathlessly, looking over their cover.

"No problem," Steve told her, holding his shield tighter.

Suddenly Trinity eyes widen, Steve frowning as he looked over their cover as well. "No, don't use lighting!"

Steve frowned with confusion and saw as Thor had used his lightning on the Decepticons. The remaining four all yelled with satisfaction, firing at the Autobots, who had all to get cover themselves. The Hulk was blasted back from one of the Decepticons, growling angrily at the enemy. Trinity swore and looked towards Will and Stone that were taking cover not too far from them, nodding at them.

"Can you shoot a gun, Cap?" Trinity asked, turning to him.

Steve gives her a curt nod, placing his shield on his back. "Yes ma'am."

Grinning, Trinity gave him her Bushmaster ACR and turned just in time to catch the sniper bag and quickly started piecing the LaRue Tactical OBR 7.62 sniper gun. Steve shook his head, amazed just how comfortable Trinity was with using many different weapons, and turned back to the Decepticons, shooting at their face to take out their eyes. As soon as she had the weapon ready for fire, Trinity took a couple of deep breaths. Steve fall back down behind their cover, taking out the empty magazine. Trinity grabbed the two magazine's that Will had given to her as well and passed them over to Steve, before taking a couple for her own weapon and tucking them into her wedge booties.

As Steve reloaded his weapon he turned to Trinity, who also turned to him. "All right, I need you to distract this Decepticon long enough for me to shoot out their eyes."

Steve nods, taking deep breaths as well. "Be careful, Trinity."

Trinity nods, also taking deep breaths. "You too, Cap."

As soon as they both exhaled, Steve quickly stood and rushed to the right, shooting at the Decepticon. Trinity inhaled deeply and pushed off the ground holding her weapon against her shoulder. She shot twice, taking out the Decepticons eyes, much to Steve's utter amazement. He still cannot believe that Trinity was good in the battle field. Even wearing what she was wearing, the woman held herself as though she had the uniform of the military on. One of the good robots had taken the blind Decepticon out, just as Trinity took cover behind a car as one of the other Decepticons started to fire their weapon at her.

Steve slid his weapon around him and threw his shield at one of the Decepticons knee, bringing it down to the floor. Its eyes were shot out and killed by another of the good robots, Steve running to the other two Decepticons. He caught his shield and rolled on the ground to hide behind one of the cars just as a sword attached to a chain fell where he was just standing. Taking his weapon once more, Steve was about to shoot at the Decepticon when an explosion took care of that for him. Steve looked up towards Trinity to see Clint, who nodded towards him, walking out into the open.

Hearing no more fighting sound, Steve stood up and looked around the destruction of the expressway. All the Decepticons were finally dead, Hulk roaring at the dead robots before slowly becoming Bruce once more. Steve walked towards the others who had come out of hiding as well, the good robots looking around them. Trinity rushed towards him and jumped into his arms, hugging him around the neck. Steve smiled with a frown, wrapping his arms around her waist, her legs not touching the ground.

"I'm sorry, I didn't get a chance to thank you for saving me earlier." she whispered against his neck.

Steve closed his eyes at the feel of her lips and breathe against him, but mostly because he thought he had almost lost her. "You're welcome."

Trinity sighs and lets him go, Steve putting her back on her feet, but continued to wrap one of his arms around her waist. "Those damn Decepticons should repay me for destroying another perfectly good clothes." she said as she looked down, everyone laughing. "Oh, my brand new booties!"

A/N: I don't know what made me get re-inspired, but I'm grateful. I decided to have bring in the Decepticons in a bit earlier to have more of a conflict between Steve and Stone, so I hope I was able to accomplish that. Also, I'm taking a great big guess on the elements here, so if I got that wrong please let me know. I'm trying to get as much information about Decepticons and Autobots, so bear with me. Please review and let me know what you think!
